- Alexis (10/5): Amazing place - The room was amazing. So beautiful. They recommended the pub next door which didn't disappoint. Really enjoyed the night and will definitely come back
- Anthony (7/5): - Milk could be available in the fridge in the bar room at all times Not many people like longlife milk and have a choice of lite milk and have margarine available for breakfast Also instructions for heater useA bar fridge would be ideal in the rooms

- Vivienne (10/5): We have stayed here a number of times and it never fails to impress. - Convenience to Airport and the ambiance. Nothing
- Jennifer (10/5): Very pleasant - Great location for where I needed to be. The room was clean and comfortable, everything you would need was available I only stayed for one night, there was nothing that disappointed me
- Linda (10/5): Wonderful people, lovely accommodation, perfect location. - Comfortable bed, great shower, beautiful room. Always choose to stay here. Get looked after very well - very accommodating to my late check ins and dogs being with me. Perfect to be able to stay just out of Melbourne so that my journey in the next morning is manageable for early appointments.

- Graham (10/5): Will be returning next time when we are in the area - The breakfast was perfectly prepared A1 start to the day don't change a thing excellent in every way Nothing excellent service A1
- Daniela (9/5): Überraschend schön. - Super nette Kommunikation
- Sheryl (8/5): Very comfortable stay in this characterful historic building. - The Little River Bread and Breakfast has so much character! The rooms and foyer/dining room have retained their history while being refurbished and very comfortable. Room was very quiet. The breakfast was a little disappointing - a self-serve motel-type breakfast (cereal/toast).
- alice (10/5): -
- Simon (10/5): - After sailing for 2 weeks, I loved the hot shower!
- Nicola (9/5): -
- Bonnie (10/5): - I loved staying in a historical building; it was warm and cozy. The bed as very comfortable, and facilities were wonderful.

- Barbara (10/5): - Excellent location as party at hotel next door
- Tiana (9/5): -
- Meredith (6/5): - It was very clean with a comfortable bed I met a staff member very briefly at the beginning of my stay. Otherwise no contact.
- Simone (10/5): Would be back as excellent accommodation with breakfast - Beauty of the property-we stayed in the blue stone room -beautifully appointed with excellent detail and cleanliness Nothing to do with the property as it was out of their control but one couple left very early in the morning-3.30am and another st 4.30 am which woke us up and was a bit annoying as we had a 10 hour road trip in front of us - but being picky !!
- Paul (10/5): -
- Moya (7/5): -
- Gabriel (10/5): -
- Barry (10/5): - Quiet Airport access
- Richard (10/5): Great experience - Spacious bedroom and bathroom; comfortable bed, breakfast (cereal and toast) available from 5 am onwards - perfect for birding at the nearby "Western Treatment Plant' ( globally-important wetlands) No improvements needed
- Ariane (10/5): - It was clean, helpful staff, good facilities, very comfortable bed. Nothing. We only did an overnight stay so we didn't come up against anything we didn't like. It served our purpose for a stop over.
- Gabriele (9/5): Gepflegte ruhige Unterkunft - Eine sehr wohnliche, gut ausgestattete Unterkunft.
- King (8/5): - The beds were very comfy very quiet nice place to be Any problem we had was the toilet wasn't flushed properly in the sheets had dirt stains on them
- Taylar (5/5): Over priced but lovely - It was a lovely little town. The first impressions of the exterior are lovely apart from the broken play ground (for kids). It was well cleaned and the pool table was a good touch. For the price you pay you expect a little more or at least some effort. We stayed in the bluestone room and yes it was lovely but was different to pictures, missing the drapes over the four poster bed, lamps are cheap and didn’t fit as well as feels a little depressing due to being dull with no to little decor, some flowers would have livened it up. The bath room was lovely but yet again needed a touch of love, the “bath” is a Devine depth and the twin shower is just wonderful when showering with another. The toiletries on the other hand where a miss with only getting conditioning shampoo and body wash no conditioner or lotion ( i even double checked the shampoo bottle). Towel’s were gorgeous on the skin. The heaters take a long time to kick in and the heated blanket didn’t work on one side. The little kitchen/bar was cute but badly labeled so you have to have a look in most drawers or cupboards to find something, I couldn’t find the games but found a cellar (hazard risk but was lovely to see). The pool room was sublime if only it was thought out a tad more as the table is slightly too big but a broken window or frame will be expected. 😊 the breakfast isn’t worth it being given only Rice Bubble, Wheat-bix, oats or yoghurt and spreads for bread. Our wifi didn’t work either but over all a good night spot being that we can bring our fur baby.
- Marco (4/5): - Nobody there
Not seen a single face. Just a code on paper, pasted on the door.
Bed and breakfast... the breakfast was 4 slice of bread on a plate with plastic. Diversiteit of stuff to put on was poor, and nobody for a talk or service. All self service with poor instructions.
For dinner, i wanted to go to hotel next door, as per B&B recommendations, but the hotel was cloaed that day.
The B&B is in the middle of nowhere. You have to drive 20 minutes towards Lara to find some food.
The B&B wild west theme is cool. It is nicely done. But nobody at the bar, Pooltable covered, nobody to be seen. Its a wild west ghost town.
Used the Iron to flatten my white shirt. But when i did the sleeves, my shirts chest was all grey by dust. Everything except the decoration
- Margaret (9/5): We’ll be back - Our room being warm when we arrived as it was freezing outside.
Great access to kitchen facilities
Spotlessly clean
Very comfy bed We would have liked a plug in the basin
- Matthew (10/5): Quiet, warm & rustic stay - We really enjoyed staying here! We got up in the morning had Vegemite toast, and walked the 5km to the You Yangs.
After 15km of fantastic hiking & the view at Flinders Peak we hiked back and had hot showers (nice, really hot water!) and jumped in the bed which was toasty thanks to the electric mattress topper .
We loved Little River - very quaint & friendly folks! Definitely coming back; thank you!
- Emily (10/5): - Really cute place to stay. We loved playing a game of pool in the bar area and the bedroom was warm and comfy on a cold night. Having breakfast things available to make for an early departure was super convenient too.
- Tony (8/5): -
- Miroslav (10/5): - Beautiful historic building
- Christina (10/5): Great set up and very comfortable bed too. -
- Joanne (8/5): Great short stay - The b&b located in an old renovated pub was exciting, especially entering through the old bar. The bedroom was lovely and the bathroom superb, though I missed not having a table and chair. The breakfast laid out in the former public bar was exceptional. I didn’t want to dine alone at the next door hotel, but it was great - a terrific meal, helpful staff and lots of happy families. Though I didn’t actually meet any staff, they left me a comprehensive and lovely note. Will certainly stay again if I’m in the area. Thank you. Well, the neighbouring train line took a bit of getting used to.
- Nadine (8/5): Very good - Loved the unique ambience and the homely feel. Beds are well used.
- Donna (10/5): Relaxing comfortable environment - This is an amazing property very comfortable and clean in a beautiful location Nothing
- Kevin (10/5): - Quirky, historical yet modern with lots of interesting features about, was very easy to commute to the Melbourne airport
- Stuart (10/5): Very comfortable, easy to arrange and great room. Highly recommended. - Very easy to arrange and the facilities were perfect. A peaceful environment with a comfortable room and modern bathroom, The bed was big and very comfortable. I highly recommend. Not applicable
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Martin (10/5): Had problems with our hire car and Tanya went out here way at 7:15 in the morning to get us going. -
- Forrest (10/5): Very peaceful and perfect - It was a beautiful building. With lots of character..
Quiet
Clean
No fuss tanya, was very sweet.
And helpful Nothing, it was lovely
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tania (6/5): A good place to sleep and stopover - Easy to get into, well set up and clean No-one around - didn't see anyone but sharing a house with others (guest house). Breakfast was awful - cheap cereals aand bread
- Ewan (8/5): Very good -
- Julie (9/5): Comfortable, convenient place to stay when I'm visiting the area. - My second stay at Little River B&B. Comfortable room, good sized bathroom. Plenty of carparking space. Will be staying here again on my next trip to the area. Can hear the arrival and departure of other guests to nearby rooms, but to date nothing too loud or disturbing. The door lock on my room was a little temperamental at the time of my stay.
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good -
- Nicolas (8/5): - Very clean and tidy.
- Kelly (10/5): Little river bed and breakfast ensures a Tranquil and ambient stay - The owner was so easy to deal with. Accomodation was immaculate and I slept well in the comfy beds. They helped out with parking for my precious cargo. You can tell they care a lot about this property as a lot of love has gone into the surrounds. There was nothing I didn’t like. It was awesome
- Brian (8/5): Very good - Our bathroom could have had a little more shelf space especially in the shower itself, there was no soap holder or places to put the normal things one has in a shower cubicle.
Breakfast could have been a little more substancial than just cereal and toast for a B&B, considering the price.
Covid is long gone and was a hoax anyway, i think time to get back to normal. LOL
Other than that it was very comfortable.
- Nadine (10/5): Oodles of Country Charm - Perfectly located near Airport. With oodles of country charm and great value.
Comfortable room and shared space.
Friendly services. No air-conditioning, but it is understandable due to heritage listing.
- Sandra (9/5): Superb -
- Steenkamp (9/5): Wonderful stay. - Hostess went out of her way to assist us with transport to the airport early in the morning. None
- Piret (3/5): Poor -
- Russell (10/5): Ideal -
- William (8/5): Comfortable stop over on route to Melbourne - Check in was well organised by message and written instructions on arrival. Tanya saw us before checkout and gave us useful directions to the Dandenongs. Thank you- a little hair raising with the tram lanes but we arrived safely!
The Flinders room was clean and comfortable; the high ceilings made it cool and we used the fan for air flow.
We didn’t use the bar facilities but the set up and honesty box were appreciated. There are interesting memorabilia both inside and outside.
The breakfast consisted of cereals/muesli, milk, juice, sliced bread and jams with individual yoghurt pots in the fridge. It’s self service breakfast in the communal entrance room from 5am which also houses a pool table. There’s no room kettle; it’s easy access to the facilities in the adjacent breakfast room.
Easy parking on the drive.
- Lindy (9/5): Superb - Room was great Coffee cup was not clean so put us off using the rooms facilities, but the common room was great.
- Ann (9/5): Superb -
- Leanne (10/5): I could have just stayed forever!! - Everything 🤍
- Carol (10/5): Great place to stay, conveniently near Avalon Airport and great for travelling between Geelong and Melbourne. - Quaintly unique and comfortable.
- Philip (8/5): Very good -
- Jennifer (9/5): Lovely place to stay and sparkling clean - Lovely bedroom and bathroom, very comfortable and super clean. Very easy check in and check out. Great recommendation to go to the pub next door for dinner. Fabulous to have an honour system for the bar.
- Neil (10/5): Exceptional - Great host. Rooms beautifully appointed. Breakfast room we’ll set up.
- Dan (10/5): Perfect, just what we needed - Lovely, clean, spacious accommodation that is a perfect mix of historical (the building) and modern/practical (such as the fantastic shower room) enjoyed the character of the place and its gardens, was in the perfect location for us finishing our time on the Great Ocean Road and heading to the airport in the morning. Nothing to mention
- Riekelt (8/5): Nice place - Very clean We stayed in the Flinders room and tv did not receive pictures above channel 11 and only sound which was frustrating
- Joanne (10/5): - Clean, clean, clean.
- Marie (10/5): - Absolutely fantastic, clean and modern with dining next door. A lovely park to walk and fabulous atmosphere. Thank you.
- Kenneth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tevita (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (10/5): What an amazing find. The property is lovely. - Beautiful room. Clean and comfy. Nothing
- Stephanie (10/5): Beautiful place - How old fashion it was was great to see it preserved so well
- Dan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mikayla (8/5): Really lovely - Everything was great It got really stuffy in the room even with a fan. But otherwise was fantastic
- Denise (10/5): Little River B&B - easy access, comfortable, very clean, great location, good breakfast a ceiling fan would have been good as it was a warm night
- Robert (10/5): - Great !
- Jenny (8/5): Very good -
- Dean (8/5): Very comfortable and convenient - Very nice feel. Very homely. Very clean. Lovely layout Nothing I can think of
- Derk (10/5): - Very nice layout, maybe a fan in room for those balmy nights
- Shonand (7/5): Good - Hotel next door for food Side shower not sitting upright and unable to tighten up. Coffee machine hadn’t been emptied.
- Gunta (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was so interesting and we had a really great experience!!
It's really clean and cossy . At breakfast all was sweet. No cheese or meat.

- Dinusha (9/5): Superb -
- Warwick (8/5): Very good -
- Mcwhinney (8/5): Very good -
- anne (10/5): - A great place to stay, next to a wonderful pub.
The breakfast included was fantastic.
- Annette (10/5): 3rd time stay and when we are down seeing family we will rebook - Breakfast was simple but there was plenty to choice frr from .
It was quiet and peaceful. I think there should be some sort of coasters in the room to place our hot drinks on . Instead of placing straight onto the bedside tables and on the kitchen table
- Graeme (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darren (5/5): Other then the dogs on premises. Nice spot 👍🏼 - Excellent spot right next to the hotel great spot The smells of dogs 🐕 . And the pet bowls being washed up in the sink . 🤮
- Hanna (9/5): Superb - I never saw the owners but everything was clearly explained, and breakfast stuff magically appeared for me to use - from very early morning onwards (in a lot of places one would have to negotiate this, and this I appreciate a lot when sometimes one has to leave early in the morning to travel onwards). Many helpful tips given. Oh, and the place is really cute! Good location too, a 5 minute walk from the train platform. The breakfast was rather basic but it did get me going!
- Bianca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeff (9/5): A bit of a hidden gem. - We arrived late, and our lovely hostess had left clear directions for us to get into our rooms.
The rooms were gorgeous, and generous in size. Plenty of room to open suitcases in the bedroom, and an armchair in ours.
We had the room with the bath in the adjoining generous bathroom.
The layout of the property is quirky, as the entrance room looks like a pub bar counter, but is actually the kitchen.
The location is very quiet, or at least it was on our stay, as the pub next door was closed. Tip: check if the pub is open on your stay, or else you're faced with a drive to either Lara or Werribee for dinner. (We knew beforehand that it was closed, and had brought dinner with us and used the kitchen.)
The beds were comfortable. There's nothing, particularly that we didn't like.
- Gwyn (9/5): Superb - This B&B is a charming place combining the old with the new.
The 4 poster bed was charming and comfortable.
The ensuite was modern, with double shower as well as bath.
Loved the ambience of the building and garden.
Having a Hotel next door was an added bonus for the evening meal.
