Howeve - The grounds are beautiful and the staff friendly, helpful and lovely. The restaurant was good, great choices and well cooked/presented. You cauldron also get good coffee and great snacks from the cafe. The chalet was very old and basic, although I believe they are being renovated. It definitely could have been cleaner. The Wi-Fi was poor and patchy and television programmes very limited.

- Andrew (7/5): Lovely, but didn't quite match the picture on the cover. - Beautiful location, lovely, spacious room We booked this property for the convenience of dinner at the tavern, however it was shut for the duration of our stay. Very disappointing, and strange in the peak summer holiday period. The room was right next to noisy cool room exhaust fans, which disrupted sleep. Needs another towel rack.

- Leon (9/5): Basecamp for a weekend in the Stirling and Porongurup Ranges; comfy bed, cold beer amazing food! - Quaint place with a friendly vibe. Perfect base for my weekend of hiking (Stirling and Porongurup ranges) Loved the relaxed tavern & time spent on the balcony watching the world go by. Last but not least love the highland cows, goats and lamas, all just added to the character of the place. Spa bath was amazing after a day of hiking - but feel the bath needs a shower curtain.

The shower backed up in one of the bathrooms, the sink was tiny to clean dishes in. The food at the restaurant was below average, hard to believe it was cooked by a chef.

Owner was very helpful at check-in. Very cold, cobwebs, plant debris & dust in suite. Meal menu much shorter and more limited than shown on website. Meal not great. Staff really struggled to deal with the Sunday crowd.

Spacious houses with 2 bedrooms and a terrace. Great opportunities for light hiking trips and making winery visits afterwards Got our keys a bit later than quoted , however got two complimentary drinks at a bar. It was a bit dirty, however not critical

- Vicki (7/5): We enjoyed our stay but the accommodation really needs to be updated for the cost. - The location and people were great. The grounds were beautiful. The summer house and set up was really nice. You could see the renovations going on in the main buildings and what it will look like when completed. Showers were hot. I am sure once the renovations are completed it will be beautiful. The accommodation for the cost was not very good. The heater did not work, and it was very cold. some power points did not work and were coming out of the wall. There was no table and chairs in the room to put anything on. The small couch things were not very useable. The bathroom had no hooks or bench to put anything on. the back decking was very soft and loose in some parts. The rug on the floor in the main area smelt quite bad.

- Treva (8/5): - We knew the property was undergoing renovation, so were aware of that. Sadly they had had lots of rain the day before we arrived, so were in damage control. we look forward to our next visit when the rennos are complete and the wifi works.
- Toni (9/5): Superb - The two bedroom cabin is very cool, has everything you need, loved the loft room and stairs. The views are so pretty. Staff were very friendly and accommodating with our large family gathering and birthday celebrations. We can't wait to come back when all the big plans and changes have finished, it sounds like it will be extra amazing there. There was no table inside to eat at and we couldn't eat outside cause it was cold, raining and windy. There is no air con (we had one very hot day) and it is definitely needed, especially in the loft room. The kitchenette has pretty much everything you need (no oven) but there is no bench space to prep anything. The shower head kept falling down and there was no shower curtain so water ended up everywhere. Renovations were happening to the restaurant while we were there so there was limited space to eat meals there, the food was good but very expensive.

Pleasant staff especially in the bar/ restaurant area. Very comfortable bed. Nothing I can identify. There is some renovation work going on which created a bit of noise however nothing to spoil the stay.

- Peter (8/5): Comfortable Hideaway - We had a slightly difficult experience on arrival (New Years Day at 6pm) with the staff recovering from they previous nights festivities and all the phones went unanswered despite having called earlier to confirm possible late arrival. Fortunately this was resolved as we were abandoning the property when a resident or staff member called out and then confirmed we were in fact expected and found our key. On checking in we found a well set out cabin with good facilities albeit with no air conditioning. As we were new to the area and had just arrived from Victoria we then found there were no local place open for meals and being a public holiday the nearest place likely to have any facilities open was Albany about an hours drive away. Overall I would have been pleased to get a little more basic information in advance although overall we were reasonably content. We later also found that when the second cabin in our block was occupied the last night that the slightest sound on either cabin was shared with its neighbour. This resulted in a mid evening request from our neighbour to turn off our TV, lights and stop talking as we were keeping two restless children awake. The online marketing information is a bit overstated and missing what might be seen as useful information. That said with the exception of sound proofing the location and facilities were perfectly suitable for a couple on a self drive holiday. The cabin cooled quickly, and had everything we needed.

- Nicola (10/5): Gorgeous landscape and scenery at Karribank - Excellent location in Porongurup. Perfect for hiking and admiring the beautiful scenery. The property is stunning and although the accommodation is a little tired, it doesn’t deter from the experience.

- Rayhann (9/5): Quaint and peaceful. - Karribank's location to the Porongurup park makes it a good place to visit and do the various walks. the room provided was clean, spacious and had all the amenities required. The room was dated unfortunately. The furnishings were a bit odd. There were 2 recliners but no table or similar. The shower stall was clean but had no shower curtains. Too be fair the new owners just took over running the place 8 weeks ago and are in the process of revamping. I'm inclined to give it a go the next time around in the hope that they'll reinvigorate the property to a better standard.

The staff on arrival were friendly and the lady who checked us in was very helpful in pointing out the local spots of interest. - Joceline (8/5): Gorgeous location and welcoming atmosphere - The property has recently been taken over and the new owners are intent on upgrading the facilities. They were extremely welcoming and generous in making us feel included during our stay. The pizza was delicious and we loved the art group run weekly across the road at the cafe. We wish them well in their new venture. Everything is a little tired and the kitchenette is very basic. The property is pretty noisy lacking insulation. However the new owners are very aware of the issues and seem keen to address everything as soon as possible.

- Eric (9/5): Great location for exploring the Porongurups - Great location, nice and quiet. Beds nice and comfy, facilities a bit dated, but clean. Chalet was missing a coffee table, and with virtually no bench space, made it a bit of a challenge to prepare a meal in the kitchenette.

It is nicely situated to hiking trails and a reasonable distance from Bluff Knoll. The staff were also super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable of the surrounding area. Some of the taps need a bit of attention as they tend to leak a bit. Bring your own BBQ cleaning supplies and tools if you intend on using the BBQ.

The chalet was basic, but met our needs for being close to the Stirling Ranges. Beds were very uncomfortable, the kitchen wasn't very clean. The shelves were dusty and some of the dishes/cutlery weren't very clean. Otherwise we were happy with the stay. It served a purpose.

Also, thankfully, I had packed my own frying pan because, even though there is an electric cook top, there was no pan. The shower could use a shower curtain.

- William (9/5): Superb - Amazing location as a base for hiking. Comfy beds. On-site restaurant and bar. Plenty of parking. No Wifi. Basic cooking facilities.

- Denise (5/5): Passable - The location is amazing quaint cottage with beautiful garden and views. Would be lovely in winter in front of the fire 🔥 in the pub. Meals are limited in the area. The pub and tearooms provide food. Would like to visit the Thai cafe only open at weekends. Our cottage while quaint was comfortable but could do with a feather duster, however we will return ☺️
- Amanda (5/5): Passable - Scenery Easy check in an out Dirty dishes, last occupant's food left in fridge, no shower curtains in bathroom ( water all over floor and appliances not working ( electric blankets didn't work) . Bar and food services were not available and that wasn't notified until there.

- Deb (10/5): A very comfortable and enjoyable stay in a beautiful area of soith west WA - Location, restaurant on site, comfortable beds There was nothing we didnt like.
- Elaine (6/5): - We enjoyed our stay at Karribank. This was despite having booked what we thought was a Cottage we found ourselves in Chalet type accommodation with a mezzanine. Beds were clean and comfortable but the general surrounds weren’t up to scratch. A bedside light would have been useful upstairs rather than having to stand on the bed to try and reach a short pull chord. The heater was at times difficult to light. The Restaurant/Bar (when Open) was adequate but the Bar staff pleasant. Food served in Takeaway containers. A pleasant enough stay in beautiful surrounds but not 4 Star.
- Michael (8/5): Was ok, but a price reduction would be appreciative as the main dining area was closed, no bar. - Not available. Coffee satchels were old. Fridge not turned on. No air conditioning. t 4 x dead rabbits around the unit. The walkway covered in fresh clippings just been mowed. Could have blower vacced. The other guests walking past our bedroom first thing in the morning looking in :(
