- Melinda (6/5): Good location, but unfortunately, a few too many little things wrong. - The host was helpful and the checking in process was relatively simple, once I realised that there was no reception office and you had to ring a phone number. The room was spacious and the bed relatively comfortable. Unfortunately, there were a number of little issues that detracted from the stay: - the TV remote would not work (other than to turn the TV on); - the hair dryer in the bathroom switched on momentarily before frying (could smell burnt element); - toilet was 'running' all night - shower oscillated between warm and piping hot, so you had to be careful not to burn yourself; - the shower door did not go all the way to the floor, so the bathmat ended up being soaked. - the cord on the horizontal blinds did not work, so the blinds could not be closed all the way

Nous avons dû prendre un autre motel alors que nous avions déjà payé - Nous sommes arrivés le jour férié de Pâques et il n’y avait pas de réception . Nous avons dû téléphoner et l.individu qui a répondu nous a annoncé que la chambre programmée pour une seule nuit et payée d’avance n’était libre qu’a 14 heures. Les motels en Australie font tout pour libérer les chambres et les appartements dès que le client arrive en matinée, car il vient souvent de faire des heures de route en voiture ce qui était notre cas . Nous avons été dans un autre motel pas beaucoup plus cher mais qui nous a accueillis de suite . J’ai échangé par la suite sur le site de booking.com avec la gérant du Gladstone Capricorn apartments qui a osé dire qu’ils étaient surbookés la veille et que le ménage n’était pas encore fait . En fait c’était un jour férié du week end de Pâques et ni le personnel de nettoyage et ni lui même ne travaillaient . Le comble c’est l’absence totale de réception. IL FAUT QUE BOOKING.COM ENLÈVE CE MOTEL DE LA LISTE POUR ÉVITER À SES CLIENTS FIDÈLES D’ETRE TROMPE SUR SA QUALITÉ CAR LA STRUCTURE EST RÉBARBATIVE ET VÉTUSTE ET ELLE N’EST PAS DU TOUT ENGAGEANTE … Tout : absence de réception durant le week end de Pâques et impossibilité de rentrer dans la chambre pour une seule nuit avant 14 h, selon la réponse antipathique du gérant au tel .. alors que nous avions fait plusieurs heures de voiture pour rejoindre Gladstone. Nous avons dû prendre une chambre dans un autre motel à proximité qui nous a tout de suite donné l’accces à notre chambre : il était 10 h. - Susan (3/5): Crap - The place wasn't clean, the floor had been sprayed with so much carpet spray our feet were squeaking and sticky. The air conditioning had mould all in the fans as did the shower and bathroom. The sink in the bathroom ran constantly. The bath towels were so worn out.

- Vastesaeger (1/5): Horrible - Nothing. A pure disaster. I didn’t stay, didn’t feel safe at all. Everything was wrong. We call the number when we arrive at the place. No answer for 30min while we were waiting on the car park outside. Suddenly a man arrive. No apologies from his part for make us wait, he give us the key so we think that it’s ok. When we want to go out of the room, it was impossible to open the door from inside. So we needed to call him again. Hopefully he was still there. Still no excuses from him. I pass the details, but I was feeling really unsafe and uncomfortable at this place and recommand it to no one. Everything.

- Jamielee (1/5): Serious maintenance and safety issues – needs urgent attention - I liked when we got to leave, there was nothing I liked . And when we noticed items broken and how unsafe it was I requested to leave immediately but I had no help or support to do this. And as our family just drove 10 hours we were exhausted. Possibly the worse place I have ever been to all the pics advertised were a lie We booked rooms 523 and 522 with spas to relax after a long drive with our 2-month-old, 2-year-old, and 15-year-old. Both spas were filthy and broken — staff confirmed neither worked, even though we paid extra for them. The microwave didn’t work, the fridge overheated behind a cupboard and spoiled our food, and the bathroom light flickered nonstop. The only door was a struggle to open and the handle fell off. Power points were so low my husband couldn’t plug in his medical device near the bed. In the other room, the toilet didn’t flush and the TV was hanging by a zip tie. We called multiple times for help but nothing was done. For over $300 a night, this was unsafe, stressful, and unacceptable.

- Petzler (1/5): Dirtiest motel in Gladstone! - The room was a good size. The room was filthy dirty with the previous guests food still in the fridge, unvacuumed carpets unclean kitchen appliances cookware and dishes and the in room spa bath was so dirty that it was unusable resulting in our departure after the first night of our stay. I spoke with management and voiced my disgust in the state of the room and requested a refund of the $300- I had paid and was given no apology and told that I would only be given a $60- refund ... which i haven't received a penny of.

There was no toilet paper at all in the room so after a day of travelling on a Sunday we had to find a shop to buy it. The room as dirty and very very dated. Lights on the outside of the room beamed into the room so it was hard to sleep. The pictures on the site are very very different to the actual accommodation.

It smelt like there was something rotten in the drains in the bathroom. There was old mouldy fruit? Under the desk area. No stove top as stated in the description so I couldn’t cook anything. Half the lights didn’t work. Blinds don’t close properly. No batteries in the tv remote. A dirty bandaid on the desk. I would not stay here ever again. Dust everywhere, looked like the place hadn’t been cleaned in months at least. Extremely disappointing.

Some suggestions: Better Security on front door and windows (one window was good though). Replace the torn shade sail material for those guests with cars. That would also improve the aesthetics. There was an old cup of orange drink in the fridge and a half-drunk bottle of Solo. The room was advertised with a jacuzzi; however, it was a small spa bath, but there was no plug provided so it was not able to be effectively used.
