Guest Reviews
- Sarah (6/5): - Unfortunately the room stunk of cigarette. Even with the front door open for hours still didn’t go away. Apart from that, cabin and facilities was ok.
- Mandy (6/5): - We booked two carbine, one of the carbine had thousands of ants in the kitchen’s cupboard
- Debbie (8/5): Good for an overnight stay - Happy with our it smelt rather new thou it was small two bedrooms with a kitchen small dining table with four chairs Nice shower Strange that I booked for four people the bunks were not made we were asked if four we’re staying who I said yes that’s why I booked for four a woman came back with linen for us to make the bed wasn’t very friendly
- Vichet (8/5): - Great location and activities in nearby popular attractions. My only gripe is that people are allowed to smoke on the property which brings the question should passive smoking be allowed? The owner should have a designated shelter for smokers since it can cause cancer.
- Loretta (8/5): - Everything was lovely only issue was no face washers to go with the towels
- Heidi (6/5): - I think the permanent tenants make this accommodation look and feel a little rundown. The cabin itself, while clean and tidy, was very ordinary with the bunk room very dark and no air.
- Rachael (8/5): - Quirky place to stay. Lovely owners.
Very Old cabins but clean and spacious.
Take ear plugs as its very close to the main road and a lot of traffic all hours. But also very easy to find and access.
Enough cooking facilities and crockery for a basic stay.
Great little cafe onsite for breakfast and lunch. Very big waffles and very very sweet!
Great miniature village {free to visit} and gift shop onsite. Clog carving demo too. Great fun morning.
- Jesslyn (10/5): - It’s close the the hwy and the staff were lovely. This was a great convenient stop
- Michelle (10/5): - The whole property is very well maintained. My cabin was clean and comfortable, the pool was spotless and the cafe has really good coffee and delicious food. I would definitely stay here again.
- Leonie (8/5): - Local to all tourist areas however the cabins need updating. Lovely and clean but old.
- Lesley-Anne (10/5): - Hot water wasn't working so had to shower elsewhere.
- Lesley-Anne (6/5): - Close to the restaurant for meals & motorway.
- Keryy (10/5): - Really loved Big Oma's Coffee House. Great meal options with big servings.
- Ross (8/5): - All good, perfect for what we needed - a bed and a shower for the night.
- Phuong (10/5): - Very cute and clean.
- Emily (10/5): - Clean, comfortable and good value
- Lynette (8/5): - Convenient location for what we needed.
- Pamela (8/5): - The staff were very friendly, the cost was good
- Leanne (6/5): - Bedspread looked like it had never been washed. Trundle bed was made up. Had to ask for sheets and make up ourselves. Otherwise ok. Makes do for a quick over nighter on your way up north or down south.
- Elle (4/5): - There was stains on the floors, walls and ceilings, stains in the sink from leaking tap, mould on the shower curtain. The night I arrived I was unable to shower because the person who checked out that day used all the hot water, the following morning I showered for less than 10min and the hot water gone. There were stains on the lounge and it was so old and used that when you sat in the cushions, you were sucked into the lounge.
- Peter (10/5): - Although on a main highway there is not much traffic noise so sleeping was easy on the comfortable bed.
- lionel (10/5): - Easy to reach location, nice cabin, facilities good, short drive to city pubs for meals.
- Christine (8/5): - Loved the Dutch small village, accommodation adequate for our needs, good access to Harbour and lovely beach and walk
- Pu (8/5): - Good for a short stay
- Barbara (10/5): - It was all good there was nothing not to like
- Holly (8/5): - Positives - It was a budget price, central location to shops and attractions, parking under cabin so covered from sun and rain, clean pool, on-site daytime cafe and clog shop. Air con worked and tv too. Good hot shower and toilet ok.
Mediocre - Internally cabin cupboards are old and “stale”, mattresses on triple bunk thin foam, wifi signal didn’t reach our cabin. However, I would stay there again if budget requires.
- Holly (8/5): - Good that parking was under cabin for rain or heat. Old style inside cabin but bathroom newish. Main bed mattress uncomfortable and 3 bunk bed mattresses very thin foam. Air con and wifi didn't work. Bush turkeys or ibis walked on the roof! But would stay there again as budget price.
- gregory (8/5): - Did not like a lot about this place rooms need a lot of work walls need to be cleaned beds to hard.
- lionel (10/5): - Was surprised to find all needed amenities on hand. Had a good night's sleep on a comfortable bed. Found climbing steps to load and unload car was the only drawback. Still, got my exercise after a day's driving.
- Daniel (8/5): - Very friendly staff, nice views
- ALISON (8/5): - Excellent location. Good value for money.
- Weldon (6/5): - truck road noise is continuous allnight
- David (4/5): Sleepless in Coffs - Unfortunately, I had neighbours who had a screaming match all night, so I didn't get any sleep. I eventually got up at 3.00 am and left on the next leg of my journey.
- MANDAR VASANT (10/5): - Friendly staff and clean property. Within reach for most of sightseeing.
- Christopher (2/5): Beware - I left 3 shirts behind by mistake ...when i called the next day I was told to collect my shirts on the way back home the following week. When i called in no one could find my clothes although the night managers wife said she saw the cleaner with some shirts. I had to leave with the assurance my shirts would be forwarded to me ...but when i phoned to enquire about my clothes as soon asI said who i was the manager John .pretended he could not hear me ...this happened 4 times ...Do Not Trust these People
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The property was dirty inside and out, I had to take the filters out to feel some air flow from the A/C. Bunks were dirty, it does not have a late check-in key box but was lucky to have the staff help me get in after hours. Location is good, close to the plaza and only a ten minute walk to the CBD (or a $8 Uber) I work in maintenance within the tourism industry so I'd pick up on a lot more than mentioned. The staff in the restaurant basically told us not to bother ordering because they close in 10mins. We were questioned about what we were doing when standing in the private driveway of the cabin and having a chat and a beverage. Price was reasonable but the quality of the accommodation was around 3/10
- Verified traveler (8/5): - cabins need updating . some fly screens missing breakfast was amazing .great staff and service
- Verified traveler (4/5): - So bad experience..Bed was uncomfortable..did not properly clean the cabin..very disappointed
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good friendly people nice location value for money
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly staff. Very accomodating. There was a cafe on site, so nice and easy to get a coffee
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The Miniature Village was excellent and the shop and Café very good. Unfortunately the Cabin was very old and quite dirty. The shame of it was that it would not have taken long to give it a good scrub. Overall the facilities were good so it's a shame the condition of the cabin ruined what would have been a very good experience.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We always stay here because we like it and love the Dutch character
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very friendly staff/owners. Great miniature Holland with windmills and all is part of the camping ground. We enjoyed our stay very much.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The cabin we stayed in had mites and cockroaches. The room smelt of cigarette smoke. There was gunk in the shower that had not been cleaned
- Vicky (4/5): - Swimming Pool in a dreadful state.
Sleeper couch in cabin ready for the dump. A disgrace.
Vent in bathroom. Clogged with "bits". Long overdue for a clean.
The shop, the miniature Dutch Village and restaurant all very nice. Unfortunately cannot say the same for the accommodation
- Cas (6/5): - Was ok but a bit dirty and down graded. Smelly cabin and overall poor quality for price wepaid
- Helen (4/5): - The people at the front desk were lovely, but the accommodation itself is so run down. It's like the cabins havent been touched since bring built. They are currently building a retaining wall so they don't collapse into the water behind them.
The cabin was really old, smelt like mould, and had water damage at the vanity near bunk beds. Our bed felt like we were sleeping on the floor. The vinyl floor had a few areas with tears. The drain in the shower still had someone's hair in it from a previous stay and we shared the accomm with a few free loading ants.
The walls are paper thin so you can hear all the traffic on the highway and we had the pleasure of listening to the person next door all night while he made phone calls, dragged stuff across the floor and swore.
I wish I could say something more positive, but we literally got up the next morning and left before 7am after barely getting any sleep. Quite disappointed as we were really looking forward to the stay based on the 4 out of 5 rating, photos and previous reviews.
To end on something positive, the location is handy for the highway. The miniature village was also cute. Assuming most of the maintenance goes into this.
- Pam (8/5): - Close to everything. Dog friendly. Cafe on site. Miniature village on site. A few things in cabin could be updated.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Bit noisy from highway otherwise good for a night.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean. Friendly staff, well priced , great pool and great for our over night stay
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Was easy to find. Staff was friendly and efficient. Cabin was very clean and in good condition. Also cooking utensils available. Great Stay
- Kevin (2/5): - Cabin was very dated and looks dirty. Wall near table looks like it has spillage on it. My wife got bitten by fleas or bedbugs. Mattress was very uncomfortable. Pool area was nice and Clog Barn demonstrations were good. Road noise was terrible, too close to the Pacific Highway.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The clogs and barns very different in a nice way the pool was nice but needs some work aswell as the cabins but I read they started upgrading which is great I would defiantly stay again customer service was fantastic
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly convenient central to everything. We were very happy with our stay.
- Michael (10/5): Great place to stay on a budget. - Friendly staff, Clean cabins, Affordable prices. Will definitely return in the future!
- Josh (6/5): - Property was ok first i entered in cabin , it was smelly . I won’t stay again
- Disappointed (2/5): - The cabin was passed it's use by date! Beds very uncomfortable, kids had to make their own bunk beds - plastic mats, hot, air con cold in main room but still very hot in top bunk, graffiti on walls in bunk area. Bathroom toilet rocked and unsteady, roof clearly previously had mould on it. Kitchen hot water tap didn't work and cold tap dripped - had to place sponge under it to stop the noise! Wifi not available, can only log in at the cafe - not good enough to reach the cabin. Waterway behind cabin stagnant water, green and smelly!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Couldn’t find the reception on arrival as the host was busy making a show. The pool didn’t have the height of water labelled and son nearly drowned. The room we stayed had mould and the vinyl floor was peeling off. Liked the backdrop mountains and building styles though which gave the impression it was worth the stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was good for the convenience of what we needed for the stay
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The cabin was not well maintained. The bed extremely uncomfortable.
The park itself was nice and my children enjoyed the pool.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Quite dated and tired, but convenient and affordable for a cabin just for one night. Pool is tired too, needs repairs on tiles and surface, kids scratched themselves a few times. Cabins really need upgrading, talk about a flashback to my childhood!! Impossible stove. Hot water in shower comes out scalding, extremely dangerous! Husband was burned on the chest, very lucky my kids were not in there at the time. Convenient for a single night stop on our way through.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Booked this proprty last minute due to the location on where we needed to be. We arrived early and was able to check in as the cabin was ready. We booked through expedia which was an advance payment but was asked on arrival if we had paid. We booked a two bedrommed delux cabin, we was given cabin 36. I would not call this a delux but more of a standard. It was very clean but the oven could do with replacing and also the sofa bed the oven was rusty and the s9fa bed you could not sit on as it collapsed in the middle. We had requested a travel cot on our booking but again they had no record of this.when asked at reception the gentleman swiftly took me to a storage room for one. The cot they had provided i think must have been used as a play pen by the previous guests has it was covered in chocolate. We decided to have breakfast on site before we keft and the food was lovely. For one night the accommodation was ok but woukd not have wanted to stay any longer. The site its self was very nice and the stsff was great. Was just exoecting a little bit more when decribed as a delux.
- Heidi (4/5): - The staff were lovely and helpful but unfortunately, the cabin was terribly old and rundown. There was dust everywhere and it is in serious need of revamp. The bunk bed was terrible and very old. I’m disappointed as it was way overpriced for what we got. 😞
- The (8/5): - Cabin was clean, everything was as expected, no nasty surprises!
Staff were very friendly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Its a cute place to stop. My children loved the little walk around the minature Holland Village. Coffee shop on site is very handy.
- Lori (6/5): - Pool was cute. Diner has great food and very friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Walling distance, to areas, friendly people,, our cabin was tiny, beds shocking
- Verified traveler (4/5): - It’s not worth for the cost I paid, kitchenette doesn’t even have the items which usually other motel do.
Amenities are not in usable condition
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Property was very clean. My family of 4 stayed in the cabin very comfortably. Loved having the cafe right out the front! Had a huge serving of pancakes the next morning. My children were amazed with the caravan park. Would definitely recommend!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Central location, nice staff. Affordable and quiet
- Sheila (10/5): Good value - Very friendly budget accommodation. Clean cabin and comfy bed with everything you need and a lovely venue as well. The clog making demonstration and minature village were an added bonus and the coffee was great. We will definitely stay again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Bed old, hard and noisy. Very dated interior.
Location not bad.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Never again I was very disappointed, noisy, rooms so out of date and falling apart.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - They were standard and clean and comfortable(bed) but the heating did not work, there were not enough blankets and we were cold most of the night which made it very difficult to sleep, in summer would be fine to stay here but for us, they cold really affected us
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff were welcoming, happy and helpful. Children were stoked with the swimming pool.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location. Clean. Quiet. Nice and friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean and came with everything you need for a good night’s sleep
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was a lovely place to stay in overnight i just wish we had more time to look around but that was our fault not the place
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff are very friendly and helpful.Cabins are older but clean and tidy.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Good location easily accessible close to everything, friendly staff, however very old and outdated. Utensils were dirty, couch was filthy, needed a good clean stay elsewhere if you can. We were not expecting 5 star but very disappointing and over priced for what it was we stayed in the delux room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The standard cabins are showing their age now, but they are functional and practical
- Sarah (8/5): Good for a stopover - Old decor but comfy and clean, all we needed for one night . Good location near night food markets and big banana. If you are sensitive to noise but be too close to highway noise for you but we had no issue.
- Maddie (4/5): - The property was not so clean. It was very small and doesn’t look same like in pictures. AC was not effective. Toilets were not so clean. I would like to have a refund. I won’t recommend this to anyone!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Property was generally clean and staff were friendly. The cabins need a good spring clean and pool needs a few missing tiles fixed that kids could cut themselves on.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I rate this property 8 out of 10.service is good, friendly staff, and close to the main attraction.
- Shirley (6/5): - Trailers or caravans were small and old. Needs to be updated. Pool was small as well. Staff were friendly.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Run down room beds not made office closed and expensive for the conditions
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Comfortable stay, nice and clean Cabin, conveniently located.
- AI (8/5): - Very central to everything in Coffs, prompt and efficient staff. Clean and basic great value for money
- Verified traveler (10/5): - staff always friendly - ready to help with any Questions
- Lucy (2/5): - Power went out twice. Room was small. There were stains on the sheets
- Heather (8/5): Interesting Place to Stay - We enjoyed our stay, but the cabin we had was very old and needed some running repairs. And the bed wasn't the most comfortable. But saying that, the café was a great bonus and all staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The little Dutch Village attached was fabulous for both old and young. The swimming pool looked very inviting, but a little cool for us to take a dip.
- Tau (10/5): - The room was nice & tidy when we arrived it had all the amenities there..never got to eat in there restaurant thou and the pool was nice considering the hot weather we had during the weekend..oh & close to the shops as well..
- Gail (8/5): - Very close to everything. This place also sports a wonderful quaint dutch village and a pancake house , a great gift shop and the world's only clog shaped pool . There are facilities to do your washing and drying and the showers are clean and powerful. I will stay there again...
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Right in the middle of Coffs Harbour. It also had an on-site shop and cafe. Very friendly staff!
- Josh (8/5): - Extremely friendly staff. The miniature houses are AMAZING. All built by the owner's dad.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - We just needed an overnight stay.
Staff were really nice.
Beds where not made .we had to make the beds ourselves.
Very worn out cabin .
- Noelene (10/5): - It was a lovely place to stay and I would definitely stay there again
- Familyof5 (4/5): - We found the people lovely and the rooms clean but very very outdated. The pool area was really unusable - missing tiles, dirty, etc. The Clog Barn building was the only building that looked like it had been maintained. We grew up visiting this park when we were very little and were shocked at how it seemed to remain lost in time.
- Derk (8/5): Handy on highway - We got to buy Dutch things and have a nice breakfast , the room was comfortable
