Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (4/5): Unpleasant check in - Hotel asked for credit card info on sheet of paper incase customer caused damage, even tho room fully paid online. I do understand reason.Tried to explain that Aus has national privacy law agst collecting/keeping personal info esp credit card info, their practice was actually violation. Owner got aggressive, insisted that is their policy and wanted to throw us out without listening. Didnt understand nor stop what he was doing to listen. Wasnt trying to be difficult, infact did hand over card info but tried to explain such practices was not lawful incase he didnt know. Was told off rudely instead. Disappointing. Wont stay there again even tho room was clean, basic, comfortable.
- Andrea (8/5): - Simple and clean. Was hard to find a number to call to check in but once found very straightforward.
- alexandrajI4393EJ (10/5): home away from home - Such a beautiful cosy place. Lovely artwork and decor. Homely architecture. Clean. Great price for three bedrooms. The kids were thrilled to have their own room each! Wish we could have stayed longer.
- Jacob (6/5): - Left three times phone messages over two days but no replies at all.
Not sure what the noise is from 3:00 am til 8:00 am each morning some motor or pump maybe.
- Rebecca (10/5): - Very spacious and clean rooms. Was disappointed only tea bags available, no coffee or creamer in room.
- Verified traveler (2/5): House of Horrors - Avoid at all costs! - I always try to give a balanced review with a mixture of positives and negatives but it is very difficult to do so for this property. From a positive side, it is a fair size and close to the Pinnacles NP. That is pretty much where it ends.
Negatives:
- Cockroach infestation - I went to lay down on the bed and 3 coachroaches came out to play. We must have counted 10+ different bugs (some photos attached).
- Airconditioning - the unit was stuck on 25 degrees and won't go any lower.
- Poor communication with owner - we were unsure how to access the property so had to call the owner and be given directions etc over the phone. I called again to complain about the bugs and aircon and see if there was anything that could be done (e.g. fix aircon, switch property etc). I was told they had the receipts to show the property had been fumigated this week and that the bugs must be dead ones. I was also told I had not left the aircon on long enough to cool. Both of which were false, the bugs were live and the property was roasting despite the aircon running for hours.
Never ever again.
- Joel (10/5): - Nice property very clean close to shops restaurant and bp
- Kim (10/5): - Excellent location
- linda (6/5): Good and clean - The unit was nice but for a 3 day stay there was only a half and a full roll of toilet paper. Not enough dishwashing liquid for the stay and no extra garbage bags supplied. There was no wifi which would of been good for the price you pay per night. No ceiling fan in room only aircon in the lounge room and a ceiling fan. Overall probably we wouldn't stay again
- Greg (10/5): - Great location quiet and peaceful
- Alison (10/5): - Stopped on the way up north and house had everything we needed for a stopover.
- David (8/5): - Good for an overnight stay. Close to the Tavern for food and drinks. Owner was very friendly when communicating with us.
- Coral (10/5): - Very comfortable and easy parking close to everything comfortable bed and plenty of room and modern
- Syd (10/5): - Great 3 bedroom accommodation with full cooking facilities. Very homely and comfortable.
- Craig (8/5): - Place is clean, roomy and comfortable
- Pamela (10/5): - Very comfortable, spacious, under cover parking, friendly hosts. Would definitely recommend
- Janice (4/5): Cervantes WA - The address for the property on Hotels.com is incorrect, i couldn't find the units, the office has moved to a hotel which is the Tavern. Even after checking in they couldn't give me an address for the unit, someone came out side and pointed down this street, turn left then right, keep driving till you find the units. Took about an hour from when i first arrived to getting my key out of a lock box.
- Melanie (6/5): - Sadly, we couldn't get TV reception. And interestingly, the little milk carton supplied had already been opened.
- Graham (10/5): - Great unit would stay again
- ric (8/5): - Walking distance to shops and Tavern. Quiet town and neighbors.
Only one channel on tv
Exhaust fan not working in bathroom
No milk for a cuppa
- Anna-Mair (8/5): - We have often stayed at these units. They are affordable, clean and close enough to the Pinnacles to be handy (nothing is that close).
- Wendy (6/5): - Lounge was very nice and kitchen ok. Holiday home was so hot and the one aircon in the living area did not cool bedrooms.
Also, on entering for the first time was confronted to see a big black cockroach on the bench.
Even though only there to sleep, I will for better accom.
- Richard (4/5): - Aircon worked well.
Element on stove didnt work, no dish detergent. old cooking utensils, need updating
- Tony (10/5): - Our family of four went to Jurien Bay for skydiving. We were lucky to get last minute accommodation at Cervantes Holiday Homes. We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious accommodation with everything at a walkable distance. The unit was clean and had the necessary things required for a comfortable stay. It was good value for money for the couple of days. Will certainly go back again in future. Definitely recommend for a family.

- Clare (10/5): - We had a very happy stay at the Cervantes Holiday Homes. The beds were confortable with lovely fresh linen. We were a short walk from the general store and a quick drive to the beach. We would recommended to anyone travelling to/through Cervantes.
- Anthony (8/5): - This property is situated in a good location and within a short drive to beaches, shops and cafes. Great for a quiet getaway, without the hustle and bustle.
- John (8/5): Value for money - Good value for money accommodation to enable easy access to the Pinnacles
- Thi Quynh Trang (8/5): - It was clean overall, but the floor wasn't very clean. The door couldnt lock or I didn't know how to lock the door. Great location.
- Melanie (10/5): - Great location. Close enough to amenities. Quiet and peaceful. Could benefit from having a few electrical powerboards to plug in the room fan.
- Jason (8/5): - It was a awesome property I will be happy to say again and bring some more people along because there was so much room
Would love a phone call in a few week to book a weekend in the next month or so
- Margaret (10/5): - Beautifully presented. Very clean and spacious. Really enjoyed our stay.
- Ailsa (8/5): - Great property will stay again
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The unit itself is fabulous, large, clean, very comfortable and well equipped.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It’s a good property. However, heating (inverter aircon) needs to be fixed. Rooms are quite cold in the winter time.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Had a spacious unit - quite old and basic but still very clean and in good condition. No hairdryer or soap/shampoo provided so make sure you bring everything. Great communication and helpful staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was a good size home, very clean, nicely decorated and very comfortable overall.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very roomy, clean and comfortable beds
- Verified traveler (8/5): - nice place to stay with plenty of room for (we had) 5 adults and 1 10 year old. had everything but needed to be updated. a couple of things 1 bed had no sheets on it. 1 bed had very bad stains on the sheets. 1 kitchen chair was broken but you could still use it. the big knife in the draw was broken. nothing to stop us having an enjoyable stay but just needs to be addressed.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The unit is quite new and pleasantly decorated. It is within walking distance to the Tavern and the beach. The kitchen/diner/lounge is roomy.
We were not advised that check-in was at the Tavern beforehand. The bathroom although fairly large had no towel rails at all, or any other hooks. Only half a toilet roll was provided and the toilet wasn’t particularly clean. A globe in the lounge needs replacing. Audio only on SBS on the TV. Some of the the units have no shade parking.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Love this place, very roomy and nice surroundings, very clean
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent stay, we had a great time at the accomodation
- Liz (10/5): - Really handy location - close to the Tav & an easy walk to the beach.
Slight change of plan - check in from the Tav not onsite, but that only added 2 minutes to the process!
- Tim (8/5): - Basic clean unit at a reasonable price. Make sure you get clear directions for its location.
- Amanda (4/5): - On entry there was a horrible smell of dead mouse. The tea towel and dish cloth were dirty with previous guests food. Only 2 little soaps provided at the sink for a family of 5 during a pandemic.. Maybe more soap should be provided so no Need to share.
No aircon or wifi or working fans.
The bed cover had worn straggly thread coming away that tangled my feet while sleeping.
Expensive stay considering we were only in the property for 12 hours to sleep and shower.
- Dan (8/5): Cervantes Holiday Homes - Really clean and plenty of space. Close to all amenities. Would stay again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Property was clean. A bit runned down. Oven didn't work. Bathroom tap was leaking. Kids beds were small. If the place was updated then we would've stayed longer. Overall, it was ok for 2 days. Spoke with the owner she was friendly and nice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - What we wanted, convenient and close for watching sunset over the Pinnacles.
- Adeline (6/5): - Unit was lovely to look at but the bed was too hard to sleep on and the sofa was so uncomfortable to sit on. The dining chairs became to hard to sit on so eventually I used the ottoman from the bedroom to sit on. We did not stay for the 3 nights as we couldn’t sleep on that bed another night. Also the lobster shack was not operating so that was a disappointment
- Graham (8/5): - Upgraded from a 2bdrm to a 3bdrm unit
No directions file in unit we had a problem with tv but finally worked out it was a reception problem as the antenna was an “ears antenna” not connected to an external antenna
What about supplying shampoo and a hair dryer
This site was the only one that did not amongst 4 other sites we stayed at over the last week
- Penny (8/5): - Well appointed and well maintained property though we had some difficulty finding it. Would use them again though.
- Leah (8/5): - Spacious, clean, comfortable stay. Great customer service.
- Lesley (6/5): - It was very basic but clean. Need to check crockery/ cutlery to make sure their is correct amount.
- Val (6/5): - Basic but ok. Difficulty checking in - wrong time to go to Cervantes as nothing is open. Left some gear there, messaged owner/manager but no response. We appeared to be the only people there - never saw anyone as key was left in the door.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean. Good location. Plenty of parking room for the boat
- Tezza (10/5): - So close to town,quiet location,open kitchen area,freindly staff
- Richard (10/5): Great quick family stay - Great stay, especially for our larger family. The managers communicated very well, phoning to confirm access and keys and text replied instantly. They even gave us a larger unit seeing we had 6 people and everything was seemless. Certainly recommend for a family stop when traveling from Perth
- Sharon (10/5): - We came to relax and that we did... Only down fall is not being able to eat at Cervantes Restaurant due to Covid19 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
- Charlotte (8/5): - No WiFi in the room. It’s only provided in the bar/Tavern (Reception). Only 1 set of garbage bag/ tissue rolls was provided no matter you stay for 1 night or 7 nights.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great stopover
- rona672 (8/5): Confusing & Magical Cervantes Holiday Homes - The arrangement to collect the key had changed and we were not told till we went to the former reception. This was a bit strange as I had emailed them only 2 days before. Then the receptionist wanted us to write our bank card number on her form and there was another guest right next to me. Usually our bank card is swiped by the hotels.
The rooms are old and we never did work out how to use the oven which is enormous.... However there was a hob, and a well stocked kitchen and a dining room table. Everything worked and it was just a shame there were no air conditioners in the bedrooms as the lounge air con doesn't quite cool the bedrooms however, we survived. Cervantes is very small with a grocers and a restaurant. The beach is beautiful and after a swim we went to see the Pinnacles and watched the sun set... totally magical. We had a lovely time.

- DaleB (8/5): - No aircon in bedrooms. Hotplates on cooker did not work properly. Otherwise, clean and comfortable.
- DaleBbB (6/5): No aircon in bedrooms - We've stayed here a couple of times in the past but both times were in winter. This time, at the end of summer, the weather was a lot warmer and we discovered that there was no air conditioning in the bedrooms, it was just in the main living area. We had to crank the aircon up high to blow down the corridor into the bedroom. Only 2 out of 4 hotplates worked on the cooker. There was no net curtain on the big window in the main living area so we had to keep the curtains drawn for privacy. These holiday homes are showing their age. Still, it was better that sleeping in a tent and we could watch TV when it was raining.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Cervantes holiday home - Very good and comfortable
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Was very clean, comfortable, only thing had no bin to empty the rubbish into.
- Tony (8/5): - One night stopover for us and served the purpose well. Nice to be in a house instead of a hotel room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The place is Clean, comfortable and large. The check- in was fine but a little confusing finding the place to do it! After we figured that out all was very Good.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Pretty basic accommodation but spacious and had everything We needed to cook dinner And relax.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Close to Cervantes Country Club and the beach. Only one air con for the entire unit. Wifi would be a bonus as 4G coverage in Cervantes is rather sketchy sometimes
- Kevin (10/5): - Electrical power outage for 7 hours on my 2nd day there was unfortuate.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very spacious, easy to find and very quiet. Great for the family
- Verified traveler (6/5): - A little dated, needs a refresh. But good value for money, it would be good for a family
- Wong (8/5): - The house is cozy, have full kitchenware and spacious living room and bathroom, which let us feel like home. There is no hairdryer and the hot water need to wait for 5-10 minutes after each shower. The reception is actually located in one of the restaurant (Cervantes bar and bistro) You need to register at reception then only can go to your unit, which is abit confusing.
- KK (10/5): - Suitable for traveler with 6 pax, spacious rooms and quite environment, close to beach and Lobster Shack.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was fine for our one night stay. The bathroom is looking a bit sad but otherwise everything was fine.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The Home was very clean and comfortable and would be great for families or larger groups. The only issues we had were slow dripping taps in the kitchen sink and shower and the kettle didn't work. There was recycling, but no compost. The check-in location was not at the property, which we didn't know until we arrived and saw the sign indicating where to go to check in. It would have been nice to know this ahead of time.
- MountainsHelen (8/5): Great stopover, very comfortable - Checkin was a little tricky as we didn’t know to go to the local hotel for checkin until we arrived. We were however upgraded to a huge apartment. It was three bedrooms and large kitchen/lounge/dining. We walked to the local hotel for dinner and used kitchen for our own brekky. Highly recommend.
- Lori (8/5): - Like: Very spacious and large enough to accommodate a family with 5 beds. Extremely quiet area. Bed was comfortable. Very clean for an older property.
Disliked: Signage wasn't that great for someone who didn't know the area. No welcome information was given - such as where the property actually was located or where we had to leave the key when we check out. Would be nice to have an information book for this info as well as dining options in the area etc.
Overall, we had a really pleasant stay! Thank you!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean & quite property with well equipped kitchen
Good parking Close to Tavern
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Badly leaking kitchen tap
some lights didn't work
could not get thentelevision to work
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Check out letterbox could not be found, instruction could have been clearer
- Verified traveler (8/5): - for once good reading lights next to the beds. Spacious and very clean
- John (8/5): Value for money - Staff were very nice. The place is old but good enough for the price and the amenities in the accomodation. The place is roomy. For a cheaper price, it can accomodate the whole family.
You can cook and have the untensils and cockery needed. You just need to leave the place clean after you use it. The only downside i can say is the security pary.
Though it is a quite and laid back town, it would be nice to have working security doors and sturdy door locks for peace of mind. Other than that, it is a good option for the budget conscious traveller and would recommend it for families.
- cheryl (8/5): Nice family friendly place - Nothing much to do in the area. However, the place was huge with 3 bedrooms and a proper kitchen. Great for families.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This unit is hug, can accommodate minimum 6 people, is a good choice for traveler with family. Property is well maintain, clean (inside and surrounding area) and if you wish to self prepare own food, the cooking utensils are fully equip (worried free).
There is a seafood restaurant near by but it close around 8:30pm.
- JD_JT12 (8/5): Peaceful Stay in a Self-contained Unit - We booked a standard one bedroom unit but at check-in, we were given a two bedroom unit without additional charges. That’s was a plus because we used the pillows from the additional bedroom as the ones in the queen sized bedroom were rather soft and flat.
The check- in was done at the nearby Tavern, friendly staff and there’s a key drop in the laundry room nearby the units for check out. The unit is clean and very spacious but rather dated, although everything was functioning well. Got some supplies from the nearby General Store to prepare dinner and the next day’s breakfast.
The downside: No WiFi services and bathroom supplies. Only two bar soaps provided in the bathroom. Also, no ceiling/wall fans or air conditioning in the bedrooms. There was only one air conditioning unit in the dining/living room area, and it couldn’t heat up the entire unit. So, the bedrooms were pretty chilly at night. Also, the bedroom lacked power point plugs. We found two behind the bed, which were already used for the side table lamps. On the plus side, we found an extension plug in the other bedroom and we used that.
Spent a bit of time star-gazing outside the unit and was truly amazed at the beautiful starlit sky. Overall, our one stay was a quiet and peaceful one.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very clean property with good kitchen and lounge area. Comfortable beds.
- LINDA (10/5): Great Value - Excellent value accommodation for a stay in Cervantes to check out the Pinnacles. The place had everything you need. We were a couple but this place would also be good for families or groups.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room was small with no WIFI available in the room. It is not worth $108 as compared to accommodations in WA.
- LandWalker (8/5): - Great location and large area for a group or family. Recommended!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - neat, tidy, clean, spacious, comfortable bed, value for money
- Walter (10/5): Pinnacles, Lobster, Coast walks - Great location to see Pinnacles, have lobster and enjoy coastal walks. Spacious home, very clean.
- Clare (8/5): - A property with all the main things you need for a stay. The owners were very happy to help with a lightbulb that blew. Close to all amenities, a great property for a short get away.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Rooms were clean and fresh ,staff were friendly . Location was quiet . Local tavern was expensive
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very roomy and clean and great location Manager very pleasant
- happyitchyfeet (6/5): Large clean house - The house we rented was clean and comfortable with 3 bedrooms (one double bed and 4 singles) and a large living space. Good heating (reverse cycle air conditioning). The only minor complaint is that the kitchen tap needs a new washer and you have to clean out the rubbish yourself.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - good but needs proper service and maintenance- tap in kitchen leaked, TV and aircon switch on and off not working properly
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Big roomy house. Comfortable. Taps drip unless turn very tight.
- Isabelle (6/5): - Conveniently located near Pinnacles, the apartment is surrounded by restaurants and a small grocer. It is very spacious, and great value for a 3-Bedroom. However, we wish that the aircon remote control were checked (not working) so that we can warmed up in the winter night. There were no heating coils in the bedrooms. The kitchen seriously need a revamp. The stove is antique - it took a very long time for a small pot of water to be heated up. The dish sponge was a used sponge, the only apartment out of the 4 apartments we stayed for this trip that did not change. We had to change our dinner cooking plan because there was no microwave safe bowl. There was no can opener, wine opener etc etc. I think it is important that the owner try cooking a dinner in the apartment to understand the challenge the guests are facing. If you are not cooking, then this apartment should be no issue for you.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Property needs refurbishment. Carpets are old and worn. Curtains are old ripped and falling apart.
Bed is comfortable.
Lounge / sofa is old and worn.
Felt I paid a premium price for one night in mediocre accommodation.
