James (6/5): - Our room was disappointing. The decor is very tired and was very dirty and worn. Merivale should be embarrassed to have it in their stable in its current state. It is in a great place and a renovation would make this a great place to stay, until this happens there are many better options in Narooma.
Robert (2/5): - The only positive things were the location, clean towels and bedding, and view from the balcony. Notified reception of issues and still awaiting e mail response from Manager. We would not stay here again. For us, the motels website photos were misleading.

The only negative points are the noise made by the kitchen/ restaurant staff downstair when they are closing the restaurant. The property is old in desperate need of an update and some maintenance (our window next to the door had a frame that was very buckled (we were scared to open the window in case it broke) and there wasn't even a fly screen on the balcony door so you couldn't open the door to enjoy the fresh air.

The room Smelt musty and the slide door out to pool and outdoor area was okd needed replacement, no flyscreen to keep door open. Apparently upgrading rooms one by one so see how it turns out. Reception eas efficient and friendly.

Theresa (8/5): Definitely worth a visit - Executive room was clean, comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Treat yourself to dinner in the restaurant. The nearby Sorriso is also worth a visit for Italian dishes. Ample parking at the hotel. Also appreciated the email with directions etc that arrived before our arrival.

Narooma Visitor (10/5): Modern and confortable - Spent one night there last weekend. The staff were friendly, the owner showed us around and organised parking out the back for us, even after a 21:30 arrival. The room was recently renovated with a modern bathroom and a living room overlooking the bay. We'd definitely come back. Thanks for an enjoyable stay.

Geoff. (6/5): Central to all shops etc. - Our room was tidy. Hot tap in bathroom basin was running,which I reported to staff. Smokers below us were coughing and smoking from 5.30am which meant we had to shut all windows.We asked to move but they were booked out that night.Staff didn't want to talk to those guests as it would be discriminating against them.Our friend had a ground floor unit and it was terrible.No ventilation and very musty,with mould over the ceilings.His room was also dirty.

Bob (6/5): Over-all not good value - Great location on a hill with amazing views. Arrived at around dinner time and had to wait until someone arrived to check us in. Suite was outdated and the sofa had a musty smell that made it not very comfortable to sit on. Bathroom and bed were very clean and comfortable. Wifi was completely unusable in both speed and connectivity. Food at the restaurant was good. Over-all not good value for the total experience.
Verified traveler (4/5): A dead cockroach on the bedside table... - The room had probably not been used for months as the temperature on the A/C was set at heat at 30 degrees. There WAS a dead cockroach on my bedside table and the place smelt musty. There was also a sewing needle complete with red thread stuck in the blue curtains near the sofa. We were quite disappointed with our stay.
