Guest Reviews
- Che Wan (9/5): We would love to stay here if we are ever travelling down to Margaret River again. - Well designed and thoughtful space.
- Henrietta (10/5): - We loved everything about the property. From the cleanliness, the provisions by the owners, the location and the amazing views. There was nothing negative about the property.
- Gaynor (8/5): - Perfectly placed, close enough to town but far enough away where it feels like you are in your own little bubble. Sat and watched the birds fly in and out of the bird bath. It was peace. Pure peace. A great place to unwind and chill out.
- Grant (9/5): Fantastic accommodation with a great view - It is a really lovely location. The studios are roomy and well appointed. The view is amazing and everything works well. Kept very clean. An oven would be nice addition. Nothing else the place is amazing.
- Loren (10/5): -
- Tracy Starling (9/5): Perfect. We loved this place. - Our studio was so lovely. Very roomy and well designed. Had a beautiful outlook over a native garden and the farm property. I have never stayed somewhere with so many native birds surrounding us. We got right into the birdwatching (book and binoculars provided). This property is well positioned to Margaret River. Owners were really hospitable (as we had loads of camping gear on our way south, and our daughter popped in for a few nights). They even gave us fresh fruit off their mum's fruit tree, and you are allowed to walk around the farm. We loved our stay here and felt really chilled by the time we left.
- Rebecca (10/5): Tranquil, private retreat - Private, peaceful, beautiful view, spa bath, king size bed. If you want to be surrounded by nature, this is your place. Watch Kangaroos grazing on the hill at dusk, and watch a variety of parrots, cockatoos and other cute and colourful birds plaing in the bird bath just metres from the alfresco dining area.
A great place to stay over late spring/summer/early autumn.
There is a small jar of ground coffee, tea selection, and a tiny milk carton enough for about 4 coffees.
Cooking utensils are plentiful, there is also a BBQ outside.
Hairdryer and extra towels. Good size shower, with a shampoo/body soap, bottle of local conditioner and some body lotion.
Netflix and standard channels were available on TV, you can log in to other subscriptions if you wish.
The TV is on a bracket so you can turn it to watch on the lounge or in bed which was cool. A little expensive. No fireplace. A coffee pod machine and a dvd player (as was advertised) would have been great instead of a coffee plunger
I would not want to stay here in winter - you would not make great use of the stunning alfresco area and the place would lack a little cosy feel with no woodburner/fireplace.
Needs a dishwasher!
- Fletchlives78 (10/5): - Beautiful location, easy checkin
- Timothy (10/5): Very relaxing - The view Maybe a nespresso type coffee pod machine + some pods and also shampoo/conditioner
- Stephen (9/5): Very happy will visit again - Location was great
Quiet relaxing
Easy access
No fuss Liked everything
- Sara (10/5): Wonderful, peaceful stay - Perfect location, quiet and peaceful yet very close to Margaret River and all the wineries. The studio was spacious, with a gorgeous view and all the amenities we needed. Could not have wished for a better stay.
- Michael (9/5): -
- Brooke (6/5): -
- Lauren (10/5): Perfect weekend away for peace and quiet in gorgeous, clean studio with amazing views. - The views are incredible, the studios are modern and clean with everything you need and the location is close to town but far enough away to have plenty of peace and quiet That we couldn’t stay longer!
- Brayden (10/5): If you’re looking for a nice quiet getaway, this place is perfect for exactly that! Highly recommend to everyone! - I liked how peaceful the entire stay was, so nice and the view was incredible, using the binoculars to get a good look at all the animals in the field and using them to identify the birds was just amazing Nothing, there’s nothing I would change about it
- Bronte (10/5): - Peaceful and tidy
- Michelle (10/5): - Olive oil and vinegar, lots of teabags provided, beautiful local soap products and cream
- marcus (10/5): -
- Rosanna (10/5): - Everything Nothing
- Jeff (10/5): Tranquil, serene and bliss. - The view was stunning, the spa bath with French windows was just amazing, the kangaroos put on a show, the blue wrens fluttered about and there was a couple of cute little bunny rabbits
- Dylan (10/5): Incredible location and great facilities, definetly coming back - Location was amazing, the view over the hill from our studio was the perfect way to start the morning and many hours were spent bird watching A power point is only on one side of the bed (very minor)
- Ed (10/5): -
- Neville (10/5): Perfect location, perfect view, and perfect accommodation. - The studio is thoughtfully designed to maximise the view. It is spacious and comfortable. But it was the additional, thoughtful inclusions that really made it special, such as the binoculars and the bird and flower identification books. The area around the studio is planted with native species that attract a mass of birdlife, and kangaroos are regular visitors to the adjoining paddocks. Nothing!
- Liam (9/5): -

Warmth
Outdoor seating except it was raining every day but was obviously a lovely place to sit in the sun I would have liked a coffee machine- Nespresso for example but that’s just me
- Irene (9/5): - Unpretentious, Peaceful, and Full of Charm
An unassuming, homely retreat — not luxurious, but thoughtfully equipped with everything you need. The studio feels private and peaceful, just 10 mins from Margaret River town.
We fed the horse apples, spotted kangaroos and hares in the garden, and soaked in the beautiful views. No housekeeping during the stay, but that suited the laid-back, self-contained feel.
A restful, unpretentious base for reconnecting with nature.
- John (9/5): -
- Harmeet (9/5): Excellent, and would love to stay again - Everything, especially the attention from the hosts who left the light on and the villa warm for our late night arrival,. It was very welcoming and highly appreciated. Fireplace maybe as it was a cold weekend and the A/C can be a bit drying, but couldn't fault anything really.
- Wai Theng (10/5): -
- Adrienne (10/5): - This place was amazing, it's totally private and was such a special place for my husband to stay! we loved the vibe and facilities it was beyond perfect and we will definitely come back and stay here again for sure!! Nothing, there is literally nothing i can say thats wrong with this place!

- Juan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bushra (10/5): Enjoyed - Excellent
- Alana (10/5): Stunning views - Very clean. Very comfortable. Property was stunning. Great communication Only thing would have liked was an oven and or airfryer
- Mica (10/5): Haven in nature - Private, beautiful chalet with a thoughtful design and beautiful view. Lots of special little touches such as local products from Margaret River (soap, moisturiser, olive oil). Very comfortable king size bed and great little Webber on the private decked area. Just what we needed, came home feeling nurtured. Thank you Nothing not to like
- Ashleigh (9/5): Loved it! - Beautiful view, great location. Comfortable and private room. Easy breezy check in process and we loved our first time in Margaret River. We will be back! Beds were a bit hard but this doesn't bother me too much.
- Colin (8/5): An enjoyable weekend in a unique and tranquil setting. We’d be back if there was a standard hotel mattress! - The location and the design are very unique and memorable. It’s a great way to show case the beautiful countryside and serenity! I particularly liked sitting in the bath with the view out to the field and trees. A clever design in harmony with the surroundings. The mattress! It was like sleeping on a trampoline. Whenever I or my wife moved it woke us up. We could have done with a J cloth too.
- Anny (10/5): Will be back again soon! Thanks Paul for the amazing stay! - Loving the panoramic views, interior design of the studio and everything is so thoughtful and beautifully presented. None
- Matt (9/5): Superb -

Nice little touches with the local soaps, etc and bar of chocolate on arrival! The room gets quite bright in the morning even with the blinds down
- Andrea (10/5): Faultless. - Simply marvellous.
- Huilin (9/5): Will come back again - The studio is big and clean. Plus points was there we are able to see kangaroos that were at the hilltop.
- Em (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jk (9/5): Superb -
- Lumsden (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and tidy property with a relaxing atmosphere
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Tui (10/5): Wonderful relaxing break, very clean space - Such a gorgeous peaceful spot. Really well appointed accomodation, lovely for a romantic break away. Some really nice little touches and I think good value for money. The bed was super comfy, and that bath in all of the promo pictures was really peaceful!!
If you’re like me and going through all of these reviews to check if the property is clean, I’m here to tell you this place was great! I have bad environmental allergies and skin sensitivities, so I’m a real clean freak. This place was spotlessly clean AND provided cleaning spray and a vacuum cleaner so I could do a quick once over for peace of mind. To be clear though, for normal people this would not have been something you needed to do. It was very very clean on arrival! I do recommend it especially for others like me though :)
- Patrick (9/5): Superb - The view was incredible, absolutely outstanding, the facilities and accommodation was wonderful and the owners where very easy goin and communicative.
But what surprised me the most was how good the water was, all water, drinking and washing, was rainwater collected from a tank, tasted incredible and I have never left a shower feeling cleaner. Incredible place. I wish I was still there now
- Sharon.duarte (9/5): Lovely stay - Neat, clean, lovely view, quiet and peaceful
- Aoife (10/5): Exceptional - Atmosphere and location
- Jason (9/5): Superb -
- Fiona (10/5): Stunningly beautiful and tranquil would sum up Hilltop studios. Would not hesitate coming back. Thank you. - The accomodation was excellent, homely and clean. The view was exceptional. Binoculars were a welcome addition to our stay. The only drawback. A coffee machine would have been a great addition as I am not a fan of the French press.
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Tay (10/5): Perfect get away from city life - The View. The location is secluded yet super convenient. The house is very clean and well equipped. We had an amazing time in this house, spotting wild life in the day and star gazing at night. Highly recommended and definitely plan to come back here. NA
- Isaac (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maurice (9/5): Stay here if coming to Margaret river - you will love it . - Comfortable , great location , well appointed self contained cottage - all the amenities you would need , quiet and serene surroundings , very accommodating and friendly ( not intrusive) host . We would have stayed much longer given the chance . We will return here - it’s that good . Nothing to dislike
- Lee (10/5): Fantastic - Location, location and location. A mop to dry up the bathroom floor would be handy.
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Amanda (9/5): Superb - Stunning location...great for nature enthusiasts
- Clair (9/5): Superb -
- Ting (9/5): Nice stay - First surprise with the stunning view after opening the door, second surprise with the Vasse Virgin conditioner and lotion, third surprise is the bathing tub with the view. The room is spacious, clean & tidy. Nothing

- Sana (10/5): Everything was perfect. - Everything was perfect. The most beautiful stay with breathtaking views and they really thought of everything. Comfortable bed and the bath was just to die for. We didn’t want to leave the house, but when we did, it was easy to go between margs, the coast, wineries, and easy to get a taxi into town and back for dinner. Everything about our stay was honestly perfect and we felt so comfortable, cosy, and romantic. Loved the local products! Perfect for a rainy weekend away to switch off and explore the region. We would have loved for an outdoor fire pit, but it was raining anyway so we didn’t miss it. Would be a nice touch though 😊
- Andrew (8/5): Very good - Proximity to town, very peaceful and quiet, big comfortable bed and good heating Bathroom privacy was minimal, ventilation in bathroom minimal, became quite wet from moisture.
- Megan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brandon (8/5): Very good -
- Anneliesse (7/5): Good - The view, bath, amenities, and furniture were lovely. The folding doors which close the toilet and bathroom had large gaps when closed. It would wake the other person up during the night. We also could not see the TV from the bath which would have been an added bonus. The fridge made a fair few noises during the night which woke us up.
- Yoke (9/5): Superb -
- Darren (10/5): Relaxing time away from home with no kids - Location was lovely, beautiful views and quiet. Wifi in the room. Clean apartment. Close to town. Everything was good. Nothing not to like

Really appreciated the bird book and binoculars. Every detail was thought of and more. We wanted for nothing except more time to stay longer. Lovely expansive large glass windows to enjoy the scenery. Great location, secluded with easy access to Marg. River Town. No dislikes at this property. Everything is perfect.
- Jasmine (9/5): Stunning property, nice and relaxing -
