Guest Reviews
- Archie (8/5): - Clean and close to food outlet
- Catherine (8/5): - Good for 1 nights that we were there thank you
- Frederic (10/5): - The gardens are lovely. You can sit outside the room surrounded by gardens. The rooms are spotlessly clean. The tea & coffee are of good quality, not cheapest available. As someone whose legs are not good the bathrooms are very mobility-impaired friendly. Redland Bay shopping centre and take-aways 5 mins walk away.
- April (10/5): - The friendly careing attitude the manager was so very kine and super helpful a pleasure to stay
- Helen (6/5): - Friendly and convenient.
- Vanessa (6/5): - The unit was clean, the towels were excellent, we were greeted warmly. Excellent location. However the next morning you were woken by a constant ding dong bell sound at 9am, constantly (I believe to open a doorway?) and cleaners asking if we wanted room service. The cleaners then proceeded to have lengthy conversations with everyone that unfortunately you can hear throughout the entire property. We weren’t able to put the do not disturb on the door as the inside door did not open?? And if check out is 10am why are cleaners making so much noise at 10am?
On day of checkout we had our door opened and a head stick in minutes before 10am as I was getting out of the shower. After 1 knock I might add. And then reminded abruptly check out was 10am with still minutes to go. Was not happy about that considering we were very quiet and respectful visitors. I think my motel days are over :)
- Carol (8/5): - Undercover parking. Friendly service. Clean & tidy. Biscuits provided which was nice to have with coffee/ tea. Fresh milk provided. Old school values which is nice to see
- Deon (2/5): Will not stay here again. - The reception stank of cigarette smoke and the couple in the room next door were smoking just outside my door all night. It was terrible. For the price of the stay I really expected much more. The bathroom was dirty and the carpet was filthy.
- Amanda (2/5): - It wa more like a hostel, noisy poor amenities...could hear all conversations through walls with a lot of swearing and continuous banging etc, Not Recommended!
- Ashlee (8/5): - Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room.
- Helen (10/5): - Had everything I needed, close to ferry , walkable.
- Adam (10/5): Great motel very friendly staff. - Great motel in an out of the way quiet location but still very close to a shopping hub for dining options. The staff were all very friendly with lots of advice on options to check out in the area.
- Michelle (8/5): - Was clean and convenient. Friendly staff. Quiet . Good price .
- Fiona (6/5): - Very small room... felt like nursing home, owner drunk upon checkin and over friendly and intrusive
- Karen (10/5): - We only stayed overnight and it was comfortable, the place was clean and tidy and staff very friendly
- Dennis (10/5): - A gem in a quiet suburban setting.
- Lesley (8/5): - Nice and clean, very helpful manager
- Chris (10/5): - Very peaceful little spot...enjoyed our time there.
- Robert (8/5): - All good
- Jodi (10/5): - Great spot and helpful staff
- Rita (6/5): - Clean bed comfortable tea coffee etc very poor hot water
- Natalie (4/5): - The location is great and quite, staff friendly. However stains on the donner cover and hair on the bedside table and pubs on the bathroom floor, wasn't pleasant.
- Sarah (4/5): - I was the last to arrive and able to check in around 6.30pm after my plane was delayed and insane cross town traffic.
Unfortunately that meant I also got the room at the back which was also attached yo the office area and owners section.
The carpet is disgusting and desperately needs replacing. The bedspread was dirty and it being the middle of winter meant I had to use it.
That said the bed was comfortable and the heater worked well.
If you need to stay in Redland Bay expect a 2 star accommodation for 4 star pricing.
- Ken (8/5): - Great spot
- Kerri Leigh (10/5): - The property was good value for money. Close to the ferry wharf for transport to Russell Island. Friendly local staff and close to the Redland Bay Hotel for excellent dining.
- Peter (6/5): - Hot water was limited.
- Brett (8/5): - We have stayed there a few times now, consistent and comfortable. However, this time we did find the shower water was not hot enough - it didn't get up above tepid which was disappointing.
- Tammy (6/5): - Location was very handy to get around Redland Bay.
- Catherine (8/5): - Good, clean standard motel in the suburbs. Would happily stay here again. Walking distance to Redland Bay Marina. Easy parking and lovely owner/manager
- Sue (10/5): - We were expecting to arrive late. The proprietor made good arrangement and provided very clear instructions as to how to access our room. Also, the nearest pub for dinner.
- Saman (6/5): - Bargain basement facility, smells funny
I wish the price charged wouldreflecr more
- Bruce (8/5): - Very close to all services
- Matthew (8/5): - Nice place at a fair price. I liked how it was all ground floor and there was table & chairs outside.
- Brendon (8/5): - I guess the only fault I could say was that the room that was given to us, was that there is no sink to be able to either wash dishes or fill the kettle... otherwise really great!
- Karen (8/5): - The property is very convenient to the shops and businesses in the area as well as walking distance to the Esplanade and parks. The property was quiet. Staff were helpful. Daily housekeeping services available.
- John (8/5): - The lay out of the actual facility to utilise the land to ave as many rooms as possible
- Mette (10/5): - Friendly staff, clean, no fuss room with kettle, little fridge and microwave. Good bed.
Nice that cars were not parked right in front of our room. Other rooms had that option, but as we were on pushbikes, we enjoyed the peaceful green surroundings at the back of the building without any car noise.
Quiet neighbourhood, in walking distance to the water front with nice walks/ start of Moreton Bay Cycle Way, dining options, nice cafe and shopping centre.
The common BBQ did not seem to be used at all.
- Karen (10/5): - It was in a quiet area within walking distance of dining and groceries etc. Great location
- Stacey (10/5): - Such a cute little motel. Extremely clean and comfortable. Easy to check in and out.
We even saw a little blue tongue lizard outside our front door.
Perfect little stay for our festival at Sirromet Winery!
- geoffrey (10/5): - although it was full it wasnt noisy able to get in at 12.30 to get ready for a 3pm wedding. we were able to go to redland bay bakery at 6am for breaky although rooms are small and bathrooms old they were clean and adequate for two older citizens we would stay again
- Barbara (10/5): - It’s such a lovely place to stay, clean snd comfortable, and very quiet area. Highly recommend it.
- Adrianne (6/5): - the location was good for what I needed
- Elisabeth (4/5): - Hot water wasn’t nice and hot and bathroom needed a light over the mirror to apply cosmetics.
- Klaus (4/5): - The room was quite noisy - very poor insulation from neighbouring properties.
- Sarah (8/5): - Helpful and organised with late check in. Friendly when arranging late check in but tv didn’t work
- Ken (10/5): Great budget motel. - Great hospitality. Simple room with everything you could need. Shopping centre in next block. Pub in 2 blocks.
- Cameron (10/5): - The property was perfect for our short stay to attend an event nearby.
- dylan (10/5): - The people are amazing
- Glenn (8/5): - Coffee biscuits
- Hannah (2/5): - The property is run down the walls are full of dust and mould throughout the whole unit. We paid for a queen bed and got a double. Its very small and not worth 290 for two nights.
- Daniel (10/5): - It was all good
- Judy (8/5): - it was comfortable.
- Margaret (6/5): - It was an ok place to put your head down and sleep.
- GEANA (4/5): - Coffee pod machine in room, but no coffee pods, local take outs to to use by no cutlery supplied,
- Vivean (8/5): - quintessences of the property
- Amanda (8/5): - Would recommend to stay :)
- Rosalie (10/5): - Manager was so professional and helpful. We were lucky enough to get a last minute booking. Close to eateries. Very clean. Would stay here again
- Megan (10/5): Located in quiet leafy street. - Great location, walking distance to the water, the pub and shops in quiet leafy Street.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely spacious and clean. Short walk to lovely restaurants and coffee shops. Lovely quiet location.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Need new towels and the shower curtain was pretty disgusting.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean
- Brigitte (6/5): It needs a lift - It was ok but the room was very tired and old and needed refurbishment. There was mould in the bathroom and the shower was difficult to operate. There were no tissues and although the compendium said the room would be serviced each day, it wasn't until I complained. One of the coffee mugs was dirty. But beds were comfortable and other than the mug, the room was clean.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The accommodation is very basic and appropriate really for a one night stop over rather than a holiday stay. It is not modern as stated on the website but was comfortable. Very small room with older style bathroom. It was strange you had to request the aircon remote as the manager doesn’t make these readily available. It also had a random back door to the room which was quite disconcerting. It has a small microwave but there is no crockery or cutlery to use with it. The office was closed when we departed in the morning and there was no key drop or instructions what to do in the manual. Arrived late the night before and the meal options close by were quite limited.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very basic but clean and functional. Close 100m walk to shops and a great new pub. Good parking
- lynette (10/5): - Very friendly very clean and quite
- lynette (10/5): - Was great reception was friendly no problem would stay again
- Dorothy (6/5): Redland Bay - It was just a bed for the night. A very average small room - not one that we would choose to stay in again.
- Julie (8/5): A nice stay - Location was essential for us and the room was clean and well appointed. Aircon was not effective and we think the blades on the ceiling fan were installed upside down as it didn’t push air downwards. Staff were friendly and efficient and parking was excellent (and free).
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property was quiet and in a nice area. The owner was friendly and helpful
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I felt extremely safe and everything was spotlesy clean.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - the premises whilst clean and tidy are dated and the aircon could not be controlled and found the room stuffy
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Any motel with real milk is ok with me👍
Good location close to the bay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): It’s ok - If you just need a bed, it’s ok. No service, and very basic room.
- Neil (8/5): Thoroughly enjoyable. - It was a small comfortable motel run by a pleasant gentleman who as it turned out was related to people I had known many years ago. Because of its proximity to overpriced accommodation on the Gold Coast it suited us perfectly.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Very small - The room was very small for 2 beds and was not the room shown in the photos when I booked. One of the beds had to be moved so we could open the fridge and the wardbrobe. It was convenient for why we were there and was clean. The owner was friendly on arrival.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location. A little noisy early in the morning. Bathroom could do with a renovation but great service. Would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The grounds were nice enough, not exactly kept but nice enough. The rooms were a bit of a let down, small and very basic. There was tea, coffee, biscuits, a microwave and kettle, the tv and air conditioner, a soap dispenser and shower gel dispenser and that is it. There were no eating facilities and limited places to eat in the town. There is not much to see or do in Redland Bay itself.
- Robert (10/5): - Tony very helpful friendly and clean
- Paul (4/5): - At a cost of $155 for two people i expected much better.Property reminded us of a retirement home. Bathroom from the 1970s with leaking taps dark and dingey.
- Peter (2/5): - Extremely dirty and gross. Hair and bugs everywhere
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Small, quiet (to my liking). Convenient for my purpose.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location for us visiting family in the area. Undercover parking was also a bonus has we were driving a classic car. Easy access to room with private entrance was a bonus as well. Owner was also very accommodating
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Close to the township off main road but easy access and not far from waterfront
- John (8/5): Overnight stay at Redlands Bay - Management and staff were very helpful. The rooms were rather old, but very clean. It had all the amenities , bathroom was quite large ,bedroom section a little difficult to walk around the beds, but small issue. Is small town, so location although a little distance from town centre, not an issue.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Was a great stay close to everything and staff were great
- A. (6/5): - Convenient for SMBI visitors, close to good eats.Pleasant surrounds to out door seating.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We were just looking for a quick overnight stay to visit somewhere nearby. Everything was clean and tidy. The only problem we had was that we realised there were no towels late in the evening and didn't want to bother the owners. Other than that, it's in a good location on a quiet street.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great welcome by hotel manager
Very accommodating of our extra vehicle
- Verified traveler (6/5): Close to Redland Bay shops, Pub. - Clean, reasonable sized room, A/C didn't work, so room was quite cold in mid July & only one lightweight spare blanket. TV didn't work either & hot water took ages to come through, shower water pressure was fairly ordinary too, stayed in better $80 rooms
- Verified traveler (6/5): - No hot water for a shower. Room needs updating. Close to shops and cafe/restaurant at Redland Bay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Average sized rooms, but clean and tidy. - Motel is clean and tidy. Rooms are not glamour filled, but very functional.
- Randy (10/5): - Iur Stay was great Tony was Tip Notch.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Noise all night from next door unit. Perhaps exhaust fan or airconditioner ?
- Allan (8/5): Very handy for the Island ferry service - Very warm welcome. We were given a nice room away from the carpark area. The room was not large but certainly adequate for our needs for the one night. The very accomodating owner allowed us to leave our car in their carpark the next morning while we went to Macleay Island and back.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Quiet close to food ..will definitely come back comfy bed. What else can l say if was so affordable.
- Lea (8/5): Quaint motel - Quick overnight stay. Gentleman checking us in was very friendly. reasonable motel suitable to our needs. would stay again
- Therese (8/5): - Peaceful and relaxing . Friendly staff. Would definitely stay again if I was in the area
- Quan (8/5): Neat motel near the bay - The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean. It is close to a shopping center. A good place for a short retreat.
- Carolyn (10/5): Great friendly and convenience - This is a beautiful and clean will set out room. A really warm and welcoming sign in. Close to some great little cafes and restaurants and of course very convenient for being able to catch some wonderful views.
Definitely worth a look and great if you want to have a nice convenient place in which to be able to catch some of the wonderful sites
- Verified traveler (6/5): Close to shops and pub - Lovely clean room. Only downside was the air con dripped water and shower took ages to heat up
