Ideal location for bringing back my grandchildren close to park and the beach. Room had microwave and sink also a balcony to dry beach towels and swimmers.

We were lucky enough to have lovely weather and enjoyed our stay in SA - The location, value and staff were great The bed, mattress was very soft and had a big dip in it. I had to fold up blankets and put under mattress to lift it up, but still not comfortable. Also mould in the grout in bathroom/shower and hair. Coffee cups had not been washed, dried coffee stains in them.

• Leah (4/5): Okay place to stay - Bed’s comfortable, Location was great, close to bars, restaurants/buffet, parks and beach Was not very clean in bathroom and floors and asked staff to fix it and nothing was cleaned during stay. Car park gets full during buffet times with diners parking in there no designated spots.

• Julia Nicole (9/5): Overall we had a great stay at this hotel and loved the location overall. - The room was reasonably spacious and clean. It was decorated beautifully and had a small kitchen area which was great. Both beds were comfy and room service very efficient. There were some cigarette butts out on the balcony which made it less appealing to go out there and chairs were very dirty. The door to the balcony was jammed and hard to open. The stairs up to the rooms were not great and put me off a bit. Also the carparks under cover were very narrow.

Very dated, narrow and dark. Maybe a fresh coat of paint, widening of the path access, new lighting and even a dumb waiter for luggage would help.

Rooms were a bit dark, had to turn the lights on early, couldn’t figure out the heating, walls in most rooms looked water damaged.

Bed only had cover pulled over, towel not changed and parking spot that was an extra charge on bookings was not provided or refunded. Would not recommend this accommodation under any circumstances.

If I didn’t come up with a card in my name I wasn’t able to checkin even though I provided my drivers licence for ID? Id like to add that the receptionist was very friendly but those are the rules?

Upon checking in we realised that the place wasn’t prepared for our arrival, none of the stated complementary items were there, the place hadn’t been aired out, was extremely hot upon arrival, blood stains from other guests were on the sheets. For the price I wouldn’t recommend the stay, could find much nicer/affordable places without the biohazard. No refund or partial refund would be discussed either.

• MelzyW (8/5): Handy and comfy in Glenelg. - Good solid room, everything you need, with onsite dining and the beach a few hundred metres walk away. Bed was comfy and the bathroom good enough. All good for an overnighter.
