Guest Reviews
- Warwick (8/5): - Evidently they are refurbishing the motel units. We had one that has yet to be refurbished. It was a bit tired. On the positive side it was largish unit so plenty of room to accommodate our gear. Comfortable large bed
- michelle (8/5): - Clean, quiet and being updated. BBQ area needs to be hosed down but like the availability of utensils.
Security gate easy to use at night. Staff all friendly and welcoming.
- Lori (6/5): - Room was OK. Lights outside were left on all night created sleepless night. Gardens or yards need work to make more pleasing to stay outside.
- Catherine (6/5): - Staff were lovely. The room smelled a little funky and the door was difficult to figure out how to lock. There were gates that locked at night to keep the vehicles safe. Reasonable for the price we paid.
- Turg (2/5): - Dirty rooms, uncomfortable beds, tiny bathroom with terrible configuration....
- Pam (6/5): - Property absolutely needs gardens attended too, pool had dirt & many leaves in it, pool vacuum left in pool not working, property generally need painting.
- Steven (6/5): - Not so good. Dirty outside the room. Noisy in the evening...
- kiyomi (4/5): - Disappointed in other guest, as there were a number of rooms around me booked together. Adults drinking alcohol i can deal with but screaming kids and drinkers coming back after pubs closed talking loud and not having any respect for travellers passing through. Unrestful night and only had a few hours sleep because of noise. I woke up at 4am to drive to Alice. Very tired! Quiet time needs to monitored.
I have stayed here before and never had a problem hope this was a one off.
- AGRIPINO (8/5): - Young kids running around hotel premises. Not a good thing to see.
- Heather (2/5): - Felt unsafe, outside was unclean, untidy, uncared for. The room itself was reasonably clean but towels smelt as though they had been washed with greasy stuff (that slightly unclean smell). Despite requesting a room away from the road (because i was concerned about our safety and safety for our car) on checkin I had to ask for another room further in the property . Fridge was on but does not cool. Luckily we had our car fridge because you could not put anything in that room fridge. Door looked like it had been attempted to be forced. All sorts of signs about noise, security, cleaning the toilet. We are from Darwin, so we know what that means.
- Maxamilian (10/5): - I enjoyed my stay
- Glen (6/5): - Office only open 8am - 5pm, which is inconvenient.
- Keith (8/5): - All good, very simplistic but clean. Reception lady was excellent very helpful.
- Heather (4/5): - The first thing when I walked in was the cool air-con ✅
When I walked in the bathroom area, I was met with a shower curtain that was slung up on the rail & the filthy button of it hit me in the face. Bio carb sofa & vintage in a bucket would clean it.
For the price $112 it was acceptable. Clean bed that was the main thing.
- Craig (6/5): - Bit run down
- Andrew (8/5): - Close to town, closed gate The best breakfast, dining room and service in the WORLD. suspect the dining will be just as fine in the evening. Already booked for return journey.
- Clarissa (10/5): - This place was a good spot to stay,☺️ it was close to everything like a shopping centre etc. During night time, gate was shut for the safety for their guest, and All staff are very friendly❤️
- Rebecca (8/5): - I think the actual room should be renovated to a better standard as my room was not at a good standard. No iron or ironing board. No where to put your clothes
- Harold (10/5): - A great stay while in Katherine overnight. Great staff support, good food in restaurant, and on-site laundry helpful. Would recommend this location to others.
- kiyomi (10/5): - Roxanne was great, she easily changed our room as there was a slight problem. Very friendly and helpful.
- Noleen (8/5): - Peace and quiet and comfort room and bed home away from home
- Glenn (8/5): - Will always recommend the Beagle Hotel.
Clean rooms, friendly helpful staff
The restaurant was operating this visit and the breakfast and dinner menu was excellent
- Rodney (10/5): - Cleaness
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Room was smelly. Never saw a person at reception so there was no service. Thankfully restaurant staff helped us get in. Very poor value for money. I wish we had camped.
- Stephen (10/5): - Clean and tidy.
- Lisa (10/5): - Nothing not to like.
- Peter (10/5): - The staff were amazing and the dining room food was excellent
- Len (8/5): - Staff were very good & most helpful, Room was very clean and recently re-furnished.Dining was very good. Simple menu with food first class
- ofer (10/5): - Breakfast and dinner were very good
- Steven (10/5): - Staff fantastic - quiet/secure location
- William (8/5): - The four people in our party were quite comfortable in the Unit. The bathroom was a little narrow and privacy due to the sliding door was an issue for women.
- Kendra (4/5): - Pros: The restaurant staff were great, and the breakfast included with the room was a big, tasty cooked breakfast and tea / good quality coffee. The pool looked new and was clean. Very comfortable bed.
Cons: the standard Queen room we stayed in was a bit dirty and run down. The bathroom basin was tiny and barely usable. It was difficult to wash your face or brush your teeth in it because of how small it was. The communal terrace area outside the rooms was dirty and dusty.
On the morning of check out, there was a loud knock on our door 5 minutes before check out time. The staff member at the door asked us whether we were getting ready to check out, which we were. We found that a bit odd as it made us feel rushed and unwelcome, and left us both feeling less positive about our stay.
- Robyn (6/5): - It was an older room, in need of an update. Only the bare minimum was supplied ie one shampoo, 2 cups, no other dishes. The bedsheets did not feel fresh and crisp, and were greying in colour. We reported a loose toilet seat, but it was left unattended. The provided breakfast was overcooked and greasy, so we only had it once in a three day stay. The best thing about the place was the king size bed, and the room was relatively spacious.
- peter (10/5): - Great little motel, wonderful staff so friendly and helpful. Was amazing having breakfast included. Very comfortable would definitely stay here again no doubts. Highly recommend this place.
- Brian (10/5): - Good value. friendly staff, good location.
- Peter (6/5): - Some rooms need make over freshen up.
- Stuart (8/5): - Property was good breakfast was great dinner was below average for the price $71 for a very average pizza and bangers and mash was below average with 1 and a half sausages! Would stay again but not eat dinner there
- Marion (2/5): - Secure parking with gate closed at night was the best. Security guard hit his dog, food was terrible (“Barramundi”). No bed side tables, bathroom too small , vanity, shower.
- Tony (6/5): - The staff were helpful and the food good The room was a bit tired.
- Tony (8/5): - Easy stay, good food
- Christopher (8/5): - Good stay
- Rosemary (8/5): - It was a good sized room and neat, clean bathroom. The fridge was also a decent size.
- Marcelle (8/5): - Clean and comfortable and quiet
- Digby (6/5): - Quite okay for one night, small rooms run down appearance. Friendly staff and good meals, great location.
- John (10/5): - Exceptional property & location
- Daisy (10/5): - Rooms are normal motel rooms. But I really like the made-to-order breakfast option which was included in the room rate. We had dinner there one night and the food was superb, esp the steak.
- mark (8/5): - Property needs some TLC
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The food in the restaurant was excellent and the staff were very pleasant, but there was no hot water in the room and a cold shower was not pleasant! For the price we paid,i would expect the room to have hot water!!!
- William (10/5): - Friendly staff, good location and a good pub restaurant.
- John (10/5): - Good location away from the main h
- Mary (10/5): - Clean comfortable rooms, delicious meals, bar, great personalized service! This motel provides excellence in a town which offers few other options.
- Hugh (6/5): Basic place to stay - Friendly staff. The room was functional and very basic. It was clean and everything worked.
- Chris (8/5): - good location & nice breakfast inclusion.
Secure parking
- LESLIE (10/5): - Nice and quiet. Lovely surrounds and the pool was very nice. A great place to stay excellent rooms and safe.
- Karlene (8/5): - Room was very basic
- Craig (10/5): - The full breakfast menu was included. It was decent.
The shower pressure was very low.
- Michael (10/5): - Meals & staff were top notch. A great place to stay in Katherine.
- Greta (10/5): - The owners and staff were very accommodating and friendly, really enjoyed our stay.
- Margaret (8/5): - Pleasant airy rooms and helpful staff
- Ian (6/5): - Dining room was recommended for dinner. Nothing special.
Initially wrong order presented.
Swimming pool was not pleasant to sit next to.
- Karen (4/5): - The room was freezing during the night with no blankets. Underequipped for comfort and it was not pleasant. Breakfast was ok.
- Jonathan (8/5): - Wonderful staff. Excellent dinner.
- Jennifer (8/5): Quiet and comfortable - Quiet, secure and comfortable as a budget hotel - although being Katherine the charges are not budget.
- Kaylene (8/5): - Well located, away from main street. Security gated, & a guard on patrol at night. The laundry facility was a welcome bonus. Our group of 4x couples was disappointed in the offerings in the dining room. Wine & beer option were woeful (even by outback standards), & consumption of alcohol from outside sources was not permitted.
- Elizabeth (8/5): - We liked the quiet property, the easy-going staff, their willingness to help when we asked for anything.
We think the property needs a revamp and more towels given on arrival.
- Tristan (6/5): Needs an update - 3 star hotel, bbq area needs an update.
Security man & dog protect the property at night. Central location.
- Edward (6/5): - Not a bad location and had security gates.
- Cameron (10/5): - Clean, quiet & excellent hospitality!
- Peter (10/5): - Nice rooms easy to find friendly staff
- David (8/5): - Basic but fine
- Doug (2/5): - I hated it from the moment I arrived. Guests were noisy and drinking until 2am. Extremely expensive for the room I got.
- Marilei (10/5): - Great service
- Frank (8/5): - Staying at this property supports the local Indigenous community - if you want to spend your money ethically.
- Zoe (4/5): - the first room we were put was not serviced so had to say something to reception who moved us to another room. in this room toilet was continuously running and shower head was broken
- Nick (8/5): - Friendly Staff.
- Darren (8/5): - Good Value and large rooms
- Gary (8/5): - Excellent reception staff
- Gary (8/5): - Great food! Fun to feed the animals
- Alison (8/5): - Nice enough . Didnt seem to be realy clean. Few broken room items. Pool cleaner lives in the pool permanently.
Front of house staff great.
- Alister (6/5): - Very ordinary property, nothing positive of note and the few, mundane negatives, like maintenance, could be easily fixed, but they choose not to. Almost good value for money, but a bit more expensive than necessary.
- Cheryl (8/5): - Pool was good
- Josephine (6/5): - The motel was what we expected from an outback motel. Ok to stay to break the journey, pool refreshing.
- Simon (8/5): - Staff very lovely
- JULIE-ANNE (8/5): - Good for an overnight stop in katherine. Lovely dining area. Comfortable beds.
- Laura (8/5): - Quiet as it was away from the Main Street but still close to everything. Clean and quiet - only issue we had was we were only advised after we arrived that the restaurant and bar would not be open that night (Sunday)
- Howard (8/5): - Comfortable
- Karen (6/5): - Great location, convenient to town centre and no traffic noise. However, shower had broken tiles, broken towel rail and hot water was random. No meals on a Sunday so need to be aware of that. Other than that, we had a lovely stay and would return.
- Ali (8/5): - Clean. Basic but sufficient.
- Cathy (4/5): - We had no electricity in our room on day of departure- no apology or retribution given. Also no hot water.
- Ban Keat (6/5): - Very basic small room. Property in dire need of a refurbishment. Everything is falling apart. Reasonable for the price and if u just want a bed. .
- Jacqueline (10/5): - This was very central, clean and safe and the staff and process to check in were easy. The rooms were clean and well maintained
- Mary (10/5): - Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Decent size family room and good meal at restaurant.
- Zak (8/5): - Draws in room where broken , went out to the car park in the facility and found a woman looking through the back of my truck
- Dean (8/5): - Convenient location. Basic accommodation but perfect to use as a base when exploring Katherine.
- Neil (10/5): I'd come back. - Stayed here 2x nights on business. The overall stay was very good, nothing too fancy but certainly had what I needed to rest up, do some work and have a feed and drink at the end of the day. Thanks Allan and team for making the stay good.
- janos (6/5): Pleasant place - Pleasant place to stay at
Slightly uncomfortable bed to sleep in
But not stayed too long
So dealt with it
- Desiree (6/5): - Very friendly management and food in the dining room was excellent. Rooms of a good standard but attention to detail - replacing bulbs in bedside tables, having tissues available, milk in fridge would be helpful.
- Narelle (8/5): - Staff were great and I was upgraded to a side of the motor inn that was quiet and surrounded by a lovely garden. I would definitely pay the extra next visit. Easy walk to town.
- Janet (2/5): - The property was not as pictured in ad. The room had broken furniture and a body odour smell. I got no sleep people right outside my room started playing loud music and partying around Midnight, it was really unsafe, as there was fighting and people drinking. A man next door kept trying to get the people to stop, I texted the emergency number at 3:00 AM they never phoned back or came. It was just so dirty.
- Jenny (10/5): - This was a good value stay. The service was also excellent.
