- Lee (8/5): Great location, easy parking, and a clean room, but the communal area was a bit disappointing - The location was ideal. Close enough to walk into town and to the beach, but far enough to be away from all the noise. There was secure parking at the unit which was convenient. Inside the unit itself was also nice and clean. The lounges/chairs on the deck of our unit and the lounges/chairs in the communal/pool area were all very old, stained and filthy which made us not want to use them. They are absolutely ready for replacement. The BBQ was rusty and dirty which was also disappointing as we had planned to use it but were turned off by the idea when we saw it, also could do with being replaced. Overall it just felt like a bit of a neglected space, but we did notice in town that the whole resort is currently up for sale, so perhaps that's why there's not much care being given to its upkeep. The bed quilt in our unit was in between two separate sheets rather than inside an enclosed quilt cover which was a bit strange and meant we could see some of the stains on the quilt. Communication with the host wasn't great, we messaged a question prior to our visit and got no response to it other than the standard automated messages about checking in. There was a warning in the room that you'd be charged $30 if you don't empty your bin and wash any glasses you use in the unit which is a weird AirBnB style trend I don't appreciate. We likely would have done that anyway, but the threat of a fine if we didn't felt a bit much.

Everything was unlocked and you could walk into unmade room and other made up rooms. No one was available to talk to on the number that was left. No idea whether we would have a room for the night. Eventually contacted by villa manager 3 1/2 hours after check in time and given upgrade to another villa

- Ian (2/5): Disappointing stay and misleading photos - Very disappointed with our stay. Photos are very misleading and does not represent the place at all. It seems like the place hasn't had anything done to it until it opened. Dirt everywhere, duvet badly stained and the duvet not replaced after numerous requests. Nobody at reception and no responses to countless messages and follow ups. Iron shot dirt from it when I tried to iron our clothes. Barbecue extremely dirty and not in a usable state. Mold in the bathroom and stained seats outside which we had to cover to sit. Basin would drain when the tap was on for more than a second. Cheap shower curtain that got sucked in on your leg while showering as the toilet exhaust was above the shower. Scaled shower head. There was a For Sale sign outside so it seems like the owners are completely done with the place. Very disappointed given the money we spend and that this was the accommodation for my partners 30th surprise. I stayed in drifter hostel 7 years ago in Byron Bay town which was of a much higher standard and for a fraction of the price. Granted that is a hostel but they shouldn't be outdoing a boutique hotel on cleanliness.

The three bedroom house was very spacious, well equipped and as advertised. There is very limited parking on the premises but plenty of street parking at the front entrance. Location was perfect. It is close and walkable to shops and dining. The property manager was very helpful when we realised that we have left an earbud in the property post check out. They responded quickly via SMS that they have found the earbud and post it to us without charging us any postage.

We turned on the air-conditioner when we arrived to warm up the room a little, then couldn't turn it off. We changed batteries in the remote and tried everything we could think of, but in the end had to leave it on overnight, which made the room too hot. Also, one of the bed lamps lightbulbs was missing, but this was not too much of a problem.

When using the shower, the water would spill out onto the tiles and as there wasn't much air flow, the tiles in the bathroom would stay wet for a while, making it uncomfortable when walking around. Water in the shower wasn't very hot either.
- Brenna (5/5): Good location - The bed was good and the staff were lovely Pretty expensive, the bathroom was a little old and needed a freshen up there was a musky smell. The dooner and blanket were dirty and needed a good wash

- Simon (10/5): Cute and good location. - Really cute place. I mean it is was good and environment was fun. Good walking distance to the beach. Free parking inside the property and on surrounding streets. Only thing I’d suggest taking your own pillow if you don’t like them too hard. Bed was really comfortable though.
- Jarrad (7/5): Over all it was a nice villa for a short stay. - The property was just like the photos and close to the CBD of Byron. There was very limited secure parking but we did find a spot out the front in the road. Only negative thing about the room was we couldn’t connect to live TV but all the streaming services worked well
- Chris (6/5): - So on this occasion I specifically chose to book at this place because of the spa/ hot tub that it had advertised but alas there was no spa/hot tub anywhere. This was very disappointing and will not be booking here again. The rest of the place was satisfactory but I paid a premium for something that was not there so overall has left a bad taste in my mouth and will be seeking a fefund

- Alice (8/5): Cozy hidden hotel - We liked the location close to the city, the swimming pool and the easy covered parking. The room is very cute too. And the personnel was so welcoming. It could be more equipment in the kitchen. The baby bed works but not amazing.

- Lorayne (9/5): We had a really lovely stay at the Azur. The room and bathroom was lovely and clean as advertised. - We loved the style and decor of the room and bathroom facilities. We also loved the outdoor seating areas and pool. It wasn’t clear if breakfast was provided although there was plenty of bread, muesli and coffee pods provided in the communal kitchen area. Also some decaffeinated coffee pods would have been lovely.
- Helen (9/5): We had a lovely stay ….. just wish it had been for longer ! - The room are lovely and spacious and the decor was beautiful. Lovely large decking area outside with view of the pool. Easy 10 minute walk into town / beach. There was nothing we didn’t like. The only comment I can make is I would have liked conditioner and body lotion in the bathroom.
- Brian (9/5): Lovely units with a pool, sunny veranda, a comfortable bed and great bathroom. - Great Location with a lovely pool, though the water was cold in April it was refreshing. The shared kitchen with provisions for a basic breakfast was a bonus. The limited number of off-street parking spaces with a first in policy.
