- Fiona (8/5): - For budget style accommodation, this place was great. It was clean, well equipped and in a great location for walking through the main Street of town. The manager is not on site but we had good communication. I was a little intimidated by the QR check-in but eventually got it working fine.
- Murray (7/5): -

- Cgl16 (8/5): Would stay there again happily - Location was central and just what we wanted. Staff were helpful friendly and good at their job. Parking was ok but small in total area, had to be really careful not to hit other vehicles.
- John (5/5): An old motel, adequate if no better motel available. - The location was excellent. There is no reception office. Key delivery and return is remote. There is no management on site. The rooms are very old and look very old. It looks run down but the room was clean. A good shower. Overall not impressed.
- Kim (8/5): -
- Pradeep (10/5): Excellent stay. - Very nice motel with clean beds and toilets. Great for a stop over. Friendly staff. Lost of parking available. All was good.
- Colleen (9/5): A very good place to stay. - Helpful staff good location Slightly complex way of getting in
- Michelle (10/5): -
- DTuff (9/5): - Location Acoustics - room 12 and 13 have an adjoining door, it needs replacing with one that stops sounds coming through. We were in 12 and could hear every word spoken in room 13.
- Brian (7/5): Just OK - Close to town centre
Cost
Roomy and had almost everything we wanted No WiFi
Too noisy from traffic
Getting in with QR code wasn’t easy
- Alda (9/5): Great place, great value - Beds were nice, shower nice, room clean, great place to stay How to access the room, we would of preferred office office open to get key, there is no staff on arrival and you need code and pin to access room, very hard for the elderly or people with no phone skills.
- Michael (9/5): Good place to stay at an affordable price close to shops and food - Easy to find , good location , nice comfortable and clean room The door scanner took forever to open with the sun glare
- peter (1/5): - The road to Broken Hill was blocked and could not go there, but I spoke to the owner and she was very rude. the talk with the owner- very rude
- Mark (8/5): I would stay here again . Good value. - Great place to stay in Broken Hill especially for people travelling alone. Myself and 8 other Bikers all as singles. Very secure. Very clean Dark inside. Little natural light. Tired. Neat and clean but tired. Bed smallish for 2.
- Greg (7/5): Nothing fancy but good value -
- Fraser (10/5): Perfect CBD stay - Great position
Simple check in Nil
- Michael (7/5): - Thanks.
- Lorraine (9/5): Good place to stay on a short visit. - Centrally located, close to city centre. Comfortable room. Good communication prior to check in.

- ABS RACING (9/5): - Close to transport to race's Not enough chairs out side every one kept taking ours
- Nick (8/5): -
- Andrew (7/5): Satisfactory - Convenient for an overnight stop when driving interstate. The key system requiring the use of a QR code was clunky. On paper it sounds as if it was modern technology designed to make access easy. In reality it was difficult to get the phone in the right place to encourage the door to open - especially when returning from dinner in the dark.
- Justin (7/5): Short walk into middle of town. Room is old but clean. No problems - Best shower, like a waterfall. Big room, fridge, cutlery, microwave etc. All good no dramas
- Kevin (8/5): - Wish I was told there was a grocery next door when I asked about food.
- Diane (9/5): -
- Stratton (7/5): Clean and convenient, whoever the cleaners stood outside my door swearing and yelling which was pretty poor - Close to town No bed side lamps that worked
- matt (7/5): -
- Mark (9/5): - Close to everything and no noise from traffic.
- Bruce (10/5): -
- O'toole (10/5): - Quiet but close to town Qr codes to open doors only worked once
- Klaus (8/5): -
- Abhilasha (8/5): GOOD PLACE TO STAY - STAFF CHANGED THE ROOM FOR US AS THE FIRST ONE WAS NOT GOOD, SO IT WAS VERY HELPFUL AND A CLEAN ROOM BATHROOM WAS TINY
- Barry (10/5): Excellent clean comfy bed had a great night sleep - Help from staff was most appreciated and sorted my booking issue immediately without any hesitation
WELL DONE to the female person who answered my call on one of the most hottest days this year.
I will definitely be a guest again and recommend it to family friends and others
Most appreciated
Kind Regards
Barry Nothing room met all my expectations
- Gavin (9/5): - Single bed was very soft you sink into the middle
- mike (7/5): - The check in process and QR codes etc was not great.
- Webber (9/5): -
- Alisha22 (10/5): - Good water pressure in the shower. Heaps of parking space. Bed was a bit squishy but still comfortable enough
- Carol (9/5): The Argent is always great value for a reasonable price. - Great staff. Great location. Comfortable bed. The shower was near-new, very clean, with good water pressure. The room - tea, coffee, water, toiletries etc - was well-stocked as always. I stay at the Argent whenever I can when visiting Broken Hill I couldn't open my window or my curtains -solid curtains only, no sheers- this stay. Luckily the air conditioner was a good one, but I missed the natural light during the day
- Renee (10/5): -
- Carol (9/5): Great value, great location, great staff. - I stay at the Argent whenever I can get a booking there. They're exceptional for a budget motel, with great management and staff, comfortable beds and good clean, hot showers with plenty of water pressure. My room had a brand new air conditioner too, I only needed it on for a few minutes at a time to keep the room cool a few days in the mid-30's. And to top it off the Argent is only a few minutes walk to the coach stop, cafes, clubs, parks etc. Did I mention the extra-helpful staff? Brilliant. The Argent has the common motel problem of guests sitting outside their room talking loudly, drinking, smoking etc some nights. At least the Argent's guests quietened down well before midnight, and as a woman staying alone I didn't feel unsafe at all, unlike experiences over the years in other hotels and motels.
- Antonio (8/5): -
- Leon (8/5): Comfortable. Convenient. Good value. - Good central location Key return. It was not clear where to leave key on departure.
- Hannah (10/5): - I got in late at night and the heater had been left on for me to arrive to a VERY comfortable room. Spotlessly clean and super helpful staff
- Christine (10/5): - Comfortable beds and lovely shower.
- Leon (8/5): Comfortable. - Good location central to main street Nothing. It met my expectations.
- Geromee (8/5): -
- Richard (6/5): -
- Anna (9/5): -
- Trina (8/5): -
- Lynette (10/5): - Everything ,just a very easy process , the location is fantastic for me, walking distance to pubs, clubs, cafes and shopping
- Peter (9/5): -
- Victoria (9/5): - Great facilities, friendly staff and great location. NA
- Martin (7/5): -
- Geoff (8/5): - Location No curtians
- Barry (5/5): - The location was pretty handy to everything. I could usually walk to dinner. The bed was comfortable. I hated the mobile QR door system. I would have preferred a swipe card. The QR initially didn’t work when I arrived and it also stopped working randomly one day when I came home with dinner. I had to eat my food in my car. I tried again after my meal and the QR started worked again. I thought I booked a property with a pool, my mistake as I mistook this property for the other property (lodge). Also, the wireless was non existent. I tried twice and gave up. It only showed up as discoverable on the second to last day, by then I had been using my own phone as a hot spot for my iPad. There was a dog staying in the room next to me for the last two days I was there, it would bark anytime it heard a noise. Given the incredible heat during the day, some sort of shade for the carpark would have been useful.
- Tracey (8/5): - Clean and spacious with all the tools you need for a short stay All good, we went back
- Linda J (4/5): Good Customer Service goes a long way and good manner cost nothing - very disappoointing - it was located in the centre of town, close to shops etc. Also, we got complimentary bottles of water. For what we paid per night I would have expected the facilities to be a little more updated. I was disappointed in the attitude of the lady with the red hair, though I understand she had a job to do and was feeling under the pump managing three properties I would have appreciated not being treated like an idiot for not being able to operate the qr code system through my phone and I felt that she could have been more courteous and compassionate as someone in the business of customer service it is important to maintain a level of professionalism and check your problems at the front door especially if you want customers to return. I doubt if I am travelling to broken hill that I would choose to stay at the argent again as I found the treatment very off putting not to mention the constant messages about the payment suggested to me they didn't care about me as long as they got their money.
- Darren (9/5): Great value for money - Clean room, great location, short walk into town New QR code door lock a bit fiddly until shown how to make it work with phone
- Endre (9/5): -
- Velda (8/5): Great location, staff great - Location was great Old uneven bathrooms
- Michael & Angela (6/5): - Accomodation basic but position in Broken Hill was very good to access to the town.
- Nicole (4/5): . - . Not very clean, mould in shower and bathroom. Budget accommodation
- Belinda (8/5): Restful - Comfort and quality. Very affordable and clean.
- Angelina (5/5): -
- Pui Heng (9/5): - Clean and comfortable. The location is excellent too.
- David (8/5): Great Value - Clean, good value older circa 1970's
Automated qr door unlocking no staff on site.
We need some help and they were quickly ob site and very friendly
- Anthony (8/5): Nice place to stay - Close to all attractions i wanted to attend/ see. Getting the code and accessing the unit door.
- Debra (8/5): Overnight stop - Overnight stay, contact-less entry, so no staff contact or reception area.
Close to the Democratic Club for dinner, an easy walk if it was not raining. Road traffic was interesting as it sounded like a raceway at times. Nothing the motel can fix though.
- Linda J (5/5): An average stay - The hotel was located right in the town centre, for an overnight stay it was ok, the bed was comfortable enough for what we paid a night. The shower wasn't bad. I found the qr code awkward and difficult to use and didn't like i had to ring to get assistance and felt it would have been better if i could have checked in at a reception.
- Sombhatla (4/5): Better places to stay elsewhere for the similar price. - Good location, helpful staff. The rooms looks like pretty worn out than what appears in photos.
- Keith (8/5): -
- Geoffrey (9/5): - good
- Guest (7/5): Problematic check in - The check in was problematic.
I did not receive the email or SMS with the QR code to access my room.
Tried calling for help but was put through to voicemail.
Finally someone turned up and only then I received the SMS with the QR code for room access.
- Barbara (10/5): -
- Franklin (9/5): -
- Bonnie (9/5): It’s clean and cool and the accommodation section is brand new. - The owners are lovely and so is the pub vibe.
The staff were all extremely helpful. Not much space for parking but they are fixing that with a new concrete area being laid.
- John (9/5): Very useful and functional - It was very functional There was nothing that I didn’t like about this property
- Hla Myat (8/5): - Good location. Clean. Good for money
- Fran (10/5): -
- Philip (8/5): Great value for money in very central location. - Great location, parking convenient, close to town restaurants and clubs and well priced, good value for money. Keyless entry will be great when teething troubles sorted and emails received with QR code. Cleaning could have been better, a lot of dust near bed, bedside table and areas not often accessed eg. near powerpoints.
- (Susan) Andrea (9/5): Great stay at The Argent - Large room, comfortable bed with own bathroom etc. T.V., microwave, fridge, cutlery, china, glasses etc. Felt secure. Key was available with code. I arrived by coach very late!
Easy walking distance for most things.
Older style but clean over all.
Thank you, l enjoyed 3 nights. Couple of hooks on curtains hanging loose!
