The chalet was perfect for our stay with everything you could need supplied. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had lovely handwash and body lotion along with shampoo and conditioner in the shower. A bbq and outdoor seating provided for each chalet. We also had access to the “grotto” to see the glow worms, she also gave us lots of tips on things to see and do nearby. Leaving 😢😢

Margaret (10/5): Super comfy studio just moments from Takaka - Well located property just moments from the town. Our unit was spacious and super comfortable plus everything was super clean. We were able to wash our tramping clothes in readiness for our second tramp which was a real plus. A very pleasant stay with very welcoming and convivial hosts. Highly recommended. Nothing it was a great place to stay and recharge.

Ungemein liebevoll eingerichtet. Alles passt. Höchster Schlafkomfort. Perfekt sauber. Einrichtung ähnlich in einem 5 Stern Hotel, nur besser! Schnelles Wifi, Netflix!, Küche eingerichtet für richtige Hobbyküche. Glühwürmchen-Grotte. Einbettung in die Felsen fantastisch. Herzliche Gastgeber! Wir bedanken uns von Herzen, Leanne und Issac!

Il y avait une terrasse et un petit jardin pour profiter de l'extérieur, avec table, chaises et parasol. Une partie commune était à disposition pour lavage et séchage du linge, ainsi que pour cuisiner. Euh... Rien!

Eva (10/5): - Absolutely loved our stay. The setting is exceptional. We loved the location- walking distance to Takaka village, close to main attractions. Private, super clean rooms where everything is in the right place. And as a cherry on top top of a already super delicious cake we loved soaking in a bath tub under the sky full of stars after a day of activities while sipping on our favorite prosecco - priceless. Definitely recommend staying there.

Super sauber, effektive Ausstattung, mit allem, was wir brauchten. Wir waren zweimal dort, hatten jedes Mal die behindertengerechte Wohnung, die wir nicht brauchten. Deren Lage ist nicht ganz abgeschirmt wie die anderen Wohnungen.

The owners obviously thought about every detail to create perfect holidays for you. There is beautiful cosy seating in the corner, an outdoor bath with candles, music, and privacy. And they are selling it! Please, you, cool person, buy it and keep running it like that. :) We really love it!

Our chalet, Kereru, was superbly kitted out and there were also plenty of central facilities as well. The outside bath is a unique feature !! It's a short walk into Takaka and the super beaches of Pahora and Tata are a 15 mins drive away. Nothing.

Pamela (10/5): Lovely ambient place to chill out and relax - When we walked into the chalet there was a lovely smell and feel to it. The owners have gone to a lot of trouble to make it an ambient experience, and gone the extra mile with providing nice bathroom toiletries, array of tea coffee choices, tv channel options. Loved the glow worms on site in cave area. Great place to come and chill out. Nothing to dislike.
Anthony (10/5): - Quiet, comfortable chalet with excellent facilities. Surrounding gardens were beautifully maintained. Hosts were attentive and accommodating. Location was great, far enough from town so as to be quiet, but close enough to walk if you wish.
Bryony (10/5): Would have liked to stay for longer than the two nights I had booked. - Very clean and comfortable with good attention to details missed in some other places. Like scissors in the kitchen, and kitchen paper. The host was very friendly and helpful.

steve (10/5): Great 3 night stay in the beautiful, peaceful and calming chalet set amongst rock formations. - The property comes across like a 5 star chalet with everything you could possibly need. Beautiful serene landscape and quiet and calming. We had bath robes and slippers even an undercover outside bath 🛀 Huge banana tree growing next to the house, everything was perfect except the weather 🌧️ Nothing.

Tamar (10/5): - Lovely B&B, the hostess is very nice and welcoming, brought us to the B&B itself, explained everything about the place to us. The B&B itself was a large, well-equipped apartment, clean, with everything you need for a few days' stay. The surrounding yard was wonderful, there is an outdoor bath in the yard. In the summer it is great to take a bath in it. A seating area in the grass above a small stream. Barbecue. We loved the place very much!

Mary (10/5): The Rocks Chalets rock - Loved it, the chalets are spacious and beautiful, so many great touches. Near the road but very quiet, private outlook, lovely environment. Set amongst rocks and gardens, their own glow worm grotto, with beautiful glow worms. A shared area with a pizza oven and laundry and so many extras available. The hosts are so lovely and accommodating. If you don't love The Rocks, you have no soul. We didn't stay long enough

Katharina (10/5): We had a most pleasant stay at the Rocks Chalets - The chalets had everything we needed and were absolutely spotless. Leanne was very helpful and lovely and accommodated our request to be close to family who had also booked a chalet there. As a group, we were able to use the communal kitchen, which was ideal. The glow worm cave was also a highlight for the kids.
Aneila (10/5): Would stay again - The best welcome and tour of facilities I have ever had, hands down. I felt very welcome. The chalet was very roomy and comfortable, large bathroom with separate toilet, the shower was so good! Everything I think I would need was provided for in this room and I loved the layout. The room entrance was at the opposite end, away from the carpark - I'm a private person, so really appreciated that. The Glow Worm Grotto was a nice little added feature, and love the little touches to make it a special area. It's only a minute away before driving into the main street of Takaka, so close to shops but far enough to have some peace & quiet.

Sarah (9/5): Superb - We had a wonderful 3-night stay at The Rocks Chalets. The chalet was spacious, comfortable, and had a lovely outdoor area to relax in. The location is good—quiet yet conveniently close to some great walks. One of the highlights of our stay was seeing a stunning starling murmuration, an unexpected and mesmerising treat. Another memorable moment was visiting the little cave on-site at night. The entrance is lit with charming fairy lights, and inside we some glowworms! Bed was soft and sunk in the middle.
