The motel is clean, in a quiet location and economical for a visit to the NSW snowfields in winter. It's not the most modern but this is reflected in the price. The owner is friendly and helpful.

I think it was kind of rude cause someone before me turned up to be more people than they supposed to be and he got upset about it but what was it gotta do with me? Then, he assigned us with room number 8 with the so called ensuite toilet was at next door instead of inside the room itself. I booked an ensuite 7 instead with the private bathroom inside the room. They do have a good kitchen with stove, microwave and oven.

• Tajam (2/5): WORST EXPERIENCE - Besides all the good reviews had a bad experience with this property. The person on the reception is so short tempered he need a psychiatrist. Very harsh and rude. I know customer is not always right but its his responsibility to take care each and every one. If the check in time mentioned in the booking starts at 1600hrs it means who ever is responsible to attend the guests will be there before time. I hope you will read this review and understand the customers point of view. If your getting late to reach on time and attend the guest please accept it and sorry for those who waiting at a locked reception. Even after you pushed me and misbehaved i asked you very nicely to give me in written as a proof that you are cancelling my booking so i can get my money back but you didn’t understand it in simple. Still my money is not returned to me till today. I reported this to hotels.com but neither you nor this booking site is taking any responsibility. Which leads me to take a serious actions against both of you

• Ben (8/5): Old school motel with good service - The Snowdream Motel is a clean, but basic motel nearby Thredbo and Perisher. The room was relatively spacious, with plenty of room to put bags. The bathroom was clean and the shower pressure is good - a big plus when it is freezing outside. This place is not fancy, the sheets on the beds don't match, neither do the towels, and they don't supply individual soaps and shampoos (they have large bottles instead), but if you are looking for somewhere warm to stay on your way to the snow, this place is perfectly adequate. The rate was good value and the manager was kind enough to have the heater running before we arrived late at night - this was a real nice touch.

It was so nice to stay in our own small lodge with fire and kitchen. would definitely stay here again. You don't really notice the extra travel time to Berridale at the end of the day once you leave the mountain.

• Sergey (8/5): Great place for a short stay! - A very comfortable stay for a very reasonable price. I was offered a room upgrade and for $90/night it was a very worthwhile stay with comfortable bedding, clean room and towels and amenities included, easy check-in with the friendly owner. Milk, tea and coffee was also provided so can't help but recommend this place. It's a pity the breakfast was not available, but apparently the demand was too low to offer, so can understand, and there is a good coffee shop nearby to have a nice brekky.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Uncomfortable experience. - The motel was nice enough. However, in our experience, the manager was completely unreasonable. There was a Micro oven but no cutlery. It promised Free WiFi in every room but it was not there. When we asked about those two things, the manager became extremely angry and agressive. He stormed into our room, started swearing in front of my two young children, became abusive and physically threatened us. It was a horrible experience. Then he demanded $500 without explaining what for or why. He actually had the hide to withdraw $500 from my credit card without my permission. I have never experienced anything like it. I then had to email him to give it back, which he did. As we left, the manager, to his credit, apologised for his behaviour. Nevertheless, I shall never stay there again.

• Tracey (8/5): A good stop on the way to the snow fields - A good stop on the way to the snowfields. All facilities are adequate enough for an overnight stay. There really isn't much too choose from around town for dinner though. Meals at the pub are very very basic. Might be best to eat at Cooma.
• Lisa (6/5): - Cute little motel located parallel with the main street of Berridale. We stayed in the shared lodge section and had own room with ensuite. The host was warm and friendly and the communal lounge area with fire, TV and attached kitchen/dining room convenient and cosy. Only drawback was noise from other guests carried to our room at 7am and the bed was not the most supportive. Nothing that earplugs wouldn't fix though if you wanted a sleep in Would recommend it.

• Alan (8/5): Convenient overnight stay not far from the snow - We stayed at the Snowdream for 1 night on our way to the snow fields. For us it was a convenient overnight stay on the drive down from Sydney before making the final leap to the snow. We arrived at the motel after midnight. The room was already prepared for us, with the air conditioner turned on - a welcome relief from the freezing temperatures outside. The room was clean and comfortable. It had 2 bunk beds and one double bed - plenty of room for our needs. Staff was helpful in accommodating our needs. We accidentally left something in the room and were able to pick it up on the way back. We enjoyed our stay there.

Michael, the manager, was friendly and very obliging with a change in date for the booking. Would be more than happy to stay there again.

Arrangements had been made by operator for our arrival; a note was left on office door advising that key was in door to our room, we find room ready and waiting. I would have preferred not to provide a staff rating as have no evidence on which to base an assessment. I suspect the motel was owner-operated and every one has the right to time off for family and health reasons. As I said above, preparations had been made for our arrival.
• Dazza (6/5): Great for families on the way to the snow. - If you are a family with 2, 3 or 4 kids and need a quick stop motel - this one has great family rooms. Simple concept - double bed and 4 bunks for the kids. Why don't most motels offer this type of accomm? Still plenty of room with all the kids. Split system r/c heater was warm and super quite at night.
• anton (6/5): Yeah nah we had to do the dishes in the shower hey - The carparks were numbered strange. Couldn't fit water bottle under tap. Had 7 beds for five people The bin was too small TV remote was hard to find at times Air con was slow to start but good once going. Overall 5/5 can't fault it
• Verified traveler (8/5): Excellent hotel for simple stay. - We stayed for one night in one of the small rooms that shared a bathroom. Hotel staff were welcoming, late check in makes it a no dramas effort after a day of skiing. Easy access to the fields. Not a world class place, but definitely worth it if you are on a budget and just after a bed. Will definitely stay again.

• Verified traveler (2/5): - Room for 4 people was tiny and cramped. Bunk beds were uncomfortable. Linen was dreadful - mismatched sheets, towels nearly threadbare. Room had no natural light or window. 2 rooms totalling 8 people had to share 1 bathroom. No tissues, no hairdryer. Whilst there was a lounge area, it was also used by the Manager. We locked the door of our room yet it was open when we returned from a day out.
• Can (8/5): Budget hotel with 4 star service - A very friendly host transferred an average hotel to a nice home away.
• BJT (8/5): Great stay - We had a 2 night stay as a family of 5. Was very comfortable, warm and clean. The main bed was super comfy, and heater worked well. Host was very friendly.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Good value - Late checkin was no problem for friendly staff , room was older but clean and AC warmed room up in 15 mins. Beds comfy and clean and warm but linen was old . Shower hot and strong. Room pretty cramped with 3 bunks and a queen bed but was all we needed for a 1 night stay before heading early to snow.
