• Matthias (10/5): Phantastische Unterkunft! - ALLES! Modern, sauber, ruhig (es ist Nachsaison) und geschmackvoll eingerichtet mit viel Platz. Es fehlte an Nichts! Die Veranda ist gemütlich, der Blick aufs Meer ist toll (Sonnenaufgänge). Das Team - Betreiber + Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett. Unsere schönste Unterkunft (sind 2 Monate unterwegs)! Da gibt es NICHTS.

• Leo (9/5): A beautiful unit in a lovely town - The location was wonderful, and we could easily walk to everything. The room was great, with everything we needed, and with big windows overlooking the beach. There was also a glassed in sunroom/balcony to enjoy. The parking was much appreciated, as was the advice on local activities. Our room was on the first floor, up one flight of stairs. I tried the beach across the road, but the current was too strong for me - maybe go for the hot springs. Nothing we didn't like

• Madeleine (9/5): Schönes Apartement mit Meerblick und hilfsbereiter Inhaberin - DIe Lage zum Strand und die Grösse des Zimmers. Bei der Ankunft wurde uns von der Inhaberin viele Tipps gegeben. Das es keinen Balkon hatte der offen war, sondern dieser verglast war.

We spent 5 rainy and stormy days here and would definitely come again! The air conditioning is poorly located directly above the bed.

Great location, clean and rigjt across from the lake with full waterfront view. - The room was very clean and comfortable, with a great waterfront location and full lake views right from the room. It’s also close to restaurants and bars, all within easy walking distance. Chris was an amazing host—he even helped us with our laundry and let us use the washer and dryer for free, which we really appreciated.

• Jane (7/5): Great location, adequate facilities, not quite what we expected. - Spacious, great location, waterfront and close to shops/restaurants, with a very comfortable bed. For an apartment, despite the dishwasher, there was minimal/ basic kitchen utensils, no coffee machine/plunger. Toiletries supplied were barely adequate. The bathroom did not have an extractor fan and opening a window was not an option for privacy reasons, the shower leaked water out on the bathroom floor which was a slip hazard, the grab rail by the toilet had been installed incorrectly and was ineffective. Overall the apartment showed its age.

Most expensive accommodation we have stayed in over the last few months and was not value for money. Only 1 small towel each for the shower. Only 1 shampoo/conditioner/shower gel per couple. No fan in bathroom. Handle on bathroom door was for pull door, so kept forgetting it was a slide door. Lipstick left on mug in cupboard. Weird balcony room that had the airconditioning unit in it, and the joinery went straight across your vision so you couldn't actually see the view unless you slumped right down in the chairs, or stood up.

• Benny (10/5): Genieten en relaxen in een ruim appartement met een veranda voor alle weer met zicht op zee - Ruim en comfortabel appartement, met een praktische veranda die zicht geeft op zee. Ideaal bij alle weersomstandigheden, met veel licht in de kamer. De locatie is vlakbij het commerciële centrum van Whitianga. De eigenaars zijn bijzonder attent, kwamen ook regelmatig checken of alles goed was met ons toen we 48 uur in noodweer zaten. Ze waren ook zeer flexibel toen we ons verblijf een dag moesten verlengen vanwege geblokkeerde wegen door het noodweer. Geen tegenvallers eigenlijk.

The staff were very polite and friendly. Shared laundry facilities from 10am to 4pm only which made it inconvenient when the family wants to go swim at the beach later than 4pm. No air conditioning in the bedrooms.

• Strong (10/5): The best location in town. - Amazing location, stunning outlook and easy walking distance to the beach (across the road!) or the shops and restaurants. It was the perfect spot for this town and I was thrilled with my selection. Excellent shower pressure, effective heating and comfortable bedding. All wins. One evening I had guests upstairs with a child who seemed to like jumping up and down and it disturbed my peace. Unfortunately, it felt and sounded so intrusive. Luckily they must have checked out the next day. Phew. I was there midweek and a weekend in winter so it was very peaceful overall. Also not being from NZ I was very anxious when we received a tsunami warning and I had no idea on how to respond. Also the next day an exterior (town wide) alarm sounded for some time, and I had no idea what it was warning me to or how to respond. I would have appreciated some basic oh&s safety advice and response recommendations in the room. At a minimum in the compendium. It was a new and somewhat stressful experience for me and I would have appreciated the information on hand. Thank you.

Very handy that there was a mini-mart a couple of minutes away. Our apartment had an amazing view over the bay. The apartments were exceptionally well appointed and very comfortable. Very nice hot shower. Hosts were super friendly - they lent us some shovels to use at Hot Water beach, and were very helpful in assisting us with using the onsite laundry and clothesline. The only small negative is that there is no air conditioning in the bedrooms for the 2 bedroom apartment (although a fan was provided). We were there in the middle of summer (30 degrees) and it was fine without air conditioning in the bedrooms, but if you had exceptionally hot weather you might find it warm. The air conditioning in the living room worked very well. This is not an issue for the studios as they have air-conditioning throughout.

• Heather (10/5): Wonderful relaxing stay with incredible views. - The views were amazing, and we loved that it was just out of the town centre but still easily walkable to all locations. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was so spacious! Everything was clean & modern, and the shower had great water pressure. The AC worked great. Our hosts were gracious. We highly recommend! This is not an issue with the property but rather advice for future visitors: be strategic with when you pull the drapes. We left the drapes open our first day there (who wants to cover that amazing view?!) and came back at the end of the day to a very hot apartment. But the next day, we closed the drapes before we left, and the temp was just fine when we came home.

• Christian (7/5): - Die Wohnung ist zweckmäßig und fußläufig zum Zentrum. Restaurant und Supermarkt in der Nähe. Mobiliar etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber sauber. Ausblick auf Meer allerdings liegt zwischen dem Haus und dem Meer eine befahrene Straße. Im Schlafzimmer hört man davon nicht viel. Zimmer im ersten Stock ist besser da man über die Straße hinweg auf das Meer schaut.
