Guest Reviews
- Martin (6/5): - Great for a night or two.
- Diane (10/5): Friendly - Its a great place to stay, although be prepared for noise of traffic, I live in rural qld no noise at night.
Such a large room, beds were very comfortable
Receptionist was very attentive
- Zinayida (2/5): - The Motel was in poor condition. Old amenities, mold in shower, no proper mirror on a wall (only tiny standing one). The wall so thin I could hear smoking alarm several times during night from next room. Avoid this place at all costs.
- Josip (10/5): - A little loud from the Ambulances otherwise great location
- ron (8/5): - nice and convenient
- Shondel (6/5): - Office hours state 9am to 9pm but when I arrived at 6pm office was closed and locked, had to ring to get key and find out how to pay. Was not happy that no customer service on arrival.
- Annette (4/5): -
- Mark (8/5): - Really dark curtains
Clean and tidy
A little maintenance required
Everything we needed
- Ralph (8/5): - Veery happy with the Motel, and a good price.
- Joyce (8/5): - An older complex but very clean which i
- Charles (10/5): - Nice and clean and easy to to get there
- Linda (8/5): - Nice people friendly private good family run buisiness
- Russell (8/5): - Room was clean and bed comfortable
- Donna (6/5): - Pros:
The location was convenient for us.
Food outlets and shopping close by.
The shower was hot and water pressure was good and the room was reasonably tidy.
Cons:
The property is run down and the outside areas are quite unkempt.
Parking is limited and an old car with flat tyres takes up one valuable space.
While not the fault of the motel, hoons in noisy cars are up and down the street all day and half the night and the neighbouring property is an eyesore.
It was adequate but glad we only had one night there.
- Deborah (8/5): - The room was clean and tidy, however limited parking space and traffic noise (early hours of the morning) made for not a restful nights sleep.
- Donna (6/5): - The motel was OK. The staff was friendly. The beds were super comfy which was the important thing. And it's walking distance to the centre of town.
The curtains need replacing, they were block out except for where the holes were. And the fridge needs replacing as the rust in the bottom of it prevented it from closing.
- Mark (8/5): - Older property but was renovated , clean and met our needs for a couple of nights in Central Ipswich
- Alex (10/5): - Perfect for our needs
- Sylvia (10/5): - While renovations are ongoing, not finished, the rooms were clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly.
- Barry (10/5): - Good, great.
- Michelle (6/5): - Comfortable and clean but in need of a lot of maintenance and painting.
- Ralph (6/5): - Well located for my purposes and reasonably quiet despite nearby traffic. The premises are fairly old and worn, but are adequately equipped and functional. Staff are welcoming and helpful (and available).
- Brett De (8/5): - I was concerned after reading other reviews but room was fine, air conditioning worked, tv worked, clean and tidy. No problems at all.
- Annegelique (6/5): - Old, sketcy people
- Debbie (8/5): - Quite and comfortable and pleasant staff
- Samantha (8/5): - Nice and clean but just push one button not 2 for someone to come and book you in!!
- Joshua (8/5): Mold - Good sleep and but find out have hidden mold bad air conditioner and Curtain hide have mold lots . Waste money no good we just got started sick flu and coughing last Sunday 😡
- Mark (8/5): - The motel is a little aged and show signs of wear and tear but was clean and functional. TV worked, beds were nice, fridge was cold and shower was hot.
My only gripe was no teaspoon for my morning coffee :-)
Quite happy to stay there again.
- Donald (6/5): - This is a budget priced, cost effective, modest motel accommodation. It is rustic and wanting but a fair effort is made to make you welcome. It is conveniently located adjacent restaurants, take-aways and a block away from a shopping centre.
- Hugh (10/5): New renovations looking good. - Well cared for and run by clever couple. Lots of thoughtful touches.
- Michelle (8/5): - .
- Rachel (6/5): - I was extremely disappointed that I booked the property for $480 and on arrival I was charged $600 and was made feel it was my problem and if I didn’t like it I could go elsewhere, and of course couldn’t as everything was booked. I pointed out they couldn’t charge me more and they didn’t give a fli. Extremely disappointed
- Jake (2/5): - Not impressed
- Elizabeth (8/5): - It is a great old school motel that they are currently renovating. It is very central especially to Queens Park.
- Dylan (6/5): - Not sure really
- Mardi (8/5): -
- ron (6/5): -
It was central for our needs.
Children skate boarding up & down the upper deck &
banging the unit doors.Whole area had a work in progress feel.Slippery when wet.Tv a handful to work.
- Sally (8/5): - Very helpful staff.
- John (6/5): - Impressions do make an impact. Although the room was clean & tidy, the grounds left some to be desired. Unregistered cars clogging car park making it hard for paying customers to park. The alcohol boxes laying on walkway next morning along with the smell from the smokers area at the bottom of ramp. I don’t like being negative, but this is simply honesty.
- Sarah (10/5): - Friendly helpful staff, comfortable beds, good level of cleanliness, shower has excellent water pressure, has everything you need at a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend
- Brenda (6/5): - The small fridge in the room froze the leftovers I had in there, ready for the next night. Including my salad :(
The shower dripped constantly.
The beds were ok. For the purpose of what we needed it, it was alright.
- Angela (10/5): - The staff were extra helpful. The room was neat and tidy and check in and out was a breeze. Of all the hotels and accommodation we've had for the holiday, they were the best and most helpful of all of them.
- michael (8/5): - I was happy
- Anthony B (2/5): - Left after one night. Don't recommend it
- Russell (4/5): - very old paint peeling patchwork every where just very tired
- James (10/5): - Good service
- Kellie (8/5): - Clean and this motel makes the most of what they have. Very friendly, reasonably priced.
- Jenny (6/5): - The motel was in a convenient location, central to everything, and was adequate and affordable.
We did find it inconvenient that our room was upstairs. There was a ramp but it was a long walk to our room. One of the beds was very lumpy and uncomfortable.
- Chris (2/5): - Disgusting, wreck cars in car park, and junk laying around,we actually didn’t stay because of outside and still got charged
- Emma (10/5): - The place was clean and syaff were helpful
- Stephanie (8/5): - good location
- Lloyd (8/5): - Cheap, clean and reasonably comfortable.
No really well finished, a bit untidy outside.
- Andrea (8/5): - Great location
- Carl (4/5): - Rooms sub standard, claimed renovated room had heavy rust on shower rail, shower taps were old and difficult to turn and set water temperature. Which fluctuated anyway. Would not recommend
- Vanna (8/5): - I liked its close proximity to shops and food outlets.
- Vanna (6/5): - It is in a central position which is good.
- Georgina (8/5): - It is basic, clean, close to CBD. affordable. Ok for a stopover.
- Laurence (2/5): - The place is old and dirty/mold
- Julie (10/5): - Lovely peaceful setting with beautiful views of the sunset over the mountains
- Ian (8/5): - The owners were fantastic
- Joshua (10/5): - Late night check-in was easy. 10am check-out was nice. Polite, friendly and helpful staff.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Stayed 2 nights, good location for me, comfortable beds, i little noisy being near the road though, but overall good for the price.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This motel is in a good location and rooms are huge with a good size fridge and also has a microwave and toaster too.
Very quiet room even though it is on a major road,
definitely would stay again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room we had was very shabby, they said they were renovating so maybe in a couple of years it will be better.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I booked well in advance to get the family room. When I arrived, they told me that they had let another group stay unexpectedly longer in the family room and gave us a double room instead - with no real apology let alone an offer of a discount for the inconvenience. After looking at the website, they had charged me $5 more for the double room than is listed on their website. I found them unprofessional and untrustworthy.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - They brought me another hairdryer when mine could not work.
A worker took my overnight bag to my room.
- Loraine (8/5): - Clean, comfortable bed, decent shower, microwave & Tv & free wifi all we needed.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Air-con barely kept up with the temperature in spring. Room smelled strongly of cleaner covering up something else.
- Bron (8/5): - Staff were very Helpful at Check in. Doing the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail the next day and was able to leave the bikes safely downstairs. 2 bedside lights were broken in the room.
- Kerri (6/5): - It's clean but old,nice &friendly office staff&very central for looking around
- Leticia (10/5): - It is so relaxing and friendly and luxury I would recommend this hotel to anyone I would live here it's one of the best hotels I've been at
- Lorraine (10/5): A great stopover - The hosts were so friendly and helpful. Room was large; shower was awesome, like being in a beautiful rain shower. Location also brilliant - a block from a supermarket with late closing.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - No dramas..all needs were met. Room and bathroom always cleaned.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Pet friendly good location
Clean easy parking had things to do close by
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Parking unsatisfactory all parking taken when we arrived so had to park out on the street. Low maintenance of property
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Property was in a great central location & the staff were warm & welcoming & the room was cosy .
- Verified traveler (8/5): - neighbours a tad noisy in downstairs private yard which is out of the hotels control but otherwise ok.
- Haze (8/5): - The property was old and they were updating and repairing.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Check in was nightmare. car park was full. grounds were dirty
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Quite comfortable and for its age well presented. Little bit noisy but not really a problem
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room smelled and was very stuffy, very low bed, no shower screen so the water went all over the floor which I had to clean. Small TV.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Convenient location - The motel room was clean and comfortable. The motel itself was located within easy walking distance to Ipswich City Centre with shops, restaurants, cafes etc. close by. Dominoes, a Thai and Indian restaurant are just across the road and a lovely café is down the street. Overall good value for money if you don't mind the décor being a little outdated.
- Rachel (10/5): - It’s was amazing, can’t fault it
- Ambe (8/5): - It was ok, facilities were close by, restaurant opposite very convenient. Great shower. We didn’t get the rooms we booked for which caused little bit of inconvenience.
- Lance (8/5): Good - Always good stopped there about 15 times close to restaurants and pizza take away
- Gary (8/5): Nice and easy walk into the city centre. - Close to the city centre of Ipswich
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Customer service lacking. Incorrect times to check in advertised. Mould smell in room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nothing to mention.
This section should not be limited to 50 charectors!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Certainly filled what I required clean comfortable bed. Good and handy to town and shopping. It also had microwave and cutlery which was a big bonus for me. Yes I would stay there again.
- Gary (10/5): Handy to most places in the heart of Ipswich - Easy walking to shops and medical services.
- Marisa (8/5): Comfortable & welcoming budget motel - This was my second stay at Ipswich Central Motel. It’s a clean, comfortable & friendly budget motel. Staff at the front desk are friendly & welcoming & were very helpful in accommodating my late check in request due to events at Willowbank Raceway running late. There are several places to eat across the road & many more within walking distance or a short drive. There are tea & coffee making facilities in the room along with some crockery & a handy microwave. There is a hospital just up the road so ambulances can be a bit noisy on occasion. Unfortunately smoking is permitted on the balcony outside rooms. As an asthmatic smoke drifting in from outside isn’t welcome but there’s not much you can do. It’d be nice if smoking was moved to a designated area away from rooms.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - It was a terrifying place to stay. It was not as advertised here on Expedia. The photos on Expedia are years outdated. Repairs/paint over the years was poor condition. Carpet has never been cleaned, full of stains. The beds were old and uncomfortable. Dated bedding, faded and stained terribly. Room smelt like someone had died In there. I could put up with the street noise but no sound proofing between rooms, could clearly hear the TV thru the wall all through the night. I got limited sleep, I felt extremely stressed and couldn't relax. On a positive note the bathroom was clean and tidy and the staff were nice. I cannot recommend to anyone. Expedia need to update the pictures and description to reflect the actual condition of the facility. I'm disappointed in having stayed there.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The motel was in walking distance to the CBD and there were three food outlets just across the street.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean. Good room. Private. Close to everything. Quiet
- Allan (8/5): Good location - Is not a wow place to stay but for what I needed it was good enough.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Property well positioned for us, one of the older motels in Ipswich, but has been refurbished and is in good condition. A few things need to be looked at such as one point on the ramp, but everything else was quite good.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We simply needed a bed and shower for the night - and this motel was perfect for our needs - surprisingly quiet as it is near a busy road, with comfortable bed and a good shower at a very reasonable price.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Good location to the shop You can walk to wear you have to go.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Close to the Ipswich Hospital.
Takeaway is conveniently close
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Was very old needs a lot of work inside and outside.
