Guest Reviews
- Warren (1/5): SCAM - Nothing ***SCAM ALERT*** These people are con artists they will ask for a bond (not in policies) and then try to fleece you. They claimed I turned a fridge off even though I did not use the fridge at all just turned up and went to bed. They also have other policies not mentioned such as changing $50 if you leave the light on. All designed to take your money. DO NOT BOOK!!!

- reid (6/5): Short..thank god…just one night.. - The room was tiny..
The stairs for an elderly lady with luggage was dreadful..extremely difficult..and the order ,to have NO visitors was also very uncomfortable..
Yours truly PENELOPE

- Fiona (10/5): - After long days in the city, arriving back to a clean room with a comfortable bed was everything. Parking is right out front, street is remarkably quiet being so close to city and easy access instructions. Could have used some milk in fridge upon arrival and extra toilet paper.
- QUINTON (10/5): Fantastic, loved staying at the establishment. Cant wait to return ☺️ - Close to the city, beautiful room, tastefully designed decorated, great sized jacuzzi, beautiful view and chandelier. Nothing, everything was great.
- Melissa (7/5): -
- Alexandre (10/5): Excellent - Great location
Clean
Friendly staff
- Abraham (10/5): -
- McAlpine (5/5): Passable but won't stay again - The proximity to the East Perth train terminal. The room/facility was quiet. Shower has great water pressure. Room was not ready after confirming arrival time. Dirty dishes on living room table and in sink of communal area. If the spa was open, there was no way to know. There was no coffee anywhere. There's no elevator and I came from the airport. Had to haul my bag up three flights.
- Eric (7/5): Comfy and spacious beautiful house would recommend - Very clean beautiful house with No spare key had to share with another guests. Wifi on the tv was to slow to use it and the aerial was not connected for regular channels
- Colette (3/5): -
- Bilguun (6/5): I couldn’t find something. The hoster was still saying should be there. It was like that I hid it somewhere and joking w - Good location, clean property, and quiet environment. Some staff I could not find.
- Paul (9/5): -
- Griffiths (10/5): -
- Bree (9/5): Would definitely go back again! Perfect for a night away - Was really close to some beautiful walks and places to eat,the spa bath was amazing and so relaxing, big tv and big bed It wasn’t the cleanest places iv stayed, lots of cobwebs on the roof
- Francisco (10/5): -
- Nicole (10/5): -
- Trevor (7/5): Good location for optus stadium event. Air conditioning temperature very warm and no hot water - Location Cold shower and poor air conditioning
- Patricia (8/5): - No breakfast! Cold shower in the morning!
- Klor (6/5): -
- Vincent (4/5): Faux Hindu wellness spa and accommodation so eclectic it destroys any meditation and relaxation. AC non existent - Central location The room was disjointed, corner lounge pulled apart so I accidentally caught my heal on the metal joining connection.
The bed was awful, looked like it was out of super A mart, where it would have been more comfortable to stay the night:
Ensuite was cramped, and impossible to have a decent shower.
Air con was virtually nonexistent in the king suite we had, told the rooms above got it better and we had a poorly performing swamp cooler to help replace the lack of air con. The TV wasn’t plugged in, the ‘bedside’ lamp was a small one on the floor.
Tea and coffee making facilities, microwave and bar fridge with random toaster oven (as welll as Normal toaster) in 4 different spots in room.
Staff in wellness spa were abrupt and killed any romance in the couples package by telling us to abruptly to put our hands up when we were holding them rather then just go around the side. The spa hot tub was dangerously hot and given bubbles but no cool water, nearly fainted. Additionally one of the Masseuses made a devoutly catholic statement about Jesus Christ being the saviour when we were discussing Ganesha which the spa was named after.
TLDR Faux boutique disjointed Spa, owned by an Englishwoman and staffed by an Italian descent and Brazilian, no Hindu connections whatsoever it is a poor attempt at cultural appropriation.
Should be bought by a Malaysian or Indian and done properly. All in all it’s just lucky we are deeply in love and enjoyed each others presence as there was nothing helping the experience from the venue
- Matilde (10/5): -
- Hansjürg (7/5): - Sehr grosszügig mit den Gemeinschafts-Räumen Etwas chaotisch möbliert
- Jacqui (9/5): - Very clean and spacious. Nice quiet location.
- Ann (8/5): Very comfortable and convenient - Lovely place - great proximity to Claisbrook Cove and surrounds. If you aren’t good with stairs it might be a challenge🙃
- Luke (10/5): beautifully designed and private - large bath, quiet and close to CBD
- marc (7/5): - Un peu loin des transports
- Stuber (8/5): Wellness is only wellness when done to all beings around you. - Jenny was very helpful when I needed an extra service for my last day. Thank you 😊 Most plants on the premise don't get the affection and attention they deserve. Ganesha spirit wants keepers that not only care for guests and clean rooms, but for caring of all living beings, including the plants inside the house, the balconies and the outside areas. And please don't replace all dead unwatered plants with plastic ones. Tell your staff to actually care for your plants as Ganesha's wisdom teaches us! Thank you 😊
- Greg (5/5): Would think twice before booking again Im afraid. - Under staffed, badly organised and mistaken initially for another client.
Room was not ready even though we were later than allotted check-in time.
Room was prepared in a hurry with the cleaning equipment still sitting in the hall way when we got back.
- Dipak Manohar (10/5): Good value for money - Very clean and tidy. Convenient location in Perth City Centre No private parking, being city parking, charges after 8am are expensive, hence one may end up leaving early in order to avoid paying high fees for parking..
- Lucya (8/5): -
- Mandy (8/5): -
- Janine (8/5): Did not receive a response from the owner till the last minute. As I was arriving from overseas this caused some anxiety - Very clean with comfortable bed. The staircase was very narrow which made it somewhat difficult to take the suitcase upstairs.
- Daniel (6/5): - Hi there I pard out the front and recover a parking fine! Room was small but tidy.
- Andre (9/5): -
- Jane (8/5): A lovely two nights - Nice open kitchen /lounge for use of all overnight guest
Good selection for a continental breakfast A little to far from centre but do able
- Meena (9/5): -
- Maree (9/5): - loverly staff very friendly we where happy with everything
- Jo (8/5): -
- Ellen (7/5): -
- Mark (9/5): Wonderful experience - It's all good Nothing
- Christine (7/5): Loved the location and surrounds. Studio was neat and tidy - Offering of breakfast was a great idea.
Location was excellent
The staff we met were wonderful Sound travelled very easily.
Would love to have used the spa facilities, however as we were they on a weekend, an additional cost was to be applied.
No discount offered to guests for spa treatments, as far as I could see.
- Paul (9/5): - We arrived late and left early .
Jenny had been thorough with instructions and it was clear to follow. Room was very clean comfortable and location, in regards to the bus depot was good.
- Wayne Harrington (7/5): - Great location. Great price. My stay coincided with an extremely hot day and night and my room was uncomfortably warm. I understand that the AC was set to 24 for all rooms, but this did little to get the temperature down.
- Maria (8/5): Comfortable stay with day spa just downstairs. - We had a massage at day spa first. Was lovely and quiet There where a lot of stairs
- Michael (8/5): -
- Melissa (8/5): Fantastic - a lovely place to stay The room was centralised aircon, so we couldnt adjust the temp to our liking.
- Isaac (8/5): -
- Melissa (3/5): Previously lovely, now disappointing. Would not recommend. - Location was convenient for East Perth venues.
Staff member was lovely but unsure of booking options - promptly checked what we were allowed in terms of breakfast. Have stayed multiple times prior to change of name and assumedly ownership. Previously a lovely spot. This time it was unclean, sand in bed, bed was lumpy, plants that were previously real are now plastic with plastic smell making some areas unusable. Unable to have privacy with balcony door open due to door configuration. Awkward bathroom and poor lighting. Would not recommend if you need to get ready for anything.
Minimal gf options in 'help yourself breakfast' fridge with what appeared to be previous guests out of date food. I don't have high expectations but previous owners had gf bread in the freezer and you fridge was clean enough to know what you could use. Kitchen was very unclean on arrival - single staff member attending to multiple people cleaned as soon as able.
So much more to mention that was below expectation for what was such a lovely place to stay, but honestly there were too many things to list, it's just not worth it.
- Jacob (10/5): - Lovely spacious room in good location Hard work carrying suitcases up the steps but other than that perfect
- Lisa (9/5): -
- Nicholas (10/5): -
- David (8/5): -
- Zara (1/5): -
- Ralph (7/5): - Bed n spa The stairs
- Juanita Koeijers (4/5): People living upstairs were up all night and very noisy, privacy was limited. - Close to river People living upstairs were up all night and very noisy, privacy was limited.
- Anne (6/5): - Comfy bed I wasn't given the arrival details and there is no lift to your 2 story room. I wish I had known this.
- Sonia (7/5): - The bed were two single beds together which I thought wasn’t really mentioned
- Julie (1/5): - Nothing I didnt like anything i couldnt even have a shower as no towel was provided.worst hotel experience ive ever had.smallest room ive had
- Jahtea (1/5): Ganesha spa - No extra charge for stay. Similar to the photo, not the same tho. light was on outside the room all night, we had a glass door and found it hard to sleep with that light on, cleanliness was alright, but I could see dust everywhere under the coushes as I walked in and half pie cleaning on the dresser lots of dust. There weren't curtains. And no air conditioning. Also was a switch that I was told to turn off. I was unaware that the kitchen was shared and found it less comfortable compared to past hotels/motels that I've stayed at due to these reasons. Bathroom was very small and hard to do your business in peace. I wouldn't want to stay here again.
- Kylie (7/5): -
- Sonia (10/5): - It was clean! No Fan in room! No cutlery in room! No Glasses in room
- Carolyn (4/5): Not somewhere that I could recommend despite the excellent location. - Fabulous location on a quiet street and a lovely large bed. It wasn’t very clean, the bathroom smelled of bad drains after using the shower, there were two flights of steep stairs to get to the bedroom, there was the noisiest plumbing system I’ve ever heard when other people were using the bathroom and there were lots of negative signs about what wasn’t allowed. Altogether a very negative vibe and we never met the host.
- Shankar (10/5): Excellent, Would recomend it to anyone - Location and cleanliness and the quality of the room and the interior None
- Trish (6/5): Unhappy stay - The location was great. Didn't like the fact staff unavailable other than by txt. The continental breakfast left a lot to be desired. Having to do the dishes for a service we paid for. Didn't like the fact there were so many conditions to losing the bond. Silly things like not turning the lights off was a $50 'fine'. Definitely won't be recommending.
- Dominic (10/5): 10/10 would recommend - Everything was absolutely great and felt at peace all the staff were so friendly and made me feel so welcome! Nothing it was spot on
- Tony (8/5): As indicated above from our comments, we were comfortable, but the stairs were a downer. - Separate bathroom and toilet, breakfast arrangement and position Due to our age we are in our 80s, we were very disappointed and declined 36 stairs every time we went out it was a pity because the accommodation and the position were excellent. That we will never come there again until you get a lift. The stairs were totally disappointing.
Fortunately, the person who checked this and was able to carry our suitcases up the stairs for us. We could never have done it ourselves. Interesting and there was no one in sight when we left so we had to slide our cases down the stairs one of the time.
I’m sorry for you. This will be a real downer for your business unless you address it.
- Sue (8/5): Clean, quiet and good location. - Flight was delayed. But was still able to have access after hours. Location was close to where I needed to be. Quiet area. Toilet door had big gaps. Enabling me to see through the door while within, and of course others to see in.
Would have liked a face washer and tissues.
- Timothy (9/5): -
- Veronica (10/5): Lovely relaxing ambience, great location, easy check in process 😊 - Proximity to East Perth bus station was my initial reason for booking this accommodation, an easy 15/20 min walk from the station. Very close to the Royal Street eateries, Optus Stadium and the Casino.
This is a gorgeous boutique hotel, with a lovely big kitchen area with all facilities to prepare your own food and communal dining and sitting rooms.
We look forward to visiting again 😍 Mainly the stairs, but packing better and lighter would solve the problem
- Escribano (4/5): -
- Sandra (7/5): - Located a short walk from the Swan River and many dining options.
- Yon (8/5): Did the job. Cheap and close to airport subway -
- Jayne (6/5): -
- Aden (1/5): Glad we didn’t have to stay there long - Waited outside for 2 hours to get in
- Grace (8/5): - Communication from the staff was excellent, the location is stunning, the little marina near the accommodation is simply magical and the walk around is so worth a look, we really enjoyed the massage deal and spa after our stay as well.
More of an air bnb style of place overall with great bed that is adjustable with use of a remote. Room and bath were a little smaller than expected, some furnishings need some maintenance but other than that perfect little stay
- Camila (3/5): Poor management and I almost lost my bond because of that. - Comfortable bed The manager requested a bond to access the property late at night. She couldn’t find the keys that I left on top of the mini fridge and she was aiming to not get my bond back.
I took pictures of the place that I left the keys and she told me it was the cleaners fault. Very poor management, very risky to stay in the accomodation and do not get bond back or having another issue.
- Adam Bilski (8/5): - Massage was 5star
- Rosalie (6/5): It was adequate for our needs. Had to call for instructions to get in no key lock info provided - We didn't have breakfast as we had a plane to catch. We felt the bed had already been slept in as sheets were a little rumpled and dirt specks on sheets. There was also left over food from previous occupants stay which was a day or so old so room not checked thoroughly
- Charlene (10/5): -
- Mary (1/5): -
- Wahl (10/5): -
- Sheila (9/5): -
- Royston (10/5): -
- Mark (9/5): I think we will stay another time - Didn't have break fast there but we were pleased how clean the property was
- Ku (8/5): It was a lovely stay, the staff were friendly and the beds were very cosy. - I loved the last room I used, it was spacious, the bathroom and toilet felt classy. The bed was large and comfy, with nice soft light lamps on the side. Very clean. First room: It wasn't the cleanest, the bed seemed like it was made in a rush, I did check in quite early so that may have been the reason...The bathroom wasn't very clean, there were some mold around the shower area and stains. The toilet wasn't cleaned properly, and inside the closet was a bit of a mess with hangers left all over the place (probably best to use new / same hangers rather than a bunch of different plastic ones).
Second room: Was great, there was a bit of an odd smell when I'd come into the room. And the only other thing I can think of would be the shower. Water would leak out onto the floor between the bottom of the glass door and floor. Also maybe having a little rubbish bin in the room would be handy ^^
In general I noticed the space wasn't very sound proof, and I could hear people walking across the hallway quite a bit. It would be nice to have a separate heating / cooling system rather than the central heating. The entrance to the guesthouse could be a little more welcoming I thought, the main entrance doesn't seem to feel like it was at the same quality as the rooms nor dining space. The entrance (the door you open in front of the staircase) looked and felt very old. I think first impressions are very important, and to be completely honest I thought it was an old motel that I walked into. Upstairs was fine, I think the entrance could be a little more elegant like the rest of the accommodation.
Lastly, an elevator would have really helped! climbing those stairs with my 40kg of luggage was tough especially all the way up to the top floor!
- Jimin (9/5): -
- Lana (6/5): -
- Laszlo (10/5): 8 hours of REM - The bed Lack of free of charge parking space
- Luke (10/5): - Beds are very comfy it was like sinking into a cloud , was able to book last minute , and the host was super polite :)
- Ivan (9/5): Decent - Managed our late check in and had a staff to tend to us. We checked in on a super rainy day and had some trouble initially. Had to flick open a latch on the front gate to enter the premise which we weren't aware of in the dark rainy evening All is good. Some stuff slightly dated but otherwise pretty ok
- Narinder (5/5): Ok - Locstion Sheets were not clean and there was weird smell in shower
- Brenton (8/5): Great stay without faults after a Minor hiccup which was promptly addressed by staff, I must say I will return - Adjustable and comfortable bed. Relaxing setting Close quarters rooms although neighbours weren’t really heard, and poor bathroom drainage (shower especially)
