Guest Reviews
- Susanne (10/5): - Safari Tents are spacious, clean and very nice but during the sunny hours it’s very hard work for the aircon - which means temperatures inside are getting quite high.
- Amy (8/5): - The main part of the resort was a bit run down. Our glamping tent was good, and at night there was zero light pollution. But the dinner menu was the same every night with one special. The special had curry in it every night.
- Karla (8/5): - Reception staff were helpful and friendly, accomodation was good, bunks were a little bit loose and we had no teaspoons to stir our hot drinks. We used the camp kitchen and bbq area which were great. The showers and toilets were clean. We sat down the beach near our accommodation and watched the sunset, beautiful location. Hotels.com advertised aircon in our tent which is not correct but this is not a reflection on Cygnet Bay.
- Allison (10/5): - We stayed in 2 safari cabins at the Divers Quarters and it was pure luxury, spectacular views and privacy, with our own ensuite bathroom, small fridge for drinks, and deck to watch the sunset. Short drive to restaurant and pool.
- David (10/5): - Restaurant staff terrible but al others were helpful and terrific!
- Lisa (8/5): - Great overnight stay in safari tent
- Chris (10/5): - I was in tent 5 at Divers camp. Great views all round from my bed! Tent 6 would be similar.
- Terina (8/5): - Garden area around tents was lovely
- Lachlan (10/5): - We had a great stay here with our baby in one of the safari tents. We loved the pool and the restaurant served tasty food. Safari tent was comfortable and air conditioning worked well. Some nice walks around the property (watch out for the crocs). Unfortunately couldn’t go on water tours as our baby is too young.
- Harold (10/5): - we stayed in a bay view safari tent. Generally it was very comfortable and the view was great. The furnishings are pretty basic and quite old. Bed was comfortable. The camp kitchen and surrounds were good and clean.
At the homestead the facilities including the restaurant were fine. Restaurant food was good.
Pearl farm tour was fun and factual but the highlight of the trip was the day cruise from Cygnet Bay to the horizontal falls. Spectacular!
- Pascale (10/5): - Loved our divers safari tent, very private and lovely view
- Jade (8/5): - I
- Howard (6/5): - We stayed in one of the Safari tents which were very comfortable and spacious for 2 people. Problem one is the size of the pool for a site shared by at least 3 dozen individual tents and campsites. 3 sun loungers, a 6 metre bench and a 2 seater chair are all the seating that's available. The pool itself is about 3x5 metres. Problem two is the menu choice at the restaurant, very limited if you are staying for more than 2 nights.
- Lydia (8/5): - A beautiful place and friendly staff!
But can’t lock your little house/tent from the outside and WiFi would only work at the reception.
- Robert (4/5): - We were not aware that our safari tent had no air con in 40 degree heat. The camp kitchen facilities appeared to be inoperable and due to staffing issues the dining options were very limited. One of our main reasons for our stay was to visit Cape Leveque and we found when we arrived that it was not possible to even turn down the newly upgraded road to the Cape. Very disappointing.
- ailsa (8/5): - Meals very good and size of meals excellent
- Maria (10/5): - Loved the location and loved our bay view tent.
- William and Sharyn (6/5): - Unable to take up accommodation as had to have visit to Broome hospital following incident at Mitchell Falls
- Gayle (2/5): - Sitting in the dining room at the table next to window dead flys on the sill. So imagined what the kitchen was like.
- Francis (10/5): - Safari tent was a great way to be close to nature and beach.
Definitely not disappointed.
electricity available and well equipped communal kitchen.
- Steven (8/5): - I loved the remoteness
- Silvano (10/5): - Great friendly service. Nothing is a problem for the staff at Cygnet Bay. Well done and I’m looking forward to staying at one of the new safari tents under construction.
- Margaret (10/5): - Beautiful location
- Robyn (10/5): Enjoyable isolation - Cygnet Bay has a terrific range of accommodation for holiday makers who enjoy north west isolation - own tents, own caravans, tents onsite or safari tents (on a raised platform with ensuite). This is what we enjoyed. Very comfy king bed, clean ensuite, wooden slat floor boards and a balcony. The upright fan was a necessity on an August afternoon - hot!! No air con. But, lots of bird life, lizards, glorious turquoise sea. We loved the waterfall trip into Talbot reef as the low tide rushed out - viewed the peak farm and islands galore. The restaurant has air con but the view and puff of breeze from the balcony meant we loved breakfast and dinner there - although a bit of a sandy walk too and fro. Wonderful fun for three nights!! (And only Telstra - and I have Optus - real isolation!)
- ross (10/5): - The safari tents are very comfortable and in a lovely outdoor setting .perfect place to chill and relax.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The remote location and beautiful surrounds make this a must stay location. Staff is very friendly and restaurant is amazing. You must have a 4WD to get to your accommodation. We had ti do the 1km walk every time which was not so fun in the dark.
- catriona (8/5): Pleasant stay - We stayed in the rainforest tent which was very pleasant. It had a queen bed and ensuite facilities but unfortunately no fridge. We were advised that fridges will be added to this tent type in future. The tent was approx 1 km from the restaurant but it was easy to walk or drive to get to the main hub. There was a beautiful pool at the main site and food was good. We went on the giant tides tour and the waterfall reef tour, both were excellent.
- Karen (8/5): Wished we stayed longer - Absolutely Loved Cygnet Bay and wished we stayed longer Safari tents were well equipped and the view AMAZING The complex itself was fabulous Plenty of activities to do including the pool, walks and organised tours Friendly staff and good restaurant
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff and service were great. Everyone was very friendly, knowledgeable and happy to help. Pool was amazing and so were the food at the restaurant. Accomodation in safari tent was basic and that’s what made it better. It really allowed us to be back in the nature. We loved our stay and seeing passionate people working hard. We have been recommending to others and would love to visit again soon.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Lovely property with great pool. Staff helpful and friendly.
- Mahon’s (10/5): - Loved the whole experience... walking the tracks n beach, swimming in the infinity pool, happy hour n the restaurant food n service amazing. Accommodation clean n tents spacious.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Hidden Gem - Booked the safari tent for a getaway for my mum and I and wow it was beautiful! So much more than we expected! The staff were all super friendly and the restaurant had great food! Would 100% recommend
- Ros (4/5): - Accommodation was average and way overpriced for what is offered. For Rate/night I would have thought that housekeeping would service the room especially towels and complimentary tea/coffee. Beaches are better in surrounding areas too. Cannot recommend.
- Gemma (8/5): - Fantastic place to visit. This place has so much potential. Low season prices were a win and the pool was a welcoming cool down. Thanks for a brilliant girl mid weekend!
- Robert & Sonia (10/5): A Truly Amazing Place to Stay - This is the best place to visit and a must for everyone. Staying in a beautiful wilderness tent on a working Pearl Station was just fabulous. The tours are first class and real value for money. The beauty of the place along with visits to Cape Levique and One Arm Point just cap off a perfect stay.
So spoil yourself and go to Cygnet and also buy one of their beautiful pearls!!
- Colin (6/5): - We stayed two nights in a tent, which was very comfortable and had all facilities.
Walking around the beach and associated area was a very pleasant pass time.
Travelled to One Arm Point and to the Trocous Hatchery which we enjoyed
- Genevieve (10/5): A delightful surprise - This was our first safari tent experience and we loved it. It had a spacious living area and an en suite. Although we had booked a twin room through Wotif - and received confirmation of a twin room - when we arrived at our tent it was made up as a queen bed. I rang Reception to explain our problem and they didn't hesitate. They came over right away, separated the beds and remade them as 2 singles which meant changing all the linen. They were cheerful and so accommodating. We also used the outdoor BBQ and kitchen facilities as we were then able to cook our dinner which was a bonus. I had intended to book at the other nearby (famous) location but instead chose Cygnet Bay as we were going on their pearl farm tour the next morning. What a great decision and much more convenient to be there the night before.
- Annemarie (8/5): Interesting - We enjoyed our 2 days although we were a bit concerned initially as presentation varied from expect ions and Internet information
- fadila (10/5): Séjour agréable à dampier peninsula - Après une piste chaotique, nous avons apprécié le cadre et le charme de cet endroit.
Le personnel est sympathique et le buffet de qualité
- Verified traveler (8/5): Family of 4 investigated Cape Levique - Our family camped in the safari tent, used the pool heaps, enjoyed the day trips and also the near-by resort beach and air adventures over the Falls in a stress-free way
- Glen (10/5): Great glamping experience - Each tent privately located but a long distance from the restaurant.etc. All staff were very helpful and friendly. The pearl talk is well worthwhile but the patrol boat wasn't worth the money.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very friendly staff ..magic location ..needed more time to enjoy daytrips offered. .great location
- Pat (10/5): - Facilities: Above average; Value: Affordable; Service: Outstanding; Cleanliness: Spotless;
- R (8/5): - Facilities: Distinctive, maps could be better as ; Value: Acceptable price; Cleanliness: Neat, mostly qt good but lapses;
- Caroll (10/5): -
Excellent restaurant, great coffee and awesome cakes.....try the salted caramel with macadamia .......yummy
- Scott (6/5): - Facilities: Nothing special; Value: Over-priced; Service: Lacking; Cleanliness: Messy;
Ran out of gas for the stove, no breakfast/coffee and the air-con sent out hot air
- Sonia (10/5): - Facilities: Home away from home, COMFORTABLE; Value: Affordable; Service: Flawless, Go the extra mile; Cleanliness: Lovely;
