Marianne (10/5): Gorgeous! - The house was gigantic! It was a very nice old school guesthouse with new amenities. There were a lot of supplies prepared to cook your own breakfast and cheese and dips for if you want a mid night snack. Bed and pillow were comfortable and the surroundings were magnificent! We saw a bunch of kangaroos in their natural habitat. Nothing! There is no wifi or reception so have that in mind. Good to bring some boardgames or download some movies on your iPad. Or read one of the many books they supply!

Kitchen was stocked with everything we could possibly need. Furniture was so comfy and had a very country comfort vibe. Really loved the property for walks and peace and quiet. We didn't know any wifi was available and had no signal. Lighting wasn't very bright. We would have liked a tv.

Anna-Marie (10/5): A perfect getaway close to Mudgee. - What a beautiful stay! We are so sorry we only stayed for one night. The location was quiet and secluded. The guesthouse was beautifully furnished and comfortable. A delightful fire, along with local wines available for purchase were much appreciated. A very generous supply of breakfast items was provided, as well as many options of tea and coffee. Only 10 minutes from Mudgee. Thanks to Robert (Franz) for making us welcome. We’ll be back! Nothing to dislike.

Jeffrey (10/5): - Having lived on a similar rural acreage for close to 40 years we had some idea of what to expect. This stay far exceeded our expectations, a stay of only two days. Upon arrival instantly approached by the host, Robbie, a most charming and obliging host. There is nothing that is not supplied in the way of food, beverages and household amenities. To arrive there is as much as arriving at home. Top marks for Robbie's hospitality. 5 stars!
Christian (8/5): - We really enjoyed our stay at Wildwood Guest House in Mudgee. The setting was peaceful and the slow combustion fire was absolutely fantastic — perfect for a cosy evening. Unfortunately, there was no TV, which was a bit disappointing, especially as the listing mentioned Wi-Fi, but it wasn’t available. If you don’t have it, you really shouldn’t say you do. That said, the host Rob was fantastic — welcoming, helpful, and a real highlight of the stay.

This is a wonderful property with lovely hosts, I just wish I figured out how to get the WiFi working as my Optus coverage was out of range but maybe that was a blessing!
Barry (10/5): If you want to experience a country stay in style, this is it. - This suited us perfectly. What you see in the promo is exactly what you get and then some. You are taken back to an era of comfortable country style in a large homestead. The secluded bush setting with it’s wonderful birdsong was a great way to recharge your batteries. We were spoiled with choice for our breakfast. Our friendly hosts were great. Would definitely come back again in a heartbeat. No issues!

Clifford (9/5): It's a lovely quiet haven suitable for just relaxing. - We had to cook our own breakfast but everything was provided, all very fresh. The large fireplace was excellent and the living room amazing. A very cosy cottage and quite a lovely surprise. There was no internet working and had to go outside for any mobile coverage. There is no TV, but that's probably a good thing.

Natasha (10/5): Exceptional - I cannot recommend this guesthouse highly enough. It was charming, comfortable, warm and clean. At every turn the owners were incredibly thoughtful - fires were lit for us before we arrived and during our stay, the kitchen was well equipped and provisioned with more than ample delicious food and the beds were some of the comfiest we have slept in. I lost a sentimental piece of jewellery over the course of the weekend - I wasn’t sure if I may have misplaced it in the house - and the owners very willingly and kindly spent the day after our stay searching high and low for it (finally found elsewhere in Mudgee - and they were very good humoured about it!). I would love to go back, it’s a true gem.

Chaoze (5/5): Passable - The biggest problem with this accommodation is that it doesn't have Internet. The landlord, who lives next door, said, "No internet., but you can walk out to my room and there is Internet." That is to say, the landlord has the Internet, but the guests who paid the money did not have the Internet. He also told me that not many of the people who come here need Internet. In the Internet age, if there is no network, can we still live? So the price is too high to recommend.

Crevan (5/5): Great location if you want to go off grid, but not what we anticipated/wanted - Very private and quiet. We had the entire place to ourselves. Kitchen was reasonably well stocked. A good assortment of games and some reading material to chose from. No wi-fi inside and limited signal outside until the end of the driveway/main road. The ad indicated wi-fi was available. Also, no TV. So nothing to do, other than read. While breakfast was provided we had to prepare it ourselves. The stove in the lounge room was very smoky and hard to keep lit.

Plan to return with friends for a long weekend - The parkland setting just minutes from Mudgee, the spacious lounge with wood fuel stove and full kitchen facilities with a well stocked fridge for breakfast and snacks. Jason (10/5): Mudgee Countryside - Wildwood is conviently located just outside of Mudgee though centrally located to all the vineyards and only a short drive to the restaurants in town. The guesthouse is set back into the bush along a dirt road. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quite taking frequent walks into the surrounding countryside, we spotted mobs of kangaroos, red-neck wallabies, countless birds and an echidna. The daily cooked breakfast was also a delight and a great way to start the day!

The house was spotless and the kitchen was very well stocked with nice touches such as fresh fruit and biscuits and all you could want for a great breakfast. The guest house is very quite as you are on acreage so you can relax away from the TV,Internet and the phones. The guest house has 4 bedrooms and suits a group of friends. Will be back again.
