Warren (6/5): Noisy traffic, misleading advertising by Booking.com, too expensive for what we received. - Clean with good facilities, tea making, utensils and bathroom. Extremely noisy from passing traffic, the worst in over 50 years of travelling. Unable to change rooms, as manager said booked out, yet there seem to be a number vacant at night. Manager was critical because I booked through Booking.com, should have booked directly saving $78. Also Booking.com stated breakfast available, NOT so anymore. Doubtful that we will use Booking.com in future.

I will note if you want a view from the window our room was facing the outer wall, but it did let in plenty of light and made for good privacy. Comfortable bed and bedding. Shower was heavenly. As to be expected they don’t clear rubbish from your room; But conveniently nearby the rooms there is a big bin to put in your rubbish. You will need to wash your own dishes in the bathroom sink; They do provide washing liquid and sponge. Not much bench space in kitchen area.

Cooked BBQ for tea and egg and bacon sandwiches for brekky. Pool was fantastic. Cool but fantastic once you were in. Only has a bar fridge. Lucky we had our Coleman esky for the beers :;)

This is the first time we had been allocated a room at front of the property on the highway and the traffic noise was very loud. We have stayed here quite often over many years and we think it's time the furnishings were updated. Prices have gone up quite a bit too!

Michelle (5/5): Passable - Clean, beds comfortable and electric blanket on one side was appreciated as it was freezing. The towels were new and super fluffy. Hotel was basic but clean and met our need for a few nights for the Rugby State Cup. Only issue was we had a guy next door chain smoking out the front, so whenever we walked outside to see the other half of our family in the other room next door, the smoke came into our room and it stunk. He sat there for hours smoking for 2/3 nights which wasn't pleasant at all. We tried to email the hotel through booking.com and it didnt work. We left super early that morning so didnt get a chance to speak to the hotel. It says no smoking in the rooms but did not enjoy the smoking of the guest on the other side of us. Slightly noisy at night next to the main road too.

kaylasutton (10/5): Ideal disability accessible accommodation! - Such a big difference between disability access and wheelchair accessible and this place accommodates both brilliantly. As a power chair user the room was ideal space wise and comfortable. Everything is accessible from the kitchen area to the bathroom. Perfect for independent wheelchair users and additionally perfect for those with carers, with the second room containing two beds. Every doorway entry is flat, ideal for manual chairs as well as power chairs. Bathroom is very accommodating to shower chairs with easy left side access for morning care and routines, includes a multi layer metal storage unit on wheels, perfect for storing items that need to be moved around the bathroom. The staff are amazing and so happy to help and assist. I’ve stayed primarily at the Quest and can say confidently that this accomodation really outdoes that chain in many way and mostly because the staff are very friendly and person oriented rather than big business and money focused. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be back.

Shane (7/5): good - All very good and no complaints really and met expectations Just the AC was only in the main dining and not in rooms and one of the rooms had no fan and the floor was dirty to walk on as our feet were black from walking on the lino.

Extra towels, salt and pepper, crockery etc Free guest laundry a huge +++! Cute swimming pool and BBQ area. Nice 30mins walk to city centre and along Macquarie River

The rooms were clean, comfortable, and affordable, with cozy beds and pillows that ensured a great night’s sleep. The location is convenient, being close to Club Dubbo. The bathroom was spotless, and the towel warmer was a lovely touch. Breakfast was delicious, and Ross was incredibly accommodating throughout our stay. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend staying here!”

Lisa (9/5): Comfortable and covenient, can't fault the customer service, it is awesome. - Awesome customer service since we were so late due to unforeseen circumstances when checking in. Ross made sure we had what we needed and was very accommodating to our needs given the time we eventually arrived. The only issue I ever have at Akuna is the parking as other guests always seem to take the parks near my room and I have to park away from the door. Otherwise everything was great.
