- marjos_13 (6/5): Ok transit hotel - After a night flight we had 7 hours waiting in Manokwari and decided to go to Aston, because its located very close to the airport. Outside the hotel looks great, but rooms are pretty worn out and definitely not 4 stars. + very friendly, helpful and efficient receptionist + clean sheets and towels, coffeemaker, fridge + breakfast: nor many western dishes, but plenty fruits, cakes, omelette - no sign for do not disturb, so just after we fell asleep, housekeeping belled us awake Alltogether, if you have to stay in Manokwari Aston is a good option.
- RobbNYC (6/5): Average at best - The hotel could be so much more, but is lacking in various areas. There is an odor in the hallways, curtains in the room are quite dusty, AC functions passably at best, and there are no international TV channels. Everything needs to be paid up front, and even if you sign for a meal, they come up to your room and ask you to pay then, and pay in cash. Food was fair at best. For the price, it seems it should offer more.
- MikeHSFO (8/5): Reasonable stop over hotel with good amenities and comfortable room - We stayed here for a day and 1/2 and found the hotel to be reasonably priced, having all the facilities we needed and very friendly staff. We were able to check in to our room incredibly early and a staff member even found two extra pillows for us ! Dining room staff were also friendly and the pool, although not too deep, has a beautiful view.
- Arcadiandreams (4/5): Average - Not worth the money. Marginally better than the Swiss bel - This hotel is a big sprawling conference centre style hotel, set up on a hill with nice views of the bay. Its is dated, and in need of modernisation. Its about 20% cheaper than the Swiss Bel in town and these are the two best options in Manokwari, but both are vastly overpriced at ÂŁ40-ÂŁ60 per night. The food in the restaurant was awful. Twice we attempted to eat,; lunch then dinner. Lunch - Nasi Goreng was served cold. To avoid this happening at dinner we specifically requested the food be served hot, but sadly it wasn't. I was served a cold soggy club sandwich, the ingredients of which were all recycled, presumably form the buffet breakfast ? The rooms are tired. Expect mould in the bathroom, and cracked tiles. Nature lovers be aware that the hotel keeps rare parrots in cages in the garden... The staff however are lovely and the one highlight of staying here.
- pramonoheru (8/5): Great View - I stay here to during business trip, as long as stay here enjoy the new experience. the weather is very good, as well as the scenery is very beautiful. overall i enjoy though there are some that need to be added and improved, such as the type of food that needs to be reproduced and the slow internet connection

- 562alfiana (4/5): Poor services and facilities - It's my forth visit to this hotel (unfortunately another hotel were fully booked). Nothing changed, TV and AC did not proper. There must be something missing on the room service facility, either towel, soap, shampoo etc).
- AdhimasWijaya (10/5): Recommended hotel - The staffs are helpful and friendly. The food is good. The pool has nice view. The room is clean. In short, everything is good. I have no complaints at all staying in this hotel. Maybe room for improvement is the airport pick up that using old car

- RonWamberal (8/5): Wonderful views - This is in the remote Birds Head Peninsular and the grandeur of the hotel on the highest hill in town speaks of past or future glory, not sure which. The foyer is quiet grand with a pool and intermittent WIFI. A welcome chance to catch up to news at home. The rooms are spacious and comfortable but the food leaves one wondering why itâs so hard to cook decent food. But then everything is literally flown in so thatâs the first challenge of many.
- 821ekap (6/5): Ocean view - My colleague and I spent 2 nights here. The swimming pool is excellent and lovely view, I always love ocean view. However, for the room itself needs a lot of improvement, broken tv remote control and cable channels only work for some time, wifi is poor. Breakfast menu is ok. They also offer drop off to airport
- baronessbrenda (10/5): It's Quite Wonderful for One Night - This hotel is around 3 kilometers from Manokwari Airport. I was happy and felt comfort while stayed in Aston Niu. But it is quite far away from town. The hospitality is really nice for they provide free-shutle if need back to the airport.
- Q4387VTsusanc (8/5): clean and comfortable with great view - The hotel is overpriced, as are many hotels in Papua, but is one of the best hotels in Manokwari. The pool is well maintained and the nicest in Manokwari. The pool is also family friendly, with a smaller, shallow pool for kids. The hotel grounds are well maintained with beautiful vegetation around the hotel. The location is a 15-20 minute drive from the city center which means guests must purchase all meals in the hotel restaurant which has okay food, (on the pricey side). Indonesian food tends to be better than western cuisine and be prepared for a long wait after ordering. Staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed in the penthouse suite room and the room was clean, freshly painted, and with tasteful and recently updated decor. Our room had a beautiful ocean view. Hotel cost included a buffet breakfast which had a variety of choices of mostly Indonesian fare, but also toast, cereal, omelettes, juice, coffee.
- JohnP592 (2/5): Terrible - Stayed here on many occasions unfortunately. The restaurant is one of the worst I have ever experienced. Do not attempt to have any western food there, as it will be badly made and taste totally out of date. Be wary of anything being fresh. The fruit and breakfast eggs are certainly not, with a strange aftertaste to them. The restaurant and kitchen itself is full of large flies, many of them dead on the floor and others flying around your food.it is supposed to be non smoking however many guests do not care and it seems the hotel staff are actually afraid of telling them to stop, so it just happens. The room is very dated and many cockroaches can be seen wandering about the bathroom. Even the shower gel that is offered smells past it's sell by date. The most annoying thing is trying to sleep with the electricity being constantly cut off. This means your air con will also turn off and won't be turned back on again until you wake up in an horrendous sweat! Lastly, the wifi connection is non existent and not to be relied upon. What can you expect from Manokwari, well just don't bother with this place.
- PipithL (6/5): The best yet below standard - When we arrived at the hotel it was in 11AM, surprisingly it was very hot in the lobby, quicly noticed this hotel is under staff since you have to serve yourself with welcome drinks....the aircon was off even on the restaurant, by far this hotel was below Aston standard, but hey you couldnt complaint this is probably the best hotel in the whole province, the room was dirty, bed needs immediate replacement since you can easily feels how loose the springs are, breakfast was tasteless, but you have wide selection of foods, if i have to return there again i wont complaint much...just fix the Aircon and replace the bed.
- lisamodouw (4/5): Dissapointing! - Stayed here for a night since I couldnt find any good hotels in this city. I saw some photos from this hotel from some source and thought will enjoy my stay there. I got a room with connecting door. The room was so miserable if you compare with other Aston Hotels. The bathroom very dirty and I felt that they did not clean the bathroom or Nobody stays here before for a long time. The room is big but looks so old with old-model TV too. The service was good but the problems was with the other guest. The problem came at night when the guest next door played music so hard from their mobile phone and yelled at me when I asked them to turn the volume down. Decided to report this to management and they warned the guest but it last for several minutes only. So annoying.
- Riazdanish (4/5): too far away from a town with only ojaks - not a good hotel due to location, too far from everything in a town with taxis. unless u want stay near the airport only ojacks (taxi motorcycles). As soon we arrived we quickly realized that we would be stuck in ths hotel because it is far away from everything except the airport. The hotel staff helped us get a place in town, but the took our first night payment.
- chastryadendang (6/5): 4 star hotel - There are not many 4-star hotels in Manokwari. But this is the newest constructed hotel in town. About 30 minutes ride from Rendani Airport. The service needs improvement but overall this is a good hotel, large room, wifi equipped place, nice swimming pool; minus side is, it's quite far from the city.
- MimiS789 (8/5): Best of Manokwari - Manokwari itself is quite a shock for an European, as for cleanigness and hotel facilities. Originally we were supposed to stay in different, small hotel downtown, but moved out of there the minute we walked in. Aston Niu was thus a great choice. This hotel, besides Swisshotel the best accomodation you can get in Manokwari. Having a nice view of the bay, in the viscinity of the airport, it is the best choice in this area, for quite a reasonable price. Descent room, good cuisine, room massage available. A little slow and confused service, but very nice, friendly and polite staff. Not too many tourists in the hotel.

Room service take so long to understand you and deliver your food, an hour for simple sandwich. Only good thing is view facing sea is nice. Wifi is very bad...
