• Sandra (10/5): - I booked the smallest size accommodation as I was only staying for one night. It was adequately stocked with kitchen utensils, toiletries, and very clean. The price can be perceived too high, but in saying so, the location is amazing. It's within walking distance to food and drinks, and beautiful small creek and the overall scenery was amazing.

• Zahra (1/5): . Overall, the place was poorly cleaned, lacked basic amenities, and definitely wasn’t worth the money. - Location I was really disappointed with this stay. The carpet was extremely dirty — after just a few minutes of walking on it with white socks, they turned black, which shows it hasn’t been properly cleaned in a long time. The furniture also felt old and not well-maintained. The place also had an unpleasant smell when I arrived, and I had to leave the door open for hours to air it out. On top of that, the kitchen had almost no facilities or basic items. There was barely anything provided — not even enough tea bags, just one for the two of us. Overall, it wasn’t worth the money, and the listing didn’t meet the standard I expected . I hope the host improves the cleanliness, amenities, and general upkeep for future guests.

• Wendy (7/5): Safe, convenient and quiet. - The position, close to town, very quiet street, off street parking. Spacious and sunny. Mostly clean with lots of blankets. It would benefit with an upgrade of decor and lighting. The numbers of the units were hidden so hard to find the correct unit. Would be better if the numbers were on the door. The outside chair at door was dirty, as was the shower curtain. Lighting was dull.
• Paul (6/5): We enjoyed our stay in Elm Lodge. it was simple and clean and the location was great. - the quilt was uncomfortable. It ws very heavy and kept sliding off due to the slippery material as the quilt cover.

Single bed I chose tipped me out. Think the other one would have done the same. Had to turn shower taps off hard to prevent dripping. Didn't realise that the shower would be in a large spa bath. Difficult for older folk to get in and out of safely. Probably a grab bar nearby would help.

• James (9/5): Fantastic we all loved it will be back. - Great value for the money. Back yard BBQ and table setting was fantastic. Great size BBQ able to cook it all in one go. Just one thing a lock on toilet door.
• Peter (6/5): Thankfully short. - Proximity to town Over priced for what it offers. We were expected to take out the rubbish and the heating was not working when we arrived. All contact was via phone with no staff on site.
• Tracy (6/5): Tired place. Good location - It was in a good location . Electric blanket most welcomed. Was clean. Comfortable couches. The place had a smell like strong food and old stale air. It didn't leave the whole time we stayed. It was also very cold inside, more than outside, which meant you had to leave heating on. The windows would not stay open so very hard to air out the place and get any warmth in.

• Laura (6/5): It was location we were after - and that, it did provide! - The location was the selling point for us as well as the bedding configuration for what we needed. I liked how when I contacted staff to supply the missing bath mats/hand towels - they did. There was enough crockery and cookware for us all. It was well heated and cosy - and it did provide all the basics, thx Little things like the shower curtain - creepy. Rusty water from bath tap - shower taps were ok. Musty smell on arrival - needed to air out. To be honest - I dont think the photos really indicated at how old the lodge was.

After the long haul from Canberra there was no milk provided to make a cup of tea and l had to leave right away to get some, luckily there is a supermarket within walking distance. The fan in the reverse cycle was noisy, as was the fan in the bathroom which was extremely noisy.

• Jane (4/5): Location was fantastic, love Bright but we would not stay or recommend Elm Lodge - Location was fantastic and the accommodation and surrounding area was lovely and rustic with a small creek just 20m away. Front of our unit was covered in cobwebs, front door security lock was so filthy that you could almost guess the unlock code from the dirty finger marks, main bedroom had really badly torn curtains, bathroom door handle was falling off, microwave oven had burn marks on the inside and to top it off there was tea & sugar sachets but no coffee sachets, along with only 1 long life milk 😫

• Melissa (4/5): Needs repairs - The bathroom sink was blocked and took ages to drain. The rustic kitchen really needs updating. The equipment left in the kitchen is of very poor standard. For the price charged I would assume that a bowl that fits more than one wheatbix would be supplied. The headboard above the master bed is placed in position that you constantly hit your head. The second bedroom window was kept open with a piece of wood. Upon removing it to close the window it became suddenly apparent that the window sash was broken as the window then slammed suddenly shut on my fingers. Luckily they were not broken, just very bruised and swollen for several days. This window fault could amputate a childs fingers and need urgent repair.
