Unfortunately the smoking area of the people in the unit below us was right under our bathroom window so wafted up. Not a big deal - just meant we had to keep the window shut.

Walking distance to water both sides, cafe and fish and chip shop. Gardens and pool were maintained. Had our own backyard with clothes line and bins. There was nothing we didn’t like. Had everything we needed.

• Charles (9/5): Comfortable and spacious apartment in a handy, quiet location - Very spacious 2 bedroom apartment with all kitchen facilities one would require. It also had a guest laundry with washing machines and a dryer as well as washing lines and pegs. It was in a quiet court an easy walk into the shops. The nights we stayed were very cold (winter) and we found piled on 2 spare blankets found in cupboards but a warm doona or electric blanket would make it more comfortable in winter.

• Paul (7/5): A nice break in Merimbula - Comfortable place in good location for short walk to the beach and cafes, right in middle of Fishpen. Nice managers and pool was very clean and solar heated. Older style place with basic facilities and no view of lake or ocean, and prices in the area high for the season. Neighbours a bit noisy. Needs some more things in the kitchen and bathroom, hand towels, more TP, more crockery etc.

I don't think the customer should be responsible to take out the garbage and handwash crockery & utensils. Unsanitary.

• Carol (8/5): I had a lovely holiday, felt very relaxed and safe. - Being alone, I felt safe. The staff were very friendly and helpful.I was able to walk into town, to the beach, hardly used my car. The bed was a bit hard and having no curtains in the bedroom (only vertical blinds) there was quite a bit of light early in the morning. The tin roof was very noisy on windy days.

• Susanne (10/5): I love Merimbula and surrounds at this time of year - I felt very at home in the unit. It was great being able to walk to the beach and the cafes close by. It was very peaceful. I had to reverse the car up the drive way to get out and I don't like reversing; however, I did it.

• Jane (7/5): Comfortable and good value - The accommodation suited our needs. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. It is well located in the Fishpen area of Merimbula with a cafe and takeaway shop just around the corner. It is very good value for money. I would recommend Chapman Court and the hosts for a short stay. For a self contained apartment the kitchen could have been better stocked. There was only one bowl which you either use for salad or fruit but not both. There was no baking tray or oven mitts which I would have expected to be standard. We had to buy a dishcloth as the one in the room was threadbare with holes. Not big issues but sufficient to be annoying when trying to self cater.

Crankys cafe and the fish and chip shop are also just up the road. Lovely hosts, great pool to cool off in and nice spacious accomodation.

Pool was lovely and clean with good BBQ facilities The unit was in walking distance to the beach, a cafe and takeaway shop at the end of the street.

Here was a venue that provided far more in the way of kitchen utensils, etc than some of the far more expensive places we have stayed at. Having a washing machine available was a great benefit for us.

• Jason (8/5): Clean, Quiet and Comfortable - The property was quiet, was exceptionally clean, beds were comfortable, amenities were excellent. The couches are not comfortable at all. My son and I wanted to watch some movies while we were there and the couches actually gave us back pain after a while.
