- Miners (8/5): - Tucked away just back off, the bottom of the main street. Perfect location for a cheap weekend getaway. Studio rooms are not the flashiest but they are clean, have basic kitchenette, aircons good and everything you need is conveniently accessed via a short walk from where you are without the dreaded hill climb on the way back. The room was a little cramped and no place for your luggage. The lighting wasn't very good and that the bed base was in poor shape. Overall these are great apartments and I have stayed here many times and I'd recommend them anyone for a cheap weekend away.

We were originally in a studio apartment for 3 of us, although our tv was playing up so she upgraded us to a 2 bedroom apartment which was so kind and above and beyond what she needed to do - so thank you!! And she was so good at giving advice on activities to do in and around Airlie too! The apartments are comfortable and the location is AMAZING, right next to the Main Street and opposite Woolworths!!

It is walking distance to the beach - though not a private beach the listing claims to have. The view from the apartment was amazing. After hours check in was easy. Despite being told we would get a refund IN WRITING IN THE BOOKING.COM CHAT, we never got a cent back from this place. Even Booking.com sided with the property, and only offered a credit for a meager 10% of what we paid. We arrived late, management had already left. This was fine until we walked into the apartment. - None of the photos on the listing were from the apartment we stayed in - No air conditioning in every room like the photos suggest - The bathroom is old, rundown and damaged, while the photos suggest they have been renovated - Overall condition from the photos is considerably better than reality Overall: - Cobwebs on the walls throughout - Dirt and grime in every room - Hair from previous guests noticeable in many places - The bedding has existing stains on it Bathroom: - Run down and dirty - Patches of mould - Toilet cistern didn't refill reliably, sometimes taking more than 5-10 mins - One of the panes of glass in the bathroom is missing - Shower head is not adjustable, and is only usable when leaning against the wall Lighting: - The lights flicker - Several bulbs are blown - The fittings don't look like they have been cleaned - likely ever Comfort: - The smell of the neighbour smoking comes in instantly, even with all the windows closed. So much for non-smoking rooms - No insect control methods are provided. The bugs in QLD are big, especially the roaches - Lack of space for towels, shower amenities We met with the on site management the morning after arriving, and without any prompting from us they immediate stated that the place was really bad. They were temporary managers, and were leaving the next day. Due to everything being booked out, we couldn't stay anywhere else. Ended up paying to reschedule our flights, and flew out the day the real manages came back, but because of the time of our flight we couldn't speak to them.

- Tonje (9/5): A wonderful stay! - Bridget, the host, was wonderful. I arrived quite early, and she was so accommodating. I was offered to wait for my room to be cleaned (or store my luggage and explore town) or a different room that was ready. I chose the other room, and was given access by 9 am. And at checkout, when told my bus wouldn't leave for another couple of hours, she offered to let me stay for another hour free of charge. Bridget is truly a 10/10 manager! When I had any questions, they were more than willing to answer and help. The facilities were great. I had a small porch with table and chairs. The kitchen facilities were also excellent with both a fridge and a freezer and all the basic cooking equipment. The apartments are located in walking distance to the grocery store and the rest of the town, and even though it is in a busy area, the noise was not bothersome. I did not use the pool facilities, but they looked good. While there is only WiFi in the common areas, the connection is good and probably extends to the closest apartments. It did not extend to mine, but the common areas had loads of seating options with a great view. It had obviously been a little while since someone had stayed in the room (or it had a quick turnaround). The floors were noticably dirty (especially under the bed), but not to the extent that I was put off, just noticed it (had I alerted them to this, they would probably have fixed it). I understand that guests cleans the kitchen equipment after use (also necessary because of the ants), but some had been cleaned a little poorly and I had to do the dishes before making my food. Maybe just have the cleaning staff check to see if everything is clean? The WiFi is only available in common areas, and these are not protected much from the elements.

- Adele (7/5): Not the best, but not the worst. Location made up for it - The whole motel seemed a bit tired Maintenance inside motels could be better ie tv not working, rusty fridge, toilet roll holder falling off

- Angela (9/5): Fantastic host and amazing location - Bridget is amazing. So friendly and helpful. Thank you for making our stay a great one. Location is fantastic. Parking is on site and free. The rooms are well equipped. The Internet dropped out a few times in our room.

- Michele (7/5): A great time to destress and enjoy Airlie for trips to Whitehaven (a must!) - This was a perfect base to be. Minutes across the road from Woolies and a short walk to the cafes and restaurants. It just seemed a little dated, comfy enough though for the 2 of us.

Bathroom is a little dated, guest parking tight and disorganised. Noise from the night club in the Main Street into the late hours.
- Suelen (7/5): Good value for a family stay, in a perfect location. - - Location is perfect! - Aircon in both bedrooms - decent beds and two extra beds in the living room - very functional kitchen - great for a family stay looking for a good cost benefit - very dark bedrooms (the sun is up at 4:30 in Summer!) - very spacious bathroom - exceptional service provided by the manager Bridgette, with concierge for tours. She is a gem! - no aircon in the living room (it’s a must have in tropical QLD) - dusty furniture and curtains (cleanliness is non negotiable…) - the entire apartment could use an update. I’m sure people wouldn’t mind to pay a bit more in such a great location. - Suggestion: the kitchen could offer decent sponges, detergent and some basic pantry items - such as salt, oil, vinegar, coffee (instead of only tea) - and butter with Vegemite (very Aussie for tourists).

- Kathy (10/5): Our stay was made amazing by the management and location. - Bridgette, the site manager, was super helpful. As we travelled during a cyclone, she kept in constant contact with us and when we arrived assisted with (re)booking our tours. She made our stay amazing and the apartment was clean and perfectly located. We were told by the downstairs apartment that they could hear everything and we walked heavily.

Vue sur l’ocean Malpropre, beaucoup de poussière et fourmis Équipements désuets Air climatisé bruyant et seulement dans le salon, pas dans les chambres. Salle de bain à rénover: Vieille douche avec rideau de douche qui traine parterre, inefficace et dégoutant. Ne donne pas le goût de se laver.
- Thiri (6/5): - The manager is very sweet, informative and helpful. The room was not clean properly that we had to cleaned the toilet ourselves on the first day. There’s some insects in the bathroom and bedroom area, probably it’s because our room is in the corner of the back side.
