Alex (10/5): Family over night stay - No 1 motel was easy to find, staff was helpfully. Accommodation was basic but comfortable and everything we needed. Had good selection of cereals and bread for breakfast with spreads.

Best part of the stay was the best shower we had while being away. Probably wouldn’t stay again but only because of our needs.

Susan (6/5): - We loved the location of No 1 Motels. We were able to walk to nearby shops and park. Lots of food shops around. The room was basic but very clean and really nice for the price. We liked the shared kitchen, It was very clean and well equipped. I would have loved to stop here regularly but unfortunately some people came in drunk and made a lot of noise between 12 and 2am which meant we didn't get much needed rest. I would suggest that in future, people have to agree to a statement on the booking form that says something like : 'If you cause a disturbance to other residents, you may be asked to leave immediately, at management's discretion, with no refund."

In our room, the tv aerial reception was so bad, constantly pixellating the screen it was unwatchable. As it was only 1 night & we were tired it wasn't too much of a problem but if we were staying longer it would be a concern.

Deidre (2/5): - The room smelt terrible, the shower would start and then stop for 30 seconds the. Start for a bit and stop again which meant it took forever for the hot water to finally come through. Couldn’t wash hair due to this. The door wouldn’t shut properly so while my son was trying to figure out how to do this the neighbours were shouting at him to shut up! Couldn’t phone down to reception. Car park was quite far from the entrance and it was pouring with rain so got soaked bring bags in, multiple trips up and down the stairs no elevator for all the bags. Beds comfortable enough though but overall experience was very frustrating and annoying.

Plenty of facilities to prepare and cook meals. Great location to be able to walk around town. After our first night, the hallway carpets were being professionally cleaned. Was not an issue to us, but the host apologised for the noise unprompted and gave us a gift of some free snacks which the kids loved! Very friendly place.
