Brilliant venue that caters all ages. Location is petfect, as we returned to our childhood playground. We have found our fsmily homestead. Highly reccommend. We had the Beach house, a 2 story suite and a ground 2 bedroom suite. Mum loved the memories madd by her mokopuna .

• Krystle Lee (8/5): Our second stay with last stay being just before the pandemic. Just as we’d remembered it, maybe even better. Hope to co - This property is great for kids, lots of things to do and feels very safe for them to go and play. Cabins are as you’d expect for a holiday park in terms of sizing, but clean and comfortable with everything you need. Reception ladies are incredible, very helpful, flexible and knowledgeable. Cleaning ladies are lovely too. Some parts eg toddler playground still under renovation but will be great when finished. Pool not really heated. But still swimmable.

• Renee (9/5): Amazing except for admin staff. - Everything about our stay was awesome. Location the rooms the pool and activities for my granddaughter. Admin staff were frustrating. I paid in full online. Staff called me and said I still needed to pay a deposit on my room even though I had paid in full already. When we decided to stay on an extra night. We had to pack up our room to move then once we had packed the entire room up they came back and said we could stay in the room and didn’t have to relocate.

• Agnes (8/5): Waikanae is a great place to stay for sun, beach and fun. - Waikanae Beach Holiday Park is a great place to stay. It offers a variety of rooms and activities. It is located on the beach front so its a short walk to the beach. It's only a 5min walk to the main township. I loved the self contained unit that we stayed in. Very modern. Air conditioning was great on the very hot days. The grounds were easy to walk around and the facilities were easy to find and use.

• Nicki Ibbetson (8/5): Family fun in the sun - The park was clean and the facilities that were open were well maintained and clean also. We loved the covered in swimming pool! This park is a city park so is close to the beach AND only a short walk to town. Comfy beds and stunning views. A relaxing break away with family. There was a big renovation going on of a bathroom and kitchen block which we were unaware of before we got there, it would have been nice to know before hand, however this didn't worry us, and the other bathrooms were in great condition and kept very clean. These renovations need to be done and we appreciate they were being done before the summer months were in full swing.

We booked a family apartment but the tv was fuzzy so we asked to be moved..the nice lady at reception helped us out We ended up in one of the motels much nicer . And where we would book again when we visit gisbourn. All n all a great place to stay and walk the beach at sundown

• Leightk_3 (9/5): Fantastic place to holiday with family! The Beach Bach is a home away from home! - The Beach Bach was perfect for our stay with parking right outside. It is located close to the reception, pool, park and beach On entering after our long, hot trip we walked into a clean, tidy and cool space. Comfortable and roomy lounge area, kitchen was cool with ample seating and all the appliances you need. Rooms/beds were comfy and served there purpose. Room outside for outdoor dining and a great area for morning/afternoon walks right next to the beach with the Waikanae cafe across the road! The bathroom had a bath & shower which was lovely and extra towels etc were available in the cupboard if you wanted a quick swim in the pool. I would highly recommend for families big and small with your pet! Some areas not available due to the much needed upgrades taking place during the week. I cant wait to see when its all complete.
• Catherine (7/5): Noise was too much. - The location was perfect right on Waikanae Beach with great amenities. The constant logging trucks that went past every few minutes. The ground shook, our whole room shook at night from the noise. It was not relaxing at all. I felt really bad because the actual camp ground is fantastic.

• Botjeman (8/5): Simpel genieten aan het strand - Kleine maar goed efficiënte kamer. Dat gaat prima met alleen de kleine keuken als uitdaging bij het bereiden van maaltijden. De douche is wel het hoogtepunt want deze is heerlijk en super schoon. De faciliteiten er omheen zijn prima, trampoline, zwembad en kinderspeeltuin en dat vlak naast het strand. Je kan je eigenlijk niets meer wensen. Keuken is erg klein en echt van het minimale voorzien. De twee pannetjes waren bijv. Zo klein dat je er nauwelijks genoeg spaghetti in kwijt kon.

Beach was right there and lots of friendly locals out exercising. Overall every aspect was amazing. The room servicing could have been better. Only 2 towels replaced for the 3 of us.(Got more from office. Not sure if cleaning was supposed to be done but it wasn't. That was the only thing that was a let down, Everything else top notch.

We were declined 2 keys/swipe cards to use during our stay from reception, even though we were 2 couples wanting to go to different places to visit. No milk, no kitchen cloth or tea towel to use (i know we could of gone to reception to get those things, but what a bother that is sometimes).

• Ana (5/5): Terrible in off peak when still a high price - Location Nothing was open, gates closed to beach, jump matt not in use, pool shuts early and opens late. Fridge wasn’t turned on and smelt so bad it was unusable. Other guests partied til 330am loud music keeping everyone awake

We had a minor issue with a heat pump when we arrived just before closing, but when we returned fr dinner it was fixed and our room was toasty and warm - staff were super friendly. We found the bunk bed and sofa bed to be quite uncomfortable.

• Alicia (7/5): Good weekend away - Great for families plenty of things to keep kids entertained. Skatepark & pump track within walking distance from campground. Only had one thing that wasn’t great. Went to office to ask for more toilet paper in evening staff member went to get some but returned quickly & said they had run out “so you’ll have to sort yourself out”. All other staff had been overly helpful & friendly.

We also got a free hangi on Matariki which was de - That they had everything we needed in site esp for the kids I am not sure if cleaning was included in their daily service but our room didn't get vacuum or beds didnt get made
• Lala40 (4/5): Noisy and overpriced- disappointed. - Room located in awkward area of park to locate - very noisy road behind park with logging trucks starting early in the morning - 4am. Marketed with a premium accommodation price but does not meet that standard. Unit next door had people smoking and sitting outside loudly talking - outdoor seating not private at all - facing road and parking area. If you are looking for quiet accommodation this is not it.

My boys loved everything that was there No fan in the bathroom of the family unit we were staying in

It was our first ever time in Gisborne and it felt like we weren't welcome based on others.
