• Lily-Ann (3/5): Definitely could be better. Staff are nice though. - The lady at the reception counter was nice and courteous. Very welcoming. Had a smile on her face. Free parking on-site. On the beach front. The room smelt like mould. The pillows were very thin. Outdated furniture. The bed was on wheels and moved through the night when one of us had to use the toilet and come back. There was no soap provided. Just body lotion and 2in1 shampoo/conditioner. No chargers by the bedside so partner could not use his sleep aid machine.

• Vicci (5/5): - Scot was extremely helpful in all of our requests and the location right on the Strand was excellent. The beds were very comfortable. The room desperately needs updating. The microwave was rusty and pipes exposed in the toilet. This sometimes gave the room a smell. There was nowhere to sit inside the room except on the beds. The walls are very thin so we could hear the people next door and upstairs just moving around and general talking.

• Kara (8/5): Great location and perfect for anyone with pets! Would stay again - Great location and the Shorehouse restaurant out the front is one of the best on the Strand. We had a dog friendly room so was also great to know that they had dog friendly tables for dinner

• Jennifier (5/5): Pet friendly rooms need a good cleaning - One of the few pet friendly Motels in Townsville that is on the Strand. Huge parking area off the Strand. We were towing a huge trailer and were able to safely park up the back for the night and not get in anyone elses way. Athough we did us a pet friendly room Pet hair was everywhere. We own 2 short haired dachshound and there was long black pet (very course so we know it was animal) everywhere the floor the bathroom and on the bed linen, Thankfully it wasn't in the bed. Husband photographed it so we would be charged a cleaning fee for excessive hair.

Slept like a baby. - The location to the swimming facilities on the Strand plus the wonderful Shore House restaurant make Shore Drive the perfect spot. Renovations going on, tradies polite & patient, but did not impact on my short stay. The overpowering smell Of bleach upon entering & which grew stronger the closer I walked to the bathroom.

The ceiling fan was not flush with the ceiling, open cavity into ceiling. Tap in bathroom not suitable to fill the kettle or jug for the fridge. Had to fill using the shower head. Rooms in need of an update.

• AJP64 (8/5): GREAT LOCATION - WATCH THE PARKING - The pool was very inviting, and we had a great time, especially the granddaughter. The water was a lovely temperature and the pool was clean - it's a shame the waterfall was not switched on. We were on the 3rd floor. Getting down was O.K. - going up, not so much. Guessing this is why it was so cheap. Having quite a large 4WD, the parking is not ideal; however, we were told about an alternative location only 2 doors up. Luckily, we didn't need it after we returned from dinner that evening.

• Cassie (5/5): Have always loved this place....but not this time! - Location, cleanliness and staff I've stayed here multiple times and this was the first time I didn't enjoy it. On arrival I couldn't check in until 2.40pm even though I'd called in earlier and they knew I'd driven quite a way and hoping to check in before 2 if possible. Even then then floor was wet and I slipped near the kitchenette. I was in the one room wedged between reception and the restaurant kitchen. The main electrical board was also right next to the door. From first thing in the morning there were up to 5 electricians completely blocking the door, and obviously needed to make noise while working. Then there were the delivery trucks to the restaurant kitchen.. Between the tradies, reception and restaurant it was impossible to get a park near my room. Just when I thought I could get some quiet, at night there was the noise from the kitchen and a squeaky cart taking things from the kitchen to the restaurant and back past the room. I'd like to stay there again....but avoid room 37 if you are after a relaxing stay. The tradies and staff were all lovely and just doing their jobs, but it's probably best not to make this room available, or make clear it's challenges at the time of booking.

Slept extremely well - The beds were super comfy and the upstairs room at the back of the property was quite The ironing board needed replacing as the legs were detached from half the board. The bathroom sign says conserve water yet there was no plug to wash dishes. No hair dryer
