Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very quiet with friendly staff. lots of off-street parking
NO WIFI
Room clean but very dated and compact.
Outside building and grounds very rundown. Weeds everywhere. Outside furniture very dirty. Gardener and handyman needed
- Stuart (8/5): - Very nice and clean accommodation at a budget price,
Convenient location and nicely heated on a cold winter night.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Very unprofessional, didn’t have our reservation due to overbooking.
The reception decor is in much need of updating, never saw the rooms.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room clean but old.
Express checkout for snow trips would be helpful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Perfect for our overnight stay. Cozy and warm. Ver quiet eventhough it is on the highway
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was quite at night, room was clean. Entrance to motel could do with a revamp big pot holes in driveway
- Verified traveler (4/5): - It wasn't clean . no TV stations. Shower very poor
Won't be staying there again
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good comfy bed and clean room at the right price.
Only issues I found was the tiny old school tv with set top box and the lack of lighting out side of a night time. If the tv’s were upgraded and the lights turned on outside this would be a great stay. Overall still very happy with my stay
- McLindell (6/5): - Very basic facilities and could do with some updating in decor but fine for just an overnight stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Nice motel, friendly staff. Only problem was that Cooma had -6 the night before and it took a long time for room to warm up.
- Katrina (10/5): Really clean and pleasant - It was really good
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Doing renovations. Very very cold. Heater worked. Electric blankets did not and water pressure in shower very poor.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bates Motel - Motel is a construction site, rooms are in poor condition and the general state of the place is run down.
- stace (10/5): Comfy and warm - Really warm. Comfy beds elect blanket was awesome. Affordable for family comfort. We were happy all round.
- Blackie (6/5): A room for the night - When we arrived at 6pm, the room was freezing cold. It took awhile to warm up and we had to use a towel to stop the cold air coming in from the outside door and shut the bathroom door. Unfortunately we could not work out how to stop the air con running on full air flow. This was quite noisy all night. In the double bed, only one of the electric blankets worked. The kids beds did not have electric blankets, so it would be worth opening up the bedding before sleeping so it could warm up once the room is warm.
It was basic and clean and would be better during late spring or early autumn when there are less extremes of temperature and you didn't have to rely on the air con.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Over night stop - Very basic and cheap, perfect for an over night stop
- Henri (8/5): Nice for a stopover on our way to the snow. - We were looking for a place between Canberra and Jindabyne and this suited us just fine. Not much in luxury but nice if you're looking for a bed to sleep on. Owners were friendly - you could even use this as a base to skiing
- Emily (8/5): - Simple but comfortable. Off the main road and relatively quiet.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Perfect for passing through to Snowy Mountains!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - nice place to stay for winter snow trip. the room has good heating and warm showers
- David (8/5): Good - Great electric blanket! Couldn't have survived without it.
- Kim (6/5): Reasonable hotel which provides adequate value for - Was a bit disappointed that the sign at the front was not lit up when we arrived at 7pm. Made it hard to see where the hotel was located.
- Adam (4/5): Old hotel poor quality - Room too small for 4 people , they only left two cups and one tea spoon , the cups were at least 40 years old , the beds are the worst I have ever seeped on in a hotel , I dint know what the staff member looks like She had a hood on the whole time I spoke to her , very poor experience
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great simple motel with added comforts - My partner and I have gone to the snowfields 5 trips this year staying at different "cheap" motels, and CCC Motor Inn was definitely at the top of the list. Yes, its simple but it is a motel after all and during peak snow season, sometimes you just need a clean shower and a place to sleep. But CCC Motor Inn had great service, location was perfect, ample parking, and peaceful considering its off the main highway. In the room we were provided with plenty of towels and blankets which is always fantastic, but the added electric blankets for all 5 beds was unbelievable and made a huge difference!
- Satisfied (6/5): NO WIFI. Far from the Snow Area / ACtivity - It's great hotel in a quiet little town. TV is PC monitor. No WIFI inside the room. Heater doesn't really warm up the room.
There's a bed warmer though. Near to the resto and central. There's a nice Thai restaurant nearby.
Thank you
- Verified traveler (6/5): Short stop-over on way to snow - The hotel room was old and cold. But the heating, blankets and electric blankets made the room cosy. Good value for money.
- Alex (8/5): Good cheap motel - Stayed here with my daughter for a weekend skiing Thredbo, when all closer accommodation was taken or $500 per night. The motel is in a great spot for the trip down, but expect at least 90 minutes to get to Thredbo and 70 minutes to get back. The Jindabyne traffic jam starts before 7.30am. Cooma has cheaper eating options than Jindabyne and Thredbo.
The motel is dated, but solid and warm with everything we wanted, except cooking facilities. Reception was a little hard to find, but the they made late check-in and early check-out very easy. If the snow is good, we may do this again this season.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Hotel staff were nice and help when needed.......
- cooma budget a (6/5): Close to the snow fields - Cheap room, basic facilities, room was dated but clean, friendly staff. Ideal for a one night stop-over when heading to the snow.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Great price but dont expect much - Shower water pressue was low.
Other than that, not bad.
- lyn (8/5): Clean comfy and warm - Great overnight stay on the way to the snow, glad we have booked it for the way home also
- Andy (6/5): Convenient location - The facilities isn't most complete (ie. no hair dryer, iron, meals. etc), but for a motel at this price I should not ask for more. Staff are friendly and rooms are comfortable. Would recommend if you aren't picky.
- Verified traveler (6/5): On the way to the snow - The room was conveniently located on the way to the snow, we could arrive late and check out early, no problem
- hilton (8/5): Nice budget motel - Very clean conveniently located, friendly staff, excellent for the price, would definitely stay again,
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice and cozy. Had warm electric blankets to keep us from cold. We werent expecting this level of comfort in a room booked a day before our trip.
- Joe (10/5): Nice hotel, great location and amazing staff. - I have stayed at Cooma Country Club Motor Inn a number of times over the years. The location is great, the staff are very friendly. Rooms are priced well too. Highly recommended.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was basic but cheap I would stay there again and recommend others to stay as well
- Young Couple (8/5): Very homely and welcoming - Really nice welcome from staff, beautiful setting, far enough from main road for barely any noise. Only issue I had was the bed was extremely firm. It was fine for one night and for less than $100 for the night I can't complain but I wouldn't have liked it if I were frail or injured.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient location, just travelling through - Just needed an overnight stop on the way through to Sydney
- Matt (10/5): Very quiet for a motor inn. - Check in and checkout was quick and simple. The room met expectations and the manager was very helpful. There was one problem with a new appliance that was faulty but he was able to find a perfect solution straight away.
Ps. Wotif might like to add another letter to their word 'cleaniness'.
- Jane (6/5): Great as a cheap option but very cold rooms - Check in and check out was easy. However the manner of the staff was very short and abrupt in contrast to other motels we have stayed in where they have been welcoming and friendly. When I alerted someone about problems with the power point in the room as we left, she looked annoyed that I was about to approach her.
The decor is extremely dated but it was very clean. Unfortunately the little fan heater just didn't warm the rooms enough especially with such thin blankets. Fortunately the electric blankets were adequate overnight. I think the owner makes cost cuts where it matters and this shows. Not a good sign when you see stolen shopping trolleys used as cleaning trolleys.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Intention of stay was only a quick overnight.
A basic room that met this need
- Verified traveler (2/5): Nightmare in cooma - It was a nightmare no outside lighting had to use phone to see, barthroom smelt we where charged $10 a night more than our son, grass was overgrown everywhere I could go on but not enough room,
- Clem (10/5): Lovely and quiet. I slept in! - Perfect. Lovely host and lovely room. That is all.
- anne (4/5): - I know it was cheep but heck I didnt expect to play sardines with two other adults.
- SteamWolf (8/5): Great service, good location, plenty of parking - Everything was excellent except the mattress which was like sleeping on an ironing board.
Will def stay again, especially as there is plenty of trailer parking. We are at Cooma every year for the SM1000 and it's hard to find a place we can park cars and trucks.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Was advertised as having a restaurant. When I arrived, there was no restaurant
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Ok for a stopover. Facilities a bit tired but clean and owner very welcoming.
- Brett (2/5): Dirty, broken and uncomfortable - Terrible from the start, abrupt check in, tv did not work, exposed wires coming out of the wall, heater did not work properly, shower tap fell off during my shower, only one electric blanket worked, ensuite smelt from the drain. Appalling, I wouldlove a refund.
- stephen (8/5): - cheap and cheerful
- Prue (6/5): Cheap hotel in Cooma - We were after a cheap motel before skiing. Easy to find. Thin walls so noisy night.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Overnight stay on the way to the snow. After a long day of driving we were just looking for a nice shower to freshen up and a clean warm bed. Although not terrible the hotel could have been better in both areas.
- Zoe (4/5): Fine for one night stay - friendly staff. Room was clean but bed was very hard.
- Darren (4/5): Convenient for summer stays only. - Hot shower did not work, only after insisting was it fixed. The TV did not work because the aerial wall fixing was pulled out of the wall with fixings not connected. The room was cold with a small plug in fan heater incapable of heating the large room with -4 temp out side.
- Monica (10/5): Nice and cozy place to stay :) - The facilities (hot water, room heater, bed heater, thick blankets) in the room were complete to keep us warm in this cold weather.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Last minute, good option - Basic basic, but did the job, just!!
Polite staff, location is easy to find.
TV may need some better instructions
- Alessia (6/5): Nice hotel close to the mountains - nice hotel plenty of parking and close to the mountains
- Scott (6/5): Good cheap and easy - Good little place to stay, easy check in & out and loads of parking. Was worried when the heater was tiny but she did a good job heating the room
Much cheaper than staying in Jindy on a sat night in snow season so it did the job :)
- Nelson (4/5): Basic - Basic room that was clean and tidy. Poor outside lighting and signage. Untidy grounds. Poor signage. Poor heating. Overall OK for the price but expected a bit better.
- orysia (8/5): Great position for ski holiday - Great Cooma location, easy to find. Very clean and proprietor extremely pleasant and helpful. Great place to stay with a family. Unfortunately room was very very cold and difficult to heat. Electric blankets were a lifesaver!
- Benny (6/5): Okay if you just want basics...
- Staff were pleasant and room was clean, but TV didn't work despite numerous attempts to fix it. Bunk beds were rock hard. Probably state of the art in the seventies, but definitely in need of revamp.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Motel room - Clean motel room, thank goodness for electric blanket, a very cold night.
- Gayle (8/5): Plenty of space to move around - It was a lovely house with moderate facilities. The children enjoyed the space and settled in easily as they felt instantly at home. This made our lives so much easier. The only drawback we found was that the heating was inadequate for the size of the house and there were two electric blankets missing from the two single beds in the children's bedroom. We had to snuggle them into our bedroom for the night with the electric blankets turned right up as the temp's went below 0
- kristy (6/5): - We stayed here as a base point when we visited the snow. Heater was a small blow heater that didn't really heat the room however the electric blanket was fantastic.
- Father Albert (2/5): Very basic, cold motel room with no WiFi. TotallyT - Enough said already. A dismal place to stay in in Cooma, near the snow. Avoid at all costs.
