Guest Reviews
- Stephanie (10/5): Relaxing seaside location - Beautiful sea views, lovely apartment
- Peter (10/5): - Location was excellent the unit was large and all needed appliances provided. Outlook overlooking the beach was bonus. Nothing
- Helen (6/5): - Room was comfortable, but no personal contact with host at all. Only one tiny soap & one tiny shampoo for 2 adults for 2 days. Room wasn't serviced and no dry, clean towels provided. No milk in fridge & only 4 coffee pods for 2 day stay. Very dark path to our room & sensor lights not good.
- Jeff (10/5): - Great location, clean unit, easy check in
- Jo (9/5): Views for miles, great location. - Excellent location opposite the beach and walk to all amenities. Small touches from hosts to make stay enjoyable were great
- Lucy (10/5): - The retro themed apartment was so cozy!
- Robyn (10/5): Wished we could have stayed longer - Location and it was very comfortable and well equipped
- Koetsier (9/5): Thanks so much to amazing host. Wonderful location - Great location, terrific host and good facilities
- Carolyn (8/5): Beautiful central accommodation which is beautifully appointed. - The property was ideally situated on the Main Street of penguin. There were lots of memorabilia around to engage you with the area There were a few things missing like milk coffee pods, tissues
- Barbara (10/5): Beautiful place. Terry & Libby excellent hosts. Well done . Thank you for making our stay so enjoy -
- Graham (10/5): -
- Nadg63 (8/5): Pleasurable. - Very nice accomodation, very clean and tidy in an excellent location for exploring Penguin, walking to shops, restaurants etc. Nice to sit out on the front balcony watching the sun rising. The 2.30am goods train that noisily passed by pretty much out of the back bedroom window and the bin men/truck that were doing their rounds at 4.30am were a bit of a surprise .................... !
- Michelle (8/5): Limited sea view. - Nice homely atmosphere. Close to walking path, great bakery and other town facilities. Nicely appointed and furnished. Somewhat quaint and quirky. Good parking. Electric blanket and heated bathroom floor. Comfy bed. The little plate of welcome chocolates and sweets were a lovely touch. Labelling the room as ‘sea view’ is misleading. We booked on the sea view premise but were sorely disappointed. It should read ‘partial or limited sea view’. This studio, whilst lovely in itself, is on the ground floor with quite a high fence in the front. With only a small window to look out you can only see a partial sea view if you physically stand up and look out. You cannot sit, relax and enjoy the sea view. Sitting is too low and the only chairs at the window anyway are the dining chairs at the table. You must be upstairs in a more expensive unit to have any real decent view. If a caravan, coach or truck pull up outside as often happened when we were there, you really have no view at all.
It is a long, large room with high ceiling so it takes quite some time to heat up with the sized heat pump that is installed. I would take a portable heater to use as well next time, especially in autumn, winter and spring. Be aware, there is no balcony or outside private area. The photos can be a little misleading if not studied well, as the upstairs apartments figure most prominently on the booking apps.
- Debbie (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyed it - Location great, walking to all amenities. Fabulous interior. Bed very comfortable Nothing
- Suzanne (10/5): Fabulous stay in Penguin - Amazing location directly across the road from the beach. Beautifully appointed, very comfortable, very clean. Owners were very helpful. Will definitely recommend to friends

- kathleen (10/5): Great apartment, good location. - Loved the retro themed apartment
- Paul (10/5): Amazing location. Beautiful apartment. - Waterfront, spacious. Apartment had everything we needed. Nothing
- Tracey (7/5): Clean, comfortable and relaxing. - Good location! Clean. For the price, I would expect a cooktop, washing machine & dryer as well as be able to sit outside to enjoy the view, as the photos suggested.
- Penny (10/5): - The location. Spacious, clean and comfortable.
- Terry (10/5): Fantastic for what we needed. - Awesome location. Easy parking. Close to everything in Penguin. I have no negatives.

- Susan (9/5): Lovely - Fabulous views. Very spacious apartment . Great location.
- Nikita (10/5): - The property is ocean view and is walking distance from the local food and pubs.
- Penni (7/5): Lovely place; just needs some new bath towels - Great location, well appointed and very clean. Could hear noise from adjoining private residence. Towels were almost thread bare.
- Debbie (10/5): A beautiful way to stay at a beautiful location. Thank you - Great communication from the host. Everything was of high standard. Funky appartment. Amazing location. Perfect for what we needed. Only a small thing. Our towels were not nice and soft.
- Cynthia (9/5): Perfect Penguin stay - Very spacious studio, close to shops. Clean and very well appointed with parking at the back. Location was perfect. Easy communication with Libby.
- Josephine (9/5): Modern beachfront apartment - Location and great modern facilities Quiet noisy as you could hear people walking around in other apartments.
- SandiS999 (7/5): -
- Barbara (10/5): Perfect in every way. - Great location. Friendly owner. Well appointed studio apartment. Very clean. Nothing.
- Jayne (9/5): - Lovely modern apartment with huge balcony with ocean views right in the heart of Penguin. Wish we could have stayed longer.
- Graeme (5/5): Disappointed in the cleanliness and care of the property. Nice location - Great location Property had to be vacuumed on arrival. Dryer filter was filthy and the door needs a thorough clean. Washing machine is out of balance and rocks noisily when in use. The sofa bed had no sheets on it. Some old, balled up, pilled ones were found in a wardrobe. The mattress on the sofa bed was also unbearably uncomfortable as the springs dig in to your body. There are no block out curtains so first light has everybody up. Chairs outside had to be cleaned of dirt and spiderwebs in order to use.
- craig (10/5): - the location, sea views, beautiful set out off room, unbelievably quiet ,everything on your doorstep, restaurants, pub, newsagent, the little iga ,shower was amazing will definitely be back for this one.

Great job Not applicable
- Kylie (10/5): - Lovely and comfortable apartment, centrally located right in the heart of Penguin.. Great communication with owners so easy to access etc
- Siew Yoong (10/5): Lovely beach walks - Nice water views. Lovely walks on the beach and track. Short walks to restaurants and cafes.
Spacious, comfortable unit, quiet. Little things like no body wash and box of tissues. We had to buy them ourselves and the towels were really rough and scratchy.
- Patrick (10/5): -
- Debra (9/5): -
- Joanne (10/5): Other than that, we would definitely stay there again. - Location Location Location, was brilliant, couldn’t be any better, right in the heart of town, yet quiet.
Bathroom, shower, perfect.
Kitchenette was good, no stove, oven or microwave, but it had a wok which we could be creative with. As tall people, we loved the height of the kitchen bench.
Loved the retro decor, enjoyed playing some 45s records! Our only minor negative, considering the size of the room is that it could do with a King Bed. My husband & I are tall people & there aren’t enough King Beds in accommodation places.
- JILL (9/5): Excellent - Location and views More heating
- Butler (4/5): I thought it was a motel of some sort not a room joined to a residence - Was on the bottom floor joined to a residence. The ocean was behind a fence
- James (10/5): Great facilities, terrific view, very quiet accommodation, beach and cafes on your doorstep. - Great location, very quiet, terrific facilities, best accommodation in Penguin. It would be great to have an additional heater, not just the air conditioner.
- Dylan (10/5): - Magic views, right on the beach. Property has everything you could need and right next to a good supermarket. Easy off-street parking.

- Garth (10/5): -

- Raymond (10/5): Exceptional - Position right on the sea front in town. Helpful and friendly owner. Nil
- Sally (8/5): Very good - The towels were very old and not fluffy. For a place that advertises as "Luxury", they need better towels
- Sally (8/5): Very good -
- Lynda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jessica (8/5): - Brilliant beach front location with beautiful views and close to all that Penguin has to offer, including cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, walks and bike paths and a fenced playground just across the steet.

Within easy driving access of Devonport. Only one small window allowing air in.

- Katrina (10/5): Best stay ever. Great location, excellent views and super comfortable - Location of property. The apartment was spacious, clean and had everything we needed The noise of the train going past at night. But that is totally out of hosts control.
- Mary (10/5): - This is an absolutely beautiful, luxurious accommodation. We stayed in room 1, the spacious two bedroom apartment upstairs. With a large, airy, open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area, every room was immaculate, beautifully appointed and well-equipped with everything you might need for a very comfortable stay. A gorgeous ocean view, a large balcony deck for enjoying the views, and very lovely, gracious hosts. If you're coming to NW Tassie, this is a very fine place to stay. Highly recommended.
