Guest Reviews
- Jordanna (2/5): - They advertised a pool and the pool was dirty you couldnt swim. The blankets were just tossed in a cupboard on the floor and they advertise wifi and when they go at about 8pm they turn it off.
- Karen (4/5): - Very old property. Bed uncomfortable. Floor not clean
- Sharndra (4/5): - We didn’t end up staying because even though I rang and confirmed my booking the day before…when I got there they had no booking for me at all. We weren’t the only ones in this predicament either. Was not happy with their attitude about it. Will not try a stay there again. Very disappointed!
- Inam (8/5): - Good value for moeny
- Marc (6/5): - Pool was not usable, wifi was practically non existent, room was very old and felt dirty. A lot of money for a very old motel with old facilities
- Alan (8/5): - This motel has been refurbished and is neat and clean. We enjoyed a good night's sleep. The pool was crystal clear.
- Clive (8/5): - Easy check in/out. Friendly staff. Room and bed comfortable. Great location close to supermarket and beach
- Kevan (8/5): - Great location on outskirts of Woolgoolga, and really friendly hosts.
Easy to find and just a few hundred metres from Woolies and bottle shop, as well as next to a well stocked servo.
Basic but clean and relatively cheap accomodation which is ideal for a stopover.
Recommended.
- Raymond (8/5): Nice staff and the room is OK. - We spent one night in the motor inn. The room is basic. The price is reasonable so we didn't expect much. Staff are very friendly.
- Stephen (4/5): - The property is seriously in need of an update not worth the 180 a night we paid.
- Karen (8/5): - The receptionist was very accommodating and friendly. The toilet in unit 5 was broken (not the plumbing, the surrounding and it was loose on the floor). Bed was comfy and room was clean enough.
- Peter (8/5): - Old and easy
- Mat (8/5): - Tiny Queen bed. Seemed more like a double
- Graeme (8/5): - Clean, but basic.
- Tracy (2/5): - There is no excuse for dirtiness. This ancient, shabby and rundown property should be removed from the Wotif system. Awful.
- Amy (2/5): - Wow is all i can say! Blood splatters on the fan and on 3 parts of the roof, 1 thin blanket for main bed and only sheets for single bed! Sink isnt even attached to the bench in kitchen, only 1 plate to eat off and it was dirty as well as cutlery! Mould all over the kitchen window door falls off in the bathroom, air con looks like its never been cleaned had to purchase glen 20 and unfortunately had to use air con due to 1 blanket provided to the room. Absolutely disgusted and cannot believe i was charged $165 for a room with blood on the roof. Like woah definitely needs to be closed down. Money lost on our holiday due very disgusting environment that i didn't want to be in
- Marianne (6/5): - Fine if staying 1 night on your way through
- Sara (6/5): - The room was clean and the beds were comfortable and that’s the main thing. Staff and other residents were friendly.
Our main criticism was that there was quite a bit of noise from something out the back - maybe a hot water heater or air con or a generator which was very loud in our room. Also smells from residents smoking and cooking seeped into our room. We didn’t get the wifi password and our tv didn’t work, but it didn’t really matter.
- Malcolm (6/5): - very large refrigerator.
- Jayne (4/5): - The people running the motor inn were friendly however the motor inn appeared to be home to long term stayers, and operate more like a caravan park than a motel.
- David (6/5): - .
- Kim (8/5): - Clean well appointed pleasant
- Ken (8/5): - Nice, verandah light shined into room All night. Blinds were inadequate to create a darkened room.
- Zelko (6/5): - It was an ok place for a stopover
- Cathy (4/5): - Air conditioning barely worked, shower screen held together with string. Verandah dirty. Smoke came in from people smoking outside. Staff were friendly and helpful.
- Trevor (8/5): - Nice, clean conveniently located. Reasonable for the price.
- Mark (10/5): - Great close to Woolworths
- Kirsten (10/5): - Excellent as always
- Kane (4/5): - Manager was very nice, however the guests next door were up until 2am…. Very frustrating
- Jeanny (6/5): - .
- Allison (6/5): - Owner very friendky
- Kirsten (10/5): - Owner is wonderful and very friendly, once again ill gladly stay again
- Louise (6/5): - Small rooms. Showrr toilet basin very basic.
- Visa (2/5): Terrible place! Hotels should NOT endorse! - This Hotel is a dump. It was smelly. The Windows did not close and lock properly. We felt uncomfortable staying at this hotel and we left and stayed elsewhere.
- Clare (4/5): - We were greeted nicely upon arrival. Checked into our room which I would not stay at again. The roon completely stunk like vomit, towels and linen were covered in stains. Luckily we were only there for 1 night. Not worth the price!!!
- Asad (2/5): - Very smelly rooms with lots of bugs on the bed. I had to bring my perfumes to spray in rooms. Dust on tables. bathroom smelly too.
- Lenore (10/5): - Full size fridge and freezer 👍microwave tea& coffee no cutlery or plates .?
- Kristina (4/5): - The service for the motel was fantastic. Unfortunately that is where the positive reviews end. Bugs and cockroaches everywhere (one crawled across the bed at night), blinds didn't work, fan very noisy, mouldy shower curtain, sticky floors, no fan or aircon in second bedroom.
- Matthew (2/5): - We arrived for an overnight stay to find the place extremely run down, and worse than that, there was a horrible smell in the room.
When i spoke to the front desk they informed me that they had recently had the carpet cleaned, but were unable to find the source of the small.
They tried some deodoriser spray, but it had little effect.
They the offered us our money back and we had to find alternate accommodation for the night.
An overall terrible experience for a room that was extremely overpriced without the smell.
- Shelagh (4/5): - Unfortunately the room was unclean and had a bad smell. Cockroaches were also about
- Bernard (8/5): - Suited my requirements
- Rachel (2/5): - Unfortunately this property was below expectations for a basic motel. The property smelled like a wet dog in the main room and we had to sleep in the childrens room to escape the smell. The bathroom was outdated but clean and no mould but there was no sink to wash your hands or brush your teeth. Some of the sheets had stains and the fly sceens were detatched so couldn't open windows . The light fitting had no cover and all the wires exposed and there was no battery in the smoke alarm. The windows were dirty and the place needs a paint and upgrade. Could not wait to leave and would not stay again.
- Bruce (4/5): - Bed was clean & fresh but that’s it
- deepika (4/5): - Welcome was pleasing by the owner but the room was not in good condition, mat room smells so bad and even tile floor is not cleaned. We spray disinfecting spray to get rid of that. Also, there is cockroaches in the room plus bed sheets smells so bad that we have to buy our own blankets from kmart. We paid 600$ but it’s not worthing
- Andrew (4/5): - The bed was comfortable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I did not like the fact that the Queensland border became closed to us.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The property was very budget.
Rooms a small & basic, but clean.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Mould in bathroom, cobwebs on cieling. Dirty toilet brush, microwave not clean pictures available
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean and friendly service
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Comfortable without frills
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly, prompt staff
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Basic accommodation on main road. Clean, tidy and comfortable bed. Good stopover accommodation
- Gayle (2/5): Great place but noisy neighbours! - We could not fault the facilities at all, unfortunately the people in the room next door were extremely loud, slamming car doors and loading up eskies with bags of ice that they had slammed on the pathway in front of our room at midnight!!! Then when they came back at around 3am, they kept walking around in the gravel carpark and they were laughing and speaking like it was the middle of the day and everyone was already awake!
Woolgoolga was a middle point in a 12hr round trip, so it was very distressing to have such a disturbed sleep.
The owner was lovely so I would like to think he wouldn’t be happy to hear what happened.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The motel was neat and tidy, reception friendly and the location very convenient
- Neville (8/5): Surprising stay in Woolgoolga - Comfortable beds,Queen & Single
Good size TV. Off main road so very quiet.
Full size fridge and microwave is a bonus.
Good size shower with good water pressure but no bath mat or hand towel. Bath towels a bit thin. Coffee, biscuits and milk provided.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Someone had gone to the toilet in our property before we got there. The lights outside were so bright it was like daytime and the curtains didn’t cover the entire windows. One window over the sink had no curtain at all. Obviously it wasn’t promoted as a 5 star accomodation but was very basic and had a bit of a bates motel feel to it. Someone also knocked on our door at 430am. Wouldn’t stay here again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - My reservation was cancelled by the property half an hour after I booked it. They then texted me a few days later with an odd message about when I was checking in, to which I told them they cancelled it on me, then they told me they had a cancellation and did I still want it (I did not, having had to make other arrangements). Then I got a phone call on the day I was originally going to check in asking me what time I was coming... Absolute farce, terrible management.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good place to stay. Friendly staff whilst checking in
- Neeraj (8/5): All good. - Bathroom is too small and there is no washbasin in the the accommodation. Room size is good. Last night someone staying there out loud music even after midnight.
- RD (4/5): - Old and in poor condition with people living in rooms beside us
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location.
Friendly host - appreciated flexibility on checkout.
- Victoria (8/5): - Comfortable and clean, perfect for an overnight pit stop.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Floors needed a good steam clean. Very old air conditioner, too afraid to use it due to room feeling dusty.
- Dinesh (8/5): Great location - Great location and perfect for our road trip from SYDNEY to Gold Coast
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I am not sure where it came from but there was a distinct smell of cigarette smoke other that we were happy with everything
- t (4/5): - Reception and welcome was below par. Mucked me around with my booking. Very rude staff.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Woke to atleast 5 cockroaches on the floor and walls. There were flies and moths in the room also.
The bathroom smelt like sewerage and the condition of the furniture is something you would find at a tip shop and there was female hair all over the floor.
Probably the worst motel I’ve ever stayed in.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Door wouldn't lock properly and fridge was really noisy
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Entertainment area is a bonus , would be great in the summer months.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Thin towels, no shampoo provided, area outside rooms littered with cooking implements, dirty ashtrays. Vanity and kitchen area combined. Bathroom door disintegrating. No decent food available in vicinity of motel. Obviously some attempt at renovation but still somewhat run down.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - affordable , clean, basic but comfortable and apart from timber window frame and door the room had been recently updated
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Dirty micro wave, rusty kettle, greasy floor ( tiles) just didn’t want to stay there. I do not recommend
- Mark (8/5): Woolgoolga motor inn - Great little hotel, it's a bit older but was clean n comfortable , service was good too, only stayed the one night but would stay a again
- Verified traveler (8/5): - rooms were quite and no noise of road or others in rooms
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Friendly staff
No fuss
Basic and nice
Close to supermarket
