- Helen (4/5): Very disappointing thought the rooms would be a little more updated and cleaner based on the photos. - Perfect location, great view Very tired room (Unit 6), needs updating (toilet roll holder broken) marks on the ceilings paint coming away. Could have been cleaner, window sills etc. Had to clean the drawer of the front loader washing machine was full of caked up soap powder. No barbecue even though said there would be a bbq on the verandah.

Bed comfortable but only queen size. Bit dated. Musty smell. Didn't see mold, but think there had been some.

Very unclean the grouting on the tiles needed to be steam cleaned as they were black, the unit had a horrible smell. All the dishes, cutlery and cupboards needed a good washing. Portable fan covered in dust.

We had a ground floor apartment and could still see the beach from our outdoor area. We were also close to the pool so it was easy to watch the kids. Malcolm was very friendly and helpful. Bathroom was a bit tiny.
Kitchen knives needed sharpening.
However neither of these things affected our stay or our rating of the apartments.

Apartment block is located next to King's Beach. Lovely views of the waves from the balcony.
There is also a reception at Merrina Court for any queries that may arise and to collect apartment keys from.

Everything was very reasonable I can't think of anything to complain about. The staff are great the accommodation is comfortable and you are close to all you need for a holiday.

- Robert (6/5): Could be a good place to stay with some major reno and upgrades. - Staff were good and very friendly and helpful. Location was good. Appliances in the most part were very good. Lounge furniture was neither good nor comfortable, Beds were horrible, only one of us could sleep in the queen bed as one side was super soft and uncomfortable. I accidentally booked a 2 bedroom and only one of the singles was any good.
On the whole the unit was very run down and in need of major reno. One patio door was very difficult to open or close and the other was not lockable due to a brocken lock. Most of the windows were difficult to open and close. or lock.

- Jaime (9/5): - The location is excellent. We stayed in apartment 1. Apartment was neat and clean. Had nearly everything that was needed. Beach and cafes was only a minutes walk away. Pool was nice and clean. They did not have any extra pillows, so only 1 pillow per person so bring extra if you like to sleep with 2. We stayed 6 nights and they only supplied 1 toilet roll, 1 dishwasher satchel and 1 small bin bag. There was 1 cockroach upon entering apartment but we didn't see anymore than that.

The unit was of a good size, with great facilities, so fully equipped for a longer term stay.
It was clean and tidy, had a swimming pool outside.
The bed was comfortable and the bedrooms had good storage and dressers.
The bathroom was adequate and there was a washing machine and dryer provided.

- Veronica (5/5): Room 11 does not come up to standard. very worn out and uncomfortable - Position is fantastic. Room 11 is very neglected, it is in desperate need of updating. This wasn’t a cleaning problem it was just worn out. Old click- clack lounge was so uncomfortable. Careful you don’t stain your clothes on the drying rack. One hot plate looked dangerous. Carpets, pillows and blankets all old and stained badly. Wardrobe doors didn’t slide properly, a struggle to use every time. Just a sad soulless room. Luckily bed was comfortable and sheets clean and position fantastic otherwise we’d been trying to change rooms or get out all together.
Please note the cleaner had done her best wth what she had to deal with!!!

Although it is not modern property all facilities were excellent, very clean good air con, clean and lovely balcony with good water views 100 yards down the road which we could easily walk to and from there explore the great boardwalks along the seafront to Kings Beach and all others in between. Very satisfactory and much enjoyed!

A few extra basics would have made life easier whilst travelling. For example more than 10ml dishwashing liquid.

The sofas are terrible and not comfortable to spend a night in on them. Back breakers. Pity the swimming pool is not heated. Especially this time of the year.

The drain in hallway by bedroom stank.The bed was very uncomfortable. The top of fridge was dirty but the grime was stuck. The glass top of kitchen extractor fan was very dusty. The lounge suite was very uncomfortable. Tea coffee sugar supplied but no milk, one roll of single poly toilet paper when I asked manager he said we only supply a starter kit you supply the rest . Nine night stay one room service which to me is poor

No tea towels or dish cloth. As the dishwasher did not work at the start. Toilet main room was leaking. Had trouble locking the main door (but when asked was a easy fixed when told how to). Unit was well set out with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen for easy meal making.

Secure car parking (car park for unit 20 is between wall and cement pole so i found backing into it was easiest option)
Lift to each level great for getting bags to rooms , plus luggage trolley available.
Washing machine, dryer and drying rack made for easily keeping washing from piling up. When we first arrived to room there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke so went and got some air freshener. However over the time we were there, we realised it wasn't actually the room, the smoke smell was coming up from rooms below.
A mop would be a great addition for those like me who like to wash the floor.

Perhaps because of the season (winter school holidays), the area was peaceful and quiet, and there was no trouble parking a second car on the street outside.

- Jo (1/5): We had well traveled friends with us from New Zealand they were shocked. - Location good We were in unit 3 ground floor and there were serious cleaning issues.
We turned on the aircon in the lounge kitchen area at night to give air flow and a cockroach landed on the floor. Upon inspection the next morning the filters were filthy with black mould spots. When we opened cupboards for kitchen cooking utensils in the morning 2 more roachs came out.
We opened the dish washer and again a cockroach.
The splashback and stainless cover to the joinery unit had food residue still showing from some time ago.
On end of the high joinery unit you could see it had been cleaned but only as high as they could reach.
Top of the fridge exterior was disgusting, top of the glass shield to the range hood ,hadn't been cleaned t was clearly visible. I left amessge in the dust. The filters in the bedroom aircon were completely blocked with dust and fluff etc. Disgusting.
In response to the owner, the photos clearly show the condition of the filters.
We had no issue paying the rate it is pretty much standard rate, but value decrease was based on cleanliness. We didnt come from North of Bundaberg and did not arrive late .We checked in early,around 1.00pm ,and were greateful for being allowed in early,
belittling our guests from overseas clearly defines your attitude.
We booked with you based on your reviews ,our concerns are valid and are true as you well know.
Your response is childish ,accept the problem and fix it.

- Joanna (8/5): - My only criticism would be that our unit relied on a single aircon to cool all rooms but otherwise had a thoroughly comfortable and enjoyable stay Beach less than 100m short walk to dog beach. Property management good humoured and efficient allowed early check in and very friendly- will stay again for sure
