The motel is a bit old but clean and comfortable. The motel price includes a continental and cooked breakfast. It’s a short drive to town & othe amenities

- brianmG8306RJ (6/5): Average - I stayed in Room 22 upstairs for two nights, so my review may not be applicable to other rooms Dislikes: Chain on the door does not reach the safety slot so couldn't secure the door. The bathroom sliding window does not have a latch and can be lifted from the window frame, allowing access to a small person. The shower does not have a soap holder, the only altenative is to put the soap on the floor or rest it on the top of the shower screen frame - which somebody in the past has done - still there - gross. Although bed was made on the second day, nothing else was cleaned at all Internet does not work if the motel is relatively busy. Netflix wouldn't work, no Foxtel Curtains were hanging off curtain rail Cooked breakfast is certainly not like the photos Numerous construction holes and gaps in walls Likes: Sort of clean, handy to NRL club and main streets

Beds very comfortable. Parking outside of room available. Establishment is very clean and tidy. We will definitely stay here again when in Tamworth.

Delicious. Would Definately recommend to travellers coming to or passing through Tamworth.

- 788brienj (6/5): Clean and Quiet - We were travelling for work and stayed in a double room at the property. The rooms were a good size, the beds and room were clean and comfortable. There were a motion activated fan in the bathroom, it looks like they were having problems with the moisture? The fan cuts off when you're in the shower because the glass steams up and it can't see you. Kind of weird. The property is good value, it was clean and we got a good nights rest.
- 479leannel (8/5): Comfortable room. Great breakfast. - The motel is easy to find and get into. T he room was a good size with an extremely comfortable bed and two comfortable chairs. Although the bathroom was small the shower was hot and very tempting to stay in a bit longer. The best thing was the cooked breakfast and barista cappuccino the next morning. We loved it.
- 77jillt (8/5): Disappointing breakfast experience - The rooms were comfortable and clean. The booking confirmation advised that a cooked breakfast was included. However it was not explained upon arrival for breakfast that it was either a continental breakfast OR a cooked breakfast. While the staff member was making our barista coffee I shared a packet of cereal with another member of our group. When we went to order our cooked breakfast we were told that, because we’d had cereal, we were deemed to be having the continental breakfast and therefore not allowed to have a cooked breakfast. We explained to the staff member that our booking included a cooked breakfast but he would not change his mind. Most disappointing ! ! (We observed this also happening to two other couples)
- Mjsmith64 (8/5): Very good experience and very reasonable price - We stayed here overnight travelling from ACT to Brisbane. We walked into town and it was about 2 km from town centre. Lovely big room, spotlessly clean with a newish bathroom. Oor room opened out onto a garden which was pleasant. We could park in front of our room which is a bonus travelling. Bed was queen size and really comfortable. We ate out but you could enjoy a takeaway meal on chairs and table outside room. On a reasonably busy road but with door shut it did not worry us. Fabulous breakfast included in price. Motel employs locals which we thought was a positive.

We had a room at the back and there was very little noise coming from the main road. Breakfeast was included in the price and to our surprise you could have a cooked breakfast. Well done
- Travellingschel (10/5): Comfortable stay in Tamworth - This is a great motel. I had a room out the back and was so was very quiet - no traffic noise at all Everything very clean. They have a swimming pool and bbq which would be great in summer. The breakfast was excellent! Not very close to the main town area, so probably good to have a car, but would highly recommend to stay at this motel.

We are so happy we settled on the Country Capital Motel. We have voted it the best Motel on our slow journey north. What a gem. The room was welcoming, the bed the best and the breakfast was fabulous. The staff were so very friendly and helpful. We choose a winner this time and will certainly stay again when we are next in Tamworth.

Luke was very accomodating with my booking and was able to extend my stay several times. The hot cooked breakfast was an added bonus and is worth an extra star, if this site had one 6 star rating from me. I know I have found my new home base when next in Tamworth. Well done Luke and crew.

The shower was excellent with great flow and the bathroom was modern and clean. No usb outlet in room, so don't forget your charger. Quiet air-con. The breakfasts are a must! - Bacon and eggs were great and barista coffee. I was blown away by breakfast.

THIS IS MY WORST EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!! I was mistreated by the staff and apparent owner, at the end of my stay in this Motel last week. I paid AU$638 for a 2-night stay with breakfast included in this 2.5 star MOTEL... not resort, not a 5-star hotel, nothing fancy!!. I paid this price as it was the "cheapest option" for accommodation I could find in the last minute, due to that the Country Music Festival was on on the same week. The check-in was fine and I was given the instructions that the restaurant will be opened from 6am to 8:45am for breakfast, that like I mentioned before WAS INCLUDED in the price I paid. But ooh surprise I had on the last day of my stay at this hotel...As I wasn't feel well and I didn't feel hungry to eat breakfast on a Sunday at 8am, after having some drinks the night before that gave me a horrendous stomach ache, I decided to order just a coffee, 2x scrambled eggs and small glass of orang juice, instead of having a full breakfast that again.. was included in the price (AU$319 per night). While waiting on the coffee and eggs I saw some cereal in small packages (kids size serves) that I found it perfect to eat later on on that day, and as I didnt order much for breakfast, the serves were very tiny and there were no fruit available neither ANY SIGN stating how many tiny packages could be taken per person, I went and grabbed 4x small packages to eat it in there and some of them for having later on on that day. The waitress saw the packages on the table and said nothing to me. shortly after the eggs and coffee was served, the guy from the reception (apparent owner) LUKE came to me to say this "IF YOU TAKE THOSE PACKAGES OF CEREAL OUT OF THE RESTAURANT OR TO YOUR ROOM, I WILL CHARGE YOU AU$2 PER PACKAGE". I replied to him telling the honest true that I wasn't feeling well to eat breakfast in that moment and that I just had ordered 2x scrambled eggs with coffee for the hot menu and that I could possibly eat some cereal and that's it. He replied to me that he didn't care, I'm just telling you that there will be a charge if you take them out. He then, walked off. OMG I was in so much chocked, completely astonished and horrified for his comments and how careless and rude he was with me in front of other guests, I was completely speechless!!! As he said he will charge me if I take it out the restaurant, nothing he said if I ate them in there, I started opening and eating the 4 packages altogether, when I realised it was just after 8:50am and all food & drinks have been packed away by the waitress, I had no other option other than eating dried cereal quickly as it was about 9am. Unfortunately, I couldn't finished it all. The biggest surprise was when packing my stuff and before doing my check out, I received a notification from my bank saying that AU$8 HAS BEEN TAKEN OUT FROM MY ACCOUNT FROM THE MOTEL, just like that!!!! When I went to do the checkout and confront the receptionist (apparently the owner) for having taken this money without my authorization and before doing the checkout, he just said that he had been warned me about this charge, after the waitress had informed him that she saw 4x packages of cereal on my table. HE REFUSSED TO REFUND ME THIS MONEY, which I find it to be very silly issue and not much, but for what I believe is a PRINCIPLE to fight for, you just DON'T TAKE MONEY FROM ANYONE WITHOUT PERMISSION, this act is kind of steeling to be honest. During our argument, I asked him if he didn't believe that charging $319 per night in a 2.5 MOTEL with breakfast included and having the indecency of charging an extra AU$8 for CEREAL (after not having much for breakfast), would it be kind of being GREEDY and DISRESPECTFUL with the guests?, to what he BLATANTLY responded: "I DIDN'T FORCE YOU OR ASK YOU TO STAY IN MY HOTEL, YOU COULD HAVE BOOKED IN ANOTHER HOTEL INSTEAD". Ahhhhhhhhh what a.....!!!!!! I thought. THE RUDENESS AND GREEDINESS OF THE RECEPTIONIST (OWNER) ARE EXTREMELY DISGUSTING. Due to this events, I wanted to state that this MOTEL IS THE MOST HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD IN ANY ACCOMODATION I HAVE EVER BEEN IN.

Our room was compact, though the space was quite manageable, all the necessary facilities. The tariff comes with a choice of continental &/or cooked breakfast . . . cooked to order! As well as delicious barista coffee. The young managers of the hotel provided friendly efficient service. Happy to recommend this motel, & stay there again.

- Marcus (8/5): A night in Tamworth - Generally a good place to stay while travelling through the area. It was clean and adequate for an overnight stay. Disappointed that the included breakfast was not available while we were there (apparently it’s due to recommence several days after our stay!), despite being advertised on the Hotels.com listing as “included free breakfast”. We understand that COVID makes life hard but just let us know so we can make arrangements! Bottom line: we would stay at this hotel again. BTW : South Tamworth Bowling Club is great for dinner - 5mins walk.

Amazing value for money and therefore any faults in the aesthetic outside look of the hotel were easy to overlook. * Young man who booked me in at reception was so thorough in his orientation that I did not need to ask him one question. Very friendly and helpful. * Room was excellent quality for the price - good quality sheets, comfortable bed, thick/soft towels, plenty of hot water, plenty of coffee/tea freebies, good sized fridge/freezer. Amazing extras with the TV. * Free breakfast between 0600-0900hrs was additional excellent value - cooked breakfast with about 8 options, toast/cereal, juice, even a barista!!! The lady serving in dining room was friendly/attentive without being invasive. * Lady attending rooms was also very helpful - that was the main noticeable thing in this hotel - all staff members were so friendly and helpful, and actually looked us in the eye at each interaction.

- TREVOR (4/5): not too impressed - we had already paid and couldn't cancel which i would have when i saw 2 coache's with a golf week end away, with the golfers drinking and making a fair amount of noise, the saturday night in particular when they were still making a noise after 1am a cooked breakfast is provided but it is basic with you having to make your own toast when ordering eggs and bacon unfortunately with the large number of golfers we sat therewaiting for 45 minutes for our breakfast to arrive and then the order was wrong with the staff being run off their feet and looking a little frazzled the second morning was a little better but we got in early for an early departure i didn't see any covid regulations being observed in the breakfast room which was very crowded we paid a little extra for a better room which was comfortable with a good bed and shower that couldn't be faulted so this is not a cpmpletely negative report and the motel ownerwas friendly and our stay came at a good price i have stayed here several times over the years but will be staying elswwhere on my next tamworth visit in an establishment that doesn't welcome sporting coach loads
