• Zola (10/5): Nice stay away from home - There was no fuss in checking in. The room was tidy, cosy, and modern. We had our own kitchen so if you're into making food, everything is there. It was so peaceful amd the view is amazing. The host was lovely and checked in with us at times to see if everything was ok and if we needed anything.. It's lovely and I would recommend staying there again. We didn't get a chance to try the spa because the weather was too hot for one. But overall it was a beautiful stay.

• Siru (8/5): Served our purpose well! Lovely hosts, they're planning to renovate the space for future convenience - Great quiet place with heaps of space for 2 people. Huge fridge was amazing! Good location for all kinds of activities around within 1-2hrs drive radius. Good space for parking, we had two vehicles and a trailer. Really lovely hosts, friendly and helpful. Covered Spa-pool in a pool house with a harbor view was a huge bonus - was great for bad weather days - one of main reasons to book this place when the weather came in and camping was not a good option anymore. Thank you! Will come again if get a chance. Was slightly outdated facility - which was completely understandable and was not a big issue to us, but I can see how it could maybe make someone else feel more uncomfortable. Out of high season time some aspects of the cleanliness were maybe overlooked slightly: apartment in basement floor smelled very musty and damp & bedroom curtains were quite moldy, had to air out the rooms the first day quite well. Also found out the last morning that one of the pillow-cases had clearly not been changed after the last guests. The under-side of it had some colourful stains/fingerprints and quite thick residue of something- and wasn't a small stain (food or vomit etc)! But that was already the morning of departure we noticed it so did not matter really anymore because we were completely unaware of it for most of our stay.

Perhaps a handrail by the steep part of the path down to the unit would be helpful for people who are not so sure-footed.

• Jocelyn (8/5): Very good - Stunning views of Whangaroa harbour, comfortable facilities, very comfortable bed, altogether very pleased. I was sorry I didn't see the owners before I left as I had to leave early but I thank them for providing such a nice place to stay. The toilet was very low and hard to get up from, that's about the only thing I found difficult.
• Janet (9/5): Lovely and relaxing place to stay - It was a very comfortable unit with a view over bay and the excellent spa. If you've spent the day bushwalking, the spa is great! We were there out of the school holiday season, and we had it to ourselves (otherwise, there's an arrangement to share between the units). The host is very friendly and suitably relaxed for the small and laid back destination. She also has an eye for design, and there are some nice touches and artwork in the unit. Be aware that it is a small village;there's one place to eat, the Fishing Club, otherwise come prepared to cook, so factor this into your planning. The nearest Four Square's a ten minute drive away in Kaeo, but this is part of exploring this beautiful part of the country. That we only stayed one night. It's a lovely spot.

Beautiful views, quiet and peaceful. Nothing I didn't like.

• Judith (10/5): Idyllic and peaceful - The view was amazing. We sat in bed in the morning drinking coffee and watching the sun rise above the mist. The spa pool is in a covered area, where you can look at the view. Beds were soft, just how we like them! Very quiet area. 😉 There were people staying in the room next door, who had to walk past to get to the car. Was a little awkward when we were sitting in bed with curtains open to look at the view and they walked past!

More queen sized beds than the website showed. Very clean and tidy and stunning views. We were able to have lunch with all of rhe family (20). If I had to say something the spa could have been a little hotter.

It was quiet, clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend this place to others. Room wasn't ready on arrival as they thought we were a couple and had put us in a room with one bed. It wasn't really a convenience though as while we waited we got to admire the view.
