Guest Reviews
- Kevin (10/5): - N/a
- Levi (10/5): - Staff were very welcoming, cabin was clean comfortable and well appointed with a lot of little thoughtful things, spa tub on side deck was amazing as was the view, hamper and little treats were delicious also.
Very relaxing trip
- Verified traveler (10/5): Only stay here if you want to be amazed!!! - This was a last minute booking for us and ended up being our favorite place of the entire trip. Incredible room, food, ambiance... Could not have asked for a better stay.
- Michael (4/5): Disappointed - I feel they have missed the mark on the design of the cottage. The layout doesn’t make sense. The bed doesn’t have a bed head or wall that the pillows can rest up against. When sitting at the couch you have slouch down to see the view, the steps down to the bed/bathroom area are dangerous as is the step down into the spa. The view in the spa was also obscured by the palm tree which was a shame since they had pruned some branches from the tree. The parking is also dangerous being so step, I the wet it became extremely slippery to get in and out of the car. I would not suggest these cottage to anyone older or with any kind of knee, hip, shoulder back injuries.
- Craig (10/5): - Great stay, highly recommend
- Trent (10/5): - A fantastic place to stay. We loved the brekkie pack. It was perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed.
Great views from the balcony lounge that was comfy.
A really well thought out set up.
- Jarrod (10/5): - We stayed in the studio treehouse. It was so secluded private and cozy. The view was breathtaking. We had the fire going and had multiple jacuzzi's, we will definitely be back
- Louise Jane (10/5): - What a fabulous couple of nights. Absolutely beautiful corner of the world. So close to Brisbane. So quiet. We will be back for sure.
- Lee (10/5): - Every thing was awesome for the wedding anniversary thank you
- David (10/5): - Lovely location with a balcony to sit and enjoy the view looking out over the trees.
- Tony (10/5): - Very quiet exactly what we were looking for.
- Clive (6/5): - Property was clean and well equipped.
Finding where to actually check in was difficult and time consuming. Once eventually located the lady at the office was very helpful.
More information needs to be made available as to where the office for checking in is located.
- Kiarra-Lee (10/5): - Such a beautiful spot! The view was amazing and it was close to a few good spots. Perfect for a little weekend in the mountains
- Martin (10/5): - Stunning views of the mountains right to the sea (Caloundra). We had a massage, on arrival, from the suggested service provider, who was on time and gave an amazing, relaxing experience to start our weekend escape. Everything you need is walking distance away, although the driveway is very steep, so we ended up driving to the top once or twice. Did I mention the views are stunning, nestled in the rainforest? There is a fireplace and spa, although we ended up running out of time for a spa, but the fireplace was going all weekend. Very romantic and serene experience. Would highly recommend. The price is worth it imho.
- Kerry (10/5): - .
- Barbara (10/5): - Gorgeous views, very quiet, clean cabin, easy check-in. Be aware that there is a big hill if you decide to walk to your dinner location that is not lit at night.
- Kayla (8/5): - Parking for a large car wasnt the greatest, was a tight fit and turning locations.
The spa inside didnt work.
- Sharon (4/5): - The spa was unsafe, very deep, slippy, only had 1 very small rail to aid in getting in & out. I slipped & hit my back on the inside arm panel which had me in pain for the two day we were there. If you wanted a shower then you had to get in & out of the slippy spa as there was no other option for bathing. There was a large sharp crack in a tile right next to the spa that one could cut themselves on. I noted these things to reception & they said sorry & would see what they could do about for me, I never heard anything after that for the time we were there & upon checkout. The bread that was for breakfast was store bought bread not freshly baked bread, that was disappointing. The fry pan was rusty & the coffee machine dirty & only 4 coffee pods for the two days & 1 was broken open. Apart from that the view was lovely, furniture & bed comfy, enough wood on the deck for the 2 days, staff that we encountered were friendly. Will not go back there, poor experience for the dollars spent.
- Karen (10/5): - Fantastic getaway in the treetops at Montville. The view was amazing out to the coast especially from the spa and toilet! Close to all shops and dining spots. Very comfortable accommodation with great breakfast provisions and bedding. Everything that you need for preparing meals is provided in the kitchen..just bring supplies. We had cool nights and it was so cosy having the twoway fireplace wirh wood provided. Loved our stay and we will be back.
- Kimberly (10/5): - We came here for my husbands 40th and wow, the view was absolutely breath taking. The room was clean, private and just an all round incredible stay. My only regret was not staying for 2 nights!
- Anita (2/5): - Great location and view but the one I stayed in is unsafe and shouldn’t be allowing people to stay.I don’t often complain but I could say a lot but safety is a big concern.
- Jarod (10/5): - Superb all round. Nothing to complain about. Highly recommend and we will be back
- Jessica (8/5): - Lots of cobwebs hanging down from the ceiling and TVs were very dusty.
More towels should be supplied when you are having multiple showers and baths.
Heated towel rack would be very beneficial.
Fresh bread and pastries in the breakfast hamper would have been nice for the amount you pay.
Other than those things the cabin was beautiful and quiet with epic scenery. Kitchen well equipped with what we needed. We had a lovely time.
- Gary (8/5): - Great view and verandah to relax. Convenient walk to the main shops and cafes.
- Jono (8/5): - A bit unsafe to get in & out if spa bath.
- Paul (10/5): - We stayed in the studio cabin, awesome views and very private would recommend
- Gabriel (10/5): - Awesome view and a great place to stay to relax and have some peace and quiet.
- Bruce (10/5): - Outstanding location and everything was perfect for a romantic overnight. Couldn’t fault our experience from start to finish.
- Nicole (10/5): - Gorgeous place to stay! Highly recommend.
- Nicole (10/5): Dundeeandco in the trees - Amazing experience even with the rain. Comfortable and well equipped cabin complete with spa bath and log fire. Great breakfast pack. Checking in was seemless and was the perfect start to a wonderful experience.
- adrian (10/5): - Just perfect
- Jessie (10/5): - Stunning views and cabin. Beautiful breakfast that was included and everything was nice and clean. Definitely would stay again
- Elizabeth (8/5): - Lovely rooms clean and nice views. More local info re restaurants and options would have been good. Overall would recommend
- woo suk (10/5): Good!!! - It was amazing time. Everything is new and clean in the room. It is really good location.
- Bridget (10/5): - Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. The breakfast hamper provided was more than enough for 2 people. The room was very comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing stay. 😀
- Anthony (8/5): - It’s lovely. But bed could be bigger and shower/spa needs more safety handles.
- Michelle (10/5): Best place for couples and no kids! - perfect for a couples retreat. beautiful views of rainforest, you feel secluded but close to shops for convenience. Absolutely didn't want to leave this place we stayed 5 nights. highly recommended and will be back
- Jessica (10/5): - Beautiful place to stay! Amazing view
- Rowan V (10/5): Simply bliss - What a fabulous stay we had. So tranquil and comfortable . Loved the setting , facilities and breakfast left for us to cook in the morning . Highly recommend a stay here . Thank you so much 😀😀
- Darren (10/5): - My partner and I enjoyed our stay at Treetops Seaview Montville immensely. We enjoyed the secluded environment and the close proximity to various dining opportunities. Would recommend this to anyone.
- Brian (10/5): - It was great will be back
- Peter (10/5): - A beautiful spot to escape the rat race.
- Danica (10/5): - We had a great stay at TreeTops, room was beautiful and clean, staff were very helpful and Montville was a great little town to explore.
- Vivien (8/5): - A spectacular view from our cabin. Plentiful breakfast basket and a nespresso capsule coffee machine
There really isn't a kitchen though. Just a portable plug in stove top which was in the cupboard and an electric frypan. I used that for making breakfast as it was easier. Good quality toaster and kettle and nice teas. Also no drawers for clothing or personal things but there was a small rack to hang up jackets etc. We lived out of our suitcase. Mentioning too that although the bath was lovely, getting in and out was very difficult. Probably needs a handle abive the bath. The handle on the end was a bit too far from the actual bath, which was a sunken style. Just wanted people to know who have some mobility issues like myself. We did enjoy the nature around us and the fire as it was mid-winter when we went
- Jenny (10/5): - Views
- Mitchell (8/5): - Photos shown were from most expensive room and not the one advertised for that price. Too many lines in the ceiling . Design idea ripped off from a barn. No panda :(
- Kimberley (10/5): - Beautiful spot to spend a few days with my husband! The studio had the most incredible views. A lovely stay. Highly recommend.
- Neil (8/5): - Great getaway place
- Peter (10/5): - We loved how convenient it was to Montville and our reception. It was also equipped with a yummy breakfast to enjoy the local produce. Would definitely return.
- Patricia (10/5): - The peace and quiet was a plus, plenty of areas to visit in a short distance. Liked my stay very much.
- Shannon (10/5): - The view
- Graham (4/5): - The sunken spa bath with a huge step down from floor level made use of shower impossible , a recipe for a broken leg or hip . Cabin was dark and need a good clean ,window adjacent to kitchen table filthy . Electric frying pan was a cheapie long past its use by date and heat control made even doing bacon & eggs impossible .Monster day bed on patio had no back rest to sit and admire a spectacular view blocked by foliage .It would have been nice to get some butter to go with the toast and some instant coffee rather than a selection of mint tea bags . Price paid does not reflect value , totally disappointing
- Julie (8/5): - The view was amazing the tree house was nice clean and tidy
- samantha (10/5): - Absolutely stunning place to unwind and relax
- Damien (10/5): - We stayed in the Eagle Seaview room. The room is spacious and it feels like you're staying in a treehouse. Surrounded by trees with a wonderful view over countryside stretching out to the coast.
- Brooke (10/5): - It was beautiful & serene, the tree house was amazing, just what we wanted for our wedding anniversary, the only negative was the coffee machine leeked water & we had an issue locking the door to the cabin but finally worked it out, we would definetly stay again but maybe in a cabin closer to entrance & higher up
- Verified traveler (10/5): Highly Recommend! - A great little getaway. Beautiful views in a stunning location.
- Sandy (10/5): - Awesome little cottage with a beautiful view with a fireplace and 2 person spa, loved it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Fantastic stay with a breath taking view from the spa to the balcony sea view and coast line, loved it!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Gorgeous spot, friendly staff that have thought of it all.
Delicious cook our own breakfast with lots or choice and some ingredients sourced locally.
The fire was a high treat on a winter's night and wrapped in a dressing gown.
Would recommend!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely clean, excellent views, nice breakfast basket
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Privacy.Cleanliness.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Cannot fault this place, views where amazing, cabin was amazing. Highly recommend
- Jaime (10/5): Lovely Stay - Lovely stay.
They provide a tasty fruit platter on arrival and baskets of breakfast for each day. Think bread, bacon/sausage, juice, muesli, milk, eggs. You just have to make it yourself in the kitchenette. The fridge is a good size so you can stock up a little for your stay.
Water pressure is quite low so it takes a while to fill the tub. I only had a bath once due to that. Showers weren't amazing due to the pressure.
It was pretty dusty inside.
The fireplace comes fully stocked. There is also an air con that can heat. It seemed well insulated.
The bed is quite firm, so may not be to everyone's taste. We liked it though.
The view was to die for. Simply beautiful.
The hill up to the walk to town is quite steep, I was grateful to be in the nearest cabin.
Staff members are courteous and friendly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great quiet getaway close to the main street of Montville. Great place to relax and enjoy the view.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Cosiness of the room! Brilliant wood burning fireplace. Lovely balcony with views out to the ocean. Double spa. Comfy bed. Awesome breakfast hamper 😁
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Where to start! The villas are absolutely beautiful! Montville it’s self is such a lovley little town! With so much to do the views from your room are amazing
We will be back in winter
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We loved our stay here... Location is perfect being right in the middle of town but so secluded you wouldn't even know it. It's peaceful quiet and relaxing, the bed was very comfortable and having the hottub in the open space felt inviting. Only things I would do to improve... Trim the treeline down abit to be able to see the full view from the hottub and have one of the two tvs be also viewable from the hottub.. other than that we would definately come back 😍
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Had a great time, the spa was great, clean facilities, plenty of fridge space, bed was clean and comfortable. Only things I would improve is placement of one of the two tvs to be able to view it from the spa and bringing the tree line down a little to be able to enjoy more of the view, other than that everything else was perfect 😊
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful location... the trees needed a trim as they were starting to block the view which is what we were after... the shower was in the spa, I had my elderly mother with me and it was difficult for her to get in and out...
Comfortable chairs out on the deck would be nice too... the table and chair that are there are the solid metal 1s...
Check in was quick and easy and there are plenty of food options close by...
- Verified traveler (10/5): - nestled in the trees on the mountainside. Quiet and remote yet still in the middle of town. Ideal
- Stuart (10/5): - Had a very relaxing stay at the Hilltops. Would definitely book again for a time out break.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We loved the basket of breakfast, it had everything we needed for 2 days
- Helen (10/5): - Really loved the privacy and serenity of the place. It was charming and very comfortable. Bed was amazingly comfy! Sitting outside with wine taking the view in and the visits from the resident kookaburra were lovely! So was huge. Breaky and fruit platter were great. Great location - good pub across the road. Want to stay in eagle next time! ❤️
- Dario (8/5): - Love the fireplace and the view, very relaxing stay cheers
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Such an amazing stay, absolutely beautiful place and so peaceful. Only thing I would suggest is we were given 1 towel for the entire weekend.. and when I tried to call reception both days they didn’t answer. For the price you pay, you would think they may give you a few more towels.
Other than that, amazing!
- Jodie (10/5): - Loved the fact it was secluded and enough room between the cabins so didn’t see your neighbours. The view was also amazing from the cabin.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful location, right in town but amongst the trees so felt like you were tucked away in the treetops. Lovely break, will be back again
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The cabin was a glorified tin shed. The cleaning chemical was that strong that my wife couldn’t tolerate it, we couldn’t stay. It wasn’t worth the cost.
- GARL (8/5): - Stay was cool and comfortable but the fittings and floor was a bit wear off which will be good if they can repair them as the water stained the timber causing it to grow some mould on it. the view was nice was we faced the landscape making the stay real relaxing and refreshing. breakfast basket was given the day you check in and you can cook it with the kitchen but remember to wash it and place them back to the original position after using.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Fantastic tranquil getaway spot. Steep driveway down, so go slow! But it really makes you feel special and secluded from the outside world.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The spa was beautiful, such a relaxing place with amazing views. Cute little hamper on arrival.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful view with a relaxing ambiance, The hard bed and the 'scratchy' bathrobes detracted from the comfort and relaxation of the experience.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It is wrong to advertise it with KITCHEN when it clearly is kitchenette! This needs to be changed! Otherwise a nice place with good service.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Privacy, scenery. Atmosphere, breakfasts with fruit platter. The only thing was the pressure on the shower could have been a bit more strong.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly staff. Delicious fruit platter and breakfast basket! Fabulous view! Enjoyed the fireplace and spa tub!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The cabin is quite nice and all the facilities are great! Stunning view from the room and the terrace. Great breakfast every morning and very lovely staff! Strongly recommend for a weekend getaway!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The view from this place was really good, we could see all the way to the ocean. The apartment kitchen had everything you could need and the amount of food provided for breakfast was heaps. The apartment is getting a little tired but still a great place to stay!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property is in a rustic environment.
The drive in is very steep and to park is challenging.
Steep walk and steps to the front door.
Inside is open plan, but 2 levels.
3 steps with no handrail to sleeping section.
There's a sunken spa bath in this area with one handrail.
Overall we enjoyed our stay but I felt nervous because of the risk of falling.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We had a great stay for our honeymoon. Very friendly service and the rooms were fantastic. Will stay again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Stayed for the views which are amazing. Bed was a little hard for our liking. Fruit platter and beaky provided are a nice touch.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Little slice of heaven. 2 nights wasn’t enough. Montville is a beautiful little place and the fireplace and spa were so nice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - loved the view from the rooms, the breakfast provided is wonderful, really enjoyed our stay.
- David (10/5): Great place to get away from it all - We were looking for a couple of nights to get away and relax. The views and fire were the highlights. Sunken bath/shower and steps down to, and within, cabin so not ideal for those with walking restrictions.
- Timothy (10/5): Romantic Getaway - We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and it exceeded all our expectations. We were provided with a delicious breakfast basket to cook ourselves and a fresh fruit platter and found chilled champagne glasses in the fridge. The room was clean and the views spectacular. There was plenty of firewood provided and the spa bath was perfect with privacy from other treehouses and views out to the ocean. Each treehouse is secluded and very peaceful. Easy walking distance to local shops and restaurants. Perfect place for a romantic getaway and we would love to return.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful view. Breakfast hampers supplied were great!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great spot just hard to find initially. Even the rooms arnt marked clearly but once there all was good
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This property was exactly as it was pictured. We had a lovely time.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Relaxing few days - Just spent a couple of relaxing days at Treetops - so peaceful & quiet surrounded by trees & birds but still walking distance to the village. Everything supplied from firewood to a lovely breakfast basket some of which was ready to cook for ourselves. The ladies at Reception were so friendly & made us feel very welcome.
The only small issue is that parking for a large vehicle can be difficult but space outside on the street is available.
We hope to return again soon..
- Elizabeth (10/5): Happy to have been there - I had an amazing time at Montville. All the locals are friendly and helpful. Everything is in walking distance of the Treetops Seaview. The cabins are private, comfortable and well appointed. My partner and I had a ball there
