- Adri (7/5): Very enjoyable. - Nice rooms, but a lot of construction around. Pool was nice and clean, and staff is helpful albeit difficult to locate at times. Allowed us to shower after snorkeling even though we were checked out, thank you. It is a bit of a walk, and there was a lot of construction, but it was quiet at night.
- Naoise (10/5): Perfect I ended up booking another 3 days - The staff, the room, the pool everything was lovely to stay in
- hsiao chu (8/5): 空間大,洗澡水比較小 - 空間寬敞
員工服務好
可幫忙運送行李到碼頭 離碼頭比較遠
如果隔壁比較吵可能需要耳塞
浴室水比較小

- Imogen (9/5): Superb -
- Madalin (8/5): Very good - We stayed in the cottage which was a lovely big room and big bathroom. Great pool and umbrellas for shade by the sun loungers. Staff were very friendly The door didn’t quite shut properly which meant we had lots of bugs in our room.
- Roy (10/5): Exceptional - The manager and the staffs of the resort was very good and helpful, they provided us with an extra room after the check out as the we went for squba in the morning.
I would really recommend everyone to stay in this place as it is beautiful, value for money and very well behaved staff.
- Shreyas (7/5): Flush does not work properly, else amazing property - Location was good, rooms were a little different from what was shown to us, but they were good Flush was not working most of the time
- Mollie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lauren (3/5): Poor -
- Ciara (9/5): Superb - The staff were amazing, so so helpful! It was great to have a pool and it was a short walk from the main town. The bed was very creaky and there was a gap in the door that allowed some reptiles and bugs into our room. The water from the sink and toilet was also quite dirty and smelled but this seems to be a common issue in Phi Phi.
- Lucy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Annika (10/5): Clean, nice stuff & great accommodation - The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! The room was super clean and the beds super comfortable! Directly in front of our door was a pool where are you could jump in directly after waking up! So all in all: super accommodation!
& a great surprise , they bring the luggage for you to the ferry! Nothing - all perfect
- Nino3d (8/5): Very good - Nice resort
Just away from the crowdy streets but really close to all shops in Tonsai
- Cian (5/5): A nice hostel / hotel but ultimately disappointed due to the location - The bungalow was nice, staff were nice When you search up the name of the property on google maps , the location is incorrect , the actual property is 12 minutes walk east away from the centre… and we would not have booked the property if the location was as it said
- Georgia (7/5): Good -
- Sinead (3/5): Wouldn’t return - Away from the party area but close enough to walk to the centre and beach. Clean @ good A/C.
We were offered complimentary breakfast. This is a very mixed review as upon arrival it was great.
The room was very clean and looked as described however…
To lock the bungalow when leaving it was a padlock and key and a kind of bolt you would see on a toilet when your on the inside. The wood had swollen too and bottom which meant there was a gap in the door to let bugs in.
Curtains were dirty and didn’t really help keep bugs out.
The ceiling looks like it’s leaking and we slept under the covers because it’s like a thatch/woven/wooden roof that had bits growing and they dropped on us in the middle of the night. It was water tight but gaps everywhere meant we had Harry the Gecko join us both nights.
Ants in the bathroom (super high up) going through a vent and into the pipe. We didn’t mention anything about them as they did not come into the room at all and we worried that if they were messed with they would come in.
The shower is not strong and not sure how it would have worked by myself as it is a two person job as it is low water pressure.
The location is incorrect on Google as it states it’s 4 minutes from the pier it’s a 15 minute walk and you will find it near up the his from Valentine’s bungalows.
Didn’t complain after seeing reviews of angry staff and in all honesty it wasn’t our experience but one lady on arrival did seem awfully tense just not at us. My partner said when discussing how we would pay she slipped her foot out of her shoe and placed it back on once the payment was made.
There was a tropical storm both nights and you could hear everything it shook the bungalow and did not feel safe at all the same goes for people around you can hear everything everywhere.
*Note: payment was not taken from our account and on arrival they charge 3% to pay by card and you will only get the online price if paying in cash.

- Galo (8/5): Our stay was overall quite good. The staff were amazing and kind, always helpful, and the pick-up and drop-off of our lu - Nice location, very friendly staff. Very loud machinery noise from the construction happening next door
- Asia (7/5): Good -
- Patrycja (10/5): Absolutely amazing - Very nice , close to the beach and have free breakfast- just perfect - I recommend ❤️
- Sophie (1/5): DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY CATFISH HOTEL SCAM - This place is a complete scam. I booked a “Deluxe Bungalow” with a beautiful wooden cabin and pool as seen in last two pictures , but when I arrived, they told me my room was never confirmed—despite the fact that I had called two days beforehand and was told by who I’m sure was the receptionist that everything was confirmed. Instead, they sent me half way down the road and checked us into some rundown shack called “Valentine Bungalow” claiming it was an “upgrade.” Let me be clear: it was absolutely NOT an upgrade. It was a completely different hotel!! It was filthy, nothing like the photos, and felt more like a cheap hostel than a deluxe stay.
To make matters worse, the receptionist was unbelievably rude. She rolled her eyes at me when we said we didn’t want to stay in that dump and completely ignored me when I tried to give her the key back. No genuine apology, no explanation—just pure attitude. It was clear they do this to people all the time. I should have listened to the reviews. She offered no solution other than “go and look at other hotels then” when I expressed that it wasn’t what I had booked.
If you’re expecting the beautiful room in the pictures, don’t waste your time or money. They’ll lie to you, scam you, and then treat you like an inconvenience. Avoid this place at all costs!
FIRST TWO PICS ARE THE DUMP THEY TRIED TO PUT US IN AND SECOND TWO PICS ARE WHAT I BOOKED
- Volk (1/5): Bad -
- Helga (3/5): Disappointing accommodation despite good location - -There was a free small breakfast but the croissants were full of ants so we felt disgusted and uncomfortable.
-Good starting point to the two beaches and the center
-Transfer to the port
-Pool to cool off was pleasant -Old structure
-lack of cleanliness
-Very unpleasant odor in the bathroom
-Many large cockroaches in the bathroom
-Room door does not close completely, gets stuck very often
-Torn bed sheets
-Tattered mattresses
-Unstable base, wobbly floor
-Rain through the ceiling, so that the third bed was wet
- Amy (9/5): Superb -
- Alfie (1/5): Wouldn’t have another one. - Not one thing. It was filthy and the aircon was terrible, the doors didn’t feel secure at all and the water was filthy. The toilet was made of literal sticks and bamboo and full of centipedes, mosquitos and lizards. The bed felt like a brick and made more noise than a rave. We had to check out the first day because it was that bad. The smell was terrible too the whole place was surrounded by sewer water and rubbish bins and rubbish on the floor. The staff wasn’t even bothered about us checking out early and we had to wait at reception for 15 minutes for someone to turn up. The WiFi also didn’t work one bit.
- Josefine (6/5): Pleasant - It was just a short walk from the busy street. Staff was very friendly. They carried our suitcases from the pier and the room was ready. The tap water was yellow, and the beds were not very comfy. Not enough sunbeds.
- Vasu (9/5): Superb - location is not far from center.

- Amalia (7/5): Good -
- Christine (7/5): Value for money. Big rooms with a/c. A short walk from the Main Street. - Slightly out of town, so quiet, which I liked. They met you from the ferry and helped with bags, which was great. Breakfast is also included. Ok
- Sarah (9/5): Superb -
- Siriluk (7/5): Good -
- Indrek (6/5): Pleasant -
- Vinod (7/5): Good -
- Munch (6/5): Too expensive for what you get. - Very nice pool with a nice view of the island. Great location- walking distance from everything The staff communication was lacking on arrival: difficulty to find our booking, making us wait for the room to be ready with an unclear time frame.
The room was ok but there was no remote to adjust the temperature of the AC and staff was unable to located one when asked. The pressure in the shower was not good and it was not convenient to remove sand of your body nor to wash your hair.
Finally the breakfast was very basic. In addition the window for breakfast was only 2 hours but food was not ready from the time given, which was again not convenient.

- H (5/5): Passable -
- Kurt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elle (9/5): Superb - Nice friendly hotel, staff were great, rooms were nice and spacious with lots of natural light! I think the sun beds should be moved to pool level and we accidentally kept splashing other guests down below oops
- Sahil (8/5): Very good -
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional - everything was perfect they had an indian group of 9 people that were sooooo loud and very disrespectful. They could have say something earlier or kicked them out earlier in my opinion. We were very annoyed from them
- Ramona (9/5): Excelent hotel - Our room was surprisingly big with an additional living room. They also gave us breakfast for free, which we didn't know was included. Location was great too, away from the buzzing centre but not far from the pier. Not all staff was friendly.
- Giada (9/5): Superb -
- Gabriela (4/5): Disappointing - the floor in the room was terrible like curling, the bathroom was claustrophobic and the shower was very bad and because of the curling floor the bed was very uncomfortable.
- Camper563439 (2/5): Bad Experience - We booked and prepaid for a hotel on Phi Phi Island, Thailand, but our experience was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival, the bathroom in our room was soaked with dirty water, and we soon discovered that all the water in the hotel was contaminated—coming out brown. We complained, and staff assured us it would be fixed the next day. However, it wasn’t, and we later noticed a notice dated November 7 on the wall saying the water issue would take 2-3 days to resolve, even though we stayed from November 13 to 14.
After reporting the water issue, the owner suddenly claimed there was a stain on the sheets and tried to charge us 500 Baht, which then changed to 1000 Baht, as if part of a scheme to deflect our complaint. We have since seen that other reviews from 2022 and 2023 mention the same water contamination issues, which appear to be an ongoing problem at this hotel.
This experience made our stay very uncomfortable and prevented us from even being able to shower. We strongly advise against booking this hotel.
- Fatima (8/5): Peaceful and comfortable stay !! Great value for money !! Definitely recommend - The property is in an ideal location, close to the beach and restaurants but also away so it’s quiet and peaceful .. the rooms are clean and comfortable!! And the staff is amazing Our bathroom didn’t have a designated shower, and so everytime we had a shower the entire bathroom would get wet !! But they are upgrading so I think the newer rooms are amazing
- Piuter (1/5): Bad -
- Paola (8/5): Beautiful jungle and sea view when waking up in the morning - Comfy bed, great balcony view to the sea and also in the nature. Was great to stay closer to where the locals live and more away from the party and busier side and only a few minutes away from restaurants, bars and shops etc. Second floor balcony room I highly recommend! Water in the shower could have been a little warmer especially on rainy days but all good apart from that!
- Akshat (10/5): This was my best stay in Thailand - Amazing property and super friendly staff Nothing bad
- Francisco (8/5): Nice and budget friendly accommodation! - The location is within walkable distance from the main attractions in the island. The staff was really friendly. Airco and fridge. I would stay again. We were supposed to be picked at the harbour but no one was there. We decided to walk and were difficult to find even using a map. I recommend letting them know in advanced your arrival time.
- Gabby (7/5): Good - The location was a short walk from the shops and restaurants, but far enough away from the music of the night clubs. The staff were very helpful, friendly and offered ferry drop off and pick up of bags Shower facilities weren’t the best as it was either cold or luke warm. Lots of mosquitoes were able to get into the room, so make sure you have bug spray!
- Megan (10/5): Great value for money with lovely staff - The staff were amazing and the room was lovely The aircon didn’t seem to get really cold
- Thomas (7/5): Good -
- Sachini (7/5): Good -
- Giovanna (6/5): Pleasant - It was in Phi Phi Island Lack of basic details in the bathroom such a courtain and hangers.
Ants were an issue - coming through the windows-.
- Giovanna (6/5): Pleasant -
- Chloe (8/5): Very good -
- Aatif (8/5): Very good -
- Holly (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were so sweet and helpful !!
The location is amazing.
Our room was great.
- Alicia (9/5): Superb -
- Natálie (4/5): Real disappointment - We liked that it was close enough to the centre and port. It was also quiet at night and beds were ok.
Reception looked cool. We bought Deluxe Bungalow but they put us in a regular bungalow which was worse than any bungalow in the photos. We sat on the bed in disbelief and were thinking about coming to them about what happened. But we read some reviews first and after reading them we felt so uncomfortable coming to them with a problem, because we were worried they would kick us out or shout at us, we decided to pull trough those 3 nights.
For the place itself:
The safe was just placed on the flood so anyone could have taken it.
Bathroom was outside with only natural roof over your head so we were constantly worried if any insects, snakes, frogs would fall on our head during shower. The bathroom was always damp and hot because since it was outside there was no AC.
The pool seemed really dirty so we only went in once because we were worried if they even used any chemicals to clean it and how many people were possibly peeing in it. The sunbeds were really old, dirty and the material was peeling.
You could not properly close the door to the bungalow, and there was only a small lock on it which you could easily break. And there were many holes under the door and around windows so any spiders, insects etc. could easily come in. So we slept lightly worrying about a spider on our face.
After reading some horrible reviews here and especially on Google we felt uncomfortable staying there and were scared to complain about not getting what we paid for. We felt a big relief after leaving the place. Would not recommend.
- Lauren (10/5): Exceptional - We loved our stay at Chunut House! The staff met us at the doc to help carry our bags to the hotel as well as meeting us to drop them off when we left the island.
The rooms had everything you need and very comfy beds. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The location was perfect and when sitting by the pool you looked out onto the jungle and you really felt at peace.
- Tarun (8/5): Great value - clean, quiet, and functional place with great pool and staff - Good and quite as it's located slightly away from the centre of Phi Phi but still a short 10 minute walk to the centre / beach.
Great pool and comfortable bed / room.
Great staff, helpful and welcoming. The bathroom is very basic - a shower curtain would really help preventing the entire toilet getting wet when you shower.
Still clean and rustic - what you'd expect from any property on Phi Phi.
Expect to climb a few stairs - wasn't a problem for us but might be for others
- Philip (9/5): Superb - Good for back packers, quite hard to pull suitcases from ferry to the hotel
- Silvia (8/5): Good staff in a goo place - Staff was very kind, they help me with my 2 backpacks (too heavy). The room was big, clean, with a good bed. The room was very close to the swimming pool, some guests were a little noisy at night.
- Nick (8/5): An oasis amongst the madness. - The location is an oasis amongst the hustle and bustle of Phi-phi. Minutes walk from the action with out the noise.
Nice little pool and our rooms were right outside. We should have been collected from the pier but the staff missed us and we were left to find the accommodation ourselves in 35c heat with 2 kids - fuming to be left to our own devices - but hard to be angry at the staff who were all very good.
- Dor (5/5): Passable -
- Zoe (10/5): Unique, Beautiful, Homey. - We stayed here for one night visiting the Phi Phi Islands and it was perfect! The grounds are beautiful and feel like paradise with flowers and palms everywhere. Our little guesthouse was really unique and rustic but very clean, good A/C, comfortably bed, and spacious bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful, awesome little pool, and cute cats! Little sitting area outside the guesthouse and cute details that made it feel homey. Would definitely recommend for a rustic and unique experience on the island! The only downside for me was the location since it was a bit off the beaten path and added some time walking to/from the property to the main strip. My husband liked the location since it was nice and quiet, so I wouldn’t say it was a big problem.
- Rita (6/5): Nice hotel and staff but the bathrooms are low quality - The hotel and the room is beautiful and the staff was very nice. The bathrooms are smelly and don’t look very clean. The bathroom gets flooded when taking a bath and the toilet got clogged. Also there was cockroaches in the room.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicolas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lynn (8/5): Very good -
- Keywan (2/5): Unpleasant staff - The picture of the room that I had booked and that hey did not give to me the day I arrived. Nothing else! The aggressive attitude of the receptionist.
The fact that they did not inform us to let us know that the room [as they said] had an issue with air-conditioning. [This was said to us at our arrival]. They sent us to another hotel called Chang Grand Hotel, in another location, and an ugly room, while we had booked for the following:
*Deluxe BungalowAir-conditioned room features a private balcony, a cable satellite TV and a refrigerator. Free toiletries are included in a private bathroom.*
The aggressive lady raised her voice after I told her why they did not tell me the day before, and they are asking me to leave if I am not happy with going to the room they were sending us to.
I could not go look for another hotel by myself because the prices had tripled since I had booked our room 4 months before..
She told us that there was a free breakfast in the morning. But we had not requested one. We found out that she wanted to make us keep quiet and not complain about our forced hotel and room change.
The room we had booked was supposed to be a very luxurious one. We think/suspect they gave it for a much higher price to another customer because the prices had gone up, like 3 times than what we had paid. Regardless of the reason, we were super unhappy that they did this to us and had not informed us in advance, and more importantly, they raised their voice and spoke to me very aggressively. Hence, I did not dare to speak about the dirty replacement room they had provided to us, I need to add that we only had that night in Koh Phi Phi...so it was important for us to have the room we had booked for, and the time we spend in peace in that island. For the receptionist, it was so easy to ask us to look for another hotel, carrying 2 heavy suitcases, on the island at 2 pm in the afternoon, on the only day we had in the island.
- Joana (10/5): very nice Accomodation - there was a very cute cat on the property
pool was very nice addition
rooms were very clean, comfortable and big nothing
- Moritz (9/5): Superb -
- Ellie (7/5): Good - Staff very nice room spacious and pool was nice touch Water in the sink and toilet was very yellow and dirty
- Adam (7/5): Good - Comfortable bed and close to centre The bathroom- shower wasn’t great and the water was a murky colour.
- Sahar (8/5): Very good - It was cosy comfortable and had clean swimming pool
Staff were very kindly The plumbing water was dark and unclean
- Andrea (9/5): Definitely stay again - Lovely friendly staff .. away from the noise Nothing
- Marc (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tiffany (8/5): lovely stay and lovely staff - The pool and surrounding greenery was lovely. The staff were very friendly, especially the young man that met us at the ferry drop off point and carried all our luggage. It was nice to have the complimentary drink on arrival. The bed was very large, our room had a small deck and a nice view. Toiletries and bottled water were available. On our last day the staff allowed us to store our luggage after checkout time for a few hours then their staff met us at the ferry when it was our time to leave. It was a bit of a steep climb up to our room but definitely manageable. I noticed a toenail that definitely wasn't mine or my partners on the bath matt when we arrived. Other than that, everything else looked cleaned.
- Aoibhe (6/5): Pleasant - The staff were really helpful and the location was good. The bathroom could have been better. The tap water was brown.
There was stains on the sheets.
- anjuma946 (2/5): Pathetic Property!!! Do not book this - Upon checkin, we were put in a different 2-star property , apparently owned by the same person. Theres no staff support there or intercom to the reception, so we had to walk 200m for any needs. After our first night, we were asked to shift rooms due to AC repair. Our new rooms were worse with broken shower, flush and wifi not working. Although we complained to staff multiple times, there was no support given. Upon checkout, the receptionist named Dee was very rude. She started yelling at us and banging the table. She had given us a lead on a day tour in phi phi island. There was miscommunication due to which we couldnt pay the entire amount. She said theyll collect the money at the boat, but they didnt collect the full amount, which we paid her when she told this, during checkout. She denied to give breakfast even though she said breakfast is covered for both days and denied staff service like luggage carrier. She didnt let us speak, swore at us in local language and threatened to call the cops if we dont leave their property.
- Jiří (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was great, helped us with our bags from the pier. The pool was really nice! Had 1 cockroach in our room. Not a big deal but it would be cool to seal the rooms a bit more.
- Nina (6/5): Good few days in Phi Phi, but much things could have been better. - Friendly staff. The location is great: just outside the noisy center but on short walking distance. We booked the deluxe bamboo room and honestly, our room didn’t look similar at all to the pictures that were shown on booking. Keep in mind that only two out of much more bamboo rooms are looking like the one on the pictures. We later got the feeling that our room wasn’t even being used at all (key needed to be fixed when we arrived, the safety box didn’t work so we got a new one (the staff just told us the code outside at the terrace out loud), bathroom was not clean so had to request cleaning). When we requested to renew our towels, we got ‘new’ ones with holes in them. It’s a shame because the location, facilities (i.e. pool) and view are great.
- Kenia (9/5): Superb - We had a great time at the hotel island is small, so location was good everything working promptly, and the service was so nice they even helped us with our bags. Would recomend
- Lakreichon (8/5): Very good -
- Artur (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anushmita (9/5): A good option for families in phi phi - The property and the staff are amazing. I was told by the staff that the AC of our designated room isn’t working so we were shifted to another property for a day. That room wasn’t good and the AC was barely functioning. The next day when we were shifted to our original room, I breathed a sigh of relief. This room was much better and the property had a good pool too. The room was aesthetically decorated and gave the rustic feeling of a chalet. The staff is very helpful and will always try to help you. We got free luggage pickup and drop from the ferry and the staff was helpful to add an hour for our checkout. I would stay here again and hopefully I get to stay in my originally booked room 😄 The room we got on our first day in the nearby hotel wasn’t nice at all. Had a malfunctioning AC and the beds weren’t nice either.

- Marc (8/5): Very good - The location was quite and the pool very relaxing, with not too many people. It was a bit far walking from the main walkibg streets.
- James (9/5): Excellent - very peaceful part of the island. Great pool to cool off in.
- Daniel (8/5): A good stay - Lovely staff, very welcoming.
Simple but good complimentary breakfast
Nice pool area.
Overall a good hotel with good location and access to beach and main strip Only 6 sun loungers by the pool :( Which of course were full so what are we supposed to do... relax on the floor? :(
Bathrooms not cleaned well at all.
