The room was warm despite it being very cold weather. Meals are within walking distance although we drove our car because of the rain. The mattress was very comfortable! It would be handy to have a little side-table for extra bits in the kitchen, e.g., your own bread or bought cake, etc. It would be great to have a little drawer space to put away a few clothes and the like. .

The rooms were very clean, appear well maintained and bed was very comfy (best nights sleep in ages!).

It's a slightly older motel outside, but the rooms are great and had been beautifully refurbished/modernised. Can park right near your room which is very handy, and was free. Central location.

• Bruce (7/5): Large, clean room close to a supermarket, restaurant and fast food chains. - Don't be fooled by outside appearances because inside we found a very large, clean and comfy room which was just right for a night's stay on a long trip. Close to fast food chains, Woolworths and a very nice Thai restaurant. The room needed a tea towel.

Good location on edge of town with supermarkets, fast food, restaurants and shops in walking distance. Arrived at 1.40pm and reception was closed. Rang number on door and no answer. Given it wasn’t the correct check-in time of 2pm I thought that was fair enough so I waited to ring again at 2pm. The call was answered immediately. I said we were ready to check in and was asked if I knew what room we were in?????? I’m not sure how I would know and later I went through messages and can confirm I received nothing about a room number. I was then asked what our surname was and was given our room number and told it was unlocked and the key was inside. While we waited until 2 pm there was not a single person that came to the motel. During our 3 night stay reception was not manned once. On our first night, the guests next door sat outside and drank until 11 pm. On our second night it was 10pm. By the third night we were exhausted and didn’t care anymore. There is only one sink in the kitchenette that doubles as the bathroom sink. The only thing provided to wipe dishes with was a used sponge. There was a heatwave and on day 2 the air conditioner stopped working. I sent a text message and got no reply. That night it started to work again so we think we may have had a timer set by mistake. I text again to say that it was fixed. Again there was no response. Absolutely nothing.

Accommodating hosts, nothing was too much trouble. My room was super clean and comfortable and it had even been pre-warmed on a frosty country night :)
