- Janine (5/5): Great location, but old tired and dirty appartment. - Great location, everything nearby. The cleanliness was seriously lacking. The carpets in the bedroom smelled bad, the pillows were terrible. I’m sure not all the apartments are like this, but the one we stayed in was terrible. Worst of all there was no toilet paper in the toilet. 😏 We had to go to the shops to get some since reception was closed by the time we arrived to check in.

The garage car park was difficult for me to park and manoeuvre in, however I do have a large SUV and it really wasn’t such a problem considering everything else about the property made up for it.

- Rita (6/5): Good for a cheap stay with a great location but lower your expectations on other things. - Location was sensational with kids to access the beach across the road. Option to be in with the waves or the calmer bay area, or walk up to the Beach Pool up Kings Beach. Lovely beach view and breeze straight into the apartment and garage immediately downstairs. We walked to most places, including the Sunday markets up the road, dinner and ice cream by the beachside. Lots of food variety and shops. Kids loved the games/toy store and we loved the bakery on Bulcock that had delicious Vietnamese food too. Floors were filthy and our feet felt stuck to the tiles. Very old inside and needed a refurb. Bathroom had mould and both bathroom and toilet windows faced the stairwell so we heard every footstep and screaming toddler going up and down, even through bed time. Very annoying as even with windows closed, there is a mesh breather that you cannot close. Beds made us itchy, but only one of us had mozzie bites so could have been a mix of things biting. Heated pool also wasn’t very warm at all and still a cold dive in.

The light in the garage did not work and it was very difficult to see when you got out of your car. The garage door is faulty and was extremely hard to open. The biscuits that were left with the towels on the bed are more than 1 year out of date and would have been better not being there at all.

- Done (3/5): Avoid at all costs. No lift! - The apartment was in a good location with a beautiful view. There are no lifts up to the apartments, only a narrow cement staircase. Very dangerous carrying luggage of any size up those stairs. It’s also very dangerous for children and the elderly to use those stairs. Our apartment was extremely old and outdated. In general we were very disappointed with the accommodation.

- Karen (7/5): Pleasant, easy to find, great location, family friendly. - The Joanne is a lovely family friendly holiday apartment complex close to the town, restaurants and cafes, markets etc. It is a little dated, however our grandchildren loved it and it is good value for money with two swimming pools and easy access to Caloundra township, right on the beach front.

- Justin (10/5): This is a perfect location for family and we will be visiting again! - The location of the property was a stone throw away from Happy Valley beach and the park. Close walking distance to shops and restaurants. And the ocean view was amazing. Only supplied one satchet of laundry powder wich only allowed for one load of washing. Being so close to the beach and swimming, we needed more than one load with the amount of nights we stayed. But not a huge drama.

Parking was easy and convenient, which was a big plus. Just keep in mind that there are no lifts, so be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs if you’re staying on a higher floor. - Diego (10/5): Great location, really functional. - Small apartment, fully equipped and with enough space for our family of four. Excellent location, wonderful view. Perfect walking distance to the beach and the shops.
