- James (10/5): Tried all the motels in Holbrook; this is the best value by far - Far enough away from the Hume freeway to notice minimal noise from trucks; excellent modern facilities, with a very high state of cleanliness. Fridge was a good size, and NOT filled with food/drinks that other motels do to try to increase their revenue (we hate that) . Space for outdoor meeting, and for parents watching over kids in the pool (too cold, we didn't go in). Simple arrangements for travellers arriving late outside of office hours. Plates, cutlery and teatowel supplied (but we had brought our own to avoid costly breakfasts). we've tried all the motels in Holbrook, and this is by far the best fitted out, and best value; we'll be back! Lack of a sink or mini-kitchen, so that we can wash up their dishes after making our own breakfast;

Always spotlessly clean, full awning to protect your vehicle and nice wide parking spaces. Only a short drive to the Holbrook Hotel that is fully restored and looks exceptional. Little things like butter, milk, biscuits, coffee, tea, chocolate, also salt and pepper. These were great because I had bought my own meal. Hotel across the way for meals if required. Bathroom was clean, plus water pressure was good.

Small things like the nice towels, clean room, bucket to wash the bugs off my car after a long drive and charging infrastructure were all very welcome. - Jess (5/5): Disappointing, but could have been great - Comfy bed, new interiors, nice shower, great location (can walk to the local pub for nice which is excellent), good parking and well stocked tea and coffee, easy check in. If you can sleep in relative brightness, or an eye mask, go for it! There is one decision made when updating this hotel that means I had a terrible night sleep - though they’ve clearly spent a good deal on lovely floor to ceiling blockout curtains for most of the room, they have left a frosted glass door uncovered, making the blockout curtains useless. This means the bright lights from the driveway shine in all night, and flare with light whenever a new car arrives. Combined with the sound from the gravel driveway it was quite disruptive when cars came and went. I tried to cover it with a blanket but it didn’t really work. The room stayed quite light at night and the new arrivals would wake me up. Can’t recommend staying here as a result until this is fixed with a blind or new doors, especially if travelling with young kids. This is unfortunate because otherwise it’s much nicer and newer than comparable motels! But sleep is the bare minimum and I got very little. If they fixed the door issue I would stay here again as it’s otherwise the perfect stop between Sydney and Melbourne. I don’t like leaving reviews like this but I can see reading them now that others have had the same issue and I wish I’d listened (or the hotel had!)

- Shay (9/5): Cute & quaint accommodation - Always clean & welcoming, no matter the time of year we stay here it's always incredibly warm inside (in winter) or cool (in summer). Staff are friendly and the after hours check in is easy. Beds & pillows are comfortable. Always a good selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Often at dusk and night time there's Kangaroos feeding on the front adjacent lawn so that's always lovely to see, just don't get too close or you'll spook them. The crunchy gravel driveway means when someone drives in or out you get woken by it.
