Guest Reviews
- Adrian (7/5): Too short - Will return for longer stay next year In summer really Australian experience Would advise not getting there for first time when dark ( after daylight) drove around for ages trying to find my area, be good to have some reflective signs
- Bolynn (8/5): Great location but don’t expect too much from the accommodation. - Great location and so good for families, water sports and fishing. The cabins are old now. They are very basic and poorly equipped and lacked some of the most basic kitchen equipment. What was there has been well used and needs replacement.
The cabin it self needs a good clean.
Window locks are broken, some windows didn’t slide in the tracks and couldn’t be opened. The bathroom was well worn and had some black mould were water pools around the door frame on the floor.
It was a two bedroom cabin so could sleep four people, but it only had a couch for two people.
The whole place is tired.

- Amy (10/5): - Everything! Beautiful views, wonderful wildlife and excellent villa accommodation. Clea and very comfortable beds.
- Ann-Marie (9/5): Very relaxing stay - Beautiful views, super relaxing sitting on balcony watching the boats and birds. The lounge was too small and needed to be cleaned.

- Robert (9/5): Will be back. Thank you . - We stayed in a two bedroom villa. The view from our villa overlooked the dam which was relaxing and beautiful. Our grandsons especially liked the putt putt and playground facilities. The cleanliness of the villa was excellent with sheets and towels of a high standard. .
- Rose (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cassie (8/5): Very good - The views from the cabin were amazing I would stay here again just for that. Fire pit right outside the cabin.
- Neil (9/5): Superb -
- Krissie (9/5): A beautiful tranquil place, we loved it. Great safari tent’s. -
- Woods (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kevin (10/5): Enjoyable and great - Lovely place quiet serene very complete facility's Location and quietness being the mid week
- Janis (10/5): - Safari tent was clean and appointed with all the basics and laid out in such a way that each tent feels very private. The lake is beautiful. We'll definitely return.
- Garry (9/5): Great and relaxing - Clean tidy and spacious Too far from the toilets
- Lorraine (10/5): Great place - Pretty, quiet area.
Wished we'd found it sooner however we were on our way home from a road trip.
Reckon it would get packed in school holidays.
We liked the fact that no pets allowed also, as there were roos, plenty birds and even saw a hare. Had to walk across wet grass to unload the car but really, that's a third world problem.
- Tony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andres (8/5): Enjoyable one night away in a safari tent - The safari tent number 5 had a good view of the lake (not many trees in front compared to the other ones) also didn’t really see the other tents even with the peripheral vision which was good.
The lake was lovely, nice walking areas, the putt-putt was a nice way to spend 30 mins, the oval was big and good to kick a ball around, playground was also good to burn energy. The bunks weren’t made up, hard to get the top one made up.
In my opinion tenting and safari tents should have an earlier check in than the cabins. Doesn’t take long to get these sorted out and an earlier check-in would be better for families.
- Machi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jasmin (7/5): Good - The view is amazing. Hot showers, clean, pizza and seafood truck over the weekend. Only a 15minute drive to Kilcoy center. Our internet didn't work, the mattress was really hard and there was no oven. But we made it work. You still get signal on your own ph.
- Keith (9/5): Superb -
- Sharon (8/5): Very good - We have never stayed in a safari tent. We loved the tent, and such peaceful, beautiful surrounds overlooking the lake. The bed was very unomfortable
- Kim (8/5): enjoyable - convenient bed and bit hard
- Greg (10/5): Fabulous - Beautiful location on the lake.
Excellent cabins.
- Louisa (6/5): Pleasant -
- Annalie (10/5): - Loved everything about our stay. Great holiday park!
- Luo (8/5): Very peaceful and beautiful - Quiet and relaxing Close to the lake
- Louanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shelley (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable and clean The neighbouring tent who was playing music all night.
- Angeliki (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful accommodation, amazing views, great animal encounters, clean common facilities
Great staff who helped us enjoy our stay more 1. The golf needs an update...it was hard even to play
2. They need to tell people before they arrive that the administration of the holiday park has nothing to do with the water sports, hiring a boat etc..Kayaking, fishing and hiring a boat are activities you can do by tracking a man who owns his business seconds away from the lake and the resort..Any other sports..people bring their own gear..
3. We had to buy our own firewood
4. The call centre seems to work separately from the administration of the holiday park...confusion and delays regarding a change we wanted to do days before we arrive...
- Andrea (8/5): Very good -
- Turra (10/5): Very enjoyable and quiet - Was beautiful outlook quiet well kept park and amenities very clean.
- Carly (9/5): Plenty of space & load of fun! We’ll be back soon - Perfect location, loved looking out to the water and not seeing the neighbours. The deck, outside table & chairs should be washed/cleaned down the day before arrival or the morning of, as there was a lot of bird droppings and dirt everywhere.
There should be an air fryer because of no oven.
- Simon (5/5): Clean and nice, but no tv or WiFi - Nice place No wifi, problem to do work online. We stayed there because it was close to work.
The tv did not work either because of no internet
- Paige (10/5): our stay at the somerset holiday park was so refreshing! we love coming here on our annual camping trips now! - the facilities and site grounds were kept very clean. And staff were very lovely and accomodating during our stay water activities (kayak ect.) we’re not available, due to a competition off site. this was the only let down of the trip, however it did not effect the amazing time we had.
- Ren24 (9/5): Peaceful and tranquil setting. A world away from the city! - Glamping tents had a wonderful view overlooking the lake. Peaceful and tranquil, waking up to birds and plenty of kangaroos about.
Loved the firepits just outside our tents. Only drawback was some campers not following noise policy after hours... You always get them!! Nothing against the park at all.
- Neil (9/5): Superb - Clean comfortable accommodation
Very Clean amenities
Good location
- Jasmine (8/5): Comfy and cosy stay - The 2 bedroom villa waa comfy and cosy. Had everything we needed. Love the deck that looks out to the fire pit and a few metre walk down to the water. The cabins are very close together. No privacy on the deck or if using fire pits. Also think the cabin needs a deep clean. We pushed the bed over to fit the baby sleeper and underneath was thick dust.
- Livingston (10/5): Exceptional -
- Phillip (8/5): - Nothing I didn't like
- Valerie (2/5): Very poor - Lovely view. Freezing and not enough blankets, no toaster or microwave toet and shower a long way away especially for nightime.
- Pragya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Viv (8/5): Very good -
- Rakkitha (8/5): Very good -
- Brady (7/5): Good -
- Banda (5/5): Disappointing, overrun by putrid, maggot infested fish carcasses & flies! - Not much! Dozens of whole fish on dam bank, hollowed out by fly maggots creating an overwhelming swarm at the BBQ & they poured through the cabin vent into the kitchen whilst cooking. The smell was putrid! We had to block the vent! Massive boats blocking parking for cars, they should be pushed off to the other side (signed designated areas)!
- Alice.park (10/5): Exceptional - Calm and beautiful area Can't use mini golf and camp fire
- Thean (8/5): Very good -
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Justin (9/5): Best place for family's to spend time together, around the open 🔥. - Awesome views, so good you can still have open fires, changed a bit since I saw it last. That I couldn't bring my dog.
- Laura (6/5): - The property is a glamping tent, described as having a 'shared bathroom'. This is misleading as suggests shared with another glamping tent.
The bathrooms were the ammenities blocks on the site. Clean and functional, but a walk at night in the dark.
This was not what we expected, it impacted me personally for medical reasons, my sleep.and we left early in the morning before 6am due to the impact.
Please change your advertising to clearly show that there is a walk to the ammenities and not a 'shared bathroom'. Very misleading, we did not enjoy our stay, it caused us to leave very early and a difficult night.
- Nora (10/5): It was a great getaway for a few days to relax and revitalise. Beautiful accommodations with all the necessities to enjo - The beautiful surroundings. Staying in a comfortable villa but still in among nature. Not applicable
- Karl (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ian (8/5): Very good -
- Mariajyla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gavin (9/5): Well worth it - Quite Very clean and the Veiw
- Natalie (10/5): Exceptional - So quiet and peaceful! We went just after school holidays finished and there were only a few others there so it was super relaxing. We loved the kangaroos coming up close! I wish we knew that each cabin had its own fire pit so that we would have brought supplies to actually use it!
- Andrés (6/5): Nice for summer! - The environment of nature It is a lovely place, but nights are freezing in the camping house. Better to go in summer when nights are warmer.
- Bethan (10/5): Exceptional - Safari Tents are spacious.
Complimentary tea.
Good view. A little bit difficult to find the tent and tent parking in the dark.
No heaters.
- Yingshia (10/5): Exceptional - Staff friendly. Clean accommodation Nothings
- Chris (8/5): - Peaceful and clean
- Grace (10/5): ❤️❤️❤️ mystical magical - beautiful lake. the superior villa was very clean, warm and inviting and comes with a dishwasher!
the log cabin was amazing, very clean. big new bathroom, with washing machine and dryer. loved the kitchen big family fridge and big oven. gas bbq outside. we had so much fun at the lake - mystical magical 😔no red laws. 🥹only caught baby fish. 2 nights was too short
- Robert (10/5): - Just a beautiful place to wake up in the morning.
- Arcila (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thomas (9/5): could easily spend a week there. - great location. lovely facilities. we stayed in a safari tent and the weather was pretty horrendous. but the tent was awesome. bathroom facilities were good. didn’t use the kitchen but it looked good enough. right on the lake. lovely grounds with kangaroos hopping around. would stay again and recommend.
- Chris (9/5): Superb - Accommodation, location and helpful staff. Nothing.
- Yingshia (10/5): More things to buy at the reception area - Friendly staff ,clean room
- Tim (9/5): Superb -
- Vikas (9/5): Fabulous stay at NRMA Somerset lake - Facilities, views Garbage bins close to kitchen could be very helpful.
- Shanoah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Moran (10/5): Exceptional - The lake is beautiful.
The cabin was well equipped and clean.
- Bishop (7/5): best weekend away..perfect for the family will definitely be back - everything was great needs air con
- Ho (8/5): Nice lake view - very very nice view, wake up with the Lake view is super cool experience!!! if they Road sign within the holiday park area is more clear, it would be much better! because when the time I arrive is almost sunset, and is a bit hard to find my room haha.
- Ying (9/5): Superb -
- Ray (9/5): Superb -
- Ana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gayle (5/5): Passable - High price for a safari tent with basically a bed and a fridge. No sink or water to fill the jug for coffee. No ensuite, amenity block a long distance away.
- B_wright (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (10/5): - Loved having my own slice of paradise! When you book the log cabin you have an acre to your selves. So no need to feel closed in with other campers. Can’t wait to go back for another fishing trip.
- Amzy... (7/5): We will be back in the summer ☀️
Perfect for family time and very private, comfy, kids loved it ❤️ - Was amazing experience.. Would be better in the summer time ❤️
