• Russell (10/5): Enchanting shack, right by the beach, lovely and friendly hosts - When we arrived we were right away enchanted by the cute shacks and the location, across the road from the beach. It was so easy to check ourselves in, get comfortable and simply enjoy the lovely sunset for dinner and breakfast on the balcony, simply enchanting. Not much negative to say, we were a little worried that snakes would get into the house as it was fully open everywhere with no fly screens, but they would have ruined the atmosphere, so we didn't mind, just had to close up everything for the night.

Door de open houten constructie heb je bij warmte haast geen airco nodig (die is er overigens wel). Midden in het groen met vogels om je heen en uitzicht op zee, zit je hier helemaal top! De villa is niet echt goed afsluitbaar, maar we zijn maar uitgegaan van vertrouwen in de mens.

Für uns war der Aufenthalt hier einfach traumhaft. Vielen herzlichen Dank für diese wunderbare Zeit – wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt!

• Tracey (9/5): Will be coming back again 100% - Beautiful outlook in the afternoon sun with a great atmosphere sitting in the surrounds The location for a walk with beautiful scenery, very serene. My husband especially liked the beach bar at the bottom of the steps.

We could charge our Tesla at one of the parking spots. The location is amazing for walks around 1770 and to go on tours with the Larc and to the Reef. Since the house is open we had massive bugs flying in and out. The mattress in the master bedroom is ready for a replacement. One of the activities in the book (kangaroo sanctuary) opening hours are incorrect (it’s 5-6pm but really not recommended unless you just want to see kangaroos and can ignore the owners extremist views and incorrect facts about kangaroos). Our first couple of days we couldn’t swim in the bay because of an algae sediment that was rotting in there, the whole of 1770 stank and apparently it’s a recurring event every summer. There is never anyone at reception.

• Siska (8/5): Uniek ingerichte, schone accommodatie in het mooie, rustige Town 1770. - Uniek ingerichte accommodatie aan de zee in het prachtige Town 1770. In Town 1770 is niet veel te doen. Je moet voor veel zaken met de auto reizen. Leuk restaurant met vriendelijk personeel naast het appartement.
• Melinda (10/5): Wonderful, we would stay here again. - The property was gorgeous, it had a real treehouse feel. We were on the second unit up the stairs so it also felt very private. This was walking distance to the beach which was amazing. We had four people, but it slept up to 6 so it was very spacious. We really loved spending time on the balcony overlooking the beach. There were no good dining options in walking distance (the restaurant downstairs was average and didn't start serving coffee until 10:30), however it was less than a 10min drive to some great options and the cooking facilities in the room were wonderful.

• Livia (10/5): Such a lovely place - great view! - It’s a very lovely, hidden gem. Great views! Nice Barbecue on the veranda. We loved it! Be aware of the temperature and get some mozzy spray — the living room is outdoors (which makes the place special), but one of the two bedroom AC units wasn’t working. Luckily, the weather was nice, so it didn’t get too hot.

We spotted this place when visiting 1770 while staying at Agness Waters a few weeks ago, then noticed it on the net. Next stay will be in the tree house, best view. It looked just like the pictures online. It was spacious, comfortable, well-appointed with everything you could want or need. The extra little touches made it all the more special. The beach was just over the road. The sunsets were picture perfect and the view during the day was equally spectacular. Next door was a bar and restaurant. We could not hear any noise as it was mainly people having a quiet drink and dinner to enjoy the view. A short walk to the Marina and you find a few more really nice restaurants and other facilities. There were a few stairs to get to our accommodation. We were aware and okay with that. For anyone with mobility issues maybe check with the host before booking to see if there is an alternative.

We did eventually drag ourselves out and walk up to the headland. We had the best burger from the Coral Sea takeaways in Agnes Waters, bringing it back to the treehouse deck and watching the sunset. We also enjoyed cooking on the BBQ on the deck. Facilities were ample. It was a bit pricey

The host was amazing. The room we stayed in was on the second level and our main view was the roof of the apartment in front of us. There is a lot of stairs to the higher levels and is quite steep, My partner and I were ok with this though, but it made me think about people who didn't know this when they booked.

• Avril (10/5): First time stay in 1770 - The views were spectacular, quiet area most of the time, staff were extremely pleasant, loved how the accommodation was on the hill hence there were no other guests going past the front door so privacy was what we wanted and it was most certainly delivered. Not much, we had everything we needed.
