Guest Reviews

- John (10/5): - A friendly host that allowed us our privacy.
A great lounge, kitchen area.
- Jonathon (10/5): - Super nice staff, very good value
- Thomas (6/5): - Property was clean but had an “old” aroma. Breakfast was not served but items were available for personal use and consumption.
- PAUL (8/5): - Well situated & comfortable b&b whilst stopping overnight on Great Ocean Road
- Carolyn (8/5): - All was good!
- Bryn (10/5): - Unique B&B . Gerald the owner was always on hand to chat with you.
Easy walking into Appollo Bay.

- James (10/5): - Big guest shared kitchen and lounge. All you want in the bedroom ensuite. All breakfast items supplied. Big choice
We like boiled eggs for breakfast so bought our own but could not boil as there is no stove. Only thing missing but thats not common in BnB’s anyway
- Ruth (10/5): - Great rooms, garden, amenities and short walk to downtown and beaches.
- Chris (10/5): - Had a fantastic time at Casa Favilla B&B!
Would definitely go back if we are in or passing through Apollo Bay again.
Nice clean room and facilities, friendly owner, located in the perfect spot.
Not a single bad thing to say.
- Lilian (6/5): Overnight at Apollo Bay - We were driving the Great Ocean Rd and stopped overnight at Casa Favilla. We were met by the owner who lived on the upper level. Given the smallest room
at back with a walkout to the porch. The room was cold and the heater was not working so he brought in an oil heater. As the room was at the back, wifi was scattered. We have been on a month trip around Australia. We had difficulty fitting our suitcases in the room. Bathroom was small but the heater inside was great. Breakfast was basically help yourself to coffee, tea, juice, bread and jam, cereal, milk and yoghurt in the fridge.
Not quite what we expected. Parking requires a bit of juggling on the driveway as 2 other couples were staying.House was close to the town about 200m to the water.
- Ella (10/5): - The host Jared was very welcoming and thorough in showing us our room and it's facilities everything you need for a stay over we stayed for two nights
- Kathryn (10/5): - Great place to stay, friendly host , wonderful location
- Caroline (6/5): - The over all stay was enjoyable. The price was reasonable. Wasnt over excited about a self service breakfast consisting of cereals, breads, jams, yogurt and fruit. Very basic. Would have liked cheeses, hams, eggs and a coffee machine.

- Mark (10/5): - Relaxed with casual self service option for breakfast. Large open communal area.
- Jean (8/5): - Property was lovley and clean, walking distance to shops and food. Stated bnb but you had to get your own, continental only. Some condiments not filled up
- Greg (10/5): - Fantastic place to stay. Very enjoyable, host was very nice and shared some town history. Very highly recommend for anybody that wants a lovely place to stay.
- Kevin (10/5): - Great location in a quaint small town
Bedroom and ensuite were comfortable
Breakfast was a variety of self serve items
- Robert (10/5): - Just a short walk to the town center, this B&B was perfect for us -- a friendly, chatty host, a good sized room with its own little porch area, and nice amenities.
- Eric (8/5): A Nice place to stop on the way to Port Fairy. - Nice place in a nice town. Just one night as we were passing thru. Owner is very nice and personable. Only complaint is that we could hear a lot of rustling about coming from above and from other guests.
- Dennis (10/5): - The property is lovely. The room with ensuite was large and very comfortable. There was even an outside sitting area overlooking the garden.
- L (10/5): - This is a beautiful home and small bed and breakfast. Our room was large, luxurious and extremely clean with a huge ensuite. The shared living room was elegant, large and comfortable. Apollo Bay is a wonderful town on the Great Ocean Road with all amenities. We highly recommend this accommodation.
- Karl (10/5): - Casa Favilla is pristine - a great place to stay. One of the best places we have stayed on our trip down the Great Ocean Road. The owner is very friendly and full of local information, eg local restaurants.
- paula (10/5): What a gem! - Lovely home. Wonderful location. Helpful host. Wish we could have stayed longer!
- Marlies (8/5): - Jared was very friendly, had a lot to say and you could ask him anything. Parking was a bit cramped and awkward, the main room/kitchen was really cold but thankfully had independent heat in the room. The port and chocolate was a nice touch but please invest in a new toaster! Great place to stay
- Neil (10/5): - Great location only a stones through away from Apollo bay centre 5 min walk. The host is very welcoming and the property is accommodating. Good that it includes breakfast as well. Overall very good stay!

- Anna (10/5): Convenient and clean B&B! - Gerard is a super friendly and welcoming host. The B&B is very conveniently located only a 5 min walk away from the main shopping street. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. There is a very well stocked kitchen with a plethora of continental breakfast options. Parking on the property / just off the sidewalk was a breeze. We would certainly stay here again! Thank you Gerard!!
- Bill (8/5): - Owner was friendly and accommodating. Great location and cleanliness of room and house.
Breakfast options were okay- continental type breakfast you make on your own. Good fresh fruit options.
Not so good was the condition of the bed and the pillows. Need new mattress and new pillows. Both were lumpy and we didn't sleep well.
- Emma (10/5): - Fantastic value, comfortable and convenient to everything. Nice touches with the communal spaces, and the well stocked kitchen that allows guests to be social if they want to.
Attentive service and helpful owners, a really good option for travellers to the beautiful Ottways and surrounding coast.
- Katha (10/5): - Gerard is a wonderful host, and the property is beautiful. It's in a convenient location, walking distance to the main town, and is well-kept and clean. Would visit again.
- Kathleen (8/5): - The whole building is beautiful and very clean, friendly host. Only issue the noise upstairs from the owners was a little loud at times. In saying this, it is an ussue with alot of accomodation sites where the owners or operators live in the same building..
- Maureen (10/5): - Gerard is an excellent host and made us feel very welcome.
Would definitely recommend
- Christine (10/5): - Boutique style B&B.
We had a lovely room & bathroom, as well as balcony. Also had a view to beach!
Plus access to a kitchen for breakfast and huge lounge/dining area for guests.
Walk to beach, town centre- restaurants/shopping.
Thanks for a lovely relaxing stay!

- Vanessa (10/5): - Great relaxing holiday, comfortable, nice location and host:) would recommend! Vanessa
- Hugh (10/5): Great stay! - This is a beautiful little B&B at picturesque Apollo bay - minutes walk to the beach and into town. Our room was spacious, clean & full of natural light. Make sure you pop into the local fisherman’s co-op - the scallops and prawns are incredible. Gerard was a hospitable & welcoming host.
- Noelene (6/5): - I found the owner to be too chatty. All I wanted was some peace & quiet, but he kept chatting as if we were best buddies. this may be ok for some, but I found it hard to get him to leave without being rude.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Host was very friendly. Facilities were very clean and rooms were beautifully decorated. Plenty of choices for our breakfast.
Walking distance to town centre and good spot to explore local region. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Gerard was very helpful with everything regarding the accommodation and what to do in Appolla Bay
Would stay there again

- Stella (10/5): - Very welcoming, all amenities explained well. Lovely place to stay, would recommend it to others. Thanks also for the chats.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Pleasant and quiet stay
- Vanessa (10/5): - Beautiful house in a prime location with stunning views of the sea and rolling hills. The B and B is very well presented and tastefully decorated and furnished. It was well beyond our expectation. The red bedroom is extremely clean, spacious and has a beautiful ensuite. There is also a small front garden balcony. Host was very warm and welcoming. Self service breakfast was more than adequate with a wide
selection of tea, coffee, fresh fruits, bread, yogurt and much more. The property itself is just a stroll away from restaurants, cafes and shops. This is by far the best place we have stayed in Victoria. We will definitely come back and I highly recommend it to friends and family. We had a wonderful weekend in Apollo Bay and everything was just perfect.
- Tsvet (10/5): - Everything was great, very welcomed, thank you. Will recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A perfect place to enjoy a couple of nights in Apollo Bay. Set slightly away from the main drag, we had a room at the back which was peaceful and quiet, yet a 3 min stroll into town or to the beach. This property is obviously a house which has been converted into a b&b- it has a homely feel as you walk in and you do feel like you’re staying as a house guest in someone else’s home. We loved this! If you want the Marriott - head back to Melbourne! The host was a friendly, unobtrusive man who was on hand to help when needed. Apollo Bay is a stunning area with plenty of restaurants, pubs and a stunning, calm beach. Highly recommend!
- Nathan (10/5): A must stay when in Apollo Bay - Gerrard was an absolute top host, providing a such a warm and welcoming environment. He spent time showing us the room and the map of the local restaurants.
The property is beautifully appointed and cared for, situated on the Great Ocean Road, a stones throw from two stunning beaches and a 2 minute walk to the main restaurant/shop area.
The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfy and the view onto the small garden area, beautiful! Thanks again, Gerrard.
Nathan and Gen
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very nice B&B - Very nice B&B, spotlessly clean, very comfortable, well stocked breakfast kitchen for continental breakfast. Located just on the edge of the main street, evwrything in walking distance
- Christopher (10/5): Awesome place - Was an awesome place to stay, would recommend this place.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful house and beautiful people, very clean , loved the place.Thank you
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful property a short walk from centre. Good sized, very comfortable room with en suite and access to small outdoor patio. Use of kitchen available for breakfast with good supply of basic items although some were out of date. Host helpful and very chatty, a little too much sometimes and all about himself. Overall an enjoyable stay
- Allan (10/5): - Gerard was very helpful and friendly. Accomodation was excellent.
- Julie (10/5): - Gerard was a terrific, friendly host and the B&B is wonderful--comfy, elegant, convenient to the beach and shops, with generous breakfast options. We really enjoyed our stay!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - the owner's site stated that they have self laundery & spa. I didnt see any spa there and when asked about laundery services we were sent to a public laundery in town. At 9:00pm, after traveling all day my husband had to drive twice to town to do our laundery.
- Bin (6/5): Homely, comfortable and accessible - The room was small, as a typical bedroom would be, but it does have an en-suite bathroom with a small shower. It was well furnished with typical hotel room amenities (well, you will need to go to the kitchen for coffee/tea), such as individually packaged toiletries, towels, etc.
It is supposed to be a B&B; however, the 2nd B is kinda debatable. You can call for the owner to cook, but that would mean taking time. There are breads, jam, coffee, tea, hot water & juices available - you guess it, it more of self-service type. Very homely.
- LoveTraveling (10/5): - What a beautiful place! Comfortable room with a great bed, very nice bathroom and shower and more importantly a great location. The place is within walking distance of all of the shops and restaurants. The owner is a wonderful and informative man, giving us recommendations and answered all of our questions. Also, a great self serve continental breakfast that includes everything you ever need for breakfast. He has four different coffee makers, allowing your coffee to be made the Italian way, the French way, the American, etc... we loved the place and highly recommend it.
- Maxine (10/5): - Very nice and spacious. Friendly and helpful owner. Short walk to town and beach.
- StuAndBecky (10/5): - The owners obviously take great pride in their property and have done a wonderful job of making it a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. I don't always give 5 stars but have no problem giving a top rating here. We even saw a koala with its baby in a tree when we went to the main street to get a bite to eat.
- Mike (10/5): - Quiet and comfortable with pleasant staff and great facilities
- Paul (10/5): - Wonderful. Cannot fault it. The rooms were impeccably clean. The decor is delightful. The bed was very comfortable. Our host was gracious. We will be back.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place and very close to town and beach - Casa Favilla was one of our best places to stay on our 5 week trip through Australia.
We got the room above the garage -perfect for 3 people. It is really nice, clean, and spacious. Nice kitchen area, well stocked refrigerator, all the essentials, and a decent Continental breakfast spread with coffee, tea, breads, jams, yoghurts, cereals, fruits, and a lot more.
It is very conveniently 100-200m from all the restaurants, shops, beach, and the harbour. It is right on the great ocean drive and the great ocean walk
The owner, Gerard, was a lovely person. We really enjoyed talking to him and wished we had more time with him.
Definitely stay here!
- Kazie (10/5): Excellent accommodation in gr at location - Clean, cosy, tasteful decor. I’d definitely stay again. Easy walk to shops and beach.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Our host was very welcoming, giving us lots of information about the surrounding area. He was very chatty and friendly but left us to it whilst being available if needed. The room was very comfortable and we actually had the whole communal living room and kitchen to ourselves as we were the only ones staying that night.
- Barry (2/5): A freezing cold night, with a terrible host - The room was freezing, even though the A/C was set 30C, the gas fire in the lounge did not make any difference. The host was a pain, his behaviour was totally off putting. Could not wait to leave. Terrible
- Margaret (10/5): Convenient and homey - A home away from home —highly recommend! Gorgeous Sunrise in walking distance
- Laura (6/5): - Room was cramped and onsite manager not v organised. Close to shops and food and staff were friendly
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very relaxing stay. Close to shops. Very hospitable host
- Franca (10/5): Beautiful decor and welcoming host. - Good location, good healthy variety of bread cereals and milk for breakfast. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Very happy with our stay.
- Yash & Maureen (10/5): Lovely hosts & stay - The hosts are delightfully friendly and welcoming. Their home is in a good location.
We enjoyed their home grown tomatoes too.
Thank you.
- Valerie (10/5): - This B&B is run privately. The room we were in was spacious, good sized bathroom and a small area to sit outside. Breakfast, DIY from a communal kitchen. Good choice. Large sitting room available. Gerard a very good host.
- Frank (10/5): Comfort with class, friendly, and most welcoming. - Most welcoming with friendliness, fully equipped with comfort and closeness to beach and activities
- Simon (8/5): Good place to stay - Great B and B, good location, very comfortable. Remember some restaurants close early......
- Jake (10/5): Good location and lovely home - Great location on the great ocean road, just minutes from town and amazing beaches. The room and house itself were spotlessly clean and very well set up. Breakfast was more than adequate. Host was really friendly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice, quiet, clean and friendly, all you need for a stay in a touristy place like Apollo Bay
