Guest Reviews
- Sandy (6/5): - Location close to family and beach The smell coming out of the drain and the toilet continue sticking and running water.
Kitchen extremely small with very little bench space.
- Bryan (8/5): Very satisfied - Being in winter nice and quiet Parking could be closer to unit
- Paul (4/5): Nice Location, Accommodation very poor needs to catch up to late 19th century - Great location in Port Macquarie, close to beaches and out of main centre The Beach Bungalows are very old and need some attention. The room smelt old when we walked in, fit a family of 5 in 2 bedrooms, very small kitchen area with very limited cooking facilities and a very small fridge, 1 lounge that could seat 3, a really old TV that you could not hot spot to. We stayed in early May, so it was cool days and nights as Bungalow has 1 ceiling fan in middle of main area to cool entire bungalow, NO air-conditioning at all, so would hate to be there in middle of summer and NO Wi-Fi to connect to. Considering we paid $200 p/n this accommodation was totally unacceptable in my opinion. Will never stay there again.
- Angela (8/5): Practical, comfortable and convenient - The room was perfect for us as we were out most of the day so really only needed a place to shower and sleep.
I would stay here again. WiFi was not an easy option so opted to hotspot. TV choices minimalist but you don’t stay in Lighthouse Beach for the Tv.
Lack of air conditioning would be problematic during hot spells.
- Alex (8/5): Very good - Thr Cabin was Comfortable and Clean Nothing .
- Carlton (8/5): Very good - Location and setting No internet access
- Christopher (9/5): Superb - The layout of the bungalow was good and had everything we needed for the stay. Nothing.
- Julie (7/5): Good -
- Brooke (7/5): Good - Room size No fans
- Narelle (4/5): Disappointing -
- Tony (6/5): Pleasant -
- Amanda (5/5): OK, but not outstanding - n/a Not enough lights in the cabin, and a strange smell, probably damp.
- R (10/5): Exceptional -
- Monique (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maguirescs (4/5): Disappointing -
- Anita (7/5): Good, short getaway, on the beach - Location , clean and tidy
- Jonathon (6/5): Pleasant -
- Rod (8/5): Very good -
- Rod (8/5): Very good -
- Sudhir (5/5): Passable -
- Margot (1/5): Bad - Setting and colour scheme. Very poor lighting in main area
Faulty hot water system.
Both points above made bungalow TOTALLY inadequate
- Frances (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hockley (10/5): Enjoyable - Everything it was close to the beach and the cabin was great Nothing
- Naomi (7/5): Good - Space, location and layout The heating wasn’t effective
- Leslie (6/5): Would stay again - Close to all facilities, hot water Excellant as was the water pressure in the shower Communication and no lock box for early departure , heating of bungalow and no stove only hot plate and microwave and no after hrs contact number that we could find to inform of our early departure. Parking was not next to bungalow
- George (9/5): Superb -
- Jo-anne (6/5): Nice location. - well equipped kitchen (enough plates , good sized fridge), comfortable main bed. tv worked (free to air). Peaceful location, space between cabins. Decent car parking. No security eg no phone number to call, no gate at entrance, no fence at back. Cleaning- bird droppings on the kitchen sink and outdoor table. Complimentary milk was a month out of date. No storage space in bathroom. Cooktop was in a high cupboard, a little hard for short people to reach. No wifi. No guest information.
- Alister (9/5): Superb - The staff are very helpful and accommodating. They are brilliant to assist me with booking accommodation for my company and they have gone above and beyond to take care of our workers.
Highly recommend. It wasn't me staying in the cabins.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Bernadette (8/5): Relaxing end to long trip - We had a bungalow which was very spacious and despite it being a very warm weekend we caught the breeze which kept us comfortable.
The only recommendation I would have is a fan for the main bedroom. A previous tenant of this bungalow had left the cooking appliances dirty and greasy. This was not found by the staff prior to our arrival. Making it difficult for us to cook a meal.
Unable to find a staff member to report it to, we left it until departure. However we received an apology and an offer for a future stay to compensate. So we left happy.
- Kathleen (9/5): Great spot for family’s to get away, close to beach and shops - Great spot close to beach and shops. No staff available in reception and hard to reach via phone.
- Barb (10/5): Exceptional - Was a clean and beautiful park Nothing
- John (9/5): Overall - very happy with the accommodation. Very quiet and comfortable and well situated. - Did not have breakfast. Our accommodation was self catering. We provided our own breakfast. and the kitchen facilities were quite adequate. Would have liked a hairdryer. And the washing up detergent appeared to be missing with a hand wash dispenser the only detergent available. As we didn't have any with us it was a negative, although a minor one.
The accommodation was not air-conditioned. This was not a problem during our stay, however should the weather have been a lot hotter - it could have been.
- Maria (8/5): Very happy and it suited the purpose of the visit to perfection - Did our own breakfasts but tea and coffee was made available. We had the space of a small flat and we looked for that in preference to a motel room. Quiet and close to nature No prior contact seemed possible as we could never get past the
message bank and email went unanswered
- Jackie (10/5): great family spot - really close to everything
quiet villa no ac - took a few nights to get used too 🤩
- Keshia (8/5): Very good - It was an amazing little bungalow. We will be back No air conditioning
- Ava (7/5): Good - Close to beach and quiet No air conditioning very hot
- Witt (8/5): Very good -
- Rochnee (8/5): Very good -
- Steev (6/5): Pleasant -
- Brian (8/5): Great space but missing some simple amenities. - Great space for a family That towels, shampoo, sheets for bunk beds and internet were not included.
- Amy (9/5): Superb -
- Katherine (8/5): Very good -
- Kaila (10/5): Exceptional -
- Walding (10/5): Exceptional - A great overnight stay here in one of their spacious villas. We were quite close to a main road and were a little concerned about how noisy it would be but it was quiet and we slept well in the very comfortable bed. The villa was very roomy and well equipped and staff couldn't have been more helpful when our circumstances changed. We would definitely recommend a stay here and will be back ourselves one day. Nothing
- Samantha (9/5): Superb -
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Jessica (9/5): Superb -
- Eliza (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Not sure in this day and age that to have a cabin with no air con is acceptable, also the window would not stay up in the kids room to allow for air flow not very good
- Ani (8/5): - The location was amazing! Cabins clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We didn’t have any hot water one morning until well after midday.
- Erin (10/5): Quiet location, great facilities - Easy check-in & out, cabin was in a great location within park and larger than I thought. Living area quite generous as well as a large balcony/verandah with plenty of grass out the front for the kids to run around.
Basic cooking appliances but enough for breakfast and we did cook dinner in the cabin one night as it was too cold to cook outside on bbq's.
Caravan park located to south of Port, away from hustle & bustle but close drive for dining or rec activities. Close to Lighthouse beach & golf course, with Tacking Point Tavern & Coles 600m away. Highly recommend a stay here.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Nice location, friendly, helpful staff, but the cabin is very basic & old.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - How helpful the staff was.
And how quite it was at night time.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - It was very outdated. It was a cabin and has probably been there since the 70’s. It smelt musty and two windows didn’t lock.
- Ali (6/5): Is ok just stay for a night - Every things Old and needed updating
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was lovely but no front porch light! Other wise everything was good!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Super friendly and flexible with a late check out. Great prices and well kept grounds.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I appreciated being given an upgrade to an ensuite cabin
- Bernadette (8/5): Cheap accommodation - I was only stopping overnight on a trip. Price was cheap
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The pool was great but my son hurt himself and i had to leave early to go hospital before i could call and explain that i didnt take out the rubbish they sent me a rude message and told me they would black list my name and charged me $100 cleaning fee the price was what i thought was good and in the end cost me almost 200 dollar for one night spent if you stay here make sure you leave no rubbish
- Gloria (10/5): - Very comfortable and great price, stayed in the en-suite cabin for 1 night. The bathroom was a little squishy but other than that, excellent! Travelled from Brisbane and Glen was accommodating in letting us check-in early on a Saturday. Fantastic!
- Erin (10/5): - All good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - What a great time at lighthouse beach with friends and family would stay again .
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Suits all budgets. Late checkin available. Close to the beach. Resort style feel
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Comfortable cabin, close to lighthouse beach. Off the main road so it’s nice and quiet.
- Verified traveler (8/5): GOOD FOR A QUICK STAY OVER - THE ACCOMMODATION WAS PERFECT FOR US AND WHAT WE WANTED TO DO. WE HAD A NICE COMFY BED, HOT SHOWER AND FRIDGE. SUITED US FINE. THE DECOR IS OLD FASHIONED BUT THAT DOES NOT WORRY US.
- Doyley (8/5): Great customer service - I booked on line and was called in the next 24hrs to confirm. Friendly and very helpful service.
- jimmy (10/5): great park - as usual great
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Whilst cabin was older it served us really well. Has a small kitchen and plenty of space for sleeping and eating. Facilities onsite were excellent and grounds were immaculate.
- Dave (8/5): How can you go wrong for $50 - $50 for a cabin that can sleep 4-6 people is amazing, there was a curtain missing to separate the two halves of the cabin but again for $50 per night who cares. There's also no air conditioning but a little fan was provided & worked quite well.
The BBQ area was clean & spacious.
5 minute walk to the beach that has camel rides on weekend, great spot
Will be back if we're in the area.
- Gwynell (8/5): Quiet area close to beach. - This was one of our cheaper stays but we felt we got value for what we paid. The cabin was a bit dated but it was quite comfortable and contained what we needed.
- Maz (8/5): Great spot for a break. - Older style bungalow. Very clean and neat. Relaxing peaceful spot close to beach. Lots of birds and wildlife.
- Wayne (2/5): Wayne Steele - The dirtiest accomadation I have ever stayed at! Visit it before you book to stay! The shower block was 10/10 however it needed to be!
- KERRY (6/5): GORGEOUS LOCATIONS - STAFF EXCELLENT, GROUNDS GORGEOUS & PEACEFUL, NO AIR CON, CABIN WAS MORE BASIC THEN ADVERTISED BUT RELATIVELY CLEAN & ALL YOU NEEDED, I WOULD STAY AGAIN.....
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very friendly
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Our stay met our needs. Front desk staff very helpful friendly. Compared to staff on web wotif as found them hard to understand.
- RLB (8/5): Garden heaven - Rested and relaxed, ready to drive on the Pacific Highway.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Beautiful location so close to the beach - Great peaceful location, pleasant staff and good facilities
- Verified traveler (8/5): lovely position lovely surrounds
- good will stay again and tell friends.about this park and good beach and restaurants nearby.
- james (10/5): Love it - Great for price the best ever love this place.
- Liz (10/5): Family weekend away. - We stayed in a bungalow cabin, plenty of space for a family of 5. Kids loved the triple bunks, although it was hard to keep the younger ones out! Will stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything was great in this accommodation. we really enjoyed our stay :)
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice and quite place.
- 10 min from the heart of Port Macquarie.
Quite location next to golf course and close to the beach.
- PJC (6/5): Overnight stay. - A place to lay my head before moving on (safe place away from precipitation from cyclone Debbie) ...heading to meet my family at a holiday location on the back beaches of Crescent Head...
Chilled and watched football on Foxtel!!
- Brad (8/5): Very good value - Very good value - beautiful pool
- Brad (10/5): Nice short stay - Friendly service and a beautiful pool. Cabin was a bit warm but it was a very hot day.
- Alison (10/5): Very relaxing and worth it - Saw wildlife reptiles and other awesome animals.beautiful area.
- Emma (6/5): You get what you pay for - It was pretty cheap and nasty, the room we were in was not featured in a single photo on the website- which I believe to be a little misleading. We weren't expecting much-given what we paid, but it was underwhelming. No microwave or iron, and the 100 year old oven handle was a piece of timber- attached by nails. The water was shut off for the better part of the day too. We checked out a day early and just copped the loss on the chin.
- BG (2/5): not a great experience - after a long travel we finally reached the place and the hotel staff was very nice and gave us a full details of where what is and how to get around including directions on a map (pretty nice).., but the cabin was no good with dead cockroaches and coverbs, my 6 years old was sacred to sleep in so we all slept in our car.not a good night may be it was not for us.
- phil (10/5): Staff extremely friendly, beautiful surroundings. - Close to amenities like shops etc. great food and drinks in the cafe. We had the Bungalow which is nice and roomy.
- Pam (10/5): Nice room close to all amenities - Had a very enjoyable, quiet & relaxed night listening to the roll of the waves as one went to sleep.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Cheep - May have over paid at $50 very basic need of a lot of updating
- Verified traveler (8/5): simple but rewarding. - trees around and bird song to wake up to. inexpensive but all you need. people helpful.beach and long walks close by.
- sanjay (8/5): Value for money - It was comfortable and I could not ask for more considering it was a standard cabin in a caravan park at a very affordable price.
- EJ (6/5): Convenient to
The beach - Standard cabin within a caravan park. A bit noisy when trucks passed and the cabin would tremer when trucks passed
- K & T (10/5): LEAVE A REVIEW SIR? (No Way No Time Never!!!) - Lighthouse Beach Village? (LBV Love Too)
LBV is the Best and Most Relaxing Place to Stay than anywhere on the NSW Qld Coast.
At Little Cost with Great Service Gorgeous Restaurant and Everything else you want and need to Fully Rejuvenate Yourself!!
So Be Selfish!!You Deserve It!!!
- patton (6/5): Get what you pay for - Needs a overhaul to cabins..It suffers from not being in a good location..Beach is close but not patrolled,no good for kids..Kitchens need upgrading, stove in cabin looks like its from the 60s..More comfortable fur iture would be a nice plus..overall i only paid approx 130 a night so to get something in peak holiday peroid was good and kids loved the pool..
- Verified traveler (2/5): dont stay here - Upon arrival it wasn't made clear that 3 single bunk beds didn't have linen, it was about 4:30pm and they were too busy rushing to leave for the day. I have to pay for 2 extra towels for my kids as they only supplied 2 for us adults and linen for a double bed. None of this was specified on booking. The cost was based on 2 adults and 2 kids $190 an extra cost $27 for the extra child was added. For what????? Nothing for any of the kids was supplied! Only 2 pieces of soap a broken sink and broken screens on window. I had to leave it was more worth the 4hr drive home in the middle of the night with exhausted kids to sleep in comfy beds then there! What a rip off !
