• 46luckyl (2/5): Avoid - Avoid at all cost. Booked and paid in advance for an executive queen room. On arrival, they seamed slightly surprised we had turned up, given we had made some adjustments to our booking leading up to the period of it being non refundable. Mind you there was no communication from them regarding our booking so not sure why the confusion. Especially given we had paid for the room and it was not refundable after a certain date. At check in we were apparently ‘upgraded’ to a larger room for more space. This room was a family room with 3 beds which we clearly did not need. There were only 2 of us, hence our original booking for an executive queen room would have been perfect. This family room was the furthest thing from an upgrade. A complete joke. It was the closest room to the highway, (number 16) which other guests have repeatedly warned others about. We booked only 1 night to break journey from our long drive from Sydney to Gold Coast. It was a totally disrupted night, with the noisy highway basically on our doorstep. We had the worst possible sleep. The provided ear plugs were totally useless. Furthermore, the room wreaked of an awful stench and there was mould on bathroom ceiling exhaust fan . The beds were not comfortable and I question the cleanliness of the linen. Pretty sure the room was not freshened up before we arrived. I can only assume they gave our original room (which we paid for) away, thinking we were not going to turn up. When we did, they went to plan B, giving us the worst possible room, yet masking it as an ‘upgrade’. We would not recommend this place to anyone.

• robertmA411FG (10/5): CBD is a good place to stay - CBD is an excellent play to stay in Coffs Harbour. The room and facilities were very modern and more than adequate. CBD reception was very friendly and helpful. It is only a short walk to the main retail area and the hospitable C-Rex Club where we had an enjoyable meal. It is a very convenient location and despite being close to a main road, is relatively quiet.

The room is all you could want and is clean and modern. Reception was very friendly and helpful. We have stayed here before and would stay again. Despite being close to a main road it is a relatively quiet location. Book early so not to miss out. Liked it all.

• FJVLS (6/5): Convenient, Economical Overnight Choice - We selected this place based upon TA reviews and a need for economical overnight in Coffs Harbor. Checked all the boxes for a basic overnight stay. For context, we traveled with two large suitcases for a several week trip Down Under. This shaped our view of room sizes and bathroom counter space. Notes: - Friendly reception staff. - Clean, efficient room. - Free parking, free laundry, free internet. - Great bath towels! - The location is indeed in the CBD. Quite a few choices for food, drink, and entertainment within 3-4 blocks. - Located right next to A-1 highway as it goes through town. Makes it noisy outside, yet the room was quiet enough for a decent night’s sleep. - Satellite TV was spotty and unstable. - As a 20 room, small motel they operate with the business model of reception being manned about 0700-1900. - The rooms use standard keys. There is an additional chain latch from the inside. - There is not an in-room safe. - Laundry machine use is free. Obviously, you do the work. - Room was big enough for overnight; put suitcases on the other bed. Very little counter space. If you are looking for something more traditionally tourist, stay close to the water in Coffs Harbour. If budget rules, look around the CBD and consider his motel.

Lovely staff, and nice breakfast. The shower had wonderful water pressure. We didn’t like the heavy quilt on the bed. It was too hot, but too cool without. Needed a lighter cover for summer. Would be nice to have a ceiling fan, instead of having the aircon on constantly.
