- Jenny (7/5): It was very pleasant and suited our needs - The location suited our needs Checking in was really good The room was bright, it was a delight to walk into Lovely appearance inside the room The mugs provided were stained on the inside When having a shower it took along time for the water to drain away and I thought it may flood the room, I had to keep turning the shower taps off. I didn't like how the curtain was coming off the curtain rail.

Didn't say sorry, and even blamed us for not noticing she checked us into the wrong room. No staff on site despite it being a weekend. They only communicated via phone. They did not read booking.com messages Floor was sandy before we checked in, which inevitably ended up in the bed. Aside from the sand, bed was uncomfortably firm The room was quite bright overnight, fridge was continuously noisy throughout the night. I wouldn't bother staying here, try somewhere else

- Lockwood (9/5): If you are looking for clean and easy accommodation in a great location, definitely worth a look. - It’s clean, pretty and welcoming . The property is an old motel which has been recently renovated really well.The parking at the back layout allows for a lovely central courtyard to sit with your cup of tea and book, exactly what you want on a relaxing morning holiday. The staff super quick to respond for requests for more tea, and instructions for arrival clear and straightforward and made the process easy. Location directly across from the beach made it a good base for our girls weekend away. 10 minute drive to the hot springs and 10 minute Uber to the gin distillery…. We had the twin room which does have the most restricted access to the courtyard, but this was not a big issue at all.

The reception office was not manned and it needs to be not only for security reasons but to deal with sudden issues that arise from time to time. Also I found the shower base very slippery. Bit of a safety hazard there.

Welcoming message and instructions to check in were clear and easy to follow. Price was best in the area for the time we visited. Outside courtyard area was super cozy and relaxing, we enjoyed our breakfast outside. That I didn’t stay longer!

- Kiger (9/5): Comfiest beds and linens ever - Most comfortable bed or was like sleeping on clouds, room was so clean, neat and organised. Beautifully decorated and although older style, everything has been renewed and upgraded We stayed in a garden view room which was light filled and looked out over a beautiful courtyard and garden with great areas immediately outside of door. Easy check in process and very secure. Unfortunately we had someone sitting in the shared courtyard chain smoking for hours and due to the nature of the older style glass doors the smoke permeated our room and I had a bad asthma attack as a result. This is something that may be out of the control of the motel however.

Very easy to book and get into our room. The only thing was that the bathroom door could use an inside latch to lock but honestly tgat wasn't really a problem.

- Rosa (10/5): Not what I expected very cute place. - The room was clean, tidy and very nice decor. The bed was very comfortable. The courtyard was very pretty with colourful flowers and nice chairs. It could have done with a full length mirror.
- Sally (8/5): Perfectly private and colourful garden room on the Bay. - A beautifully styled, well appointed and recently updated small queen room. A surprise bonus is that all rooms open onto a colourful and very private central garden, for relaxing, reading and eating. What a quiet oasis. Lots of work has been done on this classic beach motel by nee owners and still more to do but don’t let that put you off. Would be a perfect place to stay for singles and small groups of friends. Room is on the smaller side for 2 people, but very comfortable even so.

Super clean and handy facilities. The backyard is so chill and nice, love reading out there. Shout out to Lexy as she took care of us so well and was responsive. Nothing but it would be perfect if there is an extra full-body mirror in the room.

- Renee (10/5): A safe nest to rest away from home. - It’s not often you stay at a motel that genuinely feels like home. From the moment we walked in, you could feel that each room has been thoughtfully set up and lovingly maintained. There’s warmth in the details, it doesn’t feel like a random motel room, it feels like stepping into a little nest that’s been created with care. You can tell the owner is truly passionate about what she does. That love shows in everything, the atmosphere, the cleanliness, the comfort, and the little touches that make such a difference. Even the plants in the room are super happy! The foreshore across the road, is peaceful and quiet. Highly recommend to anyone wanting somewhere that feels welcoming, calm and genuinely cared for. We’ll absolutely be back. 🤍

The sliding barn door to bathroom is a nice feature but needs a handle on the inside to slide it fully closed. The addition of suitcase racks was really handy. Aircon, wifi and tv worked well. The beds were unbelievably comfortable! Great location to shops and beach access. I would recommend. Addition of a full length mirror would be nice. Bathroom could do with a separate hand towel ring, double towel rack and perhaps a little bench to sit a change of clothes.

Lexy was also very prompt in communications. Appreciate the flexibility with allowing late check-out on a long weekend! Floors could benefit from a better vacuum and mop.

The theme/colour of the space is so refreshing to the eyes. Cozy feels when you enter the bungalow. Minor things: super soft pillow, there were small flies inside, and because it is along the main road..so traffic noise.

The bedroom is a good size, the beds are very comfortable, and the sheets are spotless. The location is excellent—very convenient. I was satisfied with the property overall. For future improvement, it would be helpful to install a fly screen on the back door leading to the backyard, so the door can be left open for fresh air.
