Guest Reviews
- Ethan (1/5): Horrible would never recommend - Nothing There was cockroaches in the bed
- Sarah (3/5): Would never stay here again. - The location of this property was close to Terrigal which is where we were visiting for the Easter weekend. The room was spacious and the check-in/check-out process was simple. Not much more I can say in this section. This property should not be classified as a "Hotel". It's a budget motel at best. We had read reviews about smoke detectors being broken in rooms and when we arrived, ours had a "Not Working" note stuck to it. It's illegal to not have smoke detectors in a place with accommodation facilities so that's the biggest issue with this stay. The bed wasn't comfortable and the pillows were incomplete; there were only 3. There were roadworks outside on the roads which affected the wifi but we weren't notified of this before arriving. The bathroom door also wasn't the easiest to open/close as it would get stuck somehow so I had to keep leaving it open which again, doesn't match the description of what a Hotel should be.
- stephen (7/5): -
- latifee (3/5): Never again - Nothing They was u comfortable and the pillows were very uncomfortable
No WiFi due to roadwork nearby but we were not told prior
Concoct in the kettle
- John (7/5): - Reasonable price for a one stay No microwave
- Maurice (7/5): As we were staying overnight it was adequate but would not recommend longer stay - Nice large rooms set up nicely for a small dog which we were travelling with was reasonably comfortable and met our needs Unfortunately as there were road works outside the entrance there was no WiFi this was disappointing but probably not of the motels doing we would like to see if there is an improvement once the road works have been completed
- Carlos (4/5): -
- Theresa (8/5): Short stay but comfortable.đ - The bathroom was cleaner then some of the hotels and motels Iâve stayed in with no mould
Although the fan in the roof didnât work. The room could have had a bit more furniture although it was good for the money we paid I guess thank you .
- Shayara (4/5): -
- Cheryl (1/5): We werenât there long enough. - I didnât It smelt, the water was brown and my daughter broke out in hives.
- Michael (2/5): Donât stay at this place !! - Nothing!! The mould smell was so bad I couldnât sleep my partner had a massive headache from the smell we were the only people in the whole place and it just looked abandoned
- Mark (4/5): Very expensive for a very run-down room. - It was clean Very basic and shabby. Not good value for the price we paid when compared with other places we stayed.
- Julie (3/5): - Convenient location for a last minute stay Very run down and poorly maintained
- Trevor (1/5): - Nothing Everything.. filthy dirty .. half way hotel for drug and sex workers ..
It should not be on booking.com
- John (3/5): - Not much to like here at the moment, place is a bit unkept but there is major building work going on out front. No WIFI no Internet
- Jordan-miller (10/5): - Fabulous đ
- SuperTrev (3/5): I stayed there - I liked how close it was to where I needed to be and I like how it was pet friendly. Let's just hope they fix everything that's wrong and charge a more reasonable price for what it is. Also only include in the ads what is actually there and available.
- Tayla (1/5): Avoid like the plague. - Honestly do not waste your money nothing about this place was good. The room was mouldy, as were the bed sheets. The room was in unhygienic conditions with dust and dirt everywhere. The bathroom was also bad, with a broken toilet seat that fell off, human hair, gross stuff coming out of the shower head and a stained bath - not the room we ordered. We were offered other rooms but all were in the same condition. There was also no wifi which was not communicated prior.
- Toni (5/5): Underwhelming - Was able to get late access Didnât respond to messages, had to call to get a response. No mattress cover under sheets, sheets didnât fit bed properly.
- Shane (4/5): -
- Delyth (7/5): - good for price, nice stay staff were not very organised
- Yelds (10/5): -
- Shun (10/5): Good - Great location for business trips!
The room was clean, quiet, and had a comfortable workspace.
Highly recommend for solo travelers.
- Noah (10/5): Great Hotel - Great hotel with excellent service! The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and the location was convenient. Highly recommend!
- Tarrant (1/5): We would not recommend this place. - We were able to check in. The place was incredibly run down, nothiing like the photos so that is false advertising. We were met with lots of tiny cockroaches everytime we walked in and we had to kill them that crawled into the bags, we took into the room. There was no screen so the door could not be left open. The fan in the bathroom was incredibly loud and it came on automatically when you switched the light on. There was no wifi. There was a fridge which contained two cups and saucers, two glasses and a teaspoon. There was a tv. The sheets were clean but had stains on them.
- sarah (5/5): -
- Cheryl (1/5): This overall negative experience has caused us to never use a third party provider for booking accomodation ever again - Couldnât say as the whole property was shut when we arrived with a disconnected contact phone number ⊠The whole place as we had to find alternate accomodation as the property was closed and no one there ⊠it looked run down and the contact phone number was disconnected âŠ. Causing us a lot of stress to find last minute alternate accomodation in peak holiday period âŠ
- Peter (1/5): -
- Laura (2/5): - They overcharged us for bringing our pet, the lighting was terrible, the fan for the bathroom kept making noises, it said pet friendly and yet the entire grass was covered in bindies so we couldnât even let our dog ijt
- Hyland (3/5): - Never stay there again Run down charge to much
- Chelsea (2/5): -
- Ajay (2/5): Paid $260 on new year day not more than $100 worth when I compare to all the places I have stayed at - Nothing Toilet was unclean
Room smelled
Mattresses were uncomfortable
Pillows were uncomfortable
No wifi
Dirty carpet
- Charli (1/5): Very outdated, not clean, needs a full Reno - Location Not clean, very outdated, cigarette burns in carpet, marks all over doors, needs to be fully renovated
- Joshua (3/5): -
- Maruf (2/5): - No internet, no cleaning scheduled. Not Clean enough. Missing pillow, only give 2 toilet roll for 3 people for 2 nights. Was dirty throughout around outdoor space. Unfortunately the space looks like not properly maintained. Also in the add pictures of hotel there was a picture around water, but actually it was no way near water...
- ARTHUR (6/5): The location was OK apart from the road works at the entrance..not the fault of the facility. - Needs pulling down the best thing was the bed. Very shabby & like a building site..no blinds & curtains not blockout but sheer.
- Emma (2/5): - Location Bathroom wasnât clean, every time we flushed the toilet water would pour out the back of it. Beds were horrible, tv was that tiny I had to sit in front of it to read channels, room wasnât fully made up. Staff were hard to find, waited over half an hour before staff come to reception, I did try calling but the number was not connected.Would be good to have a microwave & toaster in rooms also.
- Amanda (3/5): Disappointing especially for the price - Staff were helpful. Door lock was broken, changed room and air ventilation in bathroom very loud and sounded like it was going to fall down. Wifi not available. Bedside light did not work until randomly came on in the morning. No PowerPoint near the bed for charging. No extra blanket for cool night. Poor signage for entrance due to roadworks. Bathroom vanity was stained. Toilet seat was broken.
- Neale (6/5): Excellent location, affordable and pet friendly - The room was spacious, and the beds were okay.
A big bonus is that the hotel is pet-friendly.
The room we stayed in this time was considerably better than the last time. The room was tiled and had a proper fridge.
The location is fabulous. It is close to the Bateau Bay shopping village and Long Jetty, with numerous cafes. The courtyard fencing is not secure, and dogs from other apartments easily walk through the garden to your courtyard.
Simple things such as a Microwave oven and a toaster would be nice. However, we found a microwave oven in the games room.
- Robert (5/5): Definitely would not recommend - Nothing much The door to the outside area was stuck
We had to clean the shower before we used it
Staff were not there in the morning and the checkout box for keys was locked. Had to put the keys through the grill to leave them
Building works in front and no internet or
Wifi
- Adele (5/5): Only needed for 1 night so needed really care but no so clean bathroom stunk of mould, pillows paper thin, dust everywhe - Not much Everything
- Gaye (4/5): -
- KATRINA (3/5): -
- Ian (7/5): - Room was comfortable and clean great value for money. The swimming pool was disappointing unkept leaves and insects in pool. Could be cleaned occasionally. Bathroom needs repair of exhaust fan
- Daniel (1/5): If budget is what youâre looking for then this is reject shop levels - Location Shower didnât work. Room smelled mouldy. No fridge in room. Stayed in more comfortable tents
- Elizabeth (4/5): - We were checked into a room that only had the bed made despite arriving after 3pm. No pillow cases on the pillows. The fridge was unplugged and defrosting. No towels, condiments or cutlery. The floor wasn't clean. Bathroom wasn't clean. We had to wait for someone to clean our room while we were in it. Still the floor wasn't cleaned. There was an empty drink can outside on the patio. One of the chairs outside was lying on it's side and the table hadn't been cleaned. The bedside draws were covered in dust. The room needed a lot of repairs ie the soap dish in the shower was hanging off the wall. The power points weren't the standard Australian 3 pin points. Extremely disappointed and I wouldn't stay there again. Even if it was free.
- Armando ibby (10/5): -
- Press (5/5): - was clean the shower was only just hanging on by a bolt
there was no extra blankets or pillows and the fridge was not on to keep anything cold
- Michael (3/5): Was cheap - Leaving No hair dry
No cutlery
No lamps
Smelly room
No black out curtain
broken lights / chair
a divot / hole in the bed
pillows were paper thin
- Sheena (1/5): Would not stay again - Had to pay extra for a late check in. Other guest were inconsiderate with music playing all night
- Jennie (3/5): The worst place I have stayed in 98 countries over 60 years. - This was like Fawlty Towers - a hotel overgrown with grass, vines and lichen with a broken empty fountain in the front driveway surrounded by weeds. The reception desk was closed morning and night with a phone number. Nothing here to like. Thefirst sign said no internet sorry for roadworkdy. The halls had trolley piled over my head with dirty linen. They had not been swept and there were leaves and paper everywhere. The room had a broken noisy extractor in bathroom and PowerPoint surrounds were broken and illegal. Compliance was two years out of date.
Curtains were just folded over at top too long. There were lounges and a dining room just empty and closed. Looked like it was being run ar a loss by one couple. Would strongly advise checking and removing from Booking.com
- michael (1/5): The place is a dump not well maintained in any way. - nothing There was no cutlery, there were no plates, there was no chair or coach to sit on. They allow dogs and the there was one dog locked in the room below that was barking for hours. There was no microwave there was no tea towels or washing up liquid to clean anything. No fresh towels were placed in the room on the second day. When i checked out at 9.00 on the second day there was no at reception. There was no wi-fi and it was advertised
- Amy (1/5): Felt unsafe, hated it. - Didnât stay long enough to find out. Had a man bang on my door telling me that he could hear footsteps, and went off at me, I was hardly at the room, but this older man had a problem with my 2 year old. I felt unsafe, and didnât want to stay but had no other choice.
- Gurjit (1/5): Terrible - Nothing Photos look nothing like the property , went there and discovered it was run down , they refused to refund even booking . Com wouldnât get money back
Wouldnât recommend
- Hanan (1/5): It should be closed down - It should be shut down. Mould in fridge, air con not working, dust everywhere, no internet, mattress had springs coming out and very dirty
- Jessica (4/5): Clean and ok for one night. Urgently needs a renovation. - Clean, good activities , friendly staff and location It was clean but very old and run down. Room was lacking blankets, lamps, power points, tissues, curtains, milk, cutlery, nil hot water.
- Laura (1/5): -
- Carmella Lina (7/5): - N/A
- David and Bridget (2/5): Disappointing - The location A very run down facility
- Roxanne (3/5): The renovations not complete, we were the only guest there and room did not match the website pictures. - The bed Bad location on a very busy road and construction everywhere. There was no sign so hard to find and a note on the reception desk with a number to call that did not work.
- Ian (1/5): Terrible. Avoid this place. No stars - Nothing This place is derelict and should not be advertised with any stars.
- Neale (7/5): Cheap and cheerful - Price, convenience and availability Itâs showing itâs age
- Zed (5/5): It was OK bit left a lot to be desired. - I liked the grounds, pool, tennis court and basketball court. The room only had one teaspoon and small coffee cups. No other cutlery. No microwave. Staff seemed annoyed when i asked for a bread butter knife and a plate.
The communal lounge area wa dirty with broken pool tables, dirty floors.
No access to SmartTV functions, just basic TV channels.
- Lev (7/5): - Stuff, location, have hairdryer, good private space outside. Hairdryer was sticky
- Christopher (7/5): - Good sized room in quiet location. Poor communication from staff. Scant room items you would expect to find in a normal motel room.
- Paul (5/5): Very average accommodation. - Stayed one night and went to a birthday party, so did not spent a great deal of time in motel. The colour of the tap water was light brown in colour, discouraging one from drinking the water or making a cup of tea/coffee.
- Hardy (8/5): Peaceful - Itâs was very peaceful for a weekend stay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was a swimming pool and tennis courts that we had the opportunity to use to ourselves due it being so quiet. It was a little run down but acceptable for the price we paid. The fridge was a bit noisy.
- Juanita (5/5): - The whole place is amazing and certainly has the potential to be absolutely incredible. It had just changed Owner's so everything was closed, rundown, and not working. The Asian Owner's had no clue on how to run the establishment so we were given our own run of what we needed (towels etc) but upon arriving initially I was told to take what we needed and not to go and ask for anything else for the rest of the trip!
Rude!
The Wifi didn't work at all. The Pool was nice but they didn't run the filters so the chlorine was thick and smelly in the water. The Spa and Sauna didn't work either, the games room wasn't equipped to be used and the Pool table clothes was all ripped. There were no screens on the sliding doors so we had to have the air con on. The outdoor sinks and bbq were covered in cobwebs so I was too nervous to turn the gas on. And the gates to our little patio were strung together with ropes and odd bits of materials so we couldn't get in or out.
And I was charged an extra $35 per night to have an extra child with me. Considering all the downfalls I shouldn't have been charged any extra at all.
- Claudia (8/5): -
- Perri (4/5): Good hospitality, but the place needs a facelift - Friendly staff
Convenient location
Affordable
Has potential Room smells
Old and needs maintenance
Small tv
- MIZUE (4/5): NÌeeds renÌovation - Beds are comfortable and clean Mould inside of fridge and on tea cups and saucers
- Kunal (4/5): -
- Ian (6/5): Was once a good hotel. - Tennis court and pool at the resort General lack of maintenance around the hotel. What seems like was a nice hotel years ago, has been let run down. Is a pet friendly hotel and a dog in the next room kept barking.
- M.A.I.A (1/5): The worse stay ever - Nothing at all The room was not clean, so many spider websites all over the window, the carpet was dirty, there were items under the beds, the pillows are the worst, the beds were not comfortable and the bedsheets dirty, I used my towels to sleep on and cover myself.
- Troy (6/5): - Location and price. Staff were friendly. Just some simple things like no bin in the room, hot water was often not available, bed didn't have a blanket which we asked for and given. There was no cutlery and only one glass. It was cheap accommodation, so you get what you pay for. Attention to detail and a little TLC, and the place could be really popular.
- David (5/5): Good enough for the price I paid - It wasnât as bad as what people were saying online, but it definitely wasnât perfect , it was clean so thatâs a plus They didnât answer the phone in the office, office is always unattended, when you do get a hold of them, their English is very poor, and it was a challenge to get any hot water
- Peter (4/5): Not a vibe. - There are lots of parking space The wifi connect is not stable, the facility is pretty dead.
- Janis (6/5): - This property is a little sad đ but the new managers are trying to correct this. The bed was clean and comfortable as we're the pillows. Grounds were good for my puppy đ¶ It is tired and it needs upgrading good luck to the new managers hope all goes well it has a lot of potential
- Charissa (5/5): It could be a beautiful place if it was cleaned up - The bed was comfortable and the shower had good pressure The room smelt mouldy, the entire property needs a good tidy up, it would fantastic if it was renovated and taken good care of
- Dabura (8/5): Very good -
- Janelle (8/5): The attached Chinese Restaurant had friendly staff and nice food. - Would be great for children and pets.
- Eva (5/5): Our dog was happy, it was ok for us. - Grounds tennis court games room
Friendly staff Rooms lacked basics - had no lamps, tissues, draws, fridge
Uncomfortable beds
Terrible pillows
No blankets in winter!
Reception closed - no way of contacting staff
Needs maintenance and sprucing up
- Ash (8/5): Very good -
- Brian (9/5): Superb - Beautiful area wish we had more time Dog hair in the room needed to be cleaned and no room to make yourself a coffee
- Jones (1/5): Bad - Nothing it was terrible Everything
- Kennedy (7/5): Valuable stay - Honestly, we weren't expecting much given the reasonable rates, but we felt comfortable and well looked after. The free Wi-Fi was reliable, the surrounding was nice. overall It was a very pleasant stay without spent a lot. Itâs not the most modern-looking place, the furniture might look a bit dated.
- N (8/5): Very good -
- Daniel (4/5): Disappointing -
- Julia (8/5): Fantastic place to stay with or without pets - Friendly staff
Management team on site and very helpful
We took our 2 dogs and had a pet friendly room
Tiles floors for hygiene and a fantastic private dog garden
Beds very clean and room clean
Very nice pool area Nothing
- Thierry (10/5): Great place, great price, friendly owners and rooms are spacious and restaurant next door. - I have stayed here before hence why I chose it again. Chose this location as it was close to the work place I was at for a couple days. The owner is an absolute gentleman and made sure everything I needed was available. Plenty of parking, restaurant next door, green space aplenty and a tennis court if you feel fit. Room quite large and beds were comfortable and plenty of water pressure in the shower especially convenient after working all day. Highly recommend and price is very reasonable. Nothing to no like.
- Julie (4/5): It was ok for me as I have a dog - Location No microwave, behind the headboard it was covered in cobwebs, curtains were detached from the fixture, bathroom fan /extractor was loud and hanging off the roof.
- Kareena (1/5): Boo! - Itâs repulsive The ghosts
- N (8/5): Very good - Very easy with a pet Bathroom fan was very loud
- Thierry (9/5): Will definitely stay here again when working nearby again. - I stayed here because I was working nearby so the location was very convenient. The site is spacious and a lot of greenspace around so you don't feel boxed in at all. There is an Asian restaurant right next door so no problems about driving to a dinner location. I didn't eat there as I finished work late and ate elsewhere before coming back. Nothing.
- Isaaac (9/5): Pleasant Overall - Pleasant experience overall. The location was great, with easy access to restaurants and attractions.
- Ivy (10/5): Satisfied Stay - Highly satisfied with my stay. The hotel met all my expectations, from comfort to customer service.
- Tiana (10/5): Exceptional - Everything beds were comfortable room was nice and big lots of room to move around Only thing that was disliked was the colour of the water in the bath from the taps was all orangey
- Jian (9/5): Comfortable stay - Comfortable stay with all the necessary amenities. The bed was cozy, and the Wi-Fi was goodâperfect for both work and relaxation.
- Catherine (7/5): Great place to stay with dogs. - We stayed at this accommodation because we were travelling with dogs. The room was perfect with the little yard of the room for the dogs. It was great and will stay again when we have our dogs.
- Fifi (2/5): - This hotel was the most disappointing establishment we have had the misfortune of visiting. The pervasive odor and uncleanliness were overwhelming, and even our dog refused to eat in the room. A cockroach was discovered in my room, and the pillow was extremely uncomfortable and lacked sufficient loft. We experienced severe discomfort, verging on nausea. Despite booking a two-night stay and paid an extra 72$ for our dog, we departed after the first day due to our deteriorating health. The hotel's name suggests a level of luxury, but the reality is far inferior to even the most basic accommodations in developing countries.
