• DIANE (8/5): Love that there are so many food options within walking distance - I really enjoy the convenience of this location- so many different food options close by you don't have to decide in advance. A hotel next door for dining in, a supermarket across the road where a whole range of meal options can be bought, a service station with a large range of gourmet pies and toasties that can be purchased ready to eat, fish and chips at another store, and pizza. The beds are always comfortable, shower is quite roomy. The position is convenient for us coming into town , or going to Pakinton st,, heading to Settlement road and Fyans st. It would be equally convenient if we wanted to go into the city centre. We are aware that planning to approach the motel from the left (map view) and thereby doing a left hand turn entry increases the ease of arrival greatly. The interior of our room was clean but cigarette butts on the ground just outside the door was unattractive to non-smokers . We actually had to step over them to enter the room so that was disappointing . Initially it appeared as though the TV reception was unwatchable but after experimenting by moving the location of the screen it was fine- some people might not realise they can adjust it so some form of notification would be of value

• Sue-Anne (4/5): disappointing. - Bed was quite comfortable, and the location was good. Overall, just a "tired" motor inn. Towels were stained, mould in the bathroom, air conditioner from last century and a TV that didn't work.

• Matthew (4/5): Check out the others first - It was great to have individual toiletries and quality sachets of coffee (Moccona). As well there was ample toilet paper and facial tissues. What first struck us was the overwhelming smell of room deodoriser, but this was dispelled by opening up the room for a couple of hours. There was cutlery, but only knives and spoons. The Woolworths across the road suppied the forks. What was totally unacceptable was the state of the mattress. It must have been an original. One half was flat and firm, the other half sank to the floor. You know that 'roll out of bed' feeling by motel owners too cheap to claim upgrades against their tax.
• Felicity (7/5): We enjoyed the night we stayed and would book again. - It was clean and comfortable . Spacious and the bed was ok. Never like trying a new bed. Even though the decor was dated it was ok . Close to amenities and easy access to the Spirit of Tasmania. A shelf in the bathroom would be good as there is nowhere to put the toiletries. The lighting could be better. The light near the microwave is difficult to turn on.

• Alan (8/5): Would definitely visit again. - Room was clean and well presented. Supermarket, petrol stations, pub and 3 other eateries all within short walking distance. Very conveniently located and affordable as we were travelling on the Spirit of Tasmania. Car park is quite tight, as we have an older car. Managed OK but would have been a little struggle if car park was full.
• Bruce (5/5): Very average. - It was average but then it was very cheap. The sheets were clean. Bathroom door didn’t close. Shower head fell off, couldn’t get it back on. Bed was far too hard. The one comfy chair was so wonky we were frightened to sit in it. Overall it needs some money spent on it and some TLC.
