- James (9/5): Lovely, peaceful chalets set in quiet woods but close to town and main beaches. - My wife had read reviews on Google and was a little apprehensive given a good few negative ones, however she was really pleased with how wrong they were. It was lovely and quiet, extremely clean, had so many perks such as proper bathroom items to use, tea and coffee facilities provided and supplies supplied, more untensils than we own in our own kitchen. The decking area was large and daily sightings of a large kangaroo were fun to see. The grounds itself have a few forest walks and overall we'd stay there again. It was also very easy to find our chalet, very well signposted. Nothing.

Chalet #5 Very small shower and only lukewarm water on the second night. Weird fishy smell coming up from the drain in the bathroom. Very unpleasant experience with the owner/manager when I had a problem with the television.

- Ian (10/5): - Absolutely loved our time in the chalet. Quiet & idilic. Only stayed for 5 nights, but could have stayed for 5 months, as the chalet had everything you could ever need.
- EngLim (6/5): - The accommodation is spacious, in a lovely setting amongst trees. The bathroom floors were sticky. One of the bedroom windows would not open, so it was warm on our first night. Owner was going to charge us $150 for a cleaner. The coffee machine had used grounds in it. The coffee plunger spout was chipped, as was the rim of the glass salad bowl.

The lounge and kitchen area was spacious in Chalet 5 (for 2 or 3 people). Great BBQ decking area with table and chairs. Chalet was very clean and check in very easy. Nice big TV and comfy couch. Not far to drive to the beaches or Margaret River. Bathroom, especially shower was small which was a shame. as living area great., Bathroom was not near the bedroom which I prefer. Flyscreen on sliding door needs maintenance. There was no kitchen table, only stools at bench, but that didn't bother us too much. Very small things but could be improved.

- Cherie (6/5): Lovely place but I wouldn’t stay in summer again - Chalet 3 was beautifully appointed and ample room for our party of 4. The photos I’ve seen don’t do it justice. Kitchen well stocked for cooking (pots, pans, mixing bowls etc) and a full size fridge and freezer. A tv with local channels is in the chalet. It was clean and comfortable and next to a beautiful lake you could view from the kitchen and dining windows. One ensuite bathroom and one large bathroom. Both were clean and had some basic toiletries (shampoo, conditioner and body wash) Unfortunately when we arrived at 3pm in 35c heat, the blinds were all open and the aircon was off. While it gave the chalet a nice and light feel, it was like an oven. There is one split system AC in the lounge room. None in the bedrooms. It took about 4hrs to cool the place down. The following day (Christmas Day) it got to 40c and there was a power outage in Margaret River. While this was absolutely not the fault of the venue, there was no hurry to get a generator started which apparently would have cut out when everyone turned AC on. With no power there was no water or flushable toilets. So we made the call to depart a day early and drive home on Christmas Day.

There was a mix up with a double booking between two booking sites and two booking groups in the same Chalet but this is I believe a site issue. Not the business issue.

It was cold at times unless you had it turned up +++. Due to this fact wouldn’t like to stay during winter months. Also had to chase up code to lock box on arrival. Lots of space in shared areas inside and bush location was fantastic. Good heating. Coffee machine too. Covered outdoor patio with barbecue and outdoor setting for a group. Nothing!!!

- Nicole (8/5): Comfortable and peaceful. - Peaceful. Lovely outlook from kitchen window over the dam. Washing machine was a great addition. Comfortable lounge and full kitchen with oven, cooktop, dishwasher and large fridge with plentiful ice all excellent. Unit 5 is hard to identify being attached to the back of unit 4 rather than standalone like the others. Signage on the driveway would help with this. No bbq for Unit 5 although Booking .com implied there was one. Outdoor sitting area was two tired chairs on a sandy brick area. No table and no roof. This was not clear from the photos on booking.com although if you book direct (which we didn’t) it is. We couldn’t sit outside pretty much the whole time due to weather which we would have done had there been shelter.

Front door was extremely hard to lock from the inside and we had to end up key locking from the outside and entering from the sliding doors on the other side which were also difficult to lock with the instructions provided.

- Lai Fun Isabel (1/5): I will never book anymore stays through Booking.com as not responsible and evict responsibility - We went to the property site and discovered that we were allocated property number 5 which is a one bedroom chalet whereas we paid for a 3 bedroom chalet. We called but no one answered and as it was getting dark, we drove off to another site to book 3 rooms to spend 3 nights. It was a great disappointment. No one, not even Booking.com could help us.

The sliding door did not slide, the bed was covered in dog hair and gave me allergies, no sponges provided for cleaning dishes, no email with instructions on chalet number or entry information sent before arrival.
- Debbie (10/5): Amazing, picturesque accommodation. - I was impressed the moment I arrived. I loved that it was exactly what I wanted. The chalet is well-equipped, the beds are comfortable, and the whole unit was spotless. I manage holiday accommodation, so I am aware of standards, and Acacia Chalets met my standards with flying colours. The place is amazing, we will be returning as I have fallen in love with the place, so close to town, and I just love the bush, so peaceful and whisper quiet. You have exceeded my expectations, very happy indeed. A credit to the owners / Managers/ cleaners That we couldn't stay longer. :)

- Sa'edah (8/5): Forest Stay in Margret River - The house was comfortable and big. We even managed to do a bbq. The surrounding was very beautiful. It was close to quite a number of attractions. We had a beautiful 3 nights stay. The check in instructions weren't clear. It was indicated as Chalet 1, 2, 3. It wasn't clear that the chalet was 3, 4, 5. We called support because there wasn't any other form of communication and we didnt have any local number. The person who attended to me was extremely rude, he said dont exaggerate or say u are stranded. Jus say u didnt read properly. I thought it was totally uncalled for given that we arrived at night, it was raining and it was pitch dark.

- Jolene (8/5): Wonderful place to come and unwind. - Beautiful location. Lots of open space around the units and a great location for all the activities we wanted to do. Chalets are well equipped with everything you might need. A little more attention to cleaning is requires. Carpets are quite dirty and there are cob webs in the vaulted ceilings.

- Kay (3/5): Buyer Beware - The photos and description of this stay could not be reconciled. A one bedroom chalet was in fact a granny flat attached to the main house. No privacy. Dining area non existent unless you include eating on uncomfortable metal stools at the chopping centre of the kitchen. The shower was so small you had to hide in the corner or else you risked scalding water, cold water or no water when you touched the faucet. Outdoor "verandah" was non existent, 2 old chairs outside the faulty screen door. Nearly $250 a night what a joke. Booking.com you should do some about this guy. Look at Google reviews. I'm not the only one.
- Kim (5/5): Overall after a stressful start our stay was comfortable and we enjoyed the activity that we had planned for our stay. - Great location very close to many activities and the wineries of course. Great size property and well appointed with what you would need for a stay away from home. Unfortunately we did not have the best experience checking in. Prior to arrival we had been provided with a basic checkin which explained how to access the chalet. This did however not provide us with the actual chalet number or the code to access the locked box. I phoned the property manager number provided with the check in from Booking.com no answer so I then phone booking.com. All they could do was to contact the property manager and let me know that if they did not hear back within 30 mins my booking would be cancelled and they would apparently find me alternate accommodation. This completely stressed me out. Thankfully and eventually the property manager returned my call and provided the access code to the Locked box. He then advised that booking.com has this information. This is very confusing for me. Anyway we were able to gain access and continue with our holiday. I was overall a little disappointed that our accommodation did not seem to be what was shown on the website. We did not have a stand alone chalet but was attached to the house. The bedroom did not have air conditioning and at night you could hear voices from the main house next door. The other thing that occurred and could not have been predicted was that on the first night while sitting in the lounge room there was a loud bang. On inspection we discovered that the shower head had completely sheered off and fallen to the floor. Thank goodness the property manager was at the property for the weekend. He came over and was then able to organise and fit a new shower head the following morning. I wonder what would have occurred if he had not been at the property!

- Michelle (3/5): Poor - Property manager was rude, unhelpful and a little threatening on the phone. Master bedroom was not made up and no sheets, doona cover or pillow cases were provided anywhere in rhe property for the master ensuite bedroom. Access code was not provided by the propeety prior to check in so needed to sit outside for an hour and wait to be supplied with this. Terrible wifi, non existent. Property external garden and grass look nothing like the pictures..no where at all for kids to play or run around as in images.. all sand and rocky ground only. We left behind a projector remote at the property which the owner confirmed he had found. Provided a return label for it to be sent back but owner refused to send back unless i submitted a positive review. Actual chalet is very nice and has everything though. Nice peaceful location. Could be great if our experience with the owner wasn't so terrible. Perhaps if the ownwr organises a good propery manager to deal with guests this could be a great place to stay.

- Kate (10/5): Just perfect! - We stayed at Acacia Chalets for four nights, using it as a base to explore the Margaret River area. It has a perfect location, betweeen town and the beach. We loved the sparkling clean home, generous ensuite bathrooms and well appointed kitchen. The large back deck was perfect for relaxing and watching the ducks, rabbits, kangaroos and abundant birdlife. There were two of us, but plenty of space for two couples or a family of four.
- Brett (8/5): Very good - Really liked the quiet evenings and the whole place had a comfortable feel about it. I liked the wide open paddock out back where you go for a wander. Due to the website pictures I was expecting a verandah. I was initially disappointed by this, that’s why i chose, ‚did not meet my expectations‘. Signage for visitors for chalets 1 - 3 was clear but not for our chalet 5. We established our chalet through a process of elimination. You just need a sign similar to the other one (unless I’m blind and there is one).
