Good starting point for toors to the islands. Very friendly staff as well! We got fresh towels, coffee and tips almost every day. The bathroomfloor does get wet when showering thats true, but its dry pretty fast as well. Not so bad.

The air conditioning clearly wasn’t working in our room , just blowing hot air. I informed receptionist who came up and insisted that it was ok. Eventually she agreed and tried to install us in three other rooms with the same problem. Reluctantly they eventually gave us a refund and we went to another hotel.

• Keiron (9/5): Fantastic Hotel Considering the Cheap Price - A very nice hotel in the centre of My tho. The building is very recognisable so you will have no struggles finding it. The rooms themselves are clean, minus a small amount of dust on the floor corners. The beds are extremely comfortable and the bathroom is huge considering the very cheap price. The drainage for the bathtub in our room was broken, with the pipe disconnected from the literal hole in the ground. This meant that showers were perfectly fine to have but having a bath is only great until you begin to drain the water, as about half the tub ends up all over the floor, essentially creating a small lake. Luckily there was a proper drain in the opposite corner of the room, as if they already knew about this drainage issue.

Concernant la chambre, elle semblait relativement propre, hors beaucoup de fourmis et une bouilloire moisie... Seul la vue était belle sur le mekong mais très bruyante dès 4h00 du matin... Pour finir, impossible d'obtenir deux tickets de bus à moins de 600 000 dongs (!) alors que le prix du trajet My Toh / Ho chi Minh taxi+bus est à 240 000 dongs. On s'est donc débrouillé nous même. Merci à Hotel.com de vérifier vos partenariats, nous attendons un remboursement de la réservation initiale. Bref à éviter !

Floding in bathroom after shower. Wifi on/ off in room. Some noice from the street at late night and early morning. Worth the 500.000 vdn (50$). Take room without breakfast. Not worth it and its in another place 5 min walk. Look under " things to do" were I give some advice re My Thy.

The tour to the Mekong we got through the hotel was excellent. I didn't visit the city while in My Tho so I couldn't say if the location was convenient or not.

Mr. Truc, a man you can rely on, will offer to help you in any way. He showed us a way off the beaten track...really worth every dong spent. We had two awsome days in My Tho!

• 989dl (10/5): If you stay in My Tho this is a good option. - What other reviews say about the Song Tien Annex is accurate in terms of the noise and such but if you stay in My Tho you can expect to have significant noise regardless of where you stay. What I will say is that the service here was outstanding. I stayed at this hotel for almost 2 weeks and became ill for a few days during my stay. The hotel staff brought me soup and checked in on me. The security guard made sure I was ok when I was finally able to venture out for coffee. They greeted me everyday with a smile and the staff spoke very good English. There is a nice balcony you can sit and watch the Mekong river traffic. No, it is not a 5 star hotel but if you find yourself in My Tho it is a clean, safe hotel and appeared to be the better option of the 2 Song Tien hotels.
• MegGeb17 (8/5): Stayed 1 night before heading further into MeKong Delta - We stayed here one night on our way further into the MeKong Delta. The hotel room was clean and big and the beds were comfy! a great place for a night or two! We found there was not much else to do in My Tho but the hotel arranged a river tour for us during the day which was pleasant. Make sure to collect your breakfast vouchers from reception when you arrive, unfortunately we weren't given ours and only told at check out that it was included in the price.
• 730danp (6/5): Does the job - Comfortable stay with views of the Mekong. Street karaoke very loud and terrible quality so wear earplugs or have a scotch before bed to get through it. If putting in laundry expect to swap underwear with other guests. Very few complaints for a place costing $10usd a night
• Susan (4/5): My Tho was a disappointment - Thought My Tho would be a good introduction to Mekong Delta, but it was a disappointment really. Very shabby town and hotel was also shabby. Room was clean but very basic. Days begin early and noise woke us at 4.30am. Bed linen & towels in hotel were very thin. Staff spoke very little English but tried to be helpful. Other travellers we met were equally disappointed. We took a boat trip to other islands -ok but routine tourist stops that weren't very interesting.
• deanblb (2/5): Best to avoid - Sadly this is the first terrible rating that I have given. The problem was I booked through Expedia and when I got to the hotel they said they had no booking and despite showing them the confirmation email from Expedia they would not accept it. I had to pay for the room in cash. An hour later the guy on reception came up with the Expedia booking and my passport and said he would refund me the cash I had paid. When I went back to reception he refused to refund the cash even though the Expedia booking clearly stated prepaid. His English also got a lot worse from when I entered the hotel. The room itself was very smart with nice furnishings, wooden flooring. The air conditioning in the room did not work. The room was also very noisy with load karaoke next door and instant road and boat traffic noise throughout the night. Definitely need to use earplugs I f staying here. My recommendation is to avoid this hotel and if you do want to stay here do not pre book.
• SevenSeasTraveller (8/5): Good location, great rooms - The hotel is centrally located close to the central area where you can catch a boat tour to the floating markets. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom has a bathtub that is not really suitable for showering. To avoid that the entire bathroom gets wet it is suggested that at least a shower curtain is installed. In our room hot water did not work and could not be fixed immediately. A change of room was suggested. Breakfast is provided in the main building which is approximately 300 meters away. The breakfast itself is not really worth the effort of the walk with a very limited a la carte offer. Due to the proximity to the river the early morning activities of boats and cars might disturb guest with a light sleep. Helpful and efficient front office staff
• hashihime (8/5): Really nice, if you don't expect 4 or 5 star hotel - I was here with a group and stayed two weeks. My roommate and I changed rooms three times; first door didn't lock, second, toilet was clogged. And yes, you may see a roach or two. [I've seen them in nice hotels in Honolulu.] WIFI could be slow in the evening. But, I really enjoyed the hotel. The rooms are spacious; it's nice having a bathtub. Good air-conditioning The views of the river were great. We had b'fast on the rooftop area every day and several special ordered I think, meals. Had the best soup ever there for a dinner. The staff is very accommodating. A short walk to the night market, the regular market, the boat docks.
• CRHabitat (8/5): A very happy and comfortable 11 day stay - I was traveling with a group and we all had a lovely stay. The guestrooms are simple but I loved the hardwood floors vs. carpeting. The rooms were bright and happy. The bed linens were clean but old. The bathroom was a bit challenging; a lovely claw foot tub with a broken foot and no shower curtain and the bathroom door did not fully close. Toilet paper is scarce, and it is advised against putting it in the toilet. It seemed as though were were at the front desk every morning for another roll! and the front desk staff was always lovely and accommodating. The air conditioning worked well. We never turned on the TV but the wifi worked very well. We did have a few little crawly visitors in the bathroom (not a huge deal) and some tiny geckos every once in a while. All of these things could be overlooked as the staff was very pleasant. We ate breakfast as a group each morning on the 6th floor rooptop with lovely views of the river and the city. The breakfasts were hearty and delicious and the coffee was good. We also had some dinners at the hotel and they were very good. The hotels overlooks the river which is quite dirty but just seeing the water and the lovely buildings made us happy. The location was great. We could walk to the market, get delicious street food at any time of day and walk to other sights. I took a cab from the hotel to the Catholic Church for Sunday mass and the cab fare was .79 (yes, under $1.00 USD). There is a lovely man who can be found in the hotel area who will give city tours or take you anywhere in his rickshaw. So much fun! He has been in the city for 40 years and can give a wonderful tour. All in all - we loved the hotel.

Could use this space to serve breakfast instead of sending us to sister hotel's big empty no thrills restaurant. Big large room and bathroom but all a bit dated. Stayed 2 nights. Location is good.

In the area during darker hours, there's rats & cockroaches everywhere & the vietnamese people in My Tho are mainly quite racist... Do NOT go there unless you wanna waste money!

• Shorky123 (8/5): Good budget hotel fantastic views - Bear in mind that this is a budget hotel and you will be very happy with it. The views of the river and the market from the balcony are very good. The staff are very friendly and as helpful as they could be but they spoke no English and certainly were not as helpful as in other budget hotels we stayed in. Service is not their strongest point, but if you can cope with that you will still find it a good hotel to stay in. We were there on the lead up to TET (new year) and the street noise was loud - non stop music, market throng etc, but that might have been because of TET. The location and the view ( and frankly the cost) made up for its "blind spots"! Worth considering.
• V3045ADmichaelk (8/5): I will stay again - This is a great budget hotel. The staff are great and helpful. They don't have safes in the rooms so you can leave valuables for short periods at the front desk (like a laptop) if you're going out of the hotel. We stayed in the Superior Double Room and it was huge. For the price charged a very real bargain. Standard were the bed (nice mattress though), tv, and standard furniture. Also was a desk and chairs, two bedside tables, plenty of working plugs for recharging the phones and laptop, new and clean bar fridge. Most surprising was the bathroom. Huge by vietnamese standards. Tiled throughout. Western styled, marble style counter and counter top. Water efficient toilet. New faucets and fixtures, clean throughout, hotel supplied shampoos, toothbrush, and other items in Song Tien red and white boxes. Laminate floors throughout the room. The only negative comment I have is the front door. The frame and deadbolts are obviously damaged from attempts by people to break in. The entrance to the room is on the 5th floor, the access to the 5th floor is through the lobby so security must be lacking sometimes. They have a complimentary breakfast at the Song Tien Restaurant. It is a great breakfast.
• a2taggart (8/5): Comfortable; Central Location - This hotel is located near a branch of the Mekong River and a tributary. Access to rooms is via outside walkway, from which is a nice view of the busy and interesting river. I stayed here for 10 days. The room was clean; the A/c worked great. The bed was comfortable. The bath was kind of fancy: claw-foot tub, marble counter, ceramic tile floor and walls. Modern. Somewhat iffy internet connection. I did not notice a lot of noise, as we were on the fifth floor. We had breakfast on the roof-top verand, watching the sun rise. Nice. I would be happy to stay here again, if I was fortunate enough to find myself in My Tho again.
• 331jeffreyt (8/5): Comfortable; Central Location - This is a six-story building overlooking a branch of the Mekong River and a tributary. Access is from outside walkways, from which there are very nice views of the river, which is interesting and busy. I stayed here for 10 nights. The bed was comfortable. The bath was sort of fancy: claw-foot tub, marble counter, ceramic tile walls and floor. The A/C was excellent. Very inexpensive and good laundry service. Clean. Modern. We ate breakfasts on the veranda at the top floor and watched the sun rise. Nice. I would stay here again, if I were fortunate enough to find myself in My Tho.
• 232CathyB (8/5): Decent and comfortable - Our Global Village (Habitat for Humanity) group stayed here for several days. Our room and the beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. It was nice to have wifi, although it was a bit flaky. We enjoyed the view of the waterfront; also included with the view is street noise. We had breakfast and lunch in the rooftop restaurant space and sometimes hung out there in the evening. However, this is NOT an active restaurant for the general public; it was something arranged for our group. Be advised that if you leave laundry to be washed, you will get it back 2 days later, so plan accordingly. The people at the desk are nice. They do not speak much English.
• AnnaE85 (6/5): Average stay - Rooms are clean. Just got a visit from some friendly coak roaches in the bath room. Shower was above the bad and the bad did not stand stable on the floor, so that was a bit tricky. When we left the room, we figured that the lock was broken, but we were immediately moved to another room, so that was good service. What we disliked, was the way the tried to overcharge us for the water in the minibar; it was twice as much as in other hotels. Prices are not mentioned on the minibar / in the room.
