- Julieanne (1/5): Shockingly dirty and deeply disappointing. - Absolutely nothing. The entire experience was unacceptable. The property was filthy, poorly maintained, and clearly not properly cleaned. Finding cockroaches in the room and suspected bed bugs in the bedding was distressing enough, but having to deal with lice afterward made the situation even worse. It was unacceptable from start to finish.

We were entertained overnight by drunk, fighting screaming local indigenous. Didn’t get much sleep! Non speaking Chinese man greeted me at check in ‘you book agoda’ show me? Ike’s!

The unlevel shower floor I slipped and nearly fell down and the noisy neighbour and the barking dog, which I understand isn't the hotel staff's fault, but it did disrupt our sleep during the stay.

- Kylie (1/5): Didn’t happen - I was not able to stay as the accommodation did not provide communication for after hours access and the motel is secured behind a locked metal fence. I have emailed seeking a refund The fact that booking.com confirmed my booking yet the motel clearly does not have after hours services or access. I booked at 10:30 at night for 14th advising I expected to arrive after 12am. There was No communication that after hours bookings could be facilitated or how to access after hours. The properties locked behind fences, which not being familiar with the area made me feel unsafe to exit my vehicle and wander around looking for after hours contact info. I reluctantly had to press on and drive a further 2hours after already Travelling 8hours that day.

- Maryanne (5/5): I needed an economical room for the night with a comfortable bed which I had. - I slept well and got an economical room for the night which I needed. The bed was comfortable and clean. The shower was good. I thought the word kitchenette gave me higher expectations of more space and better equipment. Perhaps more detail of the cooking facilities would be good. As one of the previous reviews said, the parking was very cramped. The building was very old and not much space in the room.

- ssbutd (6/5): Old & neglected but functional - needs some care and attention - We are a self catering couple. Our first impressions of the motel were not good. The office really reeked of tobacco smoke and was very unpleasant to enter. Unlike the room in the photograph, our room was dark and depressing. Overall it showed a lack of care & neglect & when we wanted to use any items from the cupboards we gave them a good scrub first. Both of the taps in the kitchen area and bathroom constantly dripped, & there wasn't a plug for the kitchen sink; there was no frying pan & the 2 other pans provided had caked oil on the base; the ceiling light fitting in the bathroom had lots of dead bugs in it; there were a few chips out of the worktop in the kitchen and the curtain at the front window had a large tear in it; the shower screen in the bathroom looks blurry and is probably scored from attempts to clean it but at least it’s not a shower curtain which would be worse; the shower is not very strong; there were no wine glasses but there was a sharp knife and a small chopping board plus modern reverse cycle aircon and bedside lights. We were given a bath towel and a hand towel, soap, combined shampoo/conditioner but no face cloths. We unpacked and went straight out to see what Moree had to offer and on returning & switching on the lights the room didn’t seem so bad and with a bit more care and attention things could be much better. In addition If they got rid of the armchair & the wardrobes and installed functional shelves it would lighten .the room up considerably The good news is that it is in a good location and it is just around the corner from the Aquatic Centre which has artesian heated pools. The entrance fee for non-local seniors was $10 each. We were also able to walk easily to the tourist centre and the town centre.

Layout of buildings create a loud space from people in courtyard, also loud noise all night from water pump or hot water service. Would have been a lot more pleasant without this. Unfortunately can't give a better rating because the noise kept me awake all night. Spoke to the owner in the morning who was apologetic and will attempt to rectify the problem, hopefully its an easy fix

- Swami (5/5): I only stayed overnight and did not have any experience except for the smelly towels!! - The motel manager was very kind and attended to me even when it was a bit late at night when I arrived. The towels were old, smelly and the kitchen facility was not at all convenient.

- Dale (8/5): A great little place to stay just around the courner from the thermal hot pool complex. - I found this motel very good. I was pleasantly surprised to find there was a kitchen and a little stove on which we could cook our food. There were also pots and pans and utensils and chopping boards. There were sufficient cups and plates, detergent, scourers and tea towels for washing up. I really appreciated this as during our holiday we stayed at some more expensive motels which had none of these features, only toasters and microwaves. It was an old room and dated and not a state of the art kitchen, however we appreciated the facilities and thoughtfulness of the motel owners. The other really good thing about this motel is the clothesline for guests, complete with pegs. We were able to use the hot pools at the thermal complex just around the courner and dry our towels and wet clothes on the line at the motel. This meant we didn't have to travel the next day with wet swimming gear. This was so thoughtful. I thanked the owner personally as I thought is was a great future not often seen in motels. There was a guest laundry for those wanting to do a wash and there were also BBQ facilities across from the rooms. It was all good. Please be aware it is an old motel. If you are looking for a modern room, you might be disappointed but we were more than happy with the room and its features, location, quietness, etc, which is why I rated this motel highly.

- Leroy (10/5): Exceptional - Room was clean, everything worked - and the fully equipped kitchenette (with hotplate, utensils and fridge) was an unexpected bonus. Train and coach station about 5 minutes away by foot. Supermarket about 15 minutes away (by foot).

- Anonymous (4/5): the room itself was fine and cost was comfortable, parking was good also just customer service wasn’t as good as everyth - bed and pillows were comfortable, towels clean and enough soup was given the costumer service wasn’t at its best, l arrived late because of a family emergency which l apologised for and partially explained, l was then asked why l couldn’t go elsewhere and why did l have to pick them, they also continued to complain about my booking and had me wait in the cold for longer than necessary.
