• barry (5/5): Over priced at 107$. - hotel adjoining. no a.c., no toiletries ,no basin,very small room,backpackers room behind our room. loud music,loud talking and yelling AT 3AM.
• FOREST (5/5): Okay for a one nighter. Or, for the young and adventurous. Clean enough. - The bed bugs have been cleared up. Renovations have taken place since our last visit over a decade ago when we vowed to never return. However, the clever marketing sucked us in to this one. More so, when we saw this place advertised underneath the ad for the place we booked. Turned out, they were bot the same places, so kudos. Semi false advertising, but it's on me. Welcome to the Hoey Moey.

• Helen (5/5): It was fair and an experience thank you - I liked the location for the beach, the restaurant next door should you want to use and the bar / gig set up next to the restaurant however the noise into the early hours was too much for me, other guests are noisy and drinking outside it’s more of a party motel. if I was younger this place would have been amazing but it is just not right for me where I am on my life journey that’s all. Recommend a hairdryer, shampoos etc in room, but basic and clean enough - staff are lovely and they have security.

• Douglas (6/5): Good location but don’t come here was a sound sleep. - The location was good with easy access to the beach. The bar is right on site with a good band playing. We were woken up in the early hours of the morning to people shouting right outside our rooms. The curtains also had questionable splatter marks up them and the mattresses needed updating. The security guard was also very rude and sarcastic, and laughed with his friend when we asked whether we would need our id’s to enter the bar (me and my partner are both late 20’s, early 30s).

• Mele (1/5): NEVER STAY HERE - Nothing Everything - walked in and was hit with the smell of marijuana. No opening windows and no air conditioning. Was in the room for a seconds and decided to ask for a full refund at reception. Very rude and inexperienced security guard served me at reception. Taking my keys and resting to refund my $134 for one night. Manager attended and no help. After driving for 5 hours, the last thing I needed was to be stranded in a town 5 hours away from my destination. Never stay here, unsafe, dirty, no service and thieves!

Room a legacy from the 1950's but at 2026 prices!!! Party house next door in progress, felt like it was inside the motel room...a situation, any Tuesday night guest, just has to accept....as any neighbour can't predict, anytime, yet we can't blame this poor motel host, but it's just the luck of this customer. A tricky question...refer above customer issue

Reception never there. Neighbour had to buy their own fans to stay cool from Bunnings . At $400 per night

• Terri (3/5): Value for money if you want basic accomodation for a big night out. Food and restaurant facilities were awesome. - Great location. The pub facilities and restaurant was great. Very affordable accommodation for anyone on a budget. Not an ideal place for elderly or people travelling through. Very loud. Party locations at the back of some rooms- people up until 5am drinking, smoking and playing music. This was not confined to the entertainment areas within the pub. Would be perfect accommodation for someone looking for a great night out.

NEVER AGAIN!! - It’s advertised as a motel and it’s at a backpackers It has no aircon Room smelt like vomit had to be moved after I begged not offered! Absolutely disgusting motel At a backpackers and not advertised as one HAS NO AIRCON -EVEN BALI third world countryHAS AIRCON smelt like vomit people sitting on our outside table drinking when arrived and had to ask staff to ask them to move and was made to feel so uncomfortable by the people and staff during the stay! I asked for a late check out then the staff demanded Infront of the whole motel I give the keys back to him while I was packing my stuff and loading my car not even waiting for me to check out! even said I don’t need the keys to go back into my room I had paid for! Worst place I’ve ever Stayed! Also the first complaint I’ve put in and review! Staff weren’t helpful and I had every right to complain and asked to be moved the whole room smelt like vomit absolutely disgusting place! Was made to feel uncomfortable and like a pest in the un air conned motel that does not state it’s at a backpackers and charges full price! Absolutely disgusting
• Wasi (2/5): Disappointed - Unfortunately there wasn’t much to like about the property other than the location. There is no air conditioning, carpet was very dirty and the entire unit had a very bad smell. Bathroom door knob was dangling and would not lock properly.

• Debra Lea (6/5): Pleasant - The accommodation was compact and clean . It wasn’t too noisy as it was right next to the pub. The pub meals were generous in size and tasty. There was no access to the beach from the property although it was right on the beach.
